I heard Bogle Bogle changed ownership and you can definitely tell in the best way. We came a couple of times when they first opened in this plaza and then didn't return for a while. Recently, we decided to give it another try (twice!) with friends, and wow- what a difference. The food was delicious, and the portions were surprisingly generous across the board, which I always appreciate. It feels like great value for what you're getting. The menu is extensive which is perfect for groups or if you want some variety since there's truly something for everyone. They offer a solid lineup of traditional Korean soups and stews, along with Korean fried chicken, kimbap, tteokbokki, and more. And if you're a banchan lover like me, you'll be very happy here. The variety is excellent, and every side dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The open dining area is roomy and comfortable, and they also have private rooms if you're looking for a more intimate meal or dining with a group. Bogle Bogle has boiled themselves into oblivion. I would not recommend anyone to come here. The service was one of the worst I've ever experienced. The servers here are extremely rude and they kept trying to rush us despite having no other customers. One of the servers lied to us saying they close at 9:30pm on a Saturday night even though the other server told us it was 10pm when they close. Do not waste your time or money at this establishment, they won't even give you time to finish your food or respect as a customer. read more

This place is great for affordable Korean food! Their rice cakes are delicious and they nicely accommodate for vegetarians. The kimpbap is always a go to here and if you don't see it on the menu, ask them. The tofu soup was okay, it lacked flavor and I would not recommend. The service was great and fairly quick. Good place for Korean food in Georgia. For party of around 6, they have individual rooms/booth so you kind of have your own space. We've been to Seoul once in 2017, I must say taste wise, the food is pretty authentic. My brother who brought us here said middle age Koreans would come after they play golf which is a testament of the authenticity of this place. The portion is generous and the price was more than reasonable. The check came out to be around $70 for all that food. My favorite was the seafood pancake. The kids like the tonkatshu. Definitely declined in quality here. I came here 2 times since my last review when I was pretty happy with my experience. Good thing is their kimchi is still fantastic. Bad thing is their service was absolutely nonexistent. We didn't get checked on or served at all. To order, we had to get up and find a staff after waiting a long time. I see other reviews mentioning something similar, so expect basically no service at all. Another pro is that this place is open late, well later than most other restaurants in this area. But menu and tables were sticky. The food (I got tofu soup the last two times) is fine! But Jang su Jang in the Duluth area is far better. There's likely more of a wait there though. You can get seated at Bogle Bogle immediately. I just wanted to write an updated review because I didn't want my initial review to mislead anyone. Wow! great spot! this place has been near my parents for a while and I decided to give it a try one day for lunch. Staff was great and when I asked about a few dishes they explained what type each one was and made recommendations based off the few items I had my eye on. I only had food from them twice. My review is based on two takeouts only a week apart. I ordered the same items on both "visits", yet the food was vastly different. The seafood sundobu was flavorful first time around, but it was boiled down and extremely salty. I mean inedible salty! The LA Gahlbi was juicy and, we enjoyed the marinated flavor from the first takeout. The second time, however, it was very bland - no marinade taste. Not sure it makes any difference that the first takeout was from 3rd party food delivery service and the second was a regular takeout. I do love they give banchan, especially the fish, even on takeouts, though. I give 5 for the first and 3 for the second. Averaging the 2 visit, I'm giving it 4 star. Friends visited from LA and requested to have authentic Korean food. We ordered many different dishes to go. Ordered and pick up in 30mins! Seafood pancakes, kimchi pancakes, fried dumplings (4), steamed dumplings (6), seafood pulled noodles, tofu soup with LA Galbi, Wings! lemon peppers, and garlic wings. they are great options for kids. Probably one of the best hidden gems for Korean fare in the greater metro Atlanta area!!!! I needed some food after my workout and was always curious about this place after passing by it a few times but I had to check it out since I was in the area. I Yelped their menu and saw that it had some decent variety, some pretty legit street food fare and the fact that it's Korean street food, I had to try it! They have almost everything one could get out of Korean street food from spicy rice cakes to fishcake skewers to kimbap to the naengmyun and even some of the stews they offer are all legit what you would find on the streets of Seoul or Daejun or Pusan!!!! The interior is pretty kitschy to be honest with a Greek styled archways of rooms that holds private parties of 7 or more while the dining area is open and spacious. It is definitely a spot to literally bring a group of friends to go eat some legit Korean street food~ I opted for the intestine silken tofu stew spicy. I will admit that spicy isn't spicy at all but the flavor was all there regardless (they serve you a raw egg to plop into your stew!!!!!!! HECK YES!!!!) And I also opted for the beef bulgogi kimbap which are pretty huge. The portions are plentiful and they serve a generous plethora of banchan as well!!! Everything was delicious, the experience was great and needless to say, this place is worth going back to try everything on the menu! