This is my Krogers. They are sometimes merely typical because everyone is human...sometimes things get missed. But this store is one up from normal, because the service is good and the food is fresh. They keep the store clean and always decorated for the current or upcoming holiday. Check out the phone app because there are a ton of coupons you can add to your krogre card -- no more worrying about accidentally leaving your coupons at home. I shop here on occasion and overall things are well paid out and fairly smooth. I removed one star because prices are higher than other similar large grocery stores. But they have a good selection that you can't find in other stores. The gas stations is nice and if you have a Kroger card (free), gas and groceries are discounted a bit. OMG. Back for another update. The "H.E.B. is looming" updates are progressing. Again, things are "looking" great, far cleaner, far more orderly LOOKING, etc. Even the staff has suddenly taken us aback by speaking to us around the store (and I do mean taken aback) with pleasantries. HOWEVER!... perhaps they thought time was right to reorganize the placement of products (not just adding new "HEB-ish" products) all across the store, which, on it's face, I can understand. But jeez, wife 'n I just went for a few things and OMG we can't find squat. And, even that isn't in-and-of-itself so terribly bad... I don't "hate change", I'm not some dinosaur boomer or a karen. I love change when it's GOOD. I love keeping things the same when it's GOOD. I hate change when it's BAD. I hate keeping things the same when it's BAD. As long as it makes sense, yes, change it. What's happened around this Kroger isn't just reorganizing, it was "chicken-with-it's-head-cut-off" overthinking! Too many examples, but here's just one: we were looking for the Shake-N-Bake. Not where it used to be. Fine. Set out to find it, so we're looking for it's like-fellows, the "starter kit" style boxes, the Hamburger Helpers, Crock Pot starters, etc., stuff like that, right? Found them, wasn't among them. Looked around, had to do the "every aisle scan" thing... ...where was it? among the flour items! The only boxed thing among the flours. Are you serious? Really? Look, I can even comprehend their thinking (over-thinking, I mean to say). "Bake". Like bread. Even though it's a main dish meat kit. Set aside how many versions are NOT wheat but corn flakes in the box... jeez. Here's the deal. They clearly got lost in their own runaway ideas about where stuff can be moved to. For all I know, they sent shoppers to HEB to copy their layout, and heck if I know what that is. But, what they clearly NEED to have done was, if they're not going to keep it as similar to what they've had for decades, but change it, they needed to ask themselves NOT where "THEY would expect to find it if they didn't already know" but where "WE would expect to find it." This is a grocery store, and among admittedly very many things, many things must be done right, and I'm sure it's not easy. But gawdallmighty, organization must be sensible, and make sense! The nutty thing is when the management gets the message about how much of a flop these changes are, they may even decide to move these things BACK and then it really WILL be unstomach-ably confusing! I know this isn't just us. I KNOW it. We literally laughed out loud at hearing another couple saying they can't find you-know-what in here anymore. Pretty sure all the others in there without someone to talk to were thinking the same thing. Man alive. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Girl Scout with her mom selling cookies and ended up buying a box. The Kroger produce maintains being overpriced, the blueberries were on sale, however still overpriced. The employees there seem to not acknowledge your presence, so customer service is lacking. They could improve by having multiple check out lanes open besides relying on the self-check out station. However Kroger is a good option for picking up a couple of items and the wait time for check out wasn't long. read more

