Kualoa Ranch is a staple in Oahu and attracts so many visitors every day. The amount of different tours the ranch has to offer is amazing. My brother was visiting from Florida and loves Jurassic Park so I had thought it would be fitting to take him in the Jurassic Adventure Tour. We chose the bus option instead of UTVs because we wanted to relax and enjoy the sights but there is a UTV tour option as well. We were able to see a lot of the different movie sights and our guide was great at explaining and walking us through the history of the ranch and all the different movies and shows that have filmed there. Our guide even got it to the episode or scene for each show or movie, which was really cool. Once your tour is over there's still so much to do and see if you have time. There's a small farmers market store towards the front of the ranch as well as a visitors center that has a souvenir store as well. I can't wait to go back to do another tour and keep learning about the ranch and area.
We did the 2-hour UTV Raptor tour at Kualoa Ranch and bought our tickets online ahead of time. One of our friends ended up having to bail the day of, and they were nice enough to refund their ticket, which we really appreciated! The two hours went by SO fast. You make about three stops along the way and get around five minutes at each one to take pictures. Other than that, you're mostly riding through the ranch, but the views are absolutely beautiful and there's so much to see. I do wish we had a little more time to walk around and explore at some of the stops, but the ranch is huge, so I can see why the UTV is a good way to cover more of it. The staff was also super friendly and always willing to help take pictures for us. Such a beautiful place and a really fun way to see Kualoa Ranch. I couldn't believe how quickly the two hours passed!

