This Kroger sits near the busy intersection of Old Fort Parkway and Cason Lane just a few blocks off of 24 and for the most part is your standard Kroger location. I was in the area for another retail store and decided to swing by to scoop up a few things for dinner. I am a Kroger faithful, so I was happy to swing by, but will say getting in and out of this location, no matter where you enter/exit is stressful! The store is large and features all the specialty counters including cheese, sushi, seafood, meats, pharmacy and bakery...and even features a good sized Starbucks. The store was well kept conditionally and equally as clean. While things appeared to be in decent shape, majority of the store from inside to out was still showing its age. They have updated a few areas including produce, frozen and Starbucks, along with updating all the signage, but the core part of the store and the facade still need some love. Service was okay. I encountered two associates during my trip in, neither were what I would call friendly, but they were not rude either. Shelves were stocked, prices were solid, and selection was good. All the things, plus a Starbucks, that I like about Kroger...oh,and the fact that they had a good amount of the small double decker carts was a plus too! This location also features a fuel center, and you already know I had to use some of those gas points! Overall, solid Kroger location that I would not mind visiting again when in the area. read more

The customer is wrong at Kroger! I am mid 40's and obviously over 21. My ID is 100% valid. At the self check out machine, the check out clerk who was not very helpful to begin with finally made her way over to check my id after spending most of her time focused on things other than customers. With the charm of a reptile, she demands "it must be scanned". No, I do not want it scanned, I replied. It is a valid ID in good standing. I will show it to you, despite being 40 something, but it is valid. "No, it must be scanned". I have been in 1000 times before and no one ever scanned it. Her refusal was disrespectful, embarrassing, and a violation of privacy. I do not want my ID scanned for several reasons. 1. Because I do not like germs after the Covid debacle. 2. Because I do not want my data hacked and breached. Every day we see these big corporations get hacked and stored data gets stolen. I have had my ID stolen, it is no fun. It is a nightmare to repair it. I have a right to privacy. I do not want another instance with my emails and SS number all over the dark net. I do not want 10 scam texts a day telling me my package needs to be paid for or my subscription is about to be terminated if I do not pay. ENOUGH. No more 1984 corporations! The customer is right, or you can lose my business! Kroger is price gouging customers as it is. But then, this takes the cake. The young woman's manager finally appears in front of me with a scowl on his face. He looks at me and says "is there a problem". For starters, as a manager, you failed at de-escalating the situation. But then, he proceeds to tell a BOLD FACED LIE. Dishonesty is usually a pretty good indicator of character. Lying to customers because you wish to impose a 1984 Nazi mandate is wrong! He clearly stated "It is state law to scan IDs for alcohol purchases in Tennessee". This is A LIE. I checked state law from 3 different sources, this is NOT LAW. Kroger can find a better representative than this. If you are going to impose Nazi tactics when you have control of 1/6th of the state's food supply, at least be honest about it and say it is your store's policy. Do not lie to my face like I am stupid. Kroger lost my business from this incident. I spend about 300 plus dollars a week on food. I hope to live another 20 - 40 years. Do the math Kroger. Finally, I do regret losing my temper for a brief second and raising my voice, I apologize for that. It had been a rough day and I did not wish to deal with this issue at that time. A smile and some courtesy from both rude employees would have helped me have some patience with them. Regardless, I have a right to privacy. I understand Kroger is a private company, but the 4th amendment should be respected by their company regardless. Post your policies in writing where customers can see them before wasting their time and money! In times like these we must stand against tyranny. The Canadian truckers had their bank accounts frozen for protesting. Paypal fined customers for their political statements online. If Kroger wants to follow in these authoritarian footsteps, then we as consumers must mark them and take note. read more

While I prefer Publix as a whole, I've been shopping at this Kroger for some time now. It is easy to access whether I am coming or going, houses a Starbucks, has a fueling station on site, a pharmacy, and now offers a shopping service called "Clicklist". I like this particular Kroger: the layout is good, the store is most always clean, and for a long time I saw the same faces week in and week out. Some of the same staff are still there, I've just noticed more of a turnover of late...which has made checkout and bagging a little more of a struggle. Speaking of bagging, this store does offer paper bags - which I prefer. You just have to ask for them or plastic is assumed. Kroger offers great coupons and sales; one of the two reasons why I shop here instead of my preferred Publix. There are only a few items I have noted I can acquire for a better price at places like Target, unless I have a great coupon. The other reason I primarily shop here is the fuel. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your shopper's card, you earn points towards money off of your fuel purchases. To boot, this Kroger has great fuel prices from the get-go. So to add an additional discount can really add up -- especially when fuel prices are high! (At the time of this review, nationwide fuel prices are way down from what they were just a few months ago.) Last year I noticed Kroger was also making an effort to sell produce from local farms, even listing where the produce came from complete with a photo of the farm and/or the family. Two thumbs up for this effort! While accessing this location may require some patience due to traffic, it's easier to get in and out of than one may initially think. read more

