I have shopped here since the store opened. Initially, the store was clean and well stocked. About 2-3 months ago, the store remodeled. When I ask for help finding where a product is from an employee, they generally just tell me they don't know but I might try aisle X. They are never right, but they are also not concerned too much about helping me. Today, I stood for 5 minutes at the deli counter watching an deli employee make 4 sandwiches and never even acknowledge my existence. When I finally asked if I could get some help, a different employee said, "We are all busy." I left and went to Publix where someone happily waited on me. I won't be back to this Kroger. After 2 years, I thought I would give this store another chance. This time, though, I stood at the fish counter in the meat department while two employees ignorned. I smiled that each of them, but while they saw me, they looked right past me. I waited for about 3-4 minutes for any acknowledgement that I was there, but got nothing. I left my half-full shopping court and shopped at Publix where I am always treated like a customer should be treated. read more

This is a very good and clean store that has just about everything anyone would want. The meats are pretty good and they have vegetables galore. The pharmacy is very convenient and the service is friendly. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a good selection of everything. read more

This is one of my favorite Krogers. I'm a Publix guy, but this Kroger impressed me. Most of the Krogers I've been to seemed ghetto. They didn't look clean and just looked grungy. This Kroger looks like a Publix inside. They have a ton of selections and have a great organic section. You can find a good deal of gluten free and organic products here. Also, they have a gas station here. Overall, it's a nice, big grocery store that gives some nice competition to Publix. read more

Biggest. Damn. Kroger. Ever. This place should be a tourist spot, like the Big Chicken. Quite literally, it's the biggest Kroger in the state and it's out of control. I've never been a lover of Kroger, it's just never seemed all that clean, which can be blamed on lighting and poor paint choices. I use to only frequent Kroger when it was 2 AM and I had a hankering for ice cream, it was the only thing open with a good selection to choose from. Kroger still isn't my #1 choice in grocery stores, I'm a Trader Joe's lady with occasional visits to Publix and Whole Foods, but this Kroger is super convenient to us and if I just need to pick up some bananas or that pint of ice cream I come here. Now, why is this enormous Kroger out of control, you ask? While most stores have that half-aisle section of spatulas and little baking dishes, this Kroger has 4 full aisles of that stuff. I mean, for real, they sell KitchenAid stand mixers and microwaves. Also, their baby section does not stop at diapers and formula. They have baby clothing and furniture. And while on the topic of furniture, need a leather recliner? Come here. My favorite thing about Kroger's, and this one especially, is the size of their organic section. I don't want to have to drive into Buckhead to hit up Whole Foods for one thing and Kroger usually supplies that one thing, which is nice. read more

"Club Kroger!" "Yoooo, there's a huge party happ'nin down at Club Kroger this weekend! It's gonna be jam-packed, make sure you get there early. Ladies, wear your heels and your sexiest outfit- fellas, no tennis shoes/jeans allowed! Parking is limited, so again, get there earrrllly!!!" I kid, I kid, of course. But seriously, every time I come to this damn Kroger, it's like going to a club, mall, or anywhere in downtown Atlanta because the parking lot is on full at all times. I don't even remember the old location ever being halfway as occupied as this one. But then again, that's like comparing a small studio apartment to a mansion. This location is just HUGE. Yes, they have a Starbucks. I've not bought anything from there just yet. They have a sushi station, which I think is cool, but I'm not a sushi fan. I do buy from their deli quite often and have been tempted to try a couple of their ready-made dishes. I usually stick to sliced deli meat/cheese, though. Very good. If you're buying Starbucks or anything from their ready-made menu, you'll have a place to sit down. Overall, I like this Kroger a lot. It's still pretty new, is huge/roomy, so no matter how many cars are outside, you'll have room to drive your cart like a bat outta hell inside- that's how big it is. The employees are... well, employees. There are a few really nice ones and a few who are just so-so. Then again, I'm not the friendliest person in the world, so we're good. NO LONGER 24/7 :( They close at 1am now. Also learned last night that they don't carry Kahlua or Bailey's - for the spiked brownies I was making - because they "don't carry anything with that high of an alcohol content". LOL I'm not a drinker, so I didn't know those were considered high? Thankfully there's a package store across the street, but of course being Sunday and Georgia has stupid liquor laws (another reason why Hawaii is freaking awesome - there isn't one!), it was closed. read more

