Cute, clean, little restaurant with an exuberant wall mural in town near at least two parking lots. The menu is limited. The miso black cod (lettuce wrap) was very good. My companion liked his pork ramen (but not the $6 charge for a small bottle of Coke). I had the miso veggie ramen. Only the noodles were hot. The broth tasted like a bowl of salt. The pros: great tasting sushi, incredible banana cake, tasty gin drink, and overall great flavors The cons: slow service, small portions, uneven serving of food (everything came at different times). Despite coming out over the course of 20+ minutes (some tables near us were taking even longer) the sushi rolls were actually very good! The vegan roll was a unique surprise! The banana cake was also incredible. The chef is doing great things, but it's just taking too long. The server said that they weren't expecting so many people without reservations, but the restaurant itself isn't that big (maybe 6 tables of 4?) so you should be prepared to serve that many people at a reasonable pace! read more

Really enjoyed Kumiso yesterday, as it is the perfect spot during a Noreaster to get some warm tea, Udon Noodles and Bang Bang Chicken. The place is nestled in a little alleyway so it was a lil hidden away, but it's been there for 2 years and they told me locals are still discovering the place. The food came out so fast, it must have been record speed. It was delicious, peanut filled, flavorful and fresh. Perfect with some green tea. Would highly recommend going back, friendly staff as well. read more

Wonderful service and a great space with great drinks, but the food was just okay. The servers were extremely kind and attentive. I ordered an arigato drink, the matcha soba salad (to share) and the special curry with chicken. My friend ordered the vegan gluten free ramen. The arigato drink was amazing. It had such a unique flavor and the yuzu really came through. The matcha soba salad advertised a matcha flavor in the soba noodles and a cilantro lime dressing - there was not a super strong matcha flavor and not much dressing - it was a bit of a bland dish. I was disappointed to pay $15 for such a small salad (pictured below). The curry was spicy with cauliflower, carrots, chicken, and rice. My friend and I switched dishes about midway through the meal. I found her vegan gf ramen had great broth, but the noodles did not have much flavor. Overall, the restaurant has great ideas for dishes, but it could add more flavor/spice to each of them. read more

We had lunch here on a Saturday. We both had Dim Sum, followed by Ramen and a pot of green tea. The food and the service were excellent. The soy sauce pourer and the sake cups were beautiful pieces of what looked like hand made pottery. I will go back next time I am in town. I just read that one reviewer commented on small portions. I really wanted to love this place, we're short on quick, casual dining in the neighborhood. Really nice room. Servers were trying very hard and knew the menu really well, but the energy was a little intense. Food was mixed. Bun was delicious, crudo was great, crispy rice with spicy tuna had great texture, but not much flavor, sushi roll had very high quality fish, but the presentation (and rice) were a little supermarket-esque. I'll probably try it again and see if we could have ordered better. read more

Fun addition to the East Hampton dining scene. The crispy rice dishes, small plates, kimchi grilled cheese, and salads were all excellent. Rolls and buns were fine but not standouts. Service was great and it's a cute spot. It's nothing mind-blowing but it's definitely worth a try. read more

A hot bowl of ramen with a flavorful broth and good ramen that was chewy and held up to the broth. A very nice meal. We have several different bowls and all were nice and had a good amount of noodles and broth and other assorted items. We also tried the katsu curry which was good. read more

The mushroom ramen could have used a bit more spice and and zing but was very fresh-tasting. Had to add soy sauce; the salt was missing from the broth. The service was polite if a bit awkward. It's a little noisy and the tables are set close together, but overall the ambiance was fine. My main complaint is the food. The ramen was just okay. While the broth was fine, the "poached egg" was just a hardboiled egg sliced in half, not at all worth the $2 upcharge. I realize it's East Hampton, but the prices are steep. $18 for a mediocre cocktail, $24 for so-so ramen. For that price and quality, I won't be returning. read more

not going back the service was awkward and confused not mean just no idea of what they were doing 2 separate orders on one plate entrees arriving seconds after our appetizers were served just silly the food was blah the best thing was the bun but one bun for 8$.... the salads had no flavor and I don't think I ever saw such a small seaweed salad before the ramen was just whatever ramen no body to it nothing to come back for I am sorry to say which is a shame because we desperately need restaurants in the Hamptons that are not pizza or burger or sushi read more