Hi folks, ladies & gentlemen of our beautiful Murfreesboro city. This Kroger review will open your eyes as to why our world is full of hate & destruction. This past Friday, I experience the most disturbing & belittling experience with a Kroger Shift leader. It was so disturbing that I am writing on here to warn you about people like him &, ultimately, whom & where to stay away from. I went into my local kroger store on 2449 Old Fort Parkway with my father in law & nephew to purchase a few items around 9:30pm, Nov 24th. I greeted 2 employees by the self checkouts and politely asked them to point me in the right for "car remote batteries." 1 of the 2 Kroger employees was the Shift Lead called Chris. I picked up my items, walked to the self check out stations, scanned my items, bagged them, swiped my CC, punched in my 4-digit code, grabbed my receipt and left the store. I got in my car where I my wife and mother in law were waiting. There, we all waiting for my father-in-law and my nephew whom were still inside the Kroger store checking out their items. What followed was the worst kind of treatment a human being should ever feel inside of a Customer Service oriented Supermarket. My Father-in-law and nephew came to my car, shaking and could barely utter their words saying "there is this employee screaming at them and accusing them of Theft and Trespassing," saying that I left the store "without paying." Mind you that my nephew is a minor and by law, one is not allowed to scream profanity and disrespect a minor. I, immediately, got out of my car to go in and address the situation and see what's going on. As I walked inside, Chris (shift lead) who's name I later on found out, screamed from the top of his lungs "you f*cking stole from us and I will have you charged for theft and trespassing." I followed "excuse me? First of all, I need to to calm down and speak to me with respect." Chris responded "you fucking stole from us and I am going to call the cops." I said "please do." As he walked to the to other side of counter where they have the cigarettes to call the police, the second employee, front line employee whom I can't remember the name, was nice enough to look at my receipt and realize that the payment had not gone through. (Essentially a CC declined which could have been politely & professionally addressed). I asked my wife to process the $10 payment and immediately turned my attention to the aggressive, disrespectful bully team lead who was calling the police. I needed, at that point, to find out information about his boss so that I can put in a complaint for his behavior towards me, my father-in-law, my under age nephew and for also carrying himself this way in front of an entire store where there were other customers paying and shopping inside the store. His behavior was condescending, belittling, verbally and physically abusive towards me and my family. When I asked Chris for his boss, he replied "I am the boss." I said," there is no way you are a manager, who is your manager." Chris aggressively removed his name badge, slammed on on the counter & gave me the aggressive "boxer stance" starring directly in my eyes as if he wanted to physically fight me. I asked him "what does this mean?" & he continued to show physical aggression. I asked my nephew to put his camera on from that point so that we can film the whole interaction. I, then, picked up my phone and called the police as well as I feared for my well being & that of my family when I noticed that Chris was getting physical. The night shift Assistant Manager showed up. I guess he was in the back of the store & finally made it to the front at that point. His name is Patrick. He is a really nice gentleman. You can tell that he's been in management for a while and knows how to communicate & assess escalations & negative situations. He, then, heard my side but "pleaded the 5th" since he wasn't there to see what happened. Now, I am awaiting corporate response. Ultimately, Chris is a reflection of the leadership in the store as well as Kroger itself. People like this shouldn't be working in a store that prides itself in Customer Service. This is SORT OF an update to my previous review. My previous review was about my experiences with Click List though, and this one isn't, but I really didn't know how to do an entirely separate review. Overall though, my opinion about this Kroger has gone downhill, which is super unfortunate, because this particular Kroger used to be my absolute favorite. I have another Kroger much closer to where I live, and I guess I'm going to start going to that one or maybe to another grocery store entirely because this Kroger is getting really bad. My biggest complaint is that they aren't doing good sweeps of the store anymore to remove items that are past their "best by". Yes, I know that food is still good past this date, but I have some amount of visual impairment, and while I usually remember to bring my glasses into the store, if I forget them in the car I can't always see the dates on the items. On a previous trip I ended up buying expired pudding. Like expired by a month. It was the kind that has to be refrigerated, which made me nervous enough that I ended up returning it when I made my next shopping trip. They took it back easily enough, because I had the dated receipt that showed it was purchased after the expiration date printed on the pudding. However, this last time (shopping trip in the middle of July), I ended up buying a package of dried pineapple that had a best by date of MARCH! Obviously, I should have checked it before buying, and unfortunately, I had opened the package at home before noticing the date. I looked it over, because I did happen to see the date before I ate any of it. It is dried fruit, so it's likely ok even a few months later, but it's the kind that the deli packages, not the kind that is sealed up in a bag in a factory that a company then sends to the store. It's a little stale, but not moldy or anything. A little irritating, since dried fruit is expensive, but it isn't going to kill me....it just won't be fresh, but I'll eat it. However, this is a troubling trend. Kroger used to be really on top of making sure that they had fresh, good food out for sale. I hope they can get this fixed soon. Perhaps they are just having a lot of staff turnover. I tend to favor Kroger over other stores, so I hope to be able to return to this one at some point, but for now I'll likely try other locations. read more