This is actually the largest Kroger on this side of town, but they are ALWAYS out of everything. They need to do a much better job at keeping commonly used items in stock. The last few times I've gone, it's been a wasted trip and I've had to visit another store just to make our dinner. There were carts and wipes this time but the lines for check out resembled Black Friday lines. Barely any staff , self checkout screens and glass are filthy. I understand staff shortages and product availability but other stores have the same issue and aren't dirty like this and they can manage the lines of customers checking out. read more

This use to be our favorite Kroger until one day we visited this location seafood counter and ask for two Salmon Pinwheels. As we were unpacking our bags at home we notice it was a live fly inside the saran wrap where the salmon pinwheels were. We immediately took it back to Kroger for our money back. At the customer service counter one of the employees showed the manager. He looked at the fly inside then he looked at me. He never came over and apologized on the behalf of the store. A live fly was wrapped inside our food that speaks in volumes about how sanitary this location is. read more

Ah, a review that's NOT for a restaurant. I've wanted to do this for some time now!!! I simply LOVE this Kroger. From the cinnamon broom aroma as you enter the front door, to the fresh roasted coffee and floral colors of the season, this storeo screams, "ASK FOR IT! I'VE GOT IT!". Next, we're on to one of my favorite cases in the store, the hand-rolled sushi. To me, their crunchy spicy shrimp or crab rolls are as good or better than any restaurant I've visited. Right next to the sushi is another of my favorites, the self-service salads, where I find the wonderful BLT & Ranch, dill potato salad! Ooh my.... I'm starving just writing this review! This store has an excellent produce section and it seems this store, in particular, marks down their items quicker than most other Kroger's. If I'm eating something that day or freezing it, I have no problem buying reduced-priced items. I could continue listing each section and what I find special about it, but I think you understand why I truly love this store and wish EVERY Kroger would follow suit. To the manager there, thanks so much for making this such an epic store. At times, I go the extra few miles just to use that Kroger, instead of my own store. What's going on with my Kroger?!?!? Yesterday I went in and got Starbucks and used the restroom facilities. It was filthy. The monitor chart schedule on the back of the door was marked as if it's not being used. Upon leaving the restroom to go back to the seating area, there was trash all over the floors and trash overflowing and looked in total disarray. I commented to my husband in earshot of several employees,"I don't know what's worse, the bathrooms or the restaurant. Both are completely disgusting". The employees heard me and did not act or react. The lot attendants are fooling around with each other and checking their phones and shopping carts are stacking up in the lots. It's apparent that managers have changed over in the last few weeks and it shows. What a dramatic difference when shopping at the Publix down the street. I don't like Publix. I prefer Kroger, but lately, I have been disappointed. You need to whip your team and customer service into shape! read more

This store has improved drastically over the past few years! I used to refuse to shop at the store when it was first built because it was so filthy and was ran by such poor management. The store is now clean and full of kind and helpful employees. Happy to be able to shop here again and start accumulating the fuel points I've been missing out on! I love this Kroger. It's one of the nicest I've ever used and that was a pleasant surprise! I love the 24-hourness even though I've never been there during odd hours, but if I NEEDED to go there at 1:00 AM because I really NEEDED something that would almost certainly be nachos or donuts, I would feel pretty good about my safety and my ability to retrieve those nachos or donuts. Plus, obviously, we are devout Kroger card users and now that I drive a car that demands fancy premium gas, it eases my frugal soul to fill up for cheaper than I would pay for plain unleaded at the QT. It's clean, it has a weirdly large organic/specialty food area (get your non-glutinous goods and all the veggie chips your body can handle), and even though it is usually busy I've always gotten through the lines quickly. If they sold shoes and whiskey, I would move in. read more

