Full Day Tour (with buffet lunch!) WOW!! My family and I checked out Kualoa Ranch for the first time and had the BEST time. There are so many things happening at once but once they point you in the right direction, you can expect a good time. - Jungle Tour (Caleb) was informative and shared lots of laughs. - Movie Tour (Vaihi) was smooth and a good time with island reggae music playing in the background. - Garden Grown tour (Ioane) we made 2 pit stops to sample things and he was a great time!! Tours start at 9:20 BUT get there early since there's gonna be a lot of other ppl going to try other things like the ATV tours, riding horses, zipline and etc. Buffet lunch at 12pm was all so good! Probably bc we were hungry Lol I loved their kalo bread pudding with dark chocolate chip sauce The museum they have set up with the AC was super informative. I can't wait to go back again.
I have seen the ranch several times but did not have a chance to visit until now. I am glad we got a chance to come. Jurassic Park has always had a place in my heart since the movie premiered and a big place in our family's heart since we started hanging out at Universal and taking the kids to see the Jurassic World movies. We love dinosaurs. So the Jurassic tour was the one I selected. There are so many tours to pick it was super had to narrow it down to just one which was a good thing because even being here half the day is a lot in the sun. Other tours that looked enticing were the movie tour, the ATV tour and zipline tour. Maybe we will do another one in the future. I love the beautiful ranch. There is so much land and so many photo opps. The tours are very popular, so when the site says they sell out, it is true, I made sure to book from home in advance and many of the times were gone, and most of the tours seemed to be at capacity. I also saw a comment about not picking people up from another customer. On the website they do have a spot to get picked up from certain areas. We were on the Waikiki beach strip and caught a ride from their bus both ways. I would suggest calling them direct, the were helpful in telling me the nearest spot since I had originally picked a farther stop and they helped me adjust it to the hotel next door, thank goodness! An overall nice time. They gave us plenty of time for photos. They helped by taking picture for guests, made silly and fun dino videos with a toy dino and pointed out all of the fun spots. I even got to pass the Skull Island bones even though we did not stop, but I had wanted to at least see it in person, goal accomplished. So many movies and shows I watch have been filed here, including Monarch and Lilo and Stitch, which I am also a fan of both. We loved both the nature and the movie magic of the area. I loved seeing their cattle and horses. Things that were a bit confusing. They told us to check in to certain areas. I would go talk to the people, give my name and check in then relax, only to be told right before the tour I did not check in the correct spot and that it was in the email. They literally sent seven emails, first of all, and second when I tried to check in why did you say I had to go to a different spot. It did not affect us in the end, but it was annoying. Then same with happened going home on the bus. I was told to check in with a lady. I gave her my name, she said okay and sat us down. When the bus arrived he said I had to see that same lady I check in with. She sent me literally to the end of the line to check in again! Why did she not tell me she did not check me in the first time? Don't know, it did not affect us in the end, but why so disorganized twice? Maybe a bit more communication or next time I will quadruple check that I am check in properly. I like that they had a lot of cold drinks that were not too much more than an ABC store, since it was very hot out there, but I feel like their food and souvenir game could be better. I know they are a ranch, but it is a missed opportunity to have more and better options. The souvenir shop had very cheap quality products. If I were them, I would have had a bigger shop, with higher quality material, separated into each type of tour, like a better dino area, a better movie area, etc...I did get one child some dino gummies and one wanted a sweatshirt and my husband found a hat, but we would have bought more if they had more ranch branded items. I also would have liked to have seen more little props for photo opps in the movie areas. Some places only had a tiny sign. Just a few more would have been great. Overall the trip was from about 7 AM to about 2 PM. So this is a great way to spend a half day on the island.
Our guide, Iven, did a great job! He was knowledgeable, personable, and helping us have a great experience. The scenery was breathtaking! I can see why this is a preferred site for so many tropical movies. No picture could capture the beauty of what we saw today. The speaker system on the UTV left much to be desired. We had difficulty hearing and understanding our guide while driving due to the muffled sound from the speaker, coupled with the sound of our car. We did not have issues understanding him when the car was stopped. The scheduling process was a nightmare with repeated unexplained cancellations before we were able to finally lock in the reservation. Customer Service did apologize repeatedly and gave us a 25% discount for our trouble. The on-site dining option was nice. We took advantage of eating lunch before our tour. This venue has the potential to be a five star visit. If the audio situation was fixed, and the upfront booking situation was fixed it would've been a five star experience.
We had a GREAT time on our 2-Hour UTV Raptor Tour! Online booking is simple and day-of check in was a breeze. They ask you to get there an hour early, but once you're checked in you can explore a bit before getting your helmet and vehicle. Once on the ride, there's plenty of stops throughout for movie sites or to learn Hawaiian folklore. The views are incredible and the UTVs are a blast to drive. Absolutely recommend!
Our family had another FANTASTIC visit to Kualoa Ranch! We did the same activities as last time...horseback riding and UTV ride. Mine and my daughter's horseback riding guide was Swade! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. Our two hour ride flew by. I do recommend the early morning rides versus the late morning and afternoon ones. Also, each group of riders is no larger than seven people, not including your guide. In total, the ride is about seven miles. There were three different parties in our group and my daughter and I were the only ones who gave a tip to Swade. Please be sure to tip your guide. They really do appreciate it!
Absolutely beautiful! Kualoa Ranch offers some of the most spectacular views on Oʻahu. I came for the scenery and left with hundreds of photos! Kualoa Ranch is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. The mountains are massive, the air feels fresh, and every view looks like a postcard. If you do only ONE thing while visiting Oahu then this should be the thing. Besides the beautiful views on the Ranch they have such a great history. You can do the standard movie tour and see the literally hundreds of movies and TV shows filmed there or explore a bit more on your own with their ATV tour or horseback tour. Everything is reasonably priced and our guide was fantastic. So much knowledge of history, filming, wildlife and lore. All done without a script in sight. There is a bunker built for WW2 that was never really used but now houses movie memorabilia from the many productions on the ranch. Staff everywhere was super friendly and be sure to check out ALL of the buildings as they offer food souvenirs and even a shop with meat and products from the ranch itself.