All of the baggers and stockers are very polite and helpful if you're looking for something specific :) this is the grocery store i choose every weekend to get my shopping done and am normally in and out. The clicklist has been amazing, also. It was busy for super bowl Sunday but i was able to navigate through the store, which was clean and stocked, relatively quickly. read more

Terrible terrible terrible pharmacy!!! Doctor called prescription in at Kroger on Old Fort before we left his office...daughter has double ear infection. Get to Kroger pharmacy, wait in line 10 minutes. Had trouble with attendant not inputting the correct information. She then tells me it'll be 20-30 minutes. Little over 30 minutes later, she calls me to the counter and tells me they dont have enough medicine for my daughter!!!! While we are in the waiting area for over 30 minutes, my daughter has been laying in my lap sobbing because her ears hurt. The doctor had called the prescription in over an hour by this time for them to realize and tell me they didn't have enough!!! I went to Walgreens and was in and out within 5 minutes because they actually cared a hurting child was waiting on their medicine!! Shame on you Kroger!!! I've shopped at this Kroger for years and used their ClickList service prior to the pandemic. Today's pickup took over an hour! I called to check on my order, the associate stated receipts are hung in order of when customers call. I checked in on the app, SO my receipt was hung after everyone else's. The only reason I've given 2 stars instead of one lonely star is because I really love Kroger. I don't like to shop anywhere else. With that being said, this is the worst Kroger I've ever been to. They're always out of at least 15% of the items on my list when I visit. Once, I went in and not a single leaf of lettuce was to be found. Not spinach, not iceberg, not a head of lettuce, not a stalk of romaine, not anything in a bag. Nothing. Forget about the bacon. Just forget about it! They're always out of it (other than the cheap stuff). If they don't have meat in stock, the butcher/meat dept guys are sometimes able to assist and pull something out of the back. Standing in line for the deli department will give you enough time to update your grocery list, make a new friend in line, change your Facebook status, and ponder the meaning of life.. all while stretching your legs. It's not uncommon to stand in line for 15 minutes or more before you're able to order your favorite turkey. The aisles are narrow and the store has an odd layout. I live a few blocks from this store but would rather fight traffic on a Sunday afternoon when the service at World Outreach is letting out, just to cross New Salem and go over to the Kroger on Church Street. read more

Easy to get in and out of plus they keep the store well stocked. There is a good variety of products as well. If you like good fried chicken, try some from the deli. They really knock it out of the park on the chicken. Checkers are pretty quick, but I usually hit the self checkout since they have two pods of four so there is rarely a line. read more

In regards to the Click List/Pickup option service: This store has a great employee that seems to be struggling to keep up. Shout out to him, but this post below is what I wrote to Kroger in an online survey I took. "The level of service has gone down. the employees at ClickList need help. it looks like one person is doing all the work. I waited 30 minutes because many items were not in stock. The substitutions did not match up well and some things were missing altogether. it takes time for the employee to go through this and make corrections, which puts the whole process behind. this process is supposed to serve a customer with an easy, convenient way to come by and have groceries loaded into their vehicle. instead, it has become time consuming and arduous because the employees have to deal with out of stock issues. the employee was nice and professional, but the employee needs to be trained in how to load groceries into vehicles. all the heavy and breakable items were loaded in last, which means they are susceptible to falling out and/or being damaged when the hatch is opened. proper packing of groceries is important so things do not get damaged. we have soda cans that are disfigured and hard to open because they were banged around. I ordered groceries from the Old Fort Parkway Kroger store. I received half of the groceries I ordered, but was billed for all that I ordered and was charged for the delivery. Upon speaking with the customer service department at Kroger's, I was told first that I should contact their delivery outfit and notify them of the problem, as Kroger "has nothing to do with that". The pharmacy staff are less than friendly, hostile even. When coming in to pick up a prescription tonight, I had my phone in hand while approaching the counter. I began to ask for help with picking up but the first woman to notice me told me to finish with my phone before she would help me. I then informed her I was fine and was given attitude when I told her I was here to pick up. She turned around and asked her fellow coworker if she was "allowed" to help me. Her coworker gave a shrug and then the woman turned back around, glared at me, and proceed to ask me the usual pick up questions such as last name, DOB, etc. When finishing the checkout, the woman wouldn't make eye contact, she did not smile or even give a response when I told her thank you. Nothing but rude inhospitable children working there. They need to hire adults with manners. read more