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! The namesake and why? We had such a great experience, we came back, this time getting the Tonkatsu, hot stone mixed rice, and sujebi. The portion size of the Tonkatsu was tremendous. I don't know if anyone can finish it in one sitting, we certainly couldn't. If you look at the picture, there are two full pattys. I was a little underwhelmed by the taste, though the tonkatsu sauce was unique and pretty good. There are mystery chunks in the sauce, which sounds weird but is quite tasty. The Hot Stone rice with seafood (Dolsot bibimbap) comes in a wide bowl, making it easy to make the rice crunchy. I was confused as to why I didn't get an egg, but I guess it was because it was the seafood version. Disappointed - always add the egg in my opinion. It was delicious besides that. The Sujebi (like flour dumplings) was great, again a huge portion so we took a good amount home. The service was quite spotty this time, taking a long time, forgetting to get me ice water when I asked for it, etc. Still, I really like the decor and the food. Bogle Bogle is a Korean tofu house restaurant that opened in the newly constructed plaza, the same one that houses Airang KBBQ and Divine Coffee shop. They are located in suburban Suwanee on McGinnis Ferry road so it's kind of out the way for a few people, but it is in an area with a lot of homes and businesses. The interior of Bogle Bogle has a very ancient Egypt/Hellenistic Greek inspired interior design. There are individual seating rooms that seat up to about 4 people that align the sides of the restaurants. The center of the restaurant houses the individual tables. The interior is spacious and can house a decent amount of people if needed. The menu is mostly based on Korean tofu and noodle dishes. There are also other options like rice sticks, chicken wings, gimbab, and dumplings to name a few as well. You definitely need more than one visit if you want to try out this diverse menu. Whatever you end up ordering, all dishes come with Korea kimchi based starter small dishes. I've been here a few times and I have only ordered the Beef Tofu Soup dish and also the Pork Ramen (Korean style). Both dishes have rich broths and can be a bit spicy too. Similar to other dishes I have had at other Korean tofu house so nothing to out of the ordinary. All the dishes I've had were good in my opinion, not mind blowing, but still good enough that I would order it again. From a service perspective, no real complaints. They come and check in on you every now and then, but nothing too invasive. Overall, it's a nice a spot, that might be out the way for some people, but it's definitely worth checking out in my opinion. I have try many places of tofu house, and this place is ridiculously insult! We went trying this place out to see if this is our new place togo because we alway go Duluth. As tip or gratitude is a satisfied of the service not a must! The service was ok, a d the food is very slow. As we paying in cash and in tip as satisfying . The lady came back with the attitude and asked this how much you tip. We think it is 5% or 10% on a service with tax that would be fine. I have eaten here a few times now, and I can say that the food is good here. I know some people have issues with the service, but I am going to explain why the service is the way it is at many Korean restaurants. You will not find a server popping in every few minutes to see if you need anything. You won't get a manager coming by to ask you how your food is. They only will come and ask if you need anything if you flag someone down. That's the way it works with most Korean places. If you look at many similar restaurants, you'll see a buzzer or doorbell type button on tables or near each one. This is to push if you need a server for anything. They don't want to bother you. If you need water, flag someone down. Many restaurants are short staffed- this Korean one can struggle at times because one minute there is nobody there, and the next every table is full. I was there tonight with my parents and Uncle/Aunt, and it was quiet when we showed up, within 30 minutes there was at least 8-10 more parties. We ate our food, some banchon was out so no refills on that...but again- you just can't prepare for service these days because who knows what a Monday night will bring? I only know one server's name- Stella. She has been there every single time I have been there with family or friends. Good service, polite, friendly, and attentive. This is the closest Korean restaurant to Cumming/Suwanee that serves more traditional food, and not "fluffed" and gussied up stuff you'll pay double the price for. WIth inflation the pricing is changing, but that's