This Kroger needs a total remodel. It is old. Again I stop here for what I can't find at HEB in Tomball. Only buy Ground Meat here. If Ribeyes are on sell and look good, ok. Meat Dept. The produce is good. Shelves aren't always stocked, but if you are lucky you can find one body doing grocery shopping for pick up and they can help you. I've been a loyal Kroger customer for many years. However, ever since H‑E‑B came to town and everyone raves about it I thought I would try it out. NEVER, and I mean NEVER will I ever go in that store again!!!!! I did today and all their produce was crap, the product selection has been narrowed down, they are out of everything, this girl in the bakery didn't know what Bavarian cream King Cake is, just as I had my purse hovering over the basket of a handicap scooter to put my purse in it an employee slid in it and rode off. When I said something he said an old man needed it. WTH!!! I'm old too and have MS, RA, Osteoarthritis, Degenerative Disk Disease, Joint deterioration from RA, 3 neck surgeries, 3 back surgeries, hip replacement and metal from head to toe!!!!! I left H‑E‑B and went straight to Kroger and they had everything I needed and then some. I found exceptional sales on meat and the produce was beautiful!!!!! If you have elderly parents or care about not getting COVID-19, I urge you NOT TO SHOP HERE OR EVEN GO HERE!!! Every single time I go there, they have employees with their masks pulled down or allow customers not to wear a mask and say nothing to them. God forbid you go between 10 and 12. You'll see a small gothic black haired girl stocking right at the entrance with no mask and walking right next to customers. Self checkouts aren't wiped regularly. Shopping baskets are never cleaned either. I'm going to start going to HEB now which is a shame because I have used Kroger for over 25 years. I have tried to take pictures of other employees not wearing a mask and they see me and turn the other way and pull the mask back up or run away. So I walk in today when it was extremely crowded because I needed to use the ATM. I noticed an older employee standing face to face with customers at the self checkout by the entrance with her mask pulled down to her neck and talking to the customers who were masked as they checked out. She then was walking to the other side of the store with her mask still down and I was able to snap a pic. She saw me take the pic and still didn't give a you know what to put the mask on. I called and told the manager who was very kind and took it very seriously. He is very professional. However, I am not sure I will be returning any time soon. This is a grocery store that will put co-managers on a register just to keep the lines down and the customers happy. I have never encountered an unclean location, and the only stores with dirty bathrooms are off of the beltway. Meat and produce are fresh and well-stocked. Out o' the Big Three (Wal-Mart, HEB, Kroger) this is my pick. Wal-Mart's focus of carrying everything takes away from their focus of fresh groceries and HEB brings to mind a storehouse. I'm a Kroger's shopper, this location by far is one of my favorite, it's in such a convient area. There is a number of fast food resturants, stores, and Kroger's gas pumps all within miles. Not to mention the store is never crowded, all though I must admit, I'm a early shopper. If you want your click list order delivery or pickup completed on time you should save the fee and get your groceries elsewhere. In the past year, I have gone to pick up an order twice and was sent home because it wasn't ready. Items have been left out of my order three times and I have had to make a trip to the store after my delivery. The coupons aren't always applied correctly. Today my delivery order was scheduled between 1pm and 2pm. It is 3:20pm and my order STILL hasn't arrived. This is the worst customer service possible. read more

Why are the shelves in Tomball Kroger's not as well stocked as other Kroger's? I drive to a Kroger's Market Place 20 minutes away because of this. I have noticed a trend in products carried; more Kroger brand with less variety regarding canned goods. Sorry, but not all Kroger brands are good quality. Produce is hit or miss. Aisles are narrow. I believe this is because they have enlarged the area where other items other than groceries are carried. This is a small Kroger's. Do they really make that many sales from this area? There are great employees working there, so no reflection on them. I see this as a management problem. read more

