Alright y'all...so I'm not an expert in food nor do I claim to be. BUT, considering I've eaten pho like 6x in the past week and also have bloating issues due to pho, there's just something with this pho that hits different. It's pretty great. Small (big) note though that it could be that my digestive issues resolving themselves so idk. Either way. The pho here is great. Smooth. Not as many GI issues I've faced considering my baseline with pho. Which is saying A LOT. I got the summer rolls too and they were also so amazing. If you like seafood, get them. The pho I got was the house special one. All of it reasonably priced in this day and age.... Place was clean when I entered. No problem there. A couple of minor details why it's lost a star. Only person in there was the girl working there. I'm pretty sure my food order was the only one there at the moment (to go through their site). With that said, minor detail I wasn't a fan of was I came in and said my name, and she was like did you order xyz and I was like yeah but I wasn't absolutely sure because their ordering menu could use a small subtitle of the dishes instead of their Vietnamese name (when you click on it, it tells you what it is in English verbiage but would rather simplify it than click on each one). Dude. Garbage. Been around and tried lots of good food. Tried it a few times to make sure I wasn't wrong. Constantly way substandard especially for the cost. Yesterday was last straw. Ordered nigiri and three rolls. Three yellowtail was definitely way fishy and spoiled. The eel nigiri didn't have any eel sauce and all was very dry and old. A true favorite place when fast food or regular dinner options seem blah. We frequent this establishment almost weekly or mb it's we think about how we should've gone to Roku ; ) ?!? Creatures of habits, we often order the same meals (sushi). Tonight we opted to try something completely different. Of course I asked goofy questions. Ridiculous questions too...Will I like this "brown" sauce? What's in it? Have you (server) tried it & like it too? Sure, I'm buying time as EVERYTHING is definitely yummy. We ordered: Dinosaur Eggs (spicy tuna), Spring Rolls, Wonton Soup, & Seafood (varied shellfish), & water. We shared this feast & didn't need a doggie bag. The decor was simple, cute and the restaurant was clean. The staff told us to seat ourselves since it wasn't too busy. The waitress was quiet but quick. I was craving sushi and wanted to go somewhere close, so I came here. I ordered gyoza with the 9-piece chef's choice that came with miso soup. I asked the waitress if it was 9 pieces of sashimi and she assured me it was, but in fact two of the pieces were cooked. The gyoza was deep-fried rather than pan-fried and came with a delicate sweet and sour type sauce that I've never been served with gyoza before, but it was good. The miso soup was nice with good chunks of tofu in it, not too big and not too small, and plenty of wakame. The sushi was adequate - the fish was not the absolute freshest but it was good enough and satisfied my sushi craving. If you told me I would have one of the best Phos of my life EVER in a smallish town south of Indianapolis I'd be pretty skeptical. But. That's what I got. Their spicy beef is really second to none. We come here a lot! The sushi specialty rolls are delicious! They even have great options in the all-you-can-eat Sushi if you're REALLY hungry! Their Pho portions are huge; definitely room to share or take home for another meal. The best bang for your buck! If you opt for the "All You Can Eat," you pay $26.99 and get to try all kinds of delicious sushi and sashimi. It's usually not too busy, though if you go during peak times parking can be a little dicey. (You can always park at the defunct Marsh two doors down and walk.) The ambiance inside is peaceful. I've given this restaurant 2 separate chances. 1st try ordered take out... crab fried rice, which was to contain lump crab meat. It came to me with ungodly amounts of imitation crab huge problem when you're Celiac. The Roku roll I ordered (fried roll) also came has a crab stick roll. Zero for 2 and nothing I could eat. Fast forward to today and decided to give the ayce a try with my Son. $23 each. We ordered 5 rolls, he got pho which he devoured, and I got fried rice which was fresh and had very good flavor. Due to the heaviness and size of the fried rolls we decided the fresh rolls were much more to our liking. This would mark the end of any positivity in our visit. I requested to view the ayce menu since it was not returned to our table and was abruptly met with, "we don't give the menu back until after you finish the sushi you've ordered!" Ummm, I'm an adult paying $23 each for ayce sushi and I'm being monitored and