What can I say for this place other than Kujira is THE place for Ramen at Fort Collins. Came here in the middle of blizzard during Bronco game and did not disappoint. They serve authentic style dish. I got mine medium level although I think I can handle spicy next time . They food came out piping hot (as it should), quick and choices of drink and menu is excellent. I had Spicy Beef Ramen and green tea. Friendly service and casual ambiance .

We were all pleasantly surprised with positive experience at Kujira. Our group was relatively large and they took good care of us. One of us found an egg missing from his ramen and ended up getting two - that, in my book, is righting the wrongs! Besides ramen, we also tried the fried rice and it was my favorite dish of the night. Very flavorful (even more so than the ramen if I do get to say so!) I ordered it with kobe beef. The Pepper Tuna Tataki appetizer was ok, if you like crispy edges and lots of peppers. Half of the group had the most fun sharing a plate of Fried Shishito and see who got hit more than every-1-in-10. That said, the peppers are blistered to perfection, and even if you missed out on the heat, they serve the pepper doused in spicy seasoning so you are bound to get some kick no matter what. I would recommend this place for anyone coming to Ft. Collins.

Best ramen in Colorado and the prices are relatively good for ramen. I grew up in Hawaii so I've been around a lot of ramen and hard to find good ramen in Colorado

My boyfriend and I went to Kujira after seeing many positive reviews and it did not disappoint! The ramen was delicious and had plenty to take home the next day. The pork belly bao buns were delicious and the highlight of my meal! The edamame was not easy to eat, might not have been steamed enough. The only negative was that the service was not great, our server was very short and not very friendly. Hopefully the next time we go, we get a different server.

In the area for an appointment I was looking for a place to grab lunch with my friend and this was it. Located in a small shopping plaza, the parking can be a bit weird but there's plenty of spots. No reservation is needed. When my friend and I walked in, we were immediately greeted and walked to our table. I loved the spacious dining room setting. Our waitress promptly took our order. We both settled on the spicy pork tonkotsu ramen. For an appetizer, I highly recommend ordering the soup dumplings. They are made fresh to order and are absolutely amazing. The ramen was very easy on the eyes. The tender pork, perfectly jammy egg, and rich broth were a real crowd pleaser. After a full belly, we were ready to head home. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. The food is amazing and the staff wonderful. I will definitely be back!

This is the most authentic Japanese food I have had in Colorado and honestly of most Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. The crab buns are to die for. The service is always efficient and professional, and it's a very quaint restaurant. Feels like an intimate ramen bar straight out of Japan. I have been here several times and look forward to going more.

Rating again after going in to eat in person. This is worth the extra stop for so many reasons - they have an upcharge on their online ordering, whereas if you go in, you're paying at least $2 less per entree based on what we saw. We were sat immediately in the cozy round dining room that was pretty full considering if was 2:30pm, and our server brought us waters and asked for our drink orders and food orders at the same time. We each got a beer and asked for a minute while we looked through the menu. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll, chili pork ramen mild and spicy chicken ramen mild. The food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious and full of rich, hearty flavor! I have a good heat tolerance and was still happy I went with mild since it still had quite a kick. We each had plenty leftover for at least two more meals each. The shrimp tempura was crispy and fresh, and our beers were nice and cold out of the bottle. They definitely try to rush you out once you're done, but overall, we had a fantastic time when it came to the food and the (incredibly speedy) service.

What a great find last night in Ft Collins...I was really in the mood for Ramen and so was apparently everyone else. Great little spot and looked fairly small walking up but once inside this place really opens up. Great modern vibe to the place. Service was over the top and the people who work here are so nice and friendly. For food I started with the chicken karaje with spicy mayo this was so good! For main course I have the spicy beef shoyu ramen with added pork belly. This ramen was a 5 out of 5. The pork belly was one of the better I have ever had. Perfectly spicy and the flavors were out of this world. I would highly recommend eating here whether local or just passing through. I know I will for sure be back.

Ramen, Broth, and chicken were all outstanding. The sprouts were crunchy and fresh, which I loved with this soup. The hot sake.... Never had a bad one before. Service was outstanding as well. If I were rating it just on these factors, then it's a no brainer 5/5. However, there were two parts that made me rethink my 5/5 and downgrade to a 4/5. The egg in the soup was completely cold and the egg white portion of the egg was kind of liquified and floating in the broth a bit. It made me think maybe they took it out of the fridge and just dropped it in there. The yolk was completely cold when I ate into it and I've never experienced that before. Next, the pork buns. It had some flavor, but not a lot. The bun itself lacked some sugary residues I'm used to and the pork itself didn't have a lot of sauce or flavor on it. So, While I enjoyed the texture and tenderness, it just didn't have the flavor I'm used to tasting. That's really all. The price was in the right place for the entire meal and the food overall was really good. I'd go back again and then just ask for a freshly boiled egg, and any sauces they have for the buns.

Pretty solid chicken katsu. A big portion and it tasted pretty good. Also I appreciated the side crab salad. The ramen was pretty tasty as well. I would've liked more char siu that was less tough and was thicker but overall not bad. Miso soup tofu tasted kinda off

Her recommendations to try anything here are spot on. The food was A1. We had a soup bowl Koi-sho (sp?) with beef, a chicken Thai basil stir fry, crab cheese, and spring rolls. We only regret we can't return in the near future, because we don't live in Colorado. It was completely worth the trip across town from our hotel to enjoy authentic food. The ingredients were fresh, the sauces were put together with expertise, the presentation was just right. I thought the spice level of 1 was perfect--heat that didn't overwhelm the other flavors. My husband didn't complain about his level 2. He thought it was great, but he wouldn't go higher. The restaurant itself is basic tables and chairs, but each table has a beautiful live flower rooting in water. Everything looked and felt clean.

Anyway, somewhere I'd heard relatively good things, so I stopped in for take-out when I found myself on this side of town. It was well into the dinner hour but the place was relatively empty - just a couple of people at one table. In retrospect, I should have taken this as a sign. I ordered one of my go-to dishes - pad see ew - and decided to try the fried tofu as an appetizer. I am struggling to find anything positive to say, so I'll just give it to you straight. The pad see ew had barely any broccoli, which to me is essential to the dish. I ordered it with beef - they used steak, but it was cut into tiny pieces and tough - cooked too fast and too well done most likely. The tofu was deep fried hard - as in there was a really hard crust - and it was packaged with absolutely no garnish, just the hard blocks of tofu and a container of sauce. I'm not sure if they've recently changed ownership or if I caught them on a bad day - it just seems weird to me that my experience was so contrary to all of the other reviews. I may give them another chance, but I can't say that I'm going to hurry back.

We were welcomed and seated. The service staff was attentive and with the open concept kitchen, one could see the kitchen staff was hustling making all the wonderful food. I had water to drink on this occasion, but my friends enjoyed cocktails and beer. As a table we shared the Brussels Sprouts Tempura. I liked this preparation. The tempura was a crispy coating on the yummy sprouts. One of my favorite vegetables. For dinner, I chose the Wonton Chicken Ramen. The broth was flavorful. It had chicken wontons, spinach, green onions and thin noodles. Two of our party had a good portion left to take home. Jinya has a nice option of purchasing an additional portion of noodles to go with your leftovers. I thought that was a cool touch. With a crowd, it is loud in the restaurant so it was difficult to hear the conversation at our table. That was my only caveat for the evening. Overall good experience.