I have repeatedly been disappointed with this store. Very poor customer service. If you shop early and are overcharged, too bad. You have to return after 0800 when customer service is open. Receive the following txt at 0624 regarding my 0700 pick up... Kroger: Remember to pickup your order today between 7:00AM and 8:00AM. Call 281-826-5013 when you arrive. Reply STOP to Opt Out. So, I arrive and call the #. Then and only then am I told my order will not be ready today. I can call later in the day and see if it may be ready tomorrow. Really? Why wasn't I given a courtesy heads up about this? Why the txt reminding me to pick up my order? Was told the txt is computer generated, but I was welcome to come in and shop. REALLY. A week has passed. Evidently they do not feel the need to notify customers until they arrive that the services they proclaim to provide will not be provided. No thank you Tomball Kroger. Your lack of appreciation to your customers and your lack of customer service shines brightly. Cancel that $100.00 order. I will NOT be contacting you to see when you may or may not be able to provide the services that were scheduled a week in advance. I feel I should have been contacted, prior to my pick up time, that they were atleast a day behind on orders. I would have understood. Times are crazy. But don't disregard my time. I came to this kroger location after picking up party supplies across the street at party city, I have never been so horrified in a grocery store before! There was mold everywhere in the produce section, all of the strawberries were mushy or had mold, same goes for the grapes. I literally just left my basket and walked out. Just waited at the Pharmacy FOR TWO HOURS while the pharmacy tech tried to figure out if our flu shots were covered by insurance. Completely unacceptable. The tech struggled while 2 others employees (one being the Pharmacist) never even tried to help her even after I asked them to please help. Take your scrips somewhere other than Kroger's in Tomball!! Took my script in was told it was ready but after arriving found out that NO it had not yet been filled because my insurance had recently changed. Danielle is her name by the way. Back to story , I didn't have my new card so had to call back up there with the numbers THREE TIMES because she told me ID # is wrong , this is wrong and each time she said something was wrong ! Spent hours on the phone with insurance company only to take another prescription to the Atrium the next morning and the same numbers I gave Danielle went through perfectly. So then took another prescription to Walgreens Tomball and guess what worked like a charm. Had to go to work where I called Kroger's where guess who's working again today- Danielle! This morning she told me " Sorry I cannot take that information over the phone , you will have to bring the information into the pharmacy . I am too busy to take it." and hung up!! Well to the Lui family that manages the pharmacy - if she worked for me , she would be FIRED! Needless to say will NEVER go back! Having to send someone to pick it up because if I see her I just will make a scene . read more

I know there are lots of farmers markets out here, but farmers markets have farmers hours. I LOVE that there is a place out here that has a large organic selection, lots of natural foods and still has hours that I can work with. I just moved out here and have been to almost all the grocery stores, I was desperately seeking some organic food I can give my daughter and THIS is where Tomball hides it. If your eating poorly and the excuse is that your at work when the farmers markets are open consider this a great reason to eat better. Oh and who can resist the clearance aisle. Kroger Bad Gas! On 11/20/2016 I pumped gas from the Kroger in Tomball Town Center, 14060 FM 2920, Tomball, TX. After a day and half of my car sitting in the garage, I attempted to do some Black Friday shopping but the car would not start! We had the car towed to the dealership to see what was wrong with the car. A service representative from the dealership called back and said that they had tested everything and that it was contaminated fuel. My car was drained and cleaned all for the price of $780.16! On Tuesday, I went to the store and filled out the incident report and returned it to the attendant accompanied with a copy of my invoice from the dealership and a copy of my bank statement to show that it was the last place I pumped gas. I left without getting a copy of the report and drove back to the store. I went in the store and asked the customer service that I just filled out an incident report and forgot to get a copy. A not so pleasant manger, Merlene Joseph walked up to me and said "What can I help you with?''. I told her that I forgot to get a copy of the report and if I could get a copy or just take a picture of it from my phone so that I would have it for my records. She did not explain why but only said "No" and Kroger cannot give me a copy. She also told me that she had my information since Sunday but she's been busy and have not had a chance to call me back. Merlene was very rude. After a day of phone tag, I was able to speak with Pamela T. from Kroger Customer Care in Cincinnati, OH. After a few simple questions of she was able to determine that my claim was not valid and denied my claim. Pamela stated based on her decision, she was able to conclude due to two things: 1. I was the only one that complained about the fuel and 2) she requested two reports from the store and another from somewhere else. She did not go into detail but that she was to deny me of my claim and that there was nothing else I could do. I don't understand how someone in Ohio (24 hrs. after the claim) can sit there and decide on something without researching it very much before denying the claim? She didn't consider with the gas sample or even call the dealership to gather more information before coming to a conclusion. Nope! None of that! Is this how Kroger take care of their customers? I have been in retail and customer service industries and know that this is not how you treat customers. I have been a customer of Kroger for many years. I shop at Kroger for the great meat and produce that they have to offer not to mention great sales on other items but I am very disappointed with the service I have received from the store manager and the customer care representative but also Kroger does not take responsibility to do the right thing. I love shopping here, I haven't had a bad experience at this location so far since moving to Tomball two years ago. I recently entrusted the bakery with a pretty large task. I chose them to make my grandmas 75th birthday cake. I wasn't going for the new style cake, like fondant and all the bells and whistles. I wanted a classic cake since it was my grandmother and I wanted it to match her style. I found a rose cake I wanted and decided to go classic. I instructed the lady at the bakery how I wanted it and she said they would make it very special for my grandmas big day. The day I went to pick it up I was shown the cake and I was soooo very happy with the outcome. It was made just how I wanted it and in the classic style I remember cakes to be in. After presenting it to my grandma on her big day, she was so ecstatic and thankful. I'm happy i picked this location for my grandmothers cake. The cake I chose was marble with whipped not buttercream frosting since my grandmother likes the whipped over buttercream. I strongly recommend Kroger for cakes if you are on a budget and need a well made cake. read more

The costumer service is pretty good. Check out lines are quick and the store is stocked very well. The only thing about Kroger I hate is the produce, most of it is rotten and spoiled. That's why I finish my shopping at the awful HEB across the street. I just hope Kroger will get there produce right, then I wouldn't have to go across the street.
