Consider where you shop. On multiple occasions, Kroger employees could not be any more rude. Clearly, they are unhappy with their job and want to share their unhappiness with all their customers. Today I shared with the self check out lady that the previous person had forgot their groceries. Snatching the bags out of my hand and turning away without even thanking me or saying, I appreciate it ! This is terrible customer service . I have on multiple occasions brought my concerns times to Kroger management and at the end of the day they have very few words to say. Kroger needs a cleansing from the top down. I will move forward with every other grocery store, opposed to this one. Not worth my time nor my money. read more

I only go to this Kroger because it is close to my house, if I had unlimited time I would go to the Kroger in Novi. This Kroger is consistently understaffed, never any baggers and the cashiers are always rude. 80% of time I buy produce I get home and something is rotten. The Kroger is Novi is the complete opposite, friendly, clean and very helpful. I will only buy meat from Busch's because I don't trust their meat department. Update: they are almost done with the remodel but the same problems exists. When you buy a product on Monday and has an expiration date of three days later. There is a problem. Better yet, it has: Murray's cheese which is formidable, a great "dinner in a pinch" section, a great beer and wine selection, fast checkouts, excellent fish, it's a huge store and has pretty fair produce. This Kroger always feels cluttered, disorganized and understaffed. I keep going because VG's was my store and they closed I now just listlessly drive back to that area of town and pick Kroger because Bu$ch'$ always seems so pricey. I am usually in before 9am on a weekday and there are never ANY lanes open and they have me do self-checkout on a cart filled to the brim with groceries and then the staff rolls their eyes at me when they need to come over and tell the machine that yes, I did scan one of my 100 items and put it in the bag and then I had to remove the bag from the bagging area to make room and omfg come back I'm trying to buy a bottle of wine and you have to scan your card and GAAHHHHHH. I've asked if they can just open a lane and I'm met with a vague "no". This has happened so often that I'm done. I'm out. There are other grocery stores in town. read more

My 2 stars are for the deli counter, the rest of the store gets 2.5 stars. That deli counter will suck the life out of you... I only go here if I'm desperate. It's ridiculous that I have to walk a mile to get from one end of the store to the other, and if I had a nickel for every time they didn't have lemon juice, I'd buy them some fricking lemon juice so they had some. It's also staffed by people who don't give a shit. I shouldn't have to wait 5 minutes to get the person to come over to my self checkout to put in his code so this coupon works. Know somethin'? I likes me some Kroger. I can get in and out in record time compared to Meijer. The items are logically placed, and don't randomly move around. They have a good selection of organic, lactose free, humane foods. And, if you have a Kroger Card, you save money on gas. I never got around to getting a Kroger Card, but if you enter a telephone number with area code that is in the system, then you get all the discounts. With the new Kroger underway and the starbucks up and running i thought to myself " i think i will walk there and drink my coffee outside" what a mistake that turned out to be.. out of the 8 tables outside designated as starbucks seating they were all blocked by carts and then not only that but every table was taken by workers that were chain smoking and it made the whole entire inside seating area smell because the door is right there.. makes me NEVER want to get anything from the bakery/deli area. then one woman kept putting her cigarettes out on the table like they have a break room for a reason and they shouldn't be allowed to smoke in that area in front of customers. Its disgusting and not everyone smokes so not everyone wants to be around it while trying to enjoy the new area. If I could give Zero stars I would. read more

Wow. I was in Brighton today on errands and figured I'd get my shopping done while I was out. I went into the Kroger expecting the same standards I do any other local grocery store and was incredibly grossed out by how grungy the story is. Brighton is an upper middle class environment, and I expected the store to reflect that. Yes, I know that sounds especially uppity. My first stop was the restroom where I was welcomed to water all over the bathroom floor to the point it looks like somebody had dumped a bucket and left it. 2 out of the 3 stalls had no toilet paper. The stall that was flooded with a sign up indicating wet floor was the only one that had toilet paper. The garbage can was overflowing with used hand towels. In regard to the shopping experience, the produce department was generally okay, with the exception that the floor looks like it's bombed out in several places and is likely a tripping hazard. The rest of the products in the store are fine, although they don't follow the same aisle set up as most other Kroger stores. Generally speaking, the store is in major need of a remodel as soon as possible. Everything looks grungy and antiquated. read more

Their shelves are never stocked. Having run grocery stores the first priority should be to keep the sales items stocked at all times. You can go into this store at 9 am on a Saturday and all the sales items will be empty and their Dairy Department will have big holes. They don't care though. read more

I am giving this Kroger 5 stars because of the wonderful service I receive every time I am here which is at least weekly. There is always plenty of staff around to ask questions. If they don't know the answer they will ask someone who does. They have plenty of checkout lanes open so I can get in and out quickly. I have had employees go above and beyond what they need to do to help me and give great service. I know other places don't do this. This Kroger does not have the typical "chain" experience. Everyone always seems happy and friendly. My one complaint is that it is in older condition and you can tell it needs a remodel (which I heard it's getting next year) but the service more than makes up for it. read more

BEWARE OF TRAFFIC ISLAND at main store gas station located on the side entry/exit. In Dec. after a snow storm I drove over a side of it not realizing it was covered with snow & no indication that it was there. My vehicle landed hard. I inspected what had caused this & found curbs with a depression & a large rock in it. I filed an accident report at this time. My vehicle was pulling the steering to one side while driving. It had knocked out my wheel alignment. I had it inspected and repaired at Belle Tire for $89.99. Kroger refused any reimbursement. I appealed my case with photos of traffic cones & marking poles that had been installed after my incident. With very compelling evidence that this is a hazard they still refused. At this time they are not honoring my request for a copy of the decision report with the reasoning they used for the denial. Through the process I felt they didn't take my claim very serious. I realize I'm out the money, but if this helps anybody else it's worth my time. read more

I don't have a huge problem with Kroger, however there is one issue I would like to mention. When my wife and I purchase pork chops the tenderloin is being removed from the chop. But your being fooled. The top layer has the tender loin still attached but when you reach the ones under the top, the tenderloin has been removed. When we asked about the issue, the store said that they didn't do it. It was the supplier. So it's not our problem. Really? read more