We did the UTV raptor ride along tour. I'm glad we picked this. We didn't have to worry about driving and we got a personalized narrated tour. The guides would occasionally point things out over the loud speakers along the way, but we ended up having a nice conversation with our guide. She pointed things out that not everyone got to hear. 2 hours was just long enough. Would definitely try a different tour.
My biggest recommendation is look online to investigate what kind of tour you want to do. Each experience is different. Investigating also the availability is important, if you just show up, you maybe waiting for the next tour window to open up. I went with my sister and we chose the Movie Sites and Ranch tour. The whole tour was an hour and a half. The cost was $60 We booked it with our hotel, so they gave us the availability window. The bus was open window, make sure you wear sunblock and you are dressed accordingly, the bus took us on the trail with great views. The best park was the scenes from the film. Jurassic park is a classic, Kong: Skull island was amazing to see in person. After our tour we checked out the gift shop. They have all sorts of souvenirs. If you like adventure this is a great experience to book.
If you're visiting Oahu, Kualoa Ranch is an absolute must-do. Every time we find ourselves on the island, we make it a point to come back and try a different excursion and it never disappoints. Whether it's the farm tour, ATVs, e-bikes, or even visiting the secret beach, every experience has been fun, unique, and incredibly well run. The setting alone is worth it you're surrounded by some of the most breathtaking natural beauty on the island, with views that are easily among the best in Oahu. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and there's even a chance you'll stumble upon a movie being filmed, which adds a little extra excitement to the day. This time around, we did the e-bike tour (novice level). Even though it's labeled beginner-friendly, I'd say it can still be a bit of a workout. I consider myself pretty athletic, and there were definitely moments where I had to push myself. That said, it just made the experience more rewarding. They do have you complete a practice run beforehand to make sure you're comfortable handling the bikes, which is reassuring. Our tour guide was fantastic and really made the experience enjoyable. As a bonus, we even got to catch a glimpse of the next Jumanji movie being filmed, which was such a cool surprise. We can't say enough good things about Kualoa Ranch. It's one of those places that keeps you coming back, and it absolutely deserves a spot on your Oahu itinerary.
This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. It was the ultra E bike tour at Kualoa ranch. Our guides Tony and RK were the best. Tony gave us a on hands on tour of beautiful areas and information on the land. The ride itself was brutal after a rain but it was well worth it if I could afford it I would go again. I took my 3 sons and my husband and we had a blast. We were filthy. It's not for the week you need to be experience riders on a E bike.
Enjoyed a lovely day at Kualoa ranch, complete with a boat ride, bus ride, movie tour, and buffet lunch, with 16 others in our youth group. Nice reunion with college students back home for the holidays, and youth getting ready to head to Korea on a scholarship. Enjoyed the company of one of our youth's collegiate friend, who is visiting from Korea (and transferring from Grinell to UNC next semester). The parking lot was in overflow mode with the many visitors flocking to the many tours offered here. It's best to arrive early for your tour as it may take a few minutes to walk up the slight hills and stairs to check in. We camped out on a picnic table awaiting arrivals, went to the store and service deli for hot and cold foods and beverages. Took pictures with the dinosaur and animals placed around the park-like area, watched and listened while the many tours (i.e., 9:30 boat tour - you may line up now!) queued up in various sections of the large driveway. Horseback, ATV, Bike, and a host of other activities are available. Some include swimming, others include lunch. We were treated to the Secret Island Boat Tour and it was a gorgeous day! What also impressed me was the services provided to an elderly visitor-each stop had a wheelchair awaiting. For the walks on the sand, there was an appropriately kitted wheelchair (I'll attach a picture. Staff are in constant contact via their headsets and walkie talkies to advise of arrival times.) The 5-7 minute bus ride to the first boat was followed by a short walk on the sand to the double decker boat. Tevan was our guide and we were treated to history, agriculture, aquaculture, movie lore, fantastic photo ops, and lots of local humor. Yes, we even spotted several turtles! TIP: Remember your sunscreen, sunglasses and maybe a hat, it can get hot out there! And rubber slippers/flip flops are recommended, as boarding may get your tennis shoes wet and sandy. You will climb up a stair like ladder so hold on to the railings! Buffet lunch was actually pretty good - green salad, mac salad, broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, several dressing options, white rice, teriyaki chicken, bbq ribs, corn n beans, chili, cookies, and a variety of juices (pog- a popular passion-orange-guava mix-; calamansi, lemonade, and apple), and there's a water station to refill your bottles/flasks. Restroom lines go quickly and there is staff constantly trying to keep it clean with the hundreds of people coming through. (Am not kidding!). Never had to wait long and never ran out of seat covers nor paper goods. Even their port-a-potty facilities are air conditioned, I heard! There are strategically placed anti-bacterial gel stations at entrances to food areas. It's good to bring wet wipes, though;). We had lots of time to fellowship and chat during lunch and there is time to go for seconds and thirds! There's ample outdoor table seating, but beware, outdoors means there are some airborne guests like flies, some walking birds, and a variety of red and black ants on the picnic tables. Amazingly, while they are there, (none bit me), just shoo them away and all will be well! (It would probably be nice to have those little food fans around the tables someday.) The movie tour bus ride covers vast terrain, and you even get to visit a movie prop museum - Battery Cooper - with great photo ops while walking through- but watch out for the live dinosaurs! Also on the bus ride- You'll spot live animals, and other guests on their ATVs, bikes and open air Jurassic Jeeps. Love how the staff are intimately familiar with every inch of the road up and around the Kualoa acreage. It can get bumpy, but the staff are great drivers and they warn you ahead of time if you should hold on;). Pause frequently to appreciate the panoramic, stunningly beautiful, views! No words, appreciate the gift of this beauty. Also love the teaching moments - love your neighbor/community, love and respect yourself, and share the same love and respect for the 'aina, the land. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. They take care of the fish, the pond, the livestock, and more, and it feeds the community, including those in need. The market sells out of their fresh produce and local treats - but our group did grab some frozen shrimp, sweet land farms goat cheese, apple bananas, pop culture ice pops, fresh greens, ulu chips, and big island coffee. I was soooo tempted to get their forage beef bone broth and meats!!!! Gosh, we forgot to look at our group photos! They take them before embarking on your adventures! This visit was all the more memorable because of our youth group and fellowship, but this is not my first visit. Local kama'aina love visiting Kualoa Ranch, and you will, too! read more