life. Please continue to support small owned businesses, and especially this one. Bogle Bogle has been open for a while now, but it's actually my first time visiting here - I've heard that the owner recently changed to the former Ahyang owner, so I knew that the donkatsu here will be good. On this visit, we ordered the donkatsu with fried rice and the tuna kimchi kimbap. The banchans were standard and it was pretty good -- my friend ordered the food before I got there so the food came out as soon as I arrived, with was a pleasant surprise. The donkatsu was almost identical to the one I had at Ahyang -- the size definitely got smaller than what it used to be but it was still plentiful portions. I also like how you can customize to get fried rice instead of white rice. One thing that was a little lackluster was that the donkatsu was fried a little too much and the meat was a little tough. The tuna kimchi kimbap was actually really good, and I think I liked it better than the donkatsu. The blend of tuna and kimchi was perfect and it didn't make the kimbap taste too heavy. Other than that, everything was pretty good -- our servers were attentive and the space is spacious so there is plenty of seating. I will come back and hopefully be able to have a better donkatsu experience next time, but knowing that it's the previous Ahyang former now, I'm sure this place will prosper! read more

Bogle Bogle Tofu and Noodle restaurant was a must visit during my last trip to Atlanta. It is my goal to try every restaurant that offers Sujaebi on their menu. Before I get into the most important part, which is the food--- please note that the service here is painfully horrific. I'm really not the type of person to complain about service at all, which you can see from my reviews, but I feel it is my obligation to forewarn you before you take my advice and eat here what to expect. There are 9 private rooms that line the main dining area. Inside the center portion of the dining hall there are about 8 moveable tables to fit small and large parties. The private rooms do not need a reservation and are available if you are willing to wait. Service is bad at all tables, even private, they do not discriminate. Was here during busy lunchtime on a weekend, there were only 12 full tables, 3 waitresses, and 2 table bussers. You would think that would be enough help. You arrive and sit for an exceedingly long time before you are given your menu and expected to order as soon as the menu is handed to you. Food comes fast after that long wait. There are no refills on banchan, good luck with that. The part that takes the longest is actually getting the check. Customers just start walking up to the waitress while they are helping other tables to hand them money because it was taking so long. I stood by the cash wrap with my credit card in hand for over 10 minutes. If I knew how to use the system, I would have just found my order and swiped the card myself. It is all very odd. However, the food is amazing! The portions are huge and flavorful, and prices are decent. The noodles were just as wonderful as I was hoping for, fresh and toothsome. Everything, including the non-refillable banchan was also addictively tasty with the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Ask for refills and you shall not receive. There is a banchan lady at the main counter, next time I will just be rude and ask her directly for refills and bypass the waitress. The kalguksu udon style noodles were perfect and the yukgaejang was full of beef. read more

They specialize in tofu stew so the bulk of the review is based on that. The price is $10.99 for most, which is $1 more than other places but it's Johns Creek so I can live with that. The portion is the same as other tofu places except here you get the individual metal bowl rice. We also got a kimbap and tokbokgi (~$8 each). Both were good and came with a good amount of good. The sides were pretty good as well and tasted fresh. They seem to have a decent menu for the more simple Korean dishes. If you want K BBQ and more complex dishes, go to Arirang K (they're owned by the same person). The interior looks like more traditional than modern but they added some modern elements. It can seat about 40 or so and it's well maintained. The service was friendly although no one greeted us at the door. Since they're a few months young, we'll let them work out the service kinks. Since it's the same owner as Arirang K so I expect them to get their flow of operation going sooner than later. Overall, it's a good addition to the Korean restaurant monopoly on McGinnis Ferry. read more

