As good it gets in this town in terms of Topokki. All of their street food items I've tried were good. The lunch box has soondae, tempura, and kimbap alongside the topokki, great deal and you get an assortment of food so your search for different texture never gets old. The topokki ties it all together since you can dip any item in the sauce and it works! Great place to stop by for a quick bite, or take some items to go!

Great spot if you're craving Korean street food, particularly duk bokki ("topokki"), which is rice cake in a spicy red sauce. I ended up getting a combo set - but after reading the reviews, looks like I should've gotten the "Rose Topokki" - next time for sure! The lady at the front was very nice. ALONE SET - $15.99 Not a fan of the combo name, lol - but fitting since I came by myself. The combo included topokki (dduk and fish cake), skewer of fish cake w/ broth (tasty broth!), 2 fried sweet potato, 2 fried squid, 2 fried seaweed roll w/ japchae filling, and 2 fried mandu w/ japchae filling, The fried foods were very crunchy. If you want to try a little of this & that - this is a good one to get. FYI they're located next to Scissorhands hair salon.

Favorite for rose tteokbokki!! So delicious and creamy. I got the set for two people which comes with Kimbap, some tempura, and 2 fish cake soups. A little pricey but it's not bad for everything you get and flavors. Lots of parking space and nice and clean inside. Service was nice and straightforward. They were helpful and brought me my food quickly. I'd come here easily again

The rosé topokki... You MUST get the rosé version when you're here. It's seriously sooo good. My friend was eating this like crack. And it goes well as a dipping sauce too! Plus, it's apparently the thing in Korea. The other items we shared were also tasty like the ramen with all its flavors. The kimbap, fish cake skewers, and rice bowl were of typical quality. The basket of fried pieces of squid, seaweed rolls, shrimp, and other things had a good variety to try. Although this place looks casual, they try to make it fancy by bringing the food to you and clearing the tables. Around dinner time, this little spot can get filled. Kukga Topokki is a solid spot for Korean sweet food. And of course a great place for rosé topokki. Korean food to me could be just okay at times. Some restaurants are even undistinguishable from another. Kukga Topokki does it well somehow, perhaps offering the rosé topokki. Seriously, at this point if you're tired of me mentioning it. It being rosé. Get it. It's good.

I haven't found a better rosé topokki yet. It's buttery, cheesy, smooth, and creamy. If you dip a homeless man's finger in it, I will still probably lick it off. I've had dreams about that sauce from time to time. The other stuff was decent quality too. I can't remember much of it honestly. The kimbap, fish cake skewers, and rice bowl were good but the topokki kills. I like the casual look of this place too. Would I come here again? Yes, just for that topokki. It's worth the drive.

Really enjoyed my meal here! The prices are solid and the food is good! I loved the rose tteokbokki from here, the sauce was on the thicker side and mild in spice. The kimbap met my expectations and did not disappoint. I would definitely come back here and recommend to anyone crazing some Korean street food!

I am pleased to write a review for this restaurant. The owner is very kind that makes customers happy before eating. She wanted us to avoid paying the tip. However, you need to get your water, spoon, and chopsticks yourself. Of course, you should also clean up after yourself. All food is served in disposable bowls/dishes. The price was reasonable and tasty. Also, the owner gave us, as the first guest, mixed fries for free. Ramen is like a Budae-jjigae (Korean: 부대찌개; lit. army base stew). If you don't like spam or ham, ask the owner if you don't want them in your Ramen. Fish Cake Skewer soup was delicious. I recommend this restaurant if you're looking for Korean-style street foods in Atlanta.

A coworker of mine is who introduce me to this place, I am so glad she did. I order the for 2 meal set. It was more then enough. The meal included a 10 kimbap pieces, Tteokbokki, Assorted fried items, 2 fish cake soup. Tteokbokki was amazing, not to spicy, it was just perfect !!! all the food item complemented each other so well. this is a great place for date night or even a family dinner. service is pretty much self serve. That is the best.

Absolutely the best tteoppoki I've ever had in my life! The texture is the perfect amount of chewy and bouncy. The rice cakes hold on to the sauce super well too. I love the rose flavor, it's just the right balance of creamy and spicy, which is great for me since I can't really handle spicy foods. I also like how you can order sets to share with others. I like to add noodles to my tteoppoki and customize the sets with upgrades for different types of kimbap as well. It's a small shop, but I love the homey and cozy atmosphere. The owners are super kind, welcoming, and inviting. Would definitely recommend this to everyone!!!