AMAZING. My husband and I have been here a few times whenever we're back home in Hawaii. We did their movie site tour years ago where I remembered it to be a lot of fun. We came back again this past Monday to celebrate my husband's birthday and take our 3 year old son on his very first tour at Kualoa Ranch. We decided on the jungle expedition tour. Booking is super easy when you go on their website. I recommend to buy your tickets in advance since the time slots are limited and can sell out pretty fast. We came about 45 min before our reservation time so that we could walk around the visitor center and take pictures of the ranch. Our son loved to watch the horses and take pictures of the dinosaur statues around the ranch. We boarded onto an open-air jeep where we were greeted by our friendly tour guide, Cheyenne. Our son was scared at first to board onto the jeep so Cheyenne let him hold onto her bingo (bluey character) and little chicken keychain during our entire 90 min tour. It was very nice of her to do that for him. It didn't take our son long to get comfortable and warm up to the fact that we were in a jeep going on a jungle expedition through the beautiful valley. Every turn we took was another amazing view of Kualoa Ranch. We learned a lot about the history of the ranch too. We stopped twice at view points where they allowed us to take pictures. It was absolutely breathtaking. We even saw a few movie site locations where the Jurassic park series and Kong were filmed. We had a wonderful time at Kualoa Ranch. The ranch is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Seeing our son smile and have so much fun really made my husband's birthday special and memorable. We will definitely be back again the next time we come back home. Maybe next time our son will be old enough to do the Jurassic tour. I highly recommend. read more