Our guide, Iven, did a great job! He was knowledgeable, personable, and helping us have a great experience. The scenery was breathtaking! I can see why this is a preferred site for so many tropical movies. No picture could capture the beauty of what we saw today. The speaker system on the UTV left much to be desired. We had difficulty hearing and understanding our guide while driving due to the muffled sound from the speaker, coupled with the sound of our car. We did not have issues understanding him when the car was stopped. The scheduling process was a nightmare with repeated unexplained cancellations before we were able to finally lock in the reservation. Customer Service did apologize repeatedly and gave us a 25% discount for our trouble. The on-site dining option was nice. We took advantage of eating lunch before our tour. This venue has the potential to be a five star visit. If the audio situation was fixed, and the upfront booking situation was fixed it would've been a five star experience.
Kualoa Ranch is a "must-do" when visiting O'ahu. We did the Jurassic Adventure tour and our tour guide was friendly, very helpful with taking pictures and very informative with so much knowledge. Had a great time!
Absolutely beautiful! Kualoa Ranch offers some of the most spectacular views on Oʻahu. I came for the scenery and left with hundreds of photos! Kualoa Ranch is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. The mountains are massive, the air feels fresh, and every view looks like a postcard. If you do only ONE thing while visiting Oahu then this should be the thing. Besides the beautiful views on the Ranch they have such a great history. You can do the standard movie tour and see the literally hundreds of movies and TV shows filmed there or explore a bit more on your own with their ATV tour or horseback tour. Everything is reasonably priced and our guide was fantastic. So much knowledge of history, filming, wildlife and lore. All done without a script in sight. There is a bunker built for WW2 that was never really used but now houses movie memorabilia from the many productions on the ranch. Staff everywhere was super friendly and be sure to check out ALL of the buildings as they offer food souvenirs and even a shop with meat and products from the ranch itself.
Did the full day package and was disappointed that many of the routes are all similar with same views. It is boring and misleading. On top of that, they are very stingy with the farm tour and only give you one tiny smaller than a quarter size portion of the fruit to taste. You can even get bigger samples at Chocolate stores. The tours were stingy, boring and they make so much money and yet they couldn't even be bothered to install outdoor ceiling fans at the buffet lunch area, or give us water bottles on the tour in case people overheat. It is very hot in Hawaii and definitely a concern that people can overheat. Yet no ceiling fans or AC, even inside the buffet area where flies gather because they're attracted to the heat. Definitely not worth it. Save your money at go Byodin Temple instead.
This place was very cute. We loved seeing the horses and seeing some of the scenery. We wish there was more free walking areas to see the animals as we really wanted to see the cows. The gift shop was nice.
I have seen the ranch several times but did not have a chance to visit until now. I am glad we got a chance to come. Jurassic Park has always had a place in my heart since the movie premiered and a big place in our family's heart since we started hanging out at Universal and taking the kids to see the Jurassic World movies. We love dinosaurs. So the Jurassic tour was the one I selected. There are so many tours to pick it was super had to narrow it down to just one which was a good thing because even being here half the day is a lot in the sun. Other tours that looked enticing were the movie tour, the ATV tour and zipline tour. Maybe we will do another one in the future. I love the beautiful ranch. There is so much land and so many photo opps. The tours are very popular, so when the site says they sell out, it is true, I made sure to book from home in advance and many of the times were gone, and most of the tours seemed to be at capacity. I also saw a comment about not picking people up from another customer. On the website they do have a spot to get picked up from certain areas. We were on the Waikiki beach strip and caught a ride from their bus both ways. I would suggest calling them direct, the were helpful in telling me the nearest spot since I had originally picked a farther stop and they helped me adjust it to the hotel next door, thank goodness! An overall nice time. They gave us plenty of time for photos. They helped by taking picture for guests, made silly and fun dino videos with a toy dino and pointed out all of the fun spots. I even got to pass the Skull Island bones even though we did not stop, but I had wanted to at least see it in person, goal accomplished. So many movies and shows I watch have been filed here, including Monarch and Lilo and Stitch, which I am also a fan of both. We loved both the nature and the movie magic of the area. I loved seeing their cattle and horses. Things that were a bit confusing. They told us to check in to certain areas. I would go talk to the people, give my name and check in then relax, only to be told right before the tour I did not check in the correct spot and that it was in the email. They literally sent seven emails, first of all, and second when I tried to check in why did you say I had to go to a different spot. It did not affect us in the end, but it was annoying. Then same with happened going home on the bus. I was told to check in with a lady. I gave her my name, she said okay and sat us down. When the bus arrived he said I had to see that same lady I check in with. She sent me literally to the end of the line to check in again! Why did she not tell me she did not check me in the first time? Don't know, it did not affect us in the end, but why so disorganized twice? Maybe a bit more communication or next time I will quadruple check that I am check in properly. I like that they had a lot of cold drinks that were not too much more than an ABC store, since it was very hot out there, but I feel like their food and souvenir game could be better. I know they are a ranch, but it is a missed opportunity to have more and better options. The souvenir shop had very cheap quality products. If I were them, I would have had a bigger shop, with higher quality material, separated into each type of tour, like a better dino area, a better movie area, etc...I did get one child some dino gummies and one wanted a sweatshirt and my husband found a hat, but we would have bought more if they had more ranch branded items. I also would have liked to have seen more little props for photo opps in the movie areas. Some places only had a tiny sign. Just a few more would have been great. Overall the trip was from about 7 AM to about 2 PM. So this is a great way to spend a half day on the island.
We had a GREAT time on our 2-Hour UTV Raptor Tour! Online booking is simple and day-of check in was a breeze. They ask you to get there an hour early, but once you're checked in you can explore a bit before getting your helmet and vehicle. Once on the ride, there's plenty of stops throughout for movie sites or to learn Hawaiian folklore. The views are incredible and the UTVs are a blast to drive. Absolutely recommend!
Amazing tours on kualoa ranch. This one was the 2hr ATV tour and for what it worth it wasn't to shabby. I enjoyed the service and hospitality. Would come Back for another tour they offer on property.
Our family had another FANTASTIC visit to Kualoa Ranch! We did the same activities as last time...horseback riding and UTV ride. Mine and my daughter's horseback riding guide was Swade! He was so friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. Our two hour ride flew by. I do recommend the early morning rides versus the late morning and afternoon ones. Also, each group of riders is no larger than seven people, not including your guide. In total, the ride is about seven miles. There were three different parties in our group and my daughter and I were the only ones who gave a tip to Swade. Please be sure to tip your guide. They really do appreciate it!

