Krungthep is hands down my go to lunch/sandwich spot! I have been going here since high school (so about 6 years ago) and it never disappoints! My go to sandwich would be the gra pro chicken! I have been getting it consistent for years now and it is phenomenal.They fill it up with red bell peppers, onions and a creamy spicy sauce on top of chicken. I'm always a big fan of the salad which the best sweet sauce ever! I am dying to know their recipe for it! Recently, I decided to try the Tom Yum Sandwich and it is a close second of mine. It is very simple yet jam packed with flavor. The tom yum sauce is what really makes it special! Additionally, another recent go to of mine has been the Cha Nom drink! I am not entirely sure what they put in it, but it is so creamy and sweet, perfect during a hot day in Orlando. Sometimes I would even go to Krungthep just to get that drink! Overall, I am Krungthep's #1 fan and wished there were more locations beside WP! The atmosphere is so cute and a great place to meet up with friends for lunch. Went to this cute little place for lunch with my friends, we had a great time there. The food was amazing, we ordered a couple drinks, thai sandwiches and dessert to try. We really love it here with a cozy atmosphere and very yummy, and authentic taste. From signature sandwiches, we tried graprow chicken, green curry and thaiger is crying. My favourite one was graprow and green curry, as you could really taste the flavor of these popular thai dish. Not to mention the dressing that comes with the salad on the side, it was really delicious. Thai tea with cheese foam is a must, if you like cheese foam, and they also offer pink milk or "nom yen", which is a local thai drink. We had sleeping beauty as a dessert from brick toast menu and it was so good we ordered it twice. The waiter who took care of us was very nice and helpful in explaining to us about the menu. When my friend told me the concept of creating sandwiches with iconic Thai flavors, I was so excited to try it! It did not disappoint. I had the ga-prow sandwich, which was very flavorful and had a kick of spice, and served with a side salad. Of course, I had to try dessert because they had brick toast. And wow, the matcha emperor was loaded and delicious with red bean and a scoop of matcha ice cream. My fave sandwich shop in Orlando! The building is very small and easy to miss but the inside is pretty spacious and the employees are always super nice! My go to order is the Gra Pow sandwich on sourdough with Thai chili peppers and let me tell you... as someone with a super high spice tolerance them Thai chili peppers DON'T PLAY! Stopped here on a recommendation during our Orlando visit! I really like the low-key atmosphere in this cafe. It's really cute and small. I think it's a great spot to hangout or study. We ordered the Chicken Satay and the Beef Pananag Sandwiches. They have really unique sandwiches with Thai inspired dishes! We really enjoyed ours. They comes with side salads and your choice of bread. We also got a Thai Tea which was really refreshing in the Orlando heat. I must say that I am pleasently surprised! This place is absolutely adorable. As far as being a designated tea house, this is legitimate. They have a wide variety of teas, adding to them only what is necessary to enhance flavors. Some teas do come bare, without milk or other condiments. I was disappointed when I first reviewed the menu because they didn't have an snacks listed. I asked our server if there were any snacks that weren't listed on the menu and she explained that the Brick Toast can be considered their "snack" item. I took another look and made a decision. Krungthep is a great place to go if you're looking for a quick, refreshing tea! I always get the peach tea and it is so good and prepared the same every single time i get it! Their interior is decorated very cute and simple, which i love. Their service is definitely laid back so you never feel rushed to get in and out. This place is so unique in the drinks they offer! The inside environment was on the quiet side, at least when I visited on an early Friday afternoon. There was laidback music and a few people studying and chatting. The staff member taking my order was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I wanted a low/no caffeine drink, and she explained there were uncaffeinated fruit based anchan teas and flower drinks as well and gave some recommendations. I ordered the lychee anchan with grass jelly (the only drink topping available), and while it was pricier ($7.50) than a usual drink, it was so aesthetic, refreshing, and very good for the soul. The blue color of the drink was very beautiful and my friends were all intrigued when they saw it. Only small issues were they go heavy on the ice and eating the lychee fruits was a bit awkward because they were too large to fit through the lid, so you have to take the lid off to eat them. Hidden gem! I was searching for a good, fresh and delicious sandwich for lunch that wasn't the same old run of the mill, and I stumbled upon KrungTheP! I'm so glad I came to try this place out - first and foremost, adorable. Per my last reviews, I'm a super sucker for any place that has light up signs on the wall - such a vibe! It's a fresh sleek feel inside, with a warm glow and definitely somewhere that welcomes you to sit and stay awhile. Have you ever been to Teavana back when they had stores open? If yes, then you know what I mean when I say that Krungthep has their teas on the back counter just like Teavana did - which is so awesome to see these big tins of loose leaf, when you're ordering one it just gives it such a more fresh and authentic feel, knowing it's not just a fountain or something pre-made. When I came I was doing a to-go order, but if you do come to sit down and eat, there aren't many places to sit right now - I am assuming due to social distancing. There are probably about 2-3 square tables and then a couch off in a little nook on the side. I went around 11:30am on a Saturday and there was only one other person there, so it was not a problem! I myself got the Bird & Apple Sandwich with Rye bread, this comes with a side salad with arugula, a house dressing that's a light and fresh asian ginger taste, topped with sesame seeds. I love arugula so the salad was a nice surprise but the dressing was phenomenal, and really pulled the whole meal together. The sandwich was turkey, apple butter, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, pressed and warm. It is on