restricted like a child to clean my plate?? I was reluctantly handed the menu and hastily asked if there was anything we'd like to order. Yeah, no thanks. With the massiveness of the fried rolls, which tasted pretty good once 3/4 of the fried coating was removed, we were both done. Commence bill brought to table...2 ayce and a Boba. Then the 2nd reprimand of the afternoon... "you have more than 7 pieces left, we're you going to continue to eat more or should I charge you for another roll and you can take the rest home?" .... OMGawsh!! Charge me the freaking extra roll and let me get out of this nightmare!! $68 later my Son has the leftovers and we left all reminders of the clean your plate Era behind. I understand completely trying to combat food waste.... but WOW, being treated with such tactics as an adult is quite demeaning. Roku, what a fantastic addition to the Southside. I came here on a Tuesday Afternoon for lunch and it looks so nice inside with their decorations. The table has available sauces and the booth was so comfortable . I was welcomed by the host/waitress and she was very sweet with a warm smile. She promptly got my drink and took my order. The Pad Thai was plated beautifully, very warm and tasted even better than some similar Pad Thais I have ever had. It had a nice sweet touch to it, which I enjoyed. The Yellowtail Sushi was cut perfectly and the yellowtail was perfect temperature not too cold and not too warm. The wasabi had the perfect amount of heat and didn't taste fake like some Wasabi. Overall the whole experience was great and they have todays modern music playing which I enjoyed too! I recommend anyone to try out Roku, it is priced perfectly. For anyone used to Pad Thai you might want to add this new taste to your palate, they have a great rendition of Pad Thai. Only recommendation is have low sodium soy sauce as an option. read more

Decided to try this place out on Friday night. It's easy to get to and situated in a small strip mall in Bargersville. The restaurant is quiet and wasn't too busy for Friday. I had never been to Roku before and decided to go with a friend for dinner. When we showed up, we didn't expect it to be as busy as it was inside but it was pretty busy for a Monday night. The portion size was appropriate but I had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. The only concern I have is that they were shutting down the place 40 minutes before it was time to. I was worried we had over stayed the time but found out they had 40 minutes to go. We walked out 2 minutes after closing time and many employees of the restaurant walked out with us. This my first review. But had to do it. Found this little hotspot with the help of other yelp users. Did not disappoint. Left full, light on my feet yet happy. Our waitress visited us multiple times to check on us and ask if there was anything she could do which is always appreciated. They give you real chopsticks versus cheap wooden sticks. Which makes me feel they care about your experience more than other locations. Made me feel the experience was personal. We had the Yum roll and the Tropical roll. I have never had a roll with salmon, mango, avocado and eel sauce but wow. The flavors did not disappoint. The menu lets you know what's in the roll and what's a topping. Which is super cool!! Everything felt extremely fresh. More than our typical spots for sushi. Fujiyama is amazing, don't get me wrong, but this is just a different feel and i adored it. Just felt like something I'd make at home. If i could actually do it myself. Pricing is really good and we left with only spending thirty bucks. It's a little bit of a drive for us but the thirty minute drive was well worth it. I've been told the spicy beef pho is one of the best items on the menu and I'll have to try that out next time. I've never tried Vietnamese cuisine but this reataurant/sushi establishment has me curious and craving the next visit. If you love the spicy crab topping on your sushi you HAVE to try the crab salad as an appitizer. Amazing. The dumplings are homemade (it's easy tell once they arrive at your table) and you can really taste the difference. The sweet chili sauce isn't a sugary mess and is a great addition. Overall, we felt we have found a new go to and can't wait to try other items. We will be making the drive more often. I would love to see the business pick up because it would be a shame to see an establishment such as this go away due to the lack of word getting out there. You can't beat great service, good food and a great experience. On another note, I'm a bariatric patient and can't drink water while I'm eating and they even gave me a water to go so I could drink it on the way home. They didn't even question why I asked.