Did the three hour UTV off road tour. Amazing experience with cool movie sets and amazing views and beautiful mountains. We had the best time. As great as the tour was would not have been anything without our guide Mike D!! So much knowledge about the ranch and Hawaiian culture. Would go again! read more
It's a really touristy thing, but it's a lot of fun if you're into movies and film. We did the movie tour and got to see the dinosaur bones. Our guide was informative and the ride was pleasant. There is lot of film history and culture to learn about. The ranch is beautiful and we had a great time. read more
A great place to visit! I want to come back and maybe try the UTV tours as they are always booked. Try to schedule a tour more so I couple weeks ahead as there will most likely not be anymore reservations. The tour was amazing due to the tour guide we had and he made the not so much UTV tour an actual worth while experience. I am surprised though that there wasn't any popcorn offered and it was a movie tour. With all the corn and vegetables being grown I was expecting there to be some. read more

We finally made it to Kualoa Ranch after having it on our list forever, visitors gave us the perfect excuse (since the tours are a little pricey). I booked the Movie Tour because I figured it would give us a wider mix than just Jurassic Park, as we're not exactly dinosaur superfans. The tour was on an open-air bus, which was nice for the views. Helpful tip: bring a carrier if you're going with a toddler, ours got pretty restless halfway through. There were two main stops, one at a WWII bunker, which was cool since it added some history alongside the movie sites. Our guide, "Uncle Sam," was super chatty. To be honest a little too much at first, but he grew on me, and his humor kept the group entertained. Bonus: he knows all the good angles for photos, so don't be shy about handing him your phone. As for the movies... I was lost in a lot of them (we even watched "Finding Ohana" the night before to prep), but I'd actually recommend brushing up on a few films if you want to get the most out of it. My favorite part, though, was seeing the ranch itself: cows, pigs, papayas, bananas. Somehow that felt more special than spotting a film set. Overall, it's definitely a polished, touristy kind of experience -- not something we locals usually do -- but the scenery is stunning and the mix of history, film, and farm life made it a fun day. read more

WOW! Just WOW! What an amazing visit. First time coming here and it was absolutely great. Super friendly staff from the moment you arrive. I did 3 tours in one day and every single one amazed me more and more. Our tour guides were amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Made everyone feel welcomed. Bonny was absolutely amazing. What a great experience. I was told by family that I would love this place if I visited. It definitely didn't disappoint. I was very impressed. The scenery is out of this world. I didn't want my day to end. Fell in love with this place. I will definitely be back on our yearly family vacation. read more

We did the Kualoa Half Day package from the mountain to the ocean and it was absolutely amazing. My only regret is not doing more tour options while there. We started with the Hollywood Sites tour. It was surreal to see the views all throughout while also getting to see some of the filming locations. The history of the site is also incredible and the tour guides do a great job of incorporating throughout the tour. Then we did the ocean voyage. That was also really cool. The views of the island from the boat were worth the price of the tour. We also learned about their man made fish pond and saw additional filming locations. We were fortunate enough to see sea turtles throughout our voyage. I've been to Hawaii a few times now and cannot believe this is the first time we've visited the ranch. It is a must do item. Took the 2hr horseback tour earlier this week and although the weather wasn't the best, unpredictable this time of year, I had the best time. As an animal lover and a person who's taken care of horses their whole life, these animals are incredibly well cared for, and often times in tour-like environments, it's very apparent that the animals are worn down... and that is simply not the case at Kualoa. Another stand out of my tour was our guide Iris. Her knowledge of the land, the ranch, and overall kindness was a step above the rest. Cannot recommend enough! read more

On several of our friends' raving reviews, we opted to try the 2 hour UTV tour of the ranch. Highly recommend booking it ahead of time online - the process is seamless and they send you all that you need to just check in on the day of. You have to arrive 45 minutes before your tour so that they can get you situated. We opted for ride along, just because we didn't want to have to focus on driving while enjoying the sights; it worked out because our tour guide could tell us about all of the history and her recommendations. Shoutout to Sid - she made our trip so fun with her enthusiasm and passion! The ranch itself is absolutely breathtaking - it doesn't even look real in our photos. This is an absolute MUST! read more