Our family of 5 booked the E-bike tour. It was amazing!!!! Kate was our tour guide. She was friendly and very informative. It was a workout for us while getting sun and having fun.. We came here to do the zip lines. It was a great experience and Elisha, Quinn, and Carson were all great, efficient, and entertaining. They had little games to keep us entertained and keep it going. There were a few little hikes to get to some of the towers which were a little rough with the steps for us older folks, lol. It was still fun. Everyone was great and all the staff is so nice. I would say the only other thing is maybe get some febreze on the helmets as they were a bit stinky. read more

Incredible is the only word to describe this tour! We booked the UTV Raptor tour based off a recommendation from a friend. The entire working ranch is amazing with breathtaking views. We were lucky enough to get paired with Matty and Kai as our tour guides. They brought not only humor, but a great depth of knowledge as they guided us through various stops and movie locations along the way. The UTVs were easy to operate, they helped with pictures along the way, and even took us on an additional pathway, because we had some additional time. This might have been the coolest activity we participated in on our vacation. We'll be back for round 2 the next time we're on the island! read more
My brother got married to the love of his life at Kualoa Ranch. I was excited when they told me they picked a venue for their nuptials. I had to look it up but they filmed a bunch of movies here: Jurassic Park, George of the Jungle, 50 First Dates, Jurassic World, Kong: Skull Island, Jumanji, Pearl Harbor, etc. While I did not get to do any of the Film or ATV tours, we were bussed up to Kualoa Ranch from Waikiki to Paliku Gardens, where they held the wedding. The chairs were set up with a view of the ocean amidst the lush greenery. There were incomparable views of Mokoli'i Island, Kaneohe Bay, and the Ko'olau mountains. They lucked out with the weather as it had rained earlier in the day but cleared up for the ceremony. The wedding party had access to a Wedding Get Ready suite with bathrooms and air conditioning, which was crucial for the older folks who needed a reprieve from the humidity. There were additional restrooms available to the wedding guests. They rented the area from 10 am to 10 pm. There were about 18 chairs set up for the wedding ceremony itself but there were 9 tables set up for the reception (max cap.120). There was a separate food setup/kitchen area for the caterers. They hired a DJ and set up a photo booth as well. Once the ceremony was over, we waited for the reception to be setup. The cocktail hour started at 4 pm and dinner started at 5 pm. There was an open bar and the drinks flowed until the end. It was a beautiful ceremony for a well loved couple. The vendors were great. The guests were promptly picked up by the rented party buses at the end of the evening and dropped off in Waikiki. The venue is gorgeous but bring your bug spray! read more
WOW. What an experience!! This is a must do in Hawaii. I am a huge fan of movies, especially Jurassic Park and this was made for me. I went as a solo traveler and did the Jurassic Adventure Tour. Our guide also took us to the movie bunker as a bonus. The scenery and history of this location can not be emphasized enough. This is a must do! Ah, Kualoa Ranch. The name evokes grandeur. Adventure. Maybe even the roar of Jurassic beasts echoing through emerald cliffs. But alas--what we got was a glorified game of musical statues on wheels. The e-bikes? Glorious. The scenery? Cinematic. The ride? Tragically interrupted--every. five. minutes. Just as you begin to feel the wind flirt with your collar, just as the engine purrs beneath you and you finally remember what freedom feels like... STOP! Time for another 15-minute lecture about a patch of grass or a movie no one watched. Truly, it's the kind of experience where adrenaline goes to die, surrounded by retirees clutching selfie sticks and guides who mistake monologue for magic. This tour doesn't take you on a journey--it takes your excitement hostage, then smothers it with trivia and photo ops. One star--for the breathtaking, indifferent cliffs that stood tall while we, the tourists, were herded like caffeinated sheep from one pointless halt to another. read more

