I brought in a set of Ice Hockey shoulder pads that my son and I were beginning to think were unrepairable, he didn't even care what they looked like in the end just didn't want them to get any worse. I had brought them to a shoe repair place, they couldn't help, a auto upholstery place said nothing could be done as well. I brought them in to Krupps and Mario looked at them said just a minute let me check something and 20-25 minutes later I left with good looking, sturdily repaired pads! Mario and his crew went above and beyond in helping me. I had a cool old armchair that had been in the family for decades and they made it look like new! I knew it was going to be an investment but for new foam and fabric, with piping AND tufting the materials and time added up. It looks like a new chair and it cost about the same as a new chair, but I know it's going to last me for decades. I imagine that these people could do a good job, however you will have to wait for weeks to get anything done. My item sat in the front roll up door (exposed to the elements) for a week until I picked it up without doing the work. All they did is to use it to store material and wood framing on top of it. Won't go anywhere but Krupp's! We have had a 16 year old Pottery Barn couch that our whole family has loved through the years. The cushions were getting worn down and lost its comfort. Called one day and the next day it was done. Bill the owner was helpful in explaining what we could do to bring back its comfort. I brought a cushion into the shop and Mario at Krupp's did one cushion to bring home to test out for an hour and said to call to let him know if it needed more cushioning or less. I had an old sectional sofa, well built with a teak base, that I wanted to give new life to. Because the set was well made and sturdy, I figured it'd be worth looking into some reupholstering instead of spending money on a cheaper new set. Krupps to the rescue! For less than it would've cost me to buy a good high quality replacement set, Bill Bagley (the owner) outfitted my sectional with some gorgeous new animal print fabric hand picked by me which matched my new decor perfectly. During the decision making process, he gave me a bunch of fabric books to take home and look at with no pressure to get them back to him by a particular time. When I'd decided on the fabric (and found the money to do it), he came to my house to pick up the furniture, and redelivered it upon completion, all of which is all included in the cost of the job quoted up front, no hidden amounts that jump out at you later. :) Though the "office" is actually in a converted commercial garage, don't let that dissuade you. If anything, it simply helps them keep costs down by not having to maintain a fancy showroom, providing the right kind of space needed to do their work. If word of mouth is the best form of advertising, then let me shout it out from the roof top. I love Bill's work and would definitely recommend Krupp's Upholstery to anyone. :) read more

I had Krupps re cover a mid century sofa and a pair of small arm chairs. This was about 7 years ago. My sofa was a classic that had been recovered several times, The seat cushions had been destroyed, but the balance just needed new fabric. I gave them exact details of my sofa 2 large seat cushions and for loose back 4 cushions that extended above the sofa back. Igave them the 4 back cushions. They returned a sofa with three and three cushions, removed the center supports (90+ inch sofa) and had made the back cushions bolster that are lower than the back of the sofa. I asked them to re-do the work and they would only add more down to the back sofa.He could not answer why he didn't call when he saw 4 back cushions...just said that the seat cushion would slip (there are hooks to hold it in place) Now the fabric has disintegrated (I ask for durable fabric) as has the seat cushions, the frame has bowed to the point it touches the floor. The sofa now sits about 8" high. the chairs had the arm covers (attached) come off reveling the staples and tacks holding the fabric down. I have attempted to re-attach them, but do not have the tools needed. Total waste of 4500. They did come recommended by friends The problems occurred within 6 weeks of receiving the pieces back. read more

Got back my dining chairs today and I am a happy customer. I have some dinning chairs that need new cushions. I shopped 3 other places before going to Krupp. Other places all quoted me with prices that were way much more than buying new chairs. I went to Krupp as a last hope and Bill gave me a really reasonable price. There are also a lot of fabric samples to choose from. After my chairs were done, Bill called me to pick them up but I couldn't leave work, he offered to deliver the chairs right away, for free! I have used Krupp's Upholstery to do a number of furniture pieces and seperate cushions. The results were very good in all cases including redoing an antique chair. Bill and Mario are easy to deal with, and although they sometimes get backed up with business and have fairly long completion dates, they always met those dates. Recommend them highly. read more

I was a little skeptical after reading AJ S.'s 3 star review, but what I found was 5 star customer service and quality workmanship. I too left my 4 dinner chairs near the front roll up door next to their warehouse crammed with furniture waiting to be reupholstered. That was Tuesday and Bill said to call for pickup at the end of the week. I angst thinking there's no way they can finish all that work and have my chairs ready by Saturday so I called on Friday (just 3 days later) and Mario had them ready for pickup at 1:00pm. The chairs look beautiful with top quality work and the warehouse was almost cleaned out. THEY DO AN AMAZING AMOUNT OF WORK!!! read more

In July 2018 we searched for and located several upholstery companies, including Krupp's Upholstery, on Yelp. After speaking (by phone) to three stores, Bill (@ Krupp's) provided the most thorough response and sense of professionalism. Our five star rating for Krupp's is based on: (1) the finished product was excellent, both the materials and the craftsmanship; (2) they completed the work on time; (3) Bill provided a written estimate and came in under the estimate; (4) Krupp's provided access to a wide assortment of fabrics and Bill provided competent suggestions on different products; and (5) it is one year later and dozens and dozens of students have climbed in and out of the chair (it is in an elementary classroom) and the cushions still look brand new. A satisfying experience at a reasonable price is all too rare these days but not if you visit Krupp's Upholstery. read more