Extremely disappointing experience. Our group booked a UTV tour expecting a fun and safe adventure, but what we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent enforcement of rules, and a complete lack of accountability from management afterward. The biggest issue was their driver swap policy. We were never clearly informed that driver changes were restricted to certain locations. At the third stop, multiple guides verified the second driver's wristband, confirmed everything was fine, and allowed us to continue. Then, after we had already left the stop and continued on the trail, another guide suddenly pulled us over and demanded that we switch drivers immediately. As a result, what should have been a two-driver rotation turned into one person driving the entire two-hour tour. If this was truly such an important safety procedure, why did multiple staff members fail to enforce it at the actual checkpoint? Why was it only brought up later after we had already left? What made the situation even worse was management's response afterward. Instead of acknowledging the obvious communication failure and inconsistent actions of their staff, they repeatedly claimed that their employees followed company policy appropriately. At the same time, they admitted they would review and improve how these procedures are communicated to guests. You can't have it both ways. The most frustrating part is that they seem to believe that as long as no accident occurred, their staff's mistakes and the negative impact on customer experience simply don't matter. A professional company takes responsibility when its employees create confusion for paying customers. This company chose to deny responsibility entirely. There are many tour operators in Hawaii. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Screenshots from management's written response are attached. read more

This is a review of the "Movie Sites & Ranch Tour" for $60 per person. This tour does NOT take you to the Jurassic Park tour site. It does take you to the main valley of the iconic scenes from the movie though. It was really exciting to see where some iconic movies were shot. I recognized movies/shows like the Jurassic Park franchise, Kong Skull Island, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Lost, Windtalkers, Jumanji, and so much more. The location is beautiful. It's definitely a 5/5. I enjoyed walking through the WW2 bunker and taking pics with the bones at Kong Skull Island. There were some parts of the tour that got rather boring. I probably wouldn't go back here unless it's for a different tour. read more
My cousins were visiting from the mainland and we decided to play tourists for a day and zip line at Kualoa Ranch. Living here my whole life, I haven't been to Kualoa before. My cousins booked us at 9:00am and it was quite a drive from town. When we arrived, we were directed to a counter for check in. They took our weight and went over a few things before we head to the zip line station. The driver drove the booked guests (there were 6 other people [strangers] with a total of 9 people in the group) in jeep to the zip line station. It was about a 20 minute drive there where he announced some info and scenes in Kualoa Ranch. It was pretty cool seeing the movie sets and props as well as the beautiful nature view. When we reached to the zip lining station, we had 3 guides to help us get started with safety procedures and getting into our harness and helmets. We had to use the restroom once more at the station since the zip line tour was about 2 hours long and there are no bathrooms in the area. We also left our belongings in the lockers and decided not to bring our phones since we didn't have a holder to secure our phone. They warned us if we drop our phone during the zip line it could get lost forever because of the thick foliage. There is a short hike to each zip line point. The 3 guides helped us get on the towers and secured our harness onto the line. It does take some time to go through since there were 9 people in the group with only 2 lines available. The guides were friendly and would always start up a conversation for those waiting their turn. This is my second time zip lining and I enjoyed it. I'm afraid of heights but after zooming down the line, seeing the incredible scenery, and the wind blowing through your hair, it was such a liberating experience. The views were beautiful and the weather was great, not too hot and it was pretty cloudy for some cool shade. We had a surprised shower but luckily it didn't last long. Overall, we had a fun time. I really liked the view and scenery of Kualoa. Our guides were very cool. Definitely something to add onto your bucket list. read more

Such a fun experience. We did the Movie site tour and loved it. Such an informative experience about how many movies and Tv shows have filmed here. I also didn't know the property was the site of a real WWII bunker during the war. I would have loved to do the ATV tour but it was well beyond our budget to ride one vehicle and be charged for 4 adults. Really wish it was better priced for a family to do it, especially since only one person gets to drive. $600 is way too expensive. read more