I was a Publix girl before moving to Atlanta, and now I have to say that I am proud to be a Kroger girl. This Kroger is newer, and I'm impressed by the sprawling options throughout the store; including the extensive organic and local section. You can come around lunchtime and make yourself a huge salad from the salad bar, or you can stop by the Starbucks and grab a coffee before starting your shopping. I'm also tickled by the customer perks offered through the Kroger rewards card! Often we receive coupons for products that we actually use in the mail! Things like fresh produce and organic freezer foods that we love but never have coupons for! We also save a lot on gas with the fuel points that we get for shopping, and to top it off, a small percentage of each purchase can go toward a local charity (I send ours to Georgia Homeless Pets, of course). The cherry on top is that its open 24 hours, which accommodates my ridiculous work schedule. My one and only gripe is that I recently visited a Kroger in Buckhead that had whole Simple Truth Organic roasted chickens available for purchase in their warmer/roaster. Maybe I'm too slow to the game, but I'm jealous of those roasted chickens. Hopefully my Kroger offers them soon! read more

This is one of the largest Kroger's I've seen since moving to the Atlanta area. My biggest compliment is that there is a Starbucks inside. They have a large deli area, salad bar with greens and toppings, fresh made sushi, and a gourmet salad and olive section. The food can be purchased on the deli side and you can sit down to enjoy your meal. Admittedly, I'm a Publix girl where shopping really is a pleasure. However, this grocery store is much closer to my home. The bakery and deli meat staff gets a mixed review. At times they are friendly and accommodating and other times they are put off to serve you. The lack of customer service consistency at Kroger keeps me from being a loyal customer. The store is well stocked, organic selections are plentiful and are reasonably priced. The organic milk and eggs are cheaper by at least $1.25. The organic milk, cheese, yogurts, eggs, butter are located in a refrigerated section near the deli. The store is clean, buggies are well maintained, produce is fresh, and the self check out lanes are fully functional. Again, I would frequent this store more often if all the staff (including the cashiers) were friendlier. read more

One of my favorite grocery stores. There are others closer to my home by a few minutes, but I gladly drive a little further to shop at this location. The associates are there to help and point you to any item you may need and the sushi chef is glad to prepare a personal order while you shop. The occasional food sample or product demo is also nice. I have been a loyal Kroger customer for years now, and will likely remain so, but what I saw today really stuck in my craw. Andrew is a very nice, special needs young man who has been with Kroger for a while now. I have always in the past seen him as a very capable bag boy. Well today, they had him in the Express Lane, by himself with no bagger. While he is competent, he does operate very slowly, as he seems to still be getting used to the computer system. To make matters worse, aside from having no bagger to assist him, what bags he did have were laying in a pile on the bagging deck. He had no bag rack to make it easier and faster to bag the groceries for customers that he just rang out. Now, I went to bag my own groceries (as others were doing before me) and I had difficulty with separating and opening the plastic bags (and if you have ever been grocery shopping, you know what I am talking about.) I can't even imagine how difficult it might have been for him with his own challenges and the pressure of knowing that the line was stacking up. So, when I had completed my groceries, I went to another (closed) bagging deck, took their bagging rack, and proceeded to bag groceries for this young man's line for the next 30 minutes. At no time as I did this, did any other employee or even manager stop to wonder why a CUSTOMER was doing this. During a lull, I went to the Customer Service Desk, explained the situation to a seemingly uninterested associate, who nodded, picked up the phone (assumably to alert a manager), and then hung it up as soon as I walked away. I returned to assisting Andrew for another 10 minutes, with never a manager to intervene (There was in fact one operating a register just 3 isles down from us, and the young lady in the very next lane, as well as the gentleman running Self Check-out, turned a blind eye to my activities). I cannot imagine how this went unnoticed before my arrival, or un addressed after my arrival. The line was backing up just from the slowness of his check-out speed, nevermind if he had had to bag himself. Deliberate or not, this kid was put in a position to fail, and left there to drown. They got rid of the nasty Kroger down the street and opened this Kroger. So, this is still very new. It's also one of the biggest Kroger stores I've ever been to. There's a Starbucks inside, they have a whole housewares section and a full baby section as well. Ever since this Kroger opened, this place has been the happening place in Smyrna. Forget your local bars, Kroger is the place to be and to be seen! Ha! Shopping experience here is great. They have everything you could ever want and then some. I always shop this Kroger. I've never had any issues until yesterday. I purchased over $200 of things including 3 bags of chips, bread and juices. The girl bagging my things put 1/2 gallon of juice in the same bag with my bread, the chips were in the bottom of the shopping cart WITH A WHOLD WATERMELLON ON TOP OF EVERYTHING!!! I also purchased 2 six-pks of soft drinks and 1 of the soft drinks never made it to my cart or home!! I went back the following day to let the manager know, after waiting over 10 min and him being paged twice,,,,,all he had to say was "sorry ma"am" Very disappointed in my service. read more