The views and nature are impressive, but if you're looking at just doing one of the tours that doesn't involve adventure (ATV, zip lining, etc.), I wouldn't do it. I'm sure those adventure things are fun in beautiful scenery, but passive Kualoa Ranch is such a bust and truly feels like a tourist trap. The movie tours on both bus and boat are SO boring, especially for younger kids. Both of our kids fell asleep from extreme boredom, and the TV/movie sites are not impressive at all. If you do a half-day of tours, your ticket also includes a pretty gross, sleepaway camp-quality lunch, and all of the vending machines are broken, leaving you with limited drink options in a pretty hot, sunny area of the island. It's not great. This was the lowlight of our time on Oahu, and it was one of the most expensive things we did. If you're going for adventure, I'm sure it's great. If you're going for just tours, do not bring your kids. They will be bored out of their minds, and you might be too, but you'll convince yourself that being in nature was worth it because you paid for a pretty brutal day. read more

My family and I did the movie tour on the bus and we had so much fun! It is a long day but overall well worth it. The beach was beautiful. Kualoa ranch is exactly what you picture when you think of Hawaii- lush greenery, aqua waters, sandy beaches, chickens running around everywhere. This location inspired us so much that we decided to book family photos with the Kualoa Ranch mountains in our background. Absolutely stunning. My suggestions- bring cooling towels, lots of water, sunscreen, hats or umbrellas for shade. read more
Kualoa ranch was the highlight of my trip to Oahu! They offer a variety of activities here, such as zip-lining, horseback riding, ATVs, hiking, and various tours. We did the Jurassic adventure tour and it was an amazing experience--we were able to check out all the sites in an outdoor vehicle. Seeing the filming sites itself was really cool but even outside of that, just being able to drive through such stunning scenery was amazing as well. Our tour guide was great as well. Activities here are a bit pricey but 100000% worth it. read more
Kualua Ranch was probably the highlight of my most recent trip to Hawaii. I've been to Oahu many times, and I'm super disappointed with myself for not coming here until now. I almost actually skipped this the morning of because we were so exhausted from the day before...I'm so glad we didn't because I most definitely would've regretted it in the future. We did the "Best of Kualoa Experience" full day package with a pickup from the Sheraton where we were staying. The package included the Jungle Expedition Tour, Hollywood Sites Tour, and the Kualoa Grown Tour, with a buffet lunch between the tours. When you get to Kualoa, they will check you in and present you with your schedule of tours. Out of the 3 tours included in the package, the Hollywood Sites Tour was by far the best one. The other tours were good, but if I could only do one, the Hollywood Sites would be the one I would choose without hesitation...you get to see all the sites where they filmed movies/shows including Lost. But it's not only a strictly movie sites tour per se...Out of all the tours, the views and the scenery was probably the best on this particular tour. The lunch buffet was nothing special, but a welcome inclusion to the full day experience because we were absolutely famished by lunch time. There was a good spread of food including chicken, ribs, rice, kimchi, salad, macaroni salad, desserts, and a juice station. Nothing really stood out, but the quality was decent for a buffet. Overall, one of my favorite experiences/tours in Oahu. It was basically an all day experience and we were completely exhausted at the end, but we had a lot of fun and the scenery was amazing. We did the 2-hour ride and it was absolutely amazing! We had some rain during the tour, but it didn't ruin anything, if anything, it enhanced the beauty of the experience. If it does rain, they even have ponchos available for purchase, which was a nice touch. Our tour guides, Missy and Louie, were fantastic. They shared so much interesting information about film sites, ancient stories, and more--you could really tell how knowledgeable and passionate they are. This was actually our second time taking this tour, and it's truly worth every penny. We'd do it again in a heartbeat! read more
We did the Jurassic Adventure Tour and it was a good experience. The ranch is beautiful and the staff were friendly. We stopped at multiple movie sites to look around and take pictures. But I did think it was bit pricey ($420 for 2 adults and a child) to be driven around and just look around. It was still an enjoyable experience, especially if you like Jurassic World movies. read more