This place is AMAZING! First time visit even though I've been to Oahu 18 times! They offer a lot of activities. We signed up for the Jurassic tour and our guide, Garrett was FABULOUS! He's so knowledgeable and explained everything we needed to know on this tour. The ranch is breathtaking, with spectacular views as we traveled in an open air 4-wheeler. A lot of photo ops as we pit-stopped four times. It was a bit bumpy at times LOL We lucked out on the weather since we took the first tour out at 8:20 am. Had we taken a later tour we wouldn't be comfortable. A must visit! read more
Did the 3 hour UTV tour which allowed for more photo ops compared to the 2 hour one. One UTV fits 6 people, and allows for 2 drivers. You can swap drivers at one of the multiple stops. Our guide, Paulo, was very knowledgeable, knew good angles for photos, and had a great sense of humor! Check out their bromantic bestie pic. Fun experience! Bring cash for tips. read more
Such an amazing experience and one of the highlights of my trip! Booked the "Jungle Expedition Tour" which was about 90 minutes. The ride is very bumpy so if you don't like that then this probably isn't for you. The tour takes you through the rainforest and had some breathtaking views. You get to see a few movie sites from Jurassic World, King Kong, and Jumangi. There was an optional hike at the end to a scenic overlook. It was short but steep. Wear appropriate shoes because it can get slippery if it rained that morning. I definitely recommend going on the hike if you can. The view at the top was worth it! PRO TIP: Everyone is required to check in at the ticket office before you head to the waiting areas, even if you purchased a ticket online beforehand. Plan accordingly and go early to check in. The line gets very long. read more

This is more so of a preserve where you can do more than just look around as you would at other preserves. Our UTV tour was what we expected and more. We got views of everything that we hoped to get views of. It's Hawaii the way Hawaii likely was when they were called the Sandwich Islands. Our tour guide is that guy, and we got the perfect mix of fun and educational. If you're a fan of mainstream movies even at the most minimal level, you'll be wowed by everything that has been filmed here. They also have a farmers market type store that sells you their local meat and goods. Short and sweet because what fun is there in giving away all the fun, just come. read more

Loved doing the horseback riding experience! It was a great anniversary gift from my girlfriend and Jaden was an incredible guide. If you're looking for the perfect photo ops and a unique tour of the Jurassic park experience, this is definitely the spot. Also, you get to learn how to ride a horse for two hours - like what? This was one of my favorite experiences in Oahu and a must try! We did the 12 PM zipline tour on Friday. I'd definitely recommend being there atleast 30 minutes early (45 recommended) since on a busy day it can take a while to check in. You'll have to sign a waiver and get weighed to ensure you're good to meet the zipline requirements. We got there 11:30 and our guide picked us up at 12 to drive up to the ziplines. The drive was about 20 minutes and the guide pointed out many movie sets as we passed by. Would make for another great visit to do a different experience on the ranch to get a closer look at those spots. Once we got to the zipline starting point, we got an opportunity to use the restrooms and then were assisted into our Ziplining gear. From there, our 3 Ziplining guides took over for our group of 11. We had such a great time! The guides were hilarious and made the tour so interactive, also our group got along so well. We did 7 zip lines and 2 suspension bridges. They also gave us a heads up on the cameras for photos you can email yourself at a price later. We finished around 2:30/3 PM If you're confident, you could zipline with your phones and/or a small secure bag that stays on you snugly. We got some great videos on our phones. You do zipline in pairs as there's two lines that run down in parallel. Overall, I'd highly recommend this experience! read more

Kualoa Ranch is a great place to visit that has many different adventures to choose from. I had been here many years ago and did the ATV tour which unfortunately they don't offer anymore. Instead it is the UTV tour which can take around 5 passengers. This UTV tour is what our group decided to do and it was a very fun experience! Kualoa Ranch itself is beautiful with lush greenery and views of the Kualoa mountain range and Kaneohe Bay. As you can guess this is a very popular destination for tourists so it can get very crowded, especially the main building. Note that arriving early is best and the check-in area is at the back. The staff does a really good job of welcoming guests and providing history of the ranch. They also give guests a neck gator as a take-home souvenir which you can use to protect your face from dust, and I thought this was a nice touch. On the tour you will follow the guide in a line with 3 stops along the way and ability to switch drivers. I had such a fun time driving and bumping along the trail. This particular day was rainy and I highly suggest bringing or buying a poncho just in case since the UTV have open sides and when it downpours, you will get soaking wet (also recommend bringing a change of clothes). But in all the rain really added to our experience and made it more memorable. While the cost of the tour is on the pricier side, it is definitely worth a visit. read more
There are a lot of activities to choose from here. We did the UTV it is "lead /follow" in the utv. You WILL get dusty. They give you a neck gator, which is pretty cool! There are three stops for photos and info. The down side is that you don't get to hear about some of the places of interest as you pass - like you would if you were on the bus ride. Half the fun is driving the utv. The guides are awesome When we first pulled up there were tour buses disgorging passengers and I suddenly thought it would be like an over crowded Disneyland. But there are so many activities that the actual utv ride was just four utvs per guide. Yes, this is a tourist destination, but go anyway. It's fun. Be a tourist read more

