They even offer cauliflower rice, frozen yogurt pops, mineral water, Guava 100% juice, frozen dog Fresh Pet food for sensitive stomach, and plenty of digital deals. I do miss coupon double days. Blood oranges, 18 count Kroger eggs, Kroger cheerios, Kroger 1 pound mild cheddar, Kroger whole milk, Kroger 10 oz, Simple Truth 5 oz buy two for $6 are currently on sale. I also miss the real cashiers instead of self checkout. 10 items or even 15 is good for self checkout. We bought 42 items and there is also others with just as many items if not more. We saw at least 5 baskets full and they abandoned because they didn't want the hassle of going through self checkout. It is easy to find all your items without walking a marathon. Funny story- The map showed me that Kroger was close by, I should be seeing it, but I did not and kept circling around , finally stopped at Walgreens and decided to ask them if Kroger was shut down, it was then I noticed the painting guy- This Kroger just got an uplift with fresh coat of primer, rest of it was to follow.... With huge trucks parked right in front of it, the shop was almost completely hidden ! .... Store is well maintained with friendly staff. A lot of flowers and celebratory 'Happy Woman's Day' is the first thing I saw when I walked in. They had some good deals on avocado and blackberries, got them both. I have been shopping at this Kroger location for over 20 years and I will not be returning. I have used their money sending service for many years and today was the first time they ever asked me for an ID. I provided my passport since my drivers license is expired and they refused to service me bc of it. Online, it states valid government identification is needed to purchase western union. They refused to take my passport as ID. The lady who did nothing for me just looked like a miserable soul. As if she hated her job. I will not be shopping here anymore let alone use their in store services. read more

As in any business, people make the difference. I can buy groceries anywhere, but to me the customer experience keeps me coming to this Kroger location. Every employee seems to really appreciate my being there. Even the produce worker always asks how I am and if there is anything I need to just let him know. When you can't find an item, the staff doesn't just look it up on their phone and tell, they stop whatever they are doing and walk you there to locate the item and hand it to you. I have a friend that moved from here 14 years ago but used to shop this location. When he visits and we run into this Kroger location, most of the employees remember him and call him by name and ask how he is doing. Only a couple have called me by name from memory so far, but as I continue to go, I feel I will be a part of their Kroger family. P.S. This clutter riddled store discriminates against non drivers. I tried to purchase alcohol and gave them a valid ID, but they embarrassed me in line and refused me. They would not take a valid ID, you have to be a driver of an automobile. I'm 54, and they rejected me, what a slap in the face. I'll never go back. Go to the Kroger in Friendswood, it's so much better in everything. They actually have non robots workers in the checkout lanes. This place has 1 or 2 at best. Forced self check out. read more

This Kroger has a great selection of food of all types, is very clean and it's easy to maneuver the aisles. The produce section is expansive and fresh, and the cat food aisle is full of choices. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is they do not carry Fresh Pet refrigerated dog food, and I have to go to HEB for that which is inconvenient and I usually end up shopping there to the dismay of my cat who prefers the wider variety Kroger offers! read more

CALLING OUT KROGERS (3245 FM 518) Manager JESUS! A white customer comes in to a black cashier trying to pay with a check and no ID. The cashier consults with a fellow cashier on the policy which is no purchase without a check and ID. The white customer tells the black cashier, "I have seen it done a thousand times before. I have 3 Krogers in Pearland that I can go to. I have my usual one that's right by my house and I know where everything is. I have the one on the West side of Pearland which trumps almost all Krogers out there for the sheer size and variety of products. Then I have this Kroger, which is located on the East side of Pearland. Super old school, in an old shopping center. Tiny compared to most other grocery stores in the area. At the same time, I like coming here. I get what I need without walking for miles. Customer service is awesome. There's always someone asking if I need help if I look lost. I hear they will be closing this one soon while they build a modern, bigger one right down the street! read more