Had an amazing time on the 2hr UTV raptor tour! Kudos to our guides, Reese and Josh, who had a great sense of humor, knowledgeable, and brought a ton of fun to the experience. Incredible views and lots of photo ops! Cool to see the diff sites that Jurassic world and other movies were filmed. We did the 12:45pm tour in late May and had perfect weather. read more
Had a great time zip lining at Kualoa Ranch. We made reservations online two weeks before our trip. Wasn't a far drive from Honolulu. Enjoyed a bit to eat before our tour. Had a great time with the zip lining team on my birthday trip. It really it beautiful and zip lining was so much fun! Would totally go again!! They offer military discount, you buy your tickets first and they refund the discounted amount on the day you check in. read more
There is so much to do here and not enough time! This place is the backdrop for so many movies like Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, Murder Mystery, etc . If you have some time you should come for a visit and book an attraction. They have horse back riding, atv tours, we took the grown tour and got to taste some of the amazing things growing in their gardens. Cacao, mangoes, macadamia nuts , pineapple, Poi and so much more! Our tour guide Rayray was amazing! She was so knowledgeable, hilarious and sweet. She definitely made it a good time for all! Would definitely come back again when I'm town! During our trip to Honolulu, we embarked upon an adventure to Kualoa Ranch. I didn't know much about this place since my husband selected it for our next excursion. I had to take a few hints from the brochures that were placed out front. The drive to Kualoa Ranch was beautiful. Lush trees and beautiful blue/green waters hug the coastline as you make your way to the property. The exterior looks like a regular building, but once you make your way through, the adventure will begin. The first building that you'll walk into is a gift shop. They have several souvenirs that support the Jurassic Park theme. A small snack bar is also inside the building so that you can grab a bite to eat before or after your adventure. Restrooms are located to the left, but they are small and the line can build from time to time. When you walk out of the rear exit, you'll see another building to your left. That is where you will pay or check in for activities that are available at the ranch. The most popular activities are zip lining and UTV tours. We opted for UTV excursion. Once we checked in, we were provided with goggles and a helmet. We brought neck gaiters and compression sleeves for our arms. It was essential for this activity as people come back quite dirty once the activity is over. We signed the waivers and had a safety briefing and then it was time to head out on the ranch. When we walked over to the UTVs, we noticed that they were pretty muddy. This was a great indicator as to how this ride was going to be. Thankfully, we had neck gaiters on to cover our mouths and noses as well as goggles. This helped us avoid coming back with a face full of dirt. Once you begin your tour, you'll take in the natural beauty of the area. The ocean views are phenomenal and are postcard-worthy. The topography of the land is often bumpy with several tight turns. There are also opportunities to get out of the UTV and explore around for a short period. Several movies were filmed here and you'll see film props on the property. The guide will provide you with the history of the land as well as which movies were filmed in various locations. It's pretty nice to stand in the same location where scenes from Jurassic Park was filmed! Kualoa Ranch is absolutely beautiful. Locals are very welcoming to visitors as we are some of their main sources of revenue. We didn't have a chance to zip line or take on any of the other activities, but the UTV was a first for us. We booked an Experience Package which included the Movie Site & Ranch Tour, Jungle Expedition Tour, and Kualoa Grown Tour. All three tours were amazing and very educational! They were all very different with different points of interest so I didn't feel there was much overlap. The Kualoa Grown Tour was my favorite because I have a strong interest in food and culture. Our tour guide was great and it was fascinating learning about different agriculture methods, local plants and vegetation, and trying things like poi, raw cacao fruit, and raw macadamia nuts! The Jungle Expedition Tour was my second favorite because we were able to go all the way up the mountains and even a short hike up to the top to see some of the most breathtaking views of the mountains of hawaii. Although the Movie Site & Ranch Tour was my least favorite, there was nothing bad about it in any way! It was only 3rd place for me because I don't have a very strong interest in movies. However, for those more interested in film it would have been incredible! The background on Jurassic Park and Lost was cool to learn about and the valleys we drove through that made up the background for these films/shows was beautiful. After all the tours we had a buffet lunch which was delicious and the ranch had a large gift shop that had a lot of cute clothing and souvenirs. They also had a to-go style food court as well for snacks. Kualoa ranch was a wonderful experience and really a one-stop shop to see some of the most beautiful areas of Oahu. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area and I'd even go back and do different tours in the future! Not cheap but was worth every penny. read more
This was so much fun and very much recommended. There's so many activities to choose from but if you're not looking to do any physical activities, there's a few tour options to check out Kualoa Ranch. Watching the movies that were filmed there and to see it in person felt so unreal. From start to finish was pretty smooth. Booking online, checking in, getting in line, then waiting for our group number to be called. We chose the UTV to be more hands on with the experience. We had 6 people in our group which fit us all in one UTV. (1 driver, 5 passengers). The UTV is also a tour so we had tour guides leading the way and other UTVs following along. We also made a few stops so they could explain certain areas such as FYI on the movies that were filmed there. Our tour guides were awesome! Kept it entertaining with some humor and engaging the crowd so it was fun and informative. Kualoa Ranch was such a beautiful site to see. Going up on our UTVs and looking out was such amazing view. I'm glad we all had the opportunity to experience this. This is must when visiting in Oahu at least once. read more
The Kualoa Ranch was a bit of a letdown, as we came here to check out their market. Unfortunately, they really didn't have much of a selection, as we expected more variety of fresh produce and a larger offering of local items. I did manage to find a goat's milk soap, a popsicle, and some drinks. We booked the UTV tour. The ranch was simply incredible. Love that they are trying to restore native vegetation and flora/fauna. Guides were super informative and you could see the care and respect they have for the environment. There is plenty of other activities to enjoy the ranch. It's unfortunate that we couldn't really open up the throttles of the raptors but did have fun driving. The scenery is stunning. If you are on the North Shore, its not a baf place to spend a few hours. read more