This is my favorite grocery store, and I drive past a Publix and Sprouts to come here every time I shop. I think I am in the top 3 for check-ins. I believe it is the biggest Kroger in the Southeast, with a wide selection. It is always clean. It's also so large, it's not as bad during typical rush times. Example experience was this past Wednesday. I went with my three year old daughter. Everyone was incredibly friendly, making jokes, and being friendly with my daughter. 1. I couldn't find the salad mix my wife wanted and someone in produce proactively came over and asked what I was looking for, and then went to the back to find it. They tracked me down and gave it to me. 2. The deli person offered me a sample while slicing my turkey 3. The bakery person saw us walk by and gave my daughter a free cookie 4. Checkout was easy, and parking was close 5. You get fuel points for shopping you can use at the gas station outside for cheap gas, particularly if you get a Kroger credit card. Cons 1. So it was clean and they even had a fresh sushi bar, sweet lord this is an upscale Kroger compared to what else Ive found in Atlanta. I just couldnt get my head in gear here. I came out 50 USD poorer and couldnt put a meal together with the contents. I went to my regular Publix afterwards. Would I go back. No. Not a fan of this location. read more

Great new upscale store. Was impressed with the cheese selection. ...the organics. Not quite the prices or variety of the Super Walmart. ..but finding that cheese round was priceless. One of my basic decisions is based on whether they have California Olive Ranch olive oil. In my opinion all others are not worth any more than store brand. ..but I am an olive oil freak. Consistently the worst place to shop. It's dirty, things are not always in stock, and items are not brought forward on shelves, so I have to ask a tall stranger for help or climb on the bottom shelves. Employees block aisles while restocking and won't move. Lines are ridiculous. I keep swearing I will not go back, but after five months, I needed something I can only find there. It's just as bad as it was from day one. And it's not just me. Standing in line, all I heard was the same complaint from others. Never has been managed well. I am completely appalled at the lack of customer service of the company you use for delivery. I placed an order through Kroger that was to be delivered by 7:15. It not only was an hour late, but the shopper didn't even knock on the door, they just left it outside. My daughter just happened to see someone walk past the window or I wouldn't have known it was delivered at all. Not only that, but the but substitutions are completely ridiulous. I ordered a flavored coffee syrup, if that flavor was out of stock any flavor would've been fine but replacing it with a squeeze bottle of thick chocolate caramel sauce doesn't even make sense. The only other thing I ordered was a box of espresso k cups. There was no notification that was out of stock or being replaced, and the shopper replaced it not with maybe a dark roast box of k cups, but with a giant 32oz tub of ground espresso... If i ordered k cups, why would ground coffee be a good substitute? It increased my price and left me with two I don't use and now have to go return. Ijeoma O is the absolute sorriest shopper possible. But clearly I'll be encouraging people to use Shipt after this experience and to never order delivery through Kroger, because then you just have to waste your time and go to kroger anyway to return everything. read more

The stockers and house keeping staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I am giving two stars. I am just now leaving the store, the only lanes open were self checkout lanes. This is a huge inconvenience and frustration to people who have a cart full of groceries. The self checkout is only efficient for people who have a few items. There was a long line of customers trying to check out. Most of which were being held up by those of us who had cart fulls of groceries. Suggestion... keep at least one regular checkout lane open or post self checkout only hours. read more

