    Reuben Egg Rolls
    Kevin W.

The menu is so fun here, lots of things to try! We started out with some Reuben egg rolls which were fantastic! The service here is very prompt and I think it typically works really well. We had one mix-up where the wrong order was brought out and that's when it felt a little disjointed. I don't think we had the same waitress come back to our table twice in a row, so it was a different person dealing with the mix up than originally took the order. Honestly not a big deal though because it was dealt with swiftly. This is a bar atmosphere and mostly bar food, but everyone agreed that the food was excellent. Only minor issue was that a wedge salad that was ordered was not really a "wedge" it was more of a "ball" of lettuce?? Cocktails are inventive and tasty here. They even have a variety of "soft shines" that you can get in to-go jars! These were fruit forward and not overly strong.

We loved everything about Krootz. The atmosphere is perfectly divey and fun. They have a stage for events, games on TV, and trivia. We tried the chips and salsa, as we were starving, and both the green and red salsa were delicious. They are served warm. The Krootz burger and the bacon Jam burger Both hit the spot, but the fries and onion wings are the BEST. We stuffed our faces and regretted we couldn't eat more.

I ordered the King Krootz Rueben with Macaroni and Cheese Gochujang. The sandwich had thick rye bread toasted perfectly with savory corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese. The macaroni and cheese had the extra beer cheese and breadcrumbs which kicked it up a notch! The food was so good that there was none leftover. I like the seating area in the back room with all of the TVs, we were able to enjoy our food and beers while watching some baseball. The Krootz craft beers are amazing too, I enjoyed the "got a gig" with my meal.

This is definitely a dive bar type vibe but I am here for it. It is very obviously loved by all the locals and it is not hard to see why. They have a huge menu and there is something for everyone. Probably one of the most well seasoned burgers I've ever had. The hand cut fries are crispy and well seasoned but they definitely could have been warmer, they were cold. But otherwise we loved it!

What a great find! We just came in for some beer but ended up eating food, and even bringing things home with us! Here's what we tried: Apple Pie, Pickle and Peach Softshine. We liked the Pickle and Apple Pie so much we purchased some to take home. Mojito Lite beer - very refreshing, carbonated and tasty! Lemon-Lime Krootz o Rita - very good! Like juice! Pub Burger Slider, and Smoked Brisket Slider - order the brisket one, pass on the pub burger!! And then we took apricot kolaches, and apricot cream cheese kolaches home for mom. The servers are super attentive and very sweet! The place feels hip and I bet it can get busy on nice summer days!

On our way from McKinney to OKC we had to stop here because of the reviews. One word. OMG!!!! Karsten was flying around taking care of all of the lunch crowd like a beast! No joke - best blue cheese burger I've ever eaten! Hubby's chili cheese burger was amazing too. Chili had a sweet and spicy flavor. Pub chips. Kolaches - who does that around here? Fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best brewery experiences I've had--hands down. I stopped into this Gainesville gem with the casual intention of grabbing a quick beer before hitting the road. What happened next turned into one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable afternoons I've had in a long time--and Brittany was a huge reason why. From the moment I walked in, Brittany made the entire experience feel personal, warm, and genuinely welcoming. She greeted me with a big smile and immediately had a great read on what kind of beer I might enjoy. Her recommendations were on point--not just a list of what's on tap, but thoughtful, well-informed suggestions based on my preferences. I wasn't planning on staying long, but her enthusiasm and professionalism convinced me to stick around. That one beer turned into a relaxed, two-hour visit filled with great conversation, perfectly timed service, and some truly outstanding food. Speaking of the food--it blew me away. Way beyond typical "brewpub" fare. Everything from presentation to flavor was spot-on. And again, Brittany didn't just drop off menus--she walked me through a few options with the kind of confidence that tells you, "This isn't her first rodeo." I went with her suggestion, and it was phenomenal. The atmosphere in the brewery was casual and friendly, with a local charm that made me feel like I was part of the community, even just for a couple of hours. Clean facilities, great taproom design, a nice mix of locals and travelers--and all of it amplified by the level of service Brittany brought to the table. She wasn't just checking boxes; she elevated the experience. Friendly, intuitive, and incredibly professional. It's rare to meet someone who seems genuinely passionate about what they do, but Brittany clearly loves connecting with people and representing this place well. Bottom line: I came in for a quick drink and ended up having one of the most enjoyable afternoons of my trip. If you're anywhere near Gainesville, Texas, do yourself a favor and stop by this brewery--and if you're lucky, Brittany will be your server.

You must understand, everytime I drink this delightful liquid, I feel as if I am Thor himself. The ambience of this area makes you feel as if you are in Valhalla, and the service from Asgard is incredible.

Exceptional experience! The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly, the pizza was next to amazing, lots of ACTUALLY good craft beers, and the restaurant itself was very clean and inviting. Awesome way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thanks guys! We will definitely be back!

Will you have game on tv tonight?

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

Yes, dogs are more than welcome on our back patio. Certified service dogs are allowed both inside and outside seating areas.

Do they not have French fries ? Not seeing my favorite side choice with a burger on the menu 😔

Yes of course! We have hand cut homemade french fries and homemade onion rings.

Anything gluten free? Food or beer?

Our hamburger patties, veggie patties are gluten free, but would need to order without the bun. We also can make any of our 10" pizzas with a gluten-free cauliflower crust (for an up-charge). As for our beer, yes, we currently have 5 beers on tap…

Music was loud enough to where I could hear my husband across the table but not anyone else around me. We could still hear the comforting sound of the fountain and fans that blew a cooling mist too! We ordered the pretzel bites as an appetizer and it came out in literally 60 seconds. Bread didn't taste like pretzels, but it was tasty and the sauces yummy. Like, I could order the bites and some beers and be perfectly content. But I was here for the fish n chips and I was so happy! I'd have preferred a full filet of fish, but the batter was so crispy and salty (I love salt!). Fries were okay and basic but not bad with malt vinegar (I can literally drink that stuff!). Husband got the elite brisket flatbread. It was huge and honestly we'll probably just split this next time we come. It was delicious and back of the throat spicy, but the toppings were outstanding and brisket was tender!! Service was soooo quick and easy and the waitress has the decency to look away as you tip. I was so impressed with this experience! I'm an introvert and hate trying to new things, but this may be my favorite spot now! We were there 7/11/26 at 12 pm. We ordered the Boss Hog flatbread, chips and queso, and two margaritas the Skinny Bear on the rocks and the Caddy frozen margarita. We definitely enjoyed the happy hour discounts, which made the visit even better. We started with our drinks, and both margaritas were mixed very well. The Skinny Bear did seem a little stronger, but both had great flavor and were easy to enjoy. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and queso. The chips were thin, crispy, and had a nice dash of seasoning on them, but we do wish they had been served hot. The queso was warm, but not piping hot, and the texture was a little gritty, almost powder-like. We were expecting a creamier cheese, so it was good, but not our favorite part of the meal. Now, the star of the show was definitely the Boss Hog flatbread. It was cooked to perfection, baked really well, and had that nice crispy texture. The toppings were generous, and every bite had great flavor. I would absolutely order it again. The ambiance was also amazing. We loved being able to see the brewery, and the dim lighting set a cool, relaxed tone. The employees were nice, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. I would definitely come back to try more menu items, and I recommend Union Bear for a cute date night, happy hour, or a laid back evening with good drinks and food.

Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years.