Is there anything for a family with a 1 year old to do at the ranch?
The vip movie tour, they take u around in a van or there's one w a open view trolley
If there are 7 of us, would we get 2 raptors to ourselves? Or would they put strangers with us to fill up the raptors?
You should be able to get 2 UTVs. Each fits 3-4. You'll just have to book the self drive tours with a guide. Worth it! We had fun and didn't have to share a UTV since we had 3.
Debating on Jurassic adventure tour and 2 hour UTV raptor tour. Are they both similar stops and photo opportunities or ultimately the same? Or would it be recommended to maybe even do both if there are multiple differences?
We did both and loved it. Glad we did. Some is the same, but there were enough differences that we appreciated them. Different guides, so you get very different experiences. On the Jurassic Adventure you get to hang out longer at places, and…
We would like to do the UTV raptor and the Malama experience on the same day. Is there a recommended order for us to do the 2 tours?
I believe you could do both if you schedule first thing in the morning and the other early afternoon. It does make for a very full day, but would be worth it.
How do you get back to Wakiki if lyft/uber isn't avalible on the way back?
I think I saw a few buses on my way there from Waikiki. Not sure how often they run
Has anyone gotten motion sickness on the UTV trips, is it super winding, can you tell them to slow down if needed?
I get bouts of motion sickness occasionally and I had no issues, plus there are 4-5 stops along the tour where you get out and walk around for 10-15 minutes.…

For the secret island how many other families are there during the same time on average?
When I went around 12:00 pm, it wasn't as crowded as Waikiki but there were a few families there but plenty of open space.
What is the difference between the Jurassic Adventure Tour ($139.99) and the Best of Kualoa Experience Package ($149.99) aside from the cost?

Trying to choose between the 2.5 hour jurassic tour or best of tour. We want to take pictures with the Jurassic park sites and kong sites. Is that possible with the 2.5 or movie sites tour? We don't mind spending the day here

Does the 2.5 hour jurassic tour also take you by the kong stuff?
Jurassic expedition is more time in the ATVs, and you only visit Jurassic Park filming sites. You briefly pass other movie sites while driving (Pearl Harbor, etc.) but don't learn anything about them or get out of the vehicle.
I have a group of 3 coming the week of 9/26 and all Raptor tours are sold out. Any chance we can still book the day of our visit at your location?

We actually run UTV tours now ... so the multi-passenger ATVS ... but not the single rider quads anymore. thanks for asking ... Kualoa Management
Would I be able to see the cafe from 50 first dates starting Adam sandler?
If I'm not mistaken, the cafe was built near the Secret beach area and it was removed after the film. We did the Ocean Voyage tour, and they mentioned it.
Who drives for the 2 hour ATV tour if there is no one over 21 in our group?
If you book the tour, you can talk to the ticket office to see if your guide can drive for you. We have done it before and I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. If anything, call to book and explain you'd want a guide to drive for you if possible. 🤙🏻
I will purchase the Hawaii Go Pass which includes the 1/2 day at the secret beach? While there, I would like to book ATV raptor for our family of 5. What is best way to do both? Do beach first? How do they handle "half day" use?
We only did the secret island beach but I have to tell you that the words "1/2 day" are a misnomer. We got 2.5 hours on the beach and it goes really fast. The secret island was great but I would not equate 2.5 hours to half a day.
I was wondering you have some kids event for Easter?
Which tour allows me to sight see film locations and get out and take photos? The ATV tour seems cool but it doesn't seem like there are chances to walk around/take photos. Which tour is best for that?
I did the ebike tour and I LOVED every minute of the tour!! Yes, you can off the bike and take pictures!!!
What time of day is the best time to go?
In the morning so you beat the crowds there and heading to lunch spots after.