To start, I really only come to Kroger if I'm broke. I'm a Publix girl through and through because their customer service is always top notch. That being said, sometimes money gets tight and you gotta go for value over experience. I went through my self checkout like I always do when I went to pay and the machine blocked me out, saying HELP ON THE WAY and not letting me continue my transaction. I stood there helplessly for several minutes as several employees passed me and ignored me, and I finally walked to to the counter at the end where a bored employee was picking her nose (really!) and got her to assist me. She rolled her eyes and said something under her breath to her friend and then typed something in to the computer and walked off without even acknowledging my existence. I was extremely dissapointed in the change of business hours ( I work Late hours so it was convienent to have a place to shop late if needed.) I spent quite a large amount of money here every month as I Dont only come when I need dinner, but for other household items etc. However after the treatment I recieved before I even entered the place by the security guard, I will not be returning until he is dealt with or I receive an apology from him personally for the aggressive and condecending behavior toward me, when I engaged with him in a polite and friendly manner, even after the fact. It was 12:30, I came by to grab toothpaste and some soap with all intentions of being quick in and out. So anyways I pull in but I notice the big Kroger sign on the front of the building is now off thinking mabey they close even earlier on Sundays, I see Mr.Security gaurd standing out in front of the door, so I decide to slow down to ask him and make just to make sure, I said " Excuse me, you're all open until one still?" He literally SCOWLS at me and starts bending over exaggerantly pointing at the door behind him and in such a completely rude nasty aggressive tone he says "why Dont you read the door? Can you read it? Read what it says, were closing at one" I smiled, said "cool good for you" . I parked my car ran in now 10 minutes later this guy tracks me down in the isle I am in and barks "you got 20 minutes to finish up" in yet another unneccarily rude tone. Seriously the guy was just unnecessarily rude and nasty. He was a short African guy middle age. I hope you find a better representation of the company or I'm sure it will eventually cost you a couple more long time customers. read more

This is the cleanest Kroger I've ever encountered. It reminds me of Whole Foods. I miss the grocery store. I moved away and Kroger on Howell Mill is disgusted. Go somewhere else. I would give Kroger negative stars if I could. Nearly every member of the pharmacy staff is rude, clueless or both. They continually have issues getting medication and keeping it in stock. They've even claimed they couldn't order certain a medication they didn't carry. I found it easily and in stock at other pharmacies (not Kroger). It is impossible to quickly refill a prescription online, on the app or through the phone prompts. They also claim they no longer take prescription discounts, like GoodRx, so if you do go here, make sure they aren't overcharging you. The grocery store isn't any better. It's difficult to navigate, always out of items and the produce is never fresh, so I no longer shop for groceries here. read more

Okay so I want to describe this amazing 10 out of 10 experience. I walk up to the deli hungry and not sure what to get . I finally decided to get a sandwich and that's when I asked this great employee BRUCE , to recommend a sandwich. He recommends a turkey and I ordered it to my liking . The time and effort he put into it surpassed my expectations . Literally THE BEST sub sandwich I've had in my life ! If you ever go to the deli make sure you look for Bruce . He's a real nice guy and the jokes had me going . I appreciate the service Bruce I will be seeing you more often. read more

Horrible experience with outside pick-up. They substituted items when I specified NO SUBSTITUTIONS. I had to go through every item and send back what I didn't want. The clerk then brought me back a $15 gift certificate for the items I returned. I have no idea if that was the correct amount since I did not get an itemized receipt. So, I went inside and found all the items I had previously ordered sitting on the shelves. The lady packing my groceries had her mask pulled down to her neck. When I ask her to wear it, she refused. So, I told her not to touch anything else and I packed my own bags. The same thing happened to my son this past week-end at the same store. They clearly do not look for the items you specify, so don't bother with outside pick-up. You'll have to go inside anyway. read more

It's OK, I guess. The store has a lot of potential: near my house, newer store, spacious. However, it's alwayd crowded, the layout is really weird, and they are frequently out of whatever it is I'm looking to buy. Also, it's a pain in the ass to get in and out of the parking lot. I usually want to pick up a few things and get in and out as quickly as possible, but the crowds, layout, and parking situation aren't conducive to that. I will say, most of the employees I've met are friendly and helpful, so I'll give them an extra star for that. read more