Came here Monday night to try this place out since it just opened up and heard it was a chain in Korea. FOOD: Original Topokki + boiled egg ($9.99 + $1) - Their topokki is the soupy kind where the sauce is more watery, rather than thick. The taste was flavorful, a little bit sweet with a spicy kick at the end, but felt under seasoned since we ate it with chopsticks. I would suggest eating it with a spoon so you get the rice cake with the sauce. There are 2 flavors, original and spicy. I've been told the original is spicy and the spicy one is VERY spicy. They ask if you want to add a boiled egg to the topokki. We decided to add it but didn't realize it was an extra $1 for each one. Small Mixed fries ($7.99) - It's basically a small sample platter of all the fried foods. It includes 1 fried shrimp, 1 fried sweet potato, 1 fried squid, 1 fried mandu (dumpling), and 1 fried seaweed roll (glass noodles wrapped in seaweed and fried) already cut up. I highly recommend dipping it in the sauce to balance out the oily taste of the fried foods. SERVICE: You order in the front and then find a seat. They serve to your table when the food comes out, but cups, plates, sauces, and napkins are all self-serve. From what we overheard, it seems like they are planning on keeping their limited menu while they get adjusted and will expand it as they get settled in. Overall, I recommend trying it out if you like the soupy kind of topokki or you want spicy topokki.

shall i compare thee to a summer's day? this is the BEST tteokbokki place around. and i've had a ton of tteokbokki- including authentic tteokbokki in korea. not only is the tteokbokki hot and spicy but all the other foods are SO GOOD as well. this food tastes just like the street market food in korea. i highly recommend the set! we come here a lot and it always just hits different.

Great service at the front! They ran out of the one of the rice triangle but they were able to make some fresh on spot, which was amazing. We had Tuna Kimbap, Fish Cake 오텡 꼬치, Spicy Squid Kimbap and Tonkatsu Lunch Box. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing.

My partner and I came in around roughly 9:50-10pm. When we arrived we're were initially informed that we had to order soon because they were closing in 30 minutes and were understandings of that. Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. Mind you the restaurant closed within 20 minutes at this point. When our food did come out, it did contain PORK!!! We just left shortly afterwards and left the food on the table.

I was absolutely obsessed with the smell of this restaurant before I even went in! I appreciated them, giving us two grills, and the staff actually cook the meat for you. I wish I was sitting more towards the left grill because whoever cooked the pork belly on that side made sure the flame was hot enough and it cooked the pork thoroughly while also making it crispy on the outside. In front of me, the griller did not make the heat high enough so it took a while for the pork to be fully cooked. She told us it was done and it was still kind of chewy so I kept swapping back-and-forth from the left grill onto this one. That's the only reason why I gave it a four instead of a five out of five was because I did not like the way they cooked part of our pork. It was so chewy the fat was not cooked at all, but it was an easy fix. I just had to cook it longer on the other grill but again we shared two grills between eight people so 1/2 of our group got to eat more than us. I like how the pork doesn't have a really strong, pork smell, and it tasted very good like it was seasoned properly. I absolutely love the kimchi! I love how this restaurant stays open pretty late so we can enjoy eating and drinking. It's such a nice casual place to hang out. For dessert, we had kimchi fried rice haha. It was such a great night!

This time, I brought my friend who has never had Korean bbq before for her to try. We went right when it opened so it was quiet. I told the server it was her first time and he was eager to explain everything to her. I don't think she was prepared at all what was about to grace our table He brought out a cart full of side dishes and start to explain what each one is along with the flavor profile. When he got to the scallion salad, she was just not loving it, but he told her to at least try and see what she thinks (don't knock it til you try it!) Then he said they're still getting the charcoal ready so it'll be a few more minutes and my friend's eyes just (like what?) So we start with trying a bite of all the sides. She enjoyed everything except the sliced onion salad. Surprisingly, she loved everything else, including the scallion salad! She's a texture eater, so I was weary of her trying the tofu, but she really enjoyed that too! So... the charcoal comes out, and she's just Then the server brings the grill with the cheesy corn, spicy bean sprout, and he poured in the eggs. Followed by the meats! Since she didn't really know what she likes, I made a few suggestions and the server suggests letting him bring us the most popular items first and we can work our way through the menu. What a great idea!! Started with brisket and ribeye and wow ... meats were fresh, paired with the sides, and the dipping sauces, it's just chef's kiss!! We then had bulgogi and pork belly and those were just bursting with flavor! The cheesy corn was good but burned too fast on the grill, the spicy bean sprouts are amazing, and the steam egg is my favorite . The only downside is that if you don't eat those sides that are cooking on the grill right away they'll turn dry and burned and it won't be as good. The cheesy corn also caused some splattering to our hands when we were cooking the meats. The server apologized for the oil splattering since he heard the squeal immediately soak up the oil from the cheesy corn so the splattering would stop. Overall, my friend gave it 10/10!!!
