Sushi & Teriyaki Plus is a great place to dine, have delivery or take away. It is an adorable. It is not large. Parking is easy and free. There really is nothing you will not like there. Personally, we consider the shrimp tempura to be the best. But they have a great menu and you will find something you want. We also love their seaweed salad and their fried rice. It is all just great. Their tuna sushi and their California roll are perfect. All the sushi is great and it is fresh. The service is ever so friendly and they are fast. You order at the counter and they will call you when it is ready. The place is just cute, not too big and not too small. The prices are fair. If you are in Downey this is a must stop. This spot had been recommended to me after I mentioned to my barber that I was looking for a "good place to eat ramen," He told me this place had a good "spicy ramen" so I thought, let's give it a try. Well, this place is the very definition of "mediocre" in every aspect. First off, when I say the ramen looked like they cracked open a 25¢ package of cheap ramen, that's not too far off from 100% accurate (see attached photo). And the traditional soft-boiled egg was replaced by an exceptionally hard-boiled egg instead. No such thing as "Tonkotsu" or "Hakata" as options. It's either Beef or Chicken Ramen...and it's almost TOO spicy! Not flavorful spicy, more like uncomfortably pungent spicy! Rounded out with a lackluster green tea (at $2.50 a cup) and you have the epitome of an average fast-food eatery. read more

The service was friendly and super quick. The parking lot here is small, so there is a chance you will need to find parking on the street. Quick update. We really loved the first visit. We. And back with my daughter and her boyfriend. Ordered sushi and several other items such as fried rice, chow mein, tempura, chicken and beef. I have to say that the so called "Chinese food" type dishes all disappointed drastically. Their chow mein and fried rice was blah.... like steamed rice with canned corn in it. WTH! The chow mein was top ramen at best. I will be back for things like sushi rolls. California rolls, baked salmon rolls, crunch rolls, other than that stay away from the Chinese food items.