I've been shopping at this location for a little over 2 years since moving to the area. We'll today a employee named Monica has changed that for me. I had my service animal with me as I ALWAYS do EVERYWHERE I GO!! He rides in the children's area in the basket which is fully covered while he is in there. Monica approached me as I was checking out and informed me my service animal was not allowed to be in the cart. She made me feel very unwelcome and I would appreciate her to be addressed in this situation. Not ALL disabilities are visible and she needs to be corrected on how to do her job if she chooses to work in customer service field. My daughter has encouraged me to shop elsewhere since moving here 7 months ago, but in spite of some shortcomings of this store, I've continued to be a loyal Kroger brand customer since I was a child...that's decades ago. Today, my loyalty was put into question. After selecting "organic" vegetables under the "organic" sign like I have for months, something didn't look right with the celery I selected, and I asked an employee if the items were indeed "organic" but was informed they were not, but were located several feet away with limited selection was available. I wonder how long the misleading signage has been in place and how many customers have been affected. While preparing to check out, there was no one at the open register. I waited. Another customer entered the line and put her groceries on the conveyor belt and we waited. Finally, I asked for the attendant to be called and we waited. After waiting several minutes, I asked again, concerned my ice cream was melting...because no one wants to eat crystallized, refrozen ice cream. Finally, a woman began my checkout and shortly another woman came to take over saying something about having to hurry this up so she could "finish signs." She seemed bothered by the interruption. She said something about it being graduation weekend and they were short staffed. I replied that it wasn't her fault, but the fault of management for not anticipating and resolving this before hand. My Kroger card number was entered using my phone number (3 times) but the screen responses did not look familiar and I did not get any member discounts. When I noted this with the register attendant she said I'd have to go to customer service. I would have been happy to do so but my ice cream was already melting from the original waiting for an attendant...so I paid without any discounts. Additional note, several of my usual purchase "sale" prices, I noted, were the regular prices offered at Target or HEB. After a heavy sigh of disappointment, I resigned myself to not shop my larger grocery runs here any longer but will for last minute incidentals. Target or HEB didn't win me over, Kroger just lost me to them. Finally, the floor staff seem very nice and helpful and this critique is not meant to be a reflection of them. read more

I came in to get a couple of things, one of which was solo cups because my house is being renovated and we have no plates, cups, silverware, basically nothing. So when I got home with the 5 Items I did buy, I discovered that my cups were not in my bag. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. I had to drive back up there and I went to cashier and asked for the solo cups that I had paid for. She directed me to an isle, which at that point I informed her that her 2 MAN team had failed to put it in my bag. Her only response was "It wasn't my fault". No sorry, no nothing other than walking to customer service and grabbing my cups and handing them to me still not in a bag. ---THIS IS FOR THE PHARMACY-- It seems like these pharmacy techs hate their job and don't care much to help their clients. I'm sorry I'm bothering you, but it's kinda your job? I understand it can be stressful as (like me) some medications rule the clients life and their prescriptions are important. So I can imagine they frequently get yelled at. I always keep this in mind when I call or go in so I can be as patient and kind as possible. However I rarely ever receive that from them. The way they talk to me is so disrespectful. I think maybe their staff is experiencing "compassion fatigue" and it should be addressed by management. Honestly, why work in this field if you're constantly nasty to your clients? Moving all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy is exhausting and stressful but I will be doing this in the next month or so. Not another Kroger, a different pharmacy all together. My parents seem to have great experiences with Albertsons. I'm sorry these techs hate their job and their clients. Remember Kroger techs, we are people who are just trying to get the medications that inevitably rule our lives. I've been going to this store for years and it continues to go down hill. They don't have enough associates - there are never carts inside, the customer service desk is closed a majority of the time, and you'll definitely have to bag your own groceries after the 1 cashier checks you out. They put out bad produce - moldy, leaking juices produce - to sell like nothing is wrong with it. That's if they even get something in stock. They've been out of some cold case items for months. I am done with Kroger. Every time I go here I leave frustrated and angry. Their regular prices are higher than other stores. They run items on sale but try not to let you get the sale price. The website is very difficult to navigate. They will charge you the full price so you have to watch very carefully or at least check your receipt before leaving. I was overcharged by $37 this week. It is a long process to get a refund for their mistake. No sale price is worth this much frustration! read more

It's so disappointing because they have great gas prices. The fruit isnt always fresh. You have to take a gamble here with produce. And if it's on sale dont take it. Actually dont even touch it. There is saying 1 bad apple can ruin s barrell. So why would you take bad produce and mix it with produce that is about to go bad and then put them on sale together? What happened to the sense of pride of everything you sell? Apparently this Kroger just doesnt get it. The hardest part is finding help in the produce section. You have a better shot at finding someone making floral arrangements before you see anybody coming to help you in produce. Meats are just ok and so is the bakery. Nothing great. Love this location normally but the pharmacy is trash!!! I stood in line for 20 minutes with one person in front of me & 3 behind me. I like this kroger for many reasons : they have the small carts for kids they have stock for things on sale, it's clean, produce is fresh , love the meat section and young employees are courteous and helpful. Thumbs up to Danier I believe is his name by the self check out counter who is such a delight in his manners. He never misses to greet you and help you over and above my expectations. With that kind of people I would drive out to that location , it just makes your shopping experience better. They do have a Starbucks inside but was disappointed when I ordered 4 green tea frap... it tasted like green crushed ice. Not the usual mix that I get. read more

