Amazing food! (Not pictured are the best crab Rangoon's I've ever had). The place is a bit unassuming on the outside so you might not even notice it but it's a hidden gem... I think it's family owned because it's always the same staff but that makes it even better. Service is good, prices are good really nothing negative to say.

My husband and I popped in here for yet another sushi lunch since we were in the neighborhood. The restaurant was small, dark and low-key, without many patrons when we came in, but more entered as the lunch hour wore on. We both ordered the two rolls lunch, which comes with either miso soup or salad - we both got miso soup. We also got an order of gyoza as an appetizer to share. The gyoza was delicate and tasty, with a nice little sauce on the side. The miso soup was good and hot enough that we had to let it cool for a bit before eating it (after having been helpfully warned by the waitress). I ordered two salmon rolls, cut extra-small. The fish was fresh and smooth, just a little fishy but perfectly acceptable. My husband had spicy tuna and spicy salmon and he enjoyed it. Our bill came to about half what we spent at Ichiban in Greenwood a few days ago, so I thought it was reasonable. I like the ambiance of this restaurant, because it is dimly-lighted and low-key and never very busy. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a small shopping center that has several food options to compete with. So, for lunch, they offer a popular buffet with a wide variety of Japanese food/sushi to choose from. I'm not a buffet guy (no way to know how long food has been sitting there), so I asked for a menu when I entered. Note that the entry doesn't look to promising since there is an unused fish tank that is empty and needs cleaning/to be removed to make a better impression. Inside the restaruant, there is a single room for dining with the sushi prep area to the left, the checkout station on the near right and the buffet beyond that. The seating as mostly four top tables is in the middle. The lighting is on the dim side. For those selecting the buffet, they were free to help themselves once they let the server know. It did have a mix of appetizers, a few entrees, and some sushi options which I noticed were replenished during the lunch time. I started with a cup of green tea (individual cup) that was good, but because of the cup which did not have a handle, was hot to touch. I also got a house salad with ginger dressing that was good, but had WAY TOO MUCH dressing (see photo). If they would have scaled back the dressing, the salad would have been much better because the lettuce was fresh and crisp. I ordered two Salmon (Sake) Nigiri style for $2 each. The servings were large and fresh. Very good, though I settled on regular soy sauce. (I didn't see any low salt options sitting out.) I finished with the Crazy Dragon Roll which was really good. Nice balance of flavors with tempura shrimp on both ends that were nice and crispy. I asked the hostess/waitress if I paid her at the table or at the front desk and she said either was fine, so I simply headed up there to pay when I was finished. Good food, a well maintained buffet, and friendly service. Just need a few minor tweaks to make the experience even better. Review #3721

Depends on what you're looking for. We expected hibachi tables but there were none. That was actually fine because we just stopped by for lunch so didn't need the whole presentation. Atmosphere was really nice. Clear soup was a little blander than I've had before but still good. They have lunch servings at good prices. Had the steak hibachi. Overall good food and a good value. Can't do my normal margarita review because it they did not serve liquor (boo). They also have a nice selection of sushi and sashimi.

The food is absolutely amazing and doesn't take long at all to come out after ordering. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean and has nice lighting.

Very nice service and food. Good selection on the menu. I come in as often as I can and never leave hungry or let down.

    7. Soft Shell Crab

Ordered soft shell crab, but it tasted like rotten fish. No sweetness at all. My girlfriend could even smell the fishiness. For $24 I thought I'd get a decently cooked scallop, turns out it was the consistency of a rubber band ball that cats would play with. If Gordon Ramsey showed up here to save the joint, even he would walk out after 30 seconds in disgust. Too all my fellow Hoosiers, stay clear of this hole in the wall.

I have heard friends rave about Yokohama for years, but it always seemed so far and out of the way. Now I am kicking myself for waiting so long to go and it has ruined me for a lot of other 'sushi' places closer to home. Not convinced yet? Read on. The owner only uses the freshest fish that she used to drive hours to get almost daily to ensure it is the best cut and quality - and this shines through in the taste of her offerings. The downstairs space is cozy and intimate - but they do have the coolest 'party space' upstairs that you can rent/reserve complete with in-ground tables for an authentic experience. They will also set up karaoke up there if you ask! Back to the food. Our group ordered about 10 items - all of which were so good that I was super mad that I had waited so long to try Yokohama. We were fortunate to go with a friend that has been frequenting this gem for about 20 years - so he ordered for us - and this is the way to go! We had the Volcano, BMW, Fat House (SO unique), Indiana, Speedway, and Debbie rolls, Sake smoked salmon and super white Nigiri, the Gyoza app, and another seared tuna app that I cannot remember the name of - all DELISH! Of note, your GPS might take you to what appears to be an alley - don't worry - you're close! Yokohama is in a converted house space and the vibe is so comfy. If you get the back corner table near the fireplace, check for a hidden drawer under the table where you will find years worth of love notes tucked inside. Request 'the lover's table' to sit here! Pro tip: if it is not busy, ask if Debbie is available to tell you a joke or to show you a magic trick. You won't be disappointed.

They were pretty quick at getting my order ready as I did a highly recommended order online for pickup. There is also a small indoor dining area if you'd like. So now to the food .... I'd say I agree they REALLY need to have some sauce or flavoring. The chicken and beef had more pepper than sauce if that says anything and that was minimal. The chicken and the beef hibachi were good but I could fire this up at home and it would taste better than this honestly plain chicken breast and steak. The steak was low quality but I expected that for the awesome price . Very, VERY minimal veggies. The zucchini is very thinly sliced and I'd say it had 4 pieces chopped in quarters max on my plate. The togo container is the typical size of 1 big (rice area) and 2 small side areas (meat and veggies) if that tells you what to expect. The pricing is good though for what you get. Now the Chinese dish (general tso's) was excellently done. Plenty of sauce and plenty of meat so that's confusing when comparing to Japanese dishes. Unfortunately I'm gonna make some people upset with my honest review but it's a heads up on what you're getting. I'm just gonna stick with making these at home unless I want Chinese food

The broth was saltier than any broth I've ever had before but good flavor. The ginger dressing on the salad was a little strong as well. The crunchy roll was good but could have had more flavors and crunch. It's one of my favorites I've gotten other places so I feel like in comparison it could have had more of the crunchy topping and flavor/sauces drizzled on top. The hibachi was good too, not many veggies as most hibachi places serve. In fact, mine was mostly onion and slivers of carrots. I got one piece of broccoli. Even the fried rice was just corn and egg added. Maybe I'm wrong but most of the time they have carrots and peas too. It was good but I felt like even the show was less interactive than most. The meat is a little stringy, and the crab Rangoon--reportedly the second-most popular item on their menu--had very little filling, with underwhelming, overly-sweet flavoring and lacking any savory taste.