This is a must-visit place if you're in Oahu! It's a beautiful and breathtaking 4,000 square acre ranch with a beautiful scenic view of the ocean. They have many different types of tour you can do in many different time slots. We decided to do the UTV tour. You can drive one or do the ride along one with the tour guide. We decided to do the ride along. The tour guide will drive and share interesting facts about the ranch. This gave us a chance to really enjoy the surroundings and take photos & videos. They make 3 major stops where you can get off the UTV and take photos. The tour guides are amazing with telling us the stories and interesting facts of the area. They'll also help take photos for you. You'll want to give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the ranch because most of the tours require you to check-in 45 minutes prior to your tour start time. It gets pretty warm in the day so I recommend morning tour time. There is a gift shop and also an indoor food place. Nothing fancy but you can get beverages, snacks, and meals. Terrible Customer Service - Shame on Kualoa Ranch My husband and I booked the Raptor Tour at Kualoa Ranch back in 2022, spending nearly $300 for an experience we were truly excited about. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend due to my husband falling ill with COVID. Given the serious circumstances and the fact that this happened during a global pandemic, we had hoped the ranch would show a little understanding or flexibility. Fast forward to now--after two years, we are finally returning to Oahu and I reached out in hopes of receiving at least a partial credit or some form of accommodation since we never got to enjoy what we paid for. I was placed on hold multiple times, asked to speak to a manager (who never came), and was met with an unapologetic and frankly rude response. I was told we should have returned within two years--no credit, no refund, no empathy. Just, "Oh well." For a company that thrives on tourism and claims to be part of the "aloha spirit," this was incredibly disappointing. Vacations are expensive, and for many people, coming to Hawaii is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The lack of compassion and the tone of the staff made it worse. It wasn't just a firm "no"--it was dismissive and offensive. Shame on Kualoa Ranch for putting profit over people. I will not give them another dime of my money, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. read more