Even though this store has recently opened they have all of their young staff trained very well. Lots of greetings and checks to ensure I was able to find everything I needed from those rounding in the isles to the cart crew. The shelves are stocked and because it's a signature location you have lots of products to choose from. The store is kept very clean and they keep ample lanes open for checking out. Their wine and beer selection is extensive and very convenient if you need a bottle for dinner. Their selection of Nolan Ryan beef cuts and sea food was plentiful. August 1, 2019 Kroger at 5241 N Tarrant Pkwy stood on "corporate policy" instead of doing what was right today causing me to lose $69.95 of money they owed me. On 07-06-19 I was handed a receipt for $114.06. I asked why the charges were so high. Reason being, the cashier did not ask for or scan my Kroger Plus card. Ironically, my receipt stated: "Join Kroger Plus & begin saving today. You could have saved $69.95." I told the cashier I DO have a Plus Card and I asked for a refund. He said he could not but customer service will. I said I cannot do that right away as I was rushing home to cook for people about to arrive. He or the sacker said no problem. Bring the receipt back when you can. Since there was no rush, I returned when it was convenient. I returned with my receipt a week ago and customer service was closed. I returned again today. Customer Service said they would have the manager speak with me. I saw her speak with Brandon and he walked over to me as manager, though he was not wearing a manager's badge. Brandon stated he could not refund the $69.95 due to corporate's 7 day refund policy. But he offered me a $20 gift card. And he said Kroger's refund policy is on line. I debated with him that: 1) I was told to return when I could, by Brandon's employee 2) I was NOT told of the 7 day refund policy, by his employee 3) I was not told of the refund policy being on line, by his employee 4) The refund policy was not on my receipt and I did not see it posted 5) I have experienced consistent inconsistencies in communication, or lack thereof Brandon gave me the phone number to their CS Department at corporate to "see if I could get a better result". The man that answered the phone, checked with a supervisor and eventually told me he could offer me a $30 gift card, which I declined because I believe I am owed the full $69.95. He kept putting me on hold and telling me he was speaking with different supervisors. Brandon was also speaking with corporate from a landline at the CS desk. I stood at the other end of the CS desk while I was on my cell phone for an HOUR; mostly on hold. The end result was, the man at corporate said the store itself is the decision maker and the manager would "take care of me". He tried to rush me off the phone. I asked him how much money the manager was going to offer me. He put me on hold again......I eventually hung up and relayed this to Brandon presuming I was about to receive my $69.95 refund. But Brandon stuck with, no refund. Brandon offered me a $20 gift certificate again, which I again declined. I also made him aware corporate offered me $30, which surprised Brandon. In my opinion, corporate and the store have a communication problem which has left me feeling that I was treated unfairly by Kroger, altogether. Why am I writing this long and detailed letter? 1) Because Kroger does not care about me, their customer. 2) Joining their loyalty club means, nothing. 3) Immovable Corporate policy, inflexible. 4) Attempted gift certificate pacification, insulting. 5) Kroger's blatant refusal to honor what their employee promised me, and refusal to honor me as a Plus member, just rude! 6) I believe Brandon was doing the best he could considering he works for the corporate office. And the employee who checked me out was working very fast and efficiently. Both pleasant people. No one is to be blamed, but a correction of a refund would still be most appreciated. This is not rocket science, but is heart science. Solution should have been simple, without upset. To Pacify is to admit guilt, without responsibility. Pacifying anyone, well, just shouldn't be done. read more