Overall, Bogle Bogle is a pretty good restaurant! My favorite part about it is that it has many private rooms for families or friends to gather together. The decor is all very great and feels like you've been transported to a different city. The food has a lot of options, but for some reason, every time we go, we can't really think of what to order because they don't focus on a specialty. We usually get the seafood pancake, soondubu, and grilled fish. This was my first time here today and long story short, it will be my last. First off, let me tell you the things we ordered. 3x Kimbaps (Tonkatsu, Bulgogi, Aged Kimchi Tuna) - 4/5 on all of them. maybe even a 4.5/5 on the aged kimchi tuna 2x Chadol Ddukbokki - 2.5. mediocre, seemed rushed. 2x Fried Seaweed Rolls - 3.5/5. can you really mess this one up though.. 1x Fried Chicken - 2.5/5. the fried breading on the chicken was messy and just mediocre overall. 1x 15 pc Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings - 4/5 honestly pretty decent. It all started smoothly. The banchan came out and they were fantastic. Actually, really really good banchan. Then the kimbaps came out and they were warm and actually really good, my favorite being the aged kimchi tuna one. Then the fried seaweed rolls came out and we were enjoying the food when we thought the chadol ddukbokki came out. We at first thought, "dang, that is a lot of chadol (beef brisket) for ddukbokki AND for the 14.99 price point.." but we weren't gonna complain that it was lot of food, right? Well, they had gotten our order wrong. And when we asked them if it was the right order, they said no, you asked for green onion chadol dish. When we said we ordered the ddukbokki, they went back and checked and continued to insist that THIS is what we ordered, not the ddukbokki. This same thing repeated twice with a server and then a manager came over to speak to us about it too. They even tried to convince us to eat the green onion chadol dish, which was a whopping 35~ dollar plate. Not. A. Single. Time. Were. We. Apologized. To. Can you believe it? We continually had to remind them for side refills and water refills. We finally got our water refills from a Hispanic lady working there, and for the side refills, they got us one set of refill for a table of 7. This wasn't the worst part. The food just started to trickle out. As in, we got our ddukbokki almost 15 minutes after we told them the right order. Then about 10 minutes later, we got our Lemon Pepper Wings, and then almost another 20 minutes later, we finally got our fried chicken. We were there for almost an hour and a half before we got all our food. We had to ask for side sauce for the fried chicken twice and finally, they brought us a thing of sauce that quite literally felt like it just came straight out of the walk-in freezer, because it was near freezing point cold. We were there for nearly 1.5 hours. Felt like a freaking course meal at a 5-star restaurant, except the food was not. We get it. It got busy and you made a mistake. It happens, I've worked in a korean bbq restaurant for 5+ years now for crying out loud. But isn't apologizing the first thing you should do to someone? Not try to convince them to eat the food that they mistakenly brought out or worse, convince the customer that THEY made the mistake in ordering? It's almost as if they were disappointed that they weren't going to make the money they thought they should've off of us because it was a 35 dollar dish compared to the 14.99 dollar dish we ordered. They also just came and plopped the food and left the table, as if to show us that they are displeased with us. The rest of the meal, the servers never came back to our table nor did they ask us if we needed anything. No worries, I'm not afraid to flag you down. This place's service is easily the one thing that brought it down from what could've been a 3.5~4 star review to a 1 star review. Get off your freaking high horses and learn how to serve properly if you want to start making tips off your customers. You can get better boonshik food elsewhere. Try BBMyun in Duluth. I visit this restaurant regularly. Good place to eat korean Street food and some tofu. I personally love their rolling dumplings, Gimbap, spicy noodle call jJjol Myun | and all GUKSU . Today I decide to try something different. I orders Sea weed & oyster GUKSU. Oysters are low in calories yet loaded with nutrients, including protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Only bad thing was a salty for me ( I pour some hot water, it was easy to solve the problem). I felt so much better after I ate. It was easy on stomach. I recommend this dish for who is little older need something light yet good ingredient and easy on the stomach. Not too many places have this item. That's why I want it to post it. To start off: service. This is one of those establishments that unfortunately, if you are not Korean, they overlook you. I arrived at the restaurant and was not acknowledged for 5+ minutes, however, a Korean man came about 5 minutes after me and was greeted immediately. It's unfortunate because I try to support the restaurants especially during these times, but c'est la vie. Now on to the food! The food here is good. Not the best Korean you will find, but you shouldn't be disappointed in the taste. The price is slightly high for what you receive in my opinion, but not over the top. I ordered the LA galbi, Grilled Brown Croaker Combo, and Spicy Chicken Stew to go. All of it was good; so good that I would be dreaming about it, no, but definitely not upset about my purchase. I am a little sad about not having side dishes with take out though. I'm not sure if I will try this place again, but it is definitely worth a try if you want to explore different restaurants. Bogle Bogle is a gem. This week while covid is running rampant, the owner kept the store open. Rather than taking orders, she provided free food for the community. Today they handed out 3 kimbap (rolls of seaweed, rice, eggs and vegetables) for each person who came in the door. Everything tasted fresh and great!