the sweeter side as to be expected but nothing could've prepared me for just how much I absolutely fell in love with this sandwich! HIGHLY recommend !! If you read it and you're even remotely interested; just get it!! You will not regret it and are certain to love this if you're an apple / sweets fan! Side note on cost - the sandwich and a tea together was $18, just the sandwich was about $10 - for reference! Overall, for a sandwich and tea it is a bit pricey but for the area and quality as well, I think it's understandable and worth it! "Hidden gem" is a common expression used, whether it's in a Yelp review or the response from a friend who's introduced to amazing Thai teas, sandwiches and desserts. And no surprise at the reactions. My "go to" here is the Thaiger is Crying sandwich on Olde Hearth's pumpernickel bread. The marinated beef with the spicy sauce and red cabbage and onion combine to excite the taste buds. In fact, until recently I found it difficult to order anything else on the menu. But, I have tried both the Tomyum Goong sandwich and the Mango Salad and they leave me wishing me there was more when I finished. The tea menu lists literally dozens of drinks, mostly teas, and they all look fantastic. I've only tried the Thai iced tea since I'm more of a coffee drinker. And, the Thai Iced Coffee mixes the right amount of strong Thai coffee with sweetness and cream. I've been going to Krungthep for a couple years now and I can safely say it's one of my favorite spots. It gives a vibe that you truly can't get anywhere else! The food is delicious and filling (my go-to is the Satay Satay sandwich, which comes with a delicious side salad), and the ambiance is just chillllllll. It's a great place to go when I want to enjoy a quick, delicious lunch without too much commotion! The teas are delicious too, and there's sooooo many options! It's always fun to try a different tea every time I come back. The servers are always nice too, and they have a great playlist, so this place is perfect for me. Have never had a big problem here, and I would say there has been ample seating every time I've gone. Location is great too -- it's only a few minutes drive from Park Ave, and a few minutes walk to some bars or coffee shops if you want to change the vibe up afterward. The workers are rude. Decided to try a drink I didn't try before It was supposed to be a tea tasted like it had coffee and when asked if I could exchange because I did not like how it tasted they said I could not and needed to buy another. I never ask for refunds. So I simply asked for cream to at least help the flavor and they had the audacity to try and charge me for a small cup of cream or milk ?!? The wait said it would be about 45 minutes, but I arrived about 10 minutes early and it was getting boxed up - perfect timing! The lychee peach iced tea was really light and refreshing. The tea list is extensive and I already have my eye on a few for next time. My husband ordered the Larb sandwich. He said it was nice and spicy. KrungThep Tea Time is when Thai Asian fusion meets modern hipster. The restaurant has a coffee shop ambiance serving tea, boba, and small bites from sandwiches to salads. The space is small and there was a wait for a table when we came for a weekend lunch. Although the ambiance is suggestive of a nice place to sit down to study or work, the lack of tables means people will be encouraged to leave after their meal is done. We grabbed a Thai tea along with the mango salad and Thaiger is Crying sandwich. The Thai tea is a bit on the sweeter side and I couldn't taste as much of the tea but I also did not ask for a lower sugar level. The mango salad was delicious with perfectly grilled shrimps and a citrus, tangy sauce that went well with the sweet mangos. The sandwich composed of grilled beef, carrots, cabbage, onions, cheddar cheese, and their "Jaaw" sauce which is similar to spicy mayo. I was expecting a nice hit of the umami, acidic, tangy flavors known for in Thai cuisines and the sandwich left me quite disappointed. It felt flat and the cheese did not work well as it overpowered the other flavors. TLDR; hipster place for a nice photo w/ tea and a light snack. The drink I got was the thai iced tea which was made with brewed ceylon tea, cream and sugar. The drink was totally on point and hands down one of the best thai teas I have ever had from anywhere. The tea itself was really strong and you can taste that it was brewed from tea leaves and not made from thai tea powder. The amount of cream and sugar added was just right. The dessert I got was the battle high hat. Overall, it is a very sweet dessert, but surprisingly the scoop of ice cream was not as sweet as I thought it would be. The chocolate powder also helped to overset some of the sweetness since it was somewhat bitter. The only thing I would have wished for was another scoop of ice cream to be added to my dessert. The Gra-Prow Chicken Salad is absolutely amazing! The sauce is just a touch too salty but overall absolutely amazing. I did ask for a sauce on the side and still got sauce on top, but ended up eating all of the sauce anyway, I do wish I was able to get the sauce on the side so that I could feed my two-year-old some of the chicken though since the sauces a little spicy. Amazing little spot!!! Everything that we ordered was so, so good and almost just as importantly, so aesthetically pleasing. The restaurant was so cute and the staff very friendly. We got there right when it opened and started with drinks. I had the matcha milk tea, which was really delicious. One of my friends had chrysanthemum tea, which was also great! We had three different sandwiches- gra-prow chicken, tomyum goong, and from the forest. They were all so delicious and came with side salads. I had heard rave reviews of this place and I work nearby, so I fiiiiinally for around to trying it. Although the menu be small - she be mighty. I was kind of shocked when I walked in here - this is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop than I thought, but the food was seriously killer. I wasn't thrilled at the prospect of having salad with my sandwich (I am NOT a salad person), but once I took my first bite, I realized why they offer more dressing for additional $$ on the menu. Incredibly tasty. The service was decent and I was in and out relatively quickly on my lunch break. There was one thing I wasn't expecting -- my Thai iced tea didn't come in that cute bear mug, it came in a larger glass though, so I'm not complaining.
