We were greeted by Chef Bruce who really stole the show this afternoon. We ordered the Summer roll, fiesta roll, Philadelphia roll and the golden roll. Believe me, we were not disappointed. The portions the flavor and the presentation all went beyond our expectations. Customer service was also great. We will definitely be coming back to try more off their extensive menu. This is a very special place located in the city of Compton. I think it's the only one so far. Either way their food is delicious! You have many item to chose from lunch or dinner. Everyone there speaks both English and Japanese. It's a nice place to visit from time to time. I will truly come back when I'm craving something umami!!! read more

Ahhh sushi in Compton ??? It's a very small sushi house with the mom and pop feel. The owner is very kind and so is her father, my son enjoyed his meal and we didn't have to travel too far. I will be returning soon, I wish they AYCE! read more

I'D GIVE 10 FULL STARS. This place serves the freshest sushi & sashimi in SoCal region. Their food taste so good overall, and cannot compare to the other ordinary sushi restaurants in LA. I got to try their sushi, sashimi, and tempura at my first visit and absolutely fell in love. The host was so friendly and attentive and the place is very very clean and well decorated. What an amazing new restaurant here in the City of Compton. Pastor Arnie and I gave it a try and found it to be wonderful. The food is fresh and very good. I had teriyaki salmon and California rolls for lunch. The meal also came with miso soup, fresh green salad, a bowl of rice, tempura vegetables and shrimp. It was tasty to the last bite. Such a great place to bring your family! This is a family owned business and they are the sweetest ever! My kids love sushi and their favorite roll here is the crunch roll. There have even been times where my budget is super tight and my kids will beg me for those cool looking sodas where you have to pop the ball inside to open it; and Vivian has given my kids 2 sodas! I even got to try my 1st cool soda like that last time I visited because I asked Vivian what the white colored soda tasted like! They really listen and pay close attention to their customers as well! I usually get the Yokisaba and my family tries all the sushi; one day, I was surprised with something extra in my order; got some rolls where the seaweed was substituted for soy paper and instead of eel sauce, they used teriyaki sauce on a veggie roll and it was AMAZING! Okay. So I go to Compton college and I call them when I'm like four minutes away and order a roll over the phone, my order was ready within minutes of arriving. And again, I can't emphasize enough how good and fresh these rolls and ingredients are. I added soy sauce to my regular rainbow roll and immediately regretted it, the roll is so fresh this actually makes it worse. I came in on 11/13/19 around 7:30 PM. Normally, I am not much of a seafood person, but this place was amazing. Since it was a Wednesday, they had all day Happy Hour with most of the appetizers being offered for $5. My friend and I ordered 7 of them, and they were all packed with flavor. The one I liked the most was the Soft Shell Crab with this really good citrus sauce. The Tuna Tataki Wrap also had a great sauce that it was drenched in. We had two of their desserts, both served with green tea ice cream. The Banana Tempura was beyond good and the Tempura Ice Cream reminded me of a deep fried ice cream. The staff was very friendly and there to offer any questions with their wide selection of both cooked and raw menu. As it was my first time here and very tight on time, I stuck with some of the basics. Miso, hot tea, rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. The rolls are huge! Great for sharing and all made very well. This place is a must stop now when I'm at our office in South Gate and when I'm working the area. No longer am I stuck with the limited fast food and taqueria choices. I never expected to find such a great sushi restaurant in Compton of all places. The area surrounding the place was a little sketchy, especially when going at night. But once you go inside, the restaurant was so clean and vibrant. It really felt like I was transported to Japan. The staff was very warm and welcoming the moment you walk through the door. As for the food, it was delicious and well made. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chirashi Bowl, Bulgogi, and a couple of specialty rolls. The Chirashi Bowl was artfully presented and I loved how all the different flavors worked so well together. The quality is definitely there and the portions were perfect. Everything was also reasonably priced. We went here for an anniversary and have absolutely no regrets. I'm super disappointed with my order today. I always order the same things the last 2 times the food was great! But today the sushi rice was super off (texture/taste/consistency) and I could tell and even my kids to the point they didn't eat their food! I spent almost $100 on rolls and food (which included some delivery fees) but it just wasn't up to par and my kids barely touched their rolls. I ate mine because I wasn't about to waste my money. But for kids, even though they shouldn't waste food../it's like I can't even blame them because it just wasn't good! I've lived in Compton for 12 years and am frustrated how often I had to travel to other cities to find food. And then I found this little gem on Long Beach Blvd. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. But inside, it felt just like loads of other Japanese restaurants in cities around Los Angeles. What can I say about this place? For starters, it's beyond exciting to have sensational Sushi right here in Compton. I'm a big fan of their Mexican Roll. Just love it.