Pros about this Kroger: Super sweet employees, pharmacy staff, and self check out staff. They get 5+ stars. Cons, and this is probably a corporate decision that is not cool. They stopped allowing digital coupons to be used on things like their promotions like '$5 off 5 or more items' or '$10 off $40 baby items'. This is something new because I looked at past receipts and see where Kroger digital coupons and the promo discounts were both taken off. Not cool Another con, send this Kroger more organic milk. I love Kroger because of the longtime pharmacy staff I know , and it's less walking than in HEB or Walmart to get the few things I need. What I don't like about Kroger is the stupid app doesn't work in the store or at home, so I have to go online with my laptop to plan my grocery shopping trip to upload my digital coupons. Why not just give everybody a break and stop with the coupons. It's all a game and I'm tired of reading all the fine prints and catching all the "in one transaction", 32oz. or larger", you have to buy 5 or more. This location is by far my favorite Kroger to visit. Almost all times, I am greeted by the friendly staff when I enter into their area and offered help. The store is clean and well stocked, as I always find what I need. The store layout is a bit different than the one closer to my house, so I usually end up taking more time navigating the aisles (and buying more things I didn't know I needed!). The sushi kiosk and deli counter have been my saving grace for days when I forget to bring a lunch to work and don't want fast food. The only thing to make this Kroger even better is if it had the gas station, but I know that's not something they can change. read more

I want to commend Kroger for continuing to offer great deals and products. In the past month, I have saved over $100.00 using coupons and buying sale items. The meat that is in the reduced section is always still top quality. I receive coupons in the mail which sometimes include free food. I also appreciate their support of many worthy causes in my community. I used to shop at another large grocery chain, but they don't compare to the savings that I receive at Kroger. This Kroger is sufficient but closes soooo early. Like 10pm. This really sucked when I ran out of alkaline water after coming from the gym. I guess I'll just continue to go to the location near Pearland Parkway, which stays open until midnight and is near my house. read more

I always grocery shop at the Pearland Kroger. This location has less traffic in peak hours. The manager and cashiers are always helpful. If there is a lane open, they quickly direct the customers to one. They're so efficient with checking out customers. The baggers seem to be mostly special needs and I think this is really cool of Kroger. No discrimination and they always do a great job. Simple as it may sound, my bread is never crushed. Groceries are stacked and bagged correctly. If you cannot find something, they always know which aisle it is located. They even offer help to your car if needed or requested. If you ever get help to your car, be sure to tip the bagger/helper. It's not required but always a good gesture. I love the Kroger app and always use the fuel rewards for a discount on gas. Try it if you haven't. Tip: look at your receipt to see if it has a survey for fuel points!!! The link is on the app as well so you don't have to fidget for the website on your phone. read more

This Kroger has really gone down! It looks dirty, frozen food such as vegetables are freezer burned. They do not keep the shelves stocked, or they stop carrying items. Don't know what's going on with this Kroger's but they never have a fully stocked store. I come at least once a week with a list of items and I only find 1/2. Doesn't matter the day or what time I shop, this store never has anything. I come here because it's not as crowded as HEB but ironically I just end up at HEB to get what I need. Smh. read more

We are always on the lookout for foods my wife can eat and digest with her stomach problems. Birds Eye has come out with frozen mashed cauliflower in plain and different flavors. It is a 12oz package. She likes this and it seems to work with her system. Well, our rather limited HEB does not carry any of the new flavored frozen vegetables, but our old 518 Kroger does. So, I have been buying these at Kroger without looking at the price. Yesterday, I bought 3 of these plus a few other things. I thought the total cost seemed a little on the high side, but that seems common today in the grocery stores. When I got home, we looked at the ticket and noticed these 12oz packages cost $4.69 each. Wow!!! So, I went online to Kroger and looked up the price to see if this is for real and it was at all Kroger's I checked. I checked Walmart's price online for the same product and it is $2.97. It makes me wonder what else Kroger is ripping us off for. I love the convenience of the Kroger, but ???? read more