It's like this. Kroger is a Kroger is a Kroger. What makes the locations stand out from one another is stock (wine/beer selection, meat counter, hard-to-find items, etc.) and service. This Kroger location has a bit of both- and I'm chalking up some of the service issues to the location's newness. Having just opened a few months ago, management still has a few kinks to iron out. For instance, managing the cashiers on a weekend rush. There's nothing more frustrating than fighting a crown down narrow grocery aisles to get to the front for checkout and see that there are only 4 lanes open, with shopper waiting lines 4-5 deep. Wha?? Wine/beer selection is decent (Alliance Town Center spot is better) - we always find great labels for great prices! This spot has miniature shopping carts for the kiddos to tag along and "help" with the shopping. It works. My five year old begs to come with me now so she can push her cart around and help with the process. I'm not an advanced shopper where I clip coupons, engage the store's app, etc. but I do like to look for deals. I feel like Kroger does a decent job promoting their deals on products its consumers would actually shop for. Oh yah, I love the brand new shopping carts in a freshly opened store- no squeaking or bumpy/noisy carts (you know what I'm talking about). There's a Sbux inside (where AREN'T they these days??), and there's a Redbox out front. Also, a gas station on-site where you can use your Kroger points to save on your petro. This location has a nice meat counter to get fresh seafood, steaks, and chicken. I always prefer this option over browsing the frozen section. When exiting the store's property onto Ray White Rd. there's super steep drop to the main road that you need to take easy, otherwise you'll have groceries spilled all over the trunk of your car! DOn't laugh. You've been warned. read more

This new Kroger is close to my house and i love to not have to go to the little Walmart anymore. As it is new it is very clean and has full shelfs. Only negative is the parking lot...it is not all even...so i have seen it twice now that shopping carts are rolling around...even saw one hit a car...so keep that in mind when you park your car. read more

When you use the shop online app, they don't fill your order. They'll email to tell you it's in process and give you a pick up time, then they won't answer the phone at pick up. They won't done your order and you'll find that they sent everyone home. The store management will be the rudest, uncaring person you ever met. They will try to tell you they are out of items but you'll go into the store and find them all. They don't call you until a day after your order was ready to tell you they are running late. read more

Seems like Kroger is trying to make its way to every corner. There is one off N Beach, Heritage Trace, Davis, Rufe Snow, 1709, and now this. I was surprised to see they would build another in the area. This location, however, stands out - so far, so great. It's a normal grocery store size, clean, wide variety and selection of typical items as well as health-conscious items, bulk foods, and coffee. (I really like the special Fort Worth blend coffee!) They have a sushi kiosk, Starbucks, a seating area near deli, gas station, and -for the kids -they have the 'car' shopping carts. Best of all, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. For the love of grocery shopping, I have found my local spot! The produce is fresh with a wide variety. My family loves Boar's Head, and they carry a huge selection, from lunch meat, cheeses, to hummus. There can be a wait at the deli, however, I think they were training new employees, so I can't be overly critical. The cashiers are friendly, and I have never had to wait in a terrible line. It does get busy and the isles can get packed, but I think that is a fair critique of any grocery store. This is a gorgeous store and very clean! read more

Absolutely impressed by this Kroger all around. My girlfriend and I are health freaks and calculate our macros, so we heavily enjoyed their wide selection of macro friendly foods and snacks! My review is in regards to the FLORIST dept. I ordered a wrist corsage for my son's prom date a week in advance. 5 small yellow roses on black ribbon. Got a call the day before prom that they had no yellow roses and would I prefer white. After asking for the store manager they miraculously found yellow. They said they were large and would I be happy with 3, I said that was fine. Picked it up the morning of prom and it looked fine. That night, the 1st rose fell off before pictures, the 2nd before getting in their ride. Ended up throwing it away before even getting to prom. They offered me $5 back on a $40 item. Do not order through click list at this location!! I pulled up and called saying I was there for my groceries and I was the only car there mind you. It took over 30 minutes for them to get my groceries to me. I chose click list because I have a 4 month old. By this tome she was screening and not happy which made everything worse. She drops off my groceries and says that there was a problem with the meat I ordered and then went back inside. Didn't send anyone else to talk to me and no receipt. I go knock on the door and ask what is taking so long and they said it would take another minute to adjust the price and print a receipt so I waited 10 more minutes. At this point I was furious. Nobody had come to talk to me I had to go ask them what was going on. It should not take 40 minutes to get a clicklist order. That's the whole point. I left without my receipt because I had to get my baby home. I got home without a receipt and they didn't even give me the meat I ordered!! I called them and they said they would waive the 4.95 fee for the problems. Are you kidding?! No. I'll go somewhere else that knows how to treat its customers. read more