My zipline experience was great. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They all make sure that everything is good and everyone in a group safe. I wish the tower will be taller and more zipline to go instead of the bridge. Camera system to capture the picture during zipline is not that great. Many people in my group didn't get any picture. I saw I have one picture but didn't have change to buy it and they rush me to come back down to the service area. They told me it will be a kiosk to buy a picture, but they didn't have it. The people in the ticket area gave me an email to contact the manager but didn't help at all. Only answer back was I have to go back to the ranch to get a picture so no way else. I was so disappointed that I have no picture on the zipline. read more

Such a cool place!! We did a tour of the site with Laka & Seashell. It was a great time! Our guide Laka informed us on the beautiful history of the land where his family has lived for many generations and the history of Kualoa Ranch. It's so beautiful to experience the pride Hawaiians have of their sacred land and culture. I highly recommend any of the activities available, there's so much to do here!! You should be able to get 2 UTVs. Each fits 3-4. You'll just have to book the self drive tours with a guide. Worth it! We had fun and didn't have to share a UTV since we had 3.
Debating on Jurassic adventure tour and 2 hour UTV raptor tour. Are they both similar stops and photo opportunities or ultimately the same? Or would it be recommended to maybe even do both if there are multiple differences?

I believe you could do both if you schedule first thing in the morning and the other early afternoon. It does make for a very full day, but would be worth it.
How do you get back to Wakiki if lyft/uber isn't avalible on the way back?
I think I saw a few buses on my way there from Waikiki. Not sure how often they run

When I went around 12:00 pm, it wasn't as crowded as Waikiki but there were a few families there but plenty of open space.
What is the difference between the Jurassic Adventure Tour ($139.99) and the Best of Kualoa Experience Package ($149.99) aside from the cost?

Trying to choose between the 2.5 hour jurassic tour or best of tour. We want to take pictures with the Jurassic park sites and kong sites. Is that possible with the 2.5 or movie sites tour? We don't mind spending the day here

Does the 2.5 hour jurassic tour also take you by the kong stuff?
Jurassic expedition is more time in the ATVs, and you only visit Jurassic Park filming sites. You briefly pass other movie sites while driving (Pearl Harbor, etc.) but don't learn anything about them or get out of the vehicle.

Would I be able to see the cafe from 50 first dates starting Adam sandler?
If I'm not mistaken, the cafe was built near the Secret beach area and it was removed after the film. We did the Ocean Voyage tour, and they mentioned it.
Who drives for the 2 hour ATV tour if there is no one over 21 in our group?
If you book the tour, you can talk to the ticket office to see if your guide can drive for you. We have done it before and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. If anything, call to book and explain you'd want a guide to drive for you if possible. 🤙🏻
I will purchase the Hawaii Go Pass which includes the 1/2 day at the secret beach? While there, I would like to book ATV raptor for our family of 5. What is best way to do both? Do beach first? How do they handle "half day" use?
We only did the secret island beach but I have to tell you that the words "1/2 day" are a misnomer. We got 2.5 hours on the beach and it goes really fast. The secret island was great but I would not equate 2.5 hours to half a day.

Which tour allows me to sight see film locations and get out and take photos? The ATV tour seems cool but it doesn't seem like there are chances to walk around/take photos. Which tour is best for that?
I did the ebike tour and I LOVED every minute of the tour!! Yes, you can off the bike and take pictures!!!
What time of day is the best time to go?
In the morning so you beat the crowds there and heading to lunch spots after.