Poorly managed. The male baggers and checkers are always talking badly about other workers or customers. This Kroger location is always out of stock on some of the most basic items. It's like they only stock the shelves once per day and after hours so by the time I can go after work everything is already sold out. Especially for fruits and meats. This is the closest grocery store to my houuse and less expensive than the closest competitors which is why it's my store of choice. But I'm not sure the convenience is worth settling for limited options and poor service. read more

I was recently scolded by my wife for buying chicken from a store other than Kroger. It's funny then, that just a week later my wife would buy six chicken breasts from Kroger and that they would turn out to be rancid. Worse yet, when I returned the chicken to the store, I was greeted first by an employee who clearly looked at me while I was waiting in line, slowly ate a piece of candy, and then walked away. When another employee called me forward, she acted as if I was responsible for the rotting meat on her counter (Double bagged in butchers paper) and treated me coldly. She first offered me half my money back and it wasn't until I dug through the bag and found the other tag (I dug; she wouldn't). She returned my money without so much as an apology. My question is this; Why should I shop at this store with the knowledge the meat may be rotten and, if it is, the expense of time, energy, and gas to return it will be on me and not the purveyors of spoiled meat? Why should I shop somewhere where I'll be treated like the antagonist if I return rotten meat. Why should I be loyal to a store that has no loyalty to me? I think it only fair to point out that the fowl foul was purchased at the Church St. Kroger, but returned to the Old Ft. Parkway Kroger, making both locations culpable. read more

By far the worst managed Kroger's in Murfreesboro! Never enough lanes open and there will be employees just standing around (along with people in charge) and they do nothing to make situation better. They won't open a checkout lane in the mornings even on the weekends. Self checkout doesn't work when you're purchasing a week's worth of groceries. Also, their Starbucks baristas don't make the drinks accurately. Any Frappuccino you order their is going to be so full of ice that you can't drink it. read more

I always see my Facebook friends talking about how great Kroger but since we don't have any in Maryland I was kinda excited to check this one out while visiting my son in TN. The store is really large and laid out very nicely and I love that they have a Starbucks cafe inside. Hubby and I were just there for coffee and some snacks for our hotel room but once we started looking around we couldn't stop. They had samples of the most delicious pickles I had ever tried - McClure's was the name and right by the pickles they had samples of Sharp Cheddar from New Zealand, needless to say, after sampling and walking on to check out other things we ended up circling back and buying 1 of each (we polished both off by the time we left TN 3 days later and now I'm going nuts trying to find those pickles in the Baltimore area). On 2 of the days we stopped by they had some sort of Rib Fest going on out front with employees manning grills that smelled heavenly, talk about great marketing. If anyone from Kroger is reading this I plead with you, please bring your stores to Baltimore. read more

my family will never return to this store. they do not plan or have the ability to organize changes with the customer in mind. restocking is always done while blocking aisles on both sides, carts and pallets scattered all over the place. relocation of products constantly going on in several asides at one time. etc. , etc I have shipped at this store ever since day one. I came in to get a propane tank and was in and out in two minutes. I came home and hooked the tank several different times and noticed the tank was leaking. I immediately took it back and the guy gave me a new one immediately with no issues and no hesitation. The people here are so awesome and the prices are always good also. We love this place and this place is our every day grocery store. read more

The staff acts put upon if you ask questions, and if there is someone that doesn't know what he/she is doing at the gas station, you have to take the receipt inside the store to Customer Service to get reimbursed, and the people at Customer Service are unapologetic and rude. read more

Super fast check-out, always well stocked, and you can find pretty much anything you can think of. My only complaint is the lack of semi to fully ripe bananas, but that's a toss-up at any grocery store. Kudos, Kroger! :) Oh, and the double gas points in the summer?
