The staff are all pretty nice. The buffet does lack in variety. What they do have is good. They have a good variety of chicken options. You will only find shrimp and imitation crabmeat during lunchtime. When it's dinner time some food is switched out. They offer a little seafood then. Mussels, crawfish, a few more shrimp options. They do have a sushi bar. I would say it's not for real sushi lovers. Most options if not all don't have any form of real seafood in them. I've have noticed the only time the sushi is fresh is right at lunch time. The salad bar selection is pretty good. Good variety of desserts. But it is a buffet and most desserts lack in flavor. They have a limited selection of ice cream. The place is pretty casual. It's a quick get in and eat your meal and leave kind of place. They do have to go option. Came here for dinner after a long day of meetings. The food was hot and amazingly fresh and tasty. The General Tso's chicken had a nice heat to it, but not overly hot. The sweet and sour soup was some of the best I have had in awhile. Large variety of food on the buffet with a nice mix of the regular standby offerings as well as some lower calorie offerings with vegetables and salmon. The wait service was excellent. We never had used plates on the table for more than a couple of minutes. I'd visit again the next time I'm in town. read more

Well let's start with the good part. I went on a Sunday for lunch. Dessert was good and each dish was served hot. Now to the ugh part. Every dish didn't look like it had any care when cooked. The taste was definitely missing something. My favorite Chinese take out has more love given to it. The sushi looked like it sat there for a while. I tried the hibachi where you get your own ingredients expecting you made something yummy but my first bite I spit it in my napkin. I didn't bother to just go with swallowing it. Seafood was plentiful but small in comparison. General Tai's and coconut shrimp were overdone and too much breading. Noodles were bland and small. Soup was basic and again lacked flavor. I wasn't feeling the Chinese food so went with American. What could go wrong right? Mac and cheese was cold and mashed potatoes definitely had the came out of a bag taste. Gravy did as well. I'd get new chefs. I'm not sure how this place gets amazing reviews. For me to come all the way to Plainfield I truly expected something much better. I won't be back. This is one of the few Chinese buffets I trust for service and food. Every time I ago I get seated quickly, get a drink fast, and servers are so attentive. Since COVID, for a long time they covered their food with vinyl curtains and servers put food on customers plate instead of customer helping themselves. I really appreciated how careful they were to protect everyone. I returned today and things were back to normal, and I enjoyed the food there. They have many items, but they never look like they have been sitting for a long time. They are fresh. That's why I like this place. Always amazing buffet! This place has something for everyone in your family. Several american dishes, a pizza (things littles will eat). Then massive expanse of chines food, a dedicated sushi area. They have all the soups, and any possible dessert. Best buffet around. The servers are always on drink watch and its usually refilled before you get back. The extra dish ware cleaned up. Servers are not able to keep their tips, not even the mongolian bbq cook is able to keep his... Sunday Sept.22 the owner and serves had a heated argument about the lady(asian) taking the other servers tips. The Indiana Code, specifically Section 22-2-9-1, states that tips are the property of the employee who receives them. Employers cannot retaining or distribute any part of the tips for themselves or for any purpose other than the benefit of the employees. I really like this place first time here. I can see why other reviews are not good. When I went, it was on a Sat. for lunch, and it was busy, so the food rotated with new hot food. I can see this place busy on Fri. Night, Sat. Lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch. If the parking lot is busy, then check out the restaurant. I would definitely go back on a Saturday. Very clean...our waitress was always picking up our plates and filling your drinks. When you arrive you are not sure what the price is for the buffet. They seat you and the waitress barely spoke English. She said drink we have coke products. You ask what diet is available and she says ok diet coke. I said no, then I asked about ice tea, sweet tea she said. No, I am asking if you have fresh brewed tea. She didn't understand. My friend finally said one sweet, one no sweet. They also have really good desserts and a cooler with 8 buckets of ice cream. They have a hibachi but no-one was there to cook. Just as we were leaving someone was there but I was full. So next time. Oh, by the way the ham was really good. They also had sweet and sour chicken it was plain and you add your sauce. Some items were really good and some chewy. They have fruit bar and salad bar. They have probably 25-30 different hot items including 3 different kinds of soup. At $10 a person, the all you can eat lunch buffet is pretty unbeatable! There's a nice variety of hibachi items, Asian dishes, sushi, and some American dishes as well. Although the food maybe wasn't as fresh or high quality as what you'd find at higher end restaurants, this restaurant is definitely worth giving a try. I left with an empty stomach. I only tried the Asian dishes and the salad bar. I didn't try the American food, sushi, or desserts. My husband had the Sushi and he said it was more like rice rolls than Sushi. Nothing I tried was good. Nothing. Even the custom hibachi Lo Mein was bad. He didn't scramble the egg, didn't use garlic, didn't make it spicy as requested, didn't use soy sauce, or finish it with sesame oil. The vegetables were not par-cooked and didn't get cooked on the grill. The salad dressings were not made in-house. They are definitely from a bottle. Everything was bland and disgustingly sweet. It's like their "secret recipe" just means adding corn syrup to everything like it is MSG. The desserts looked boring and purchased. The food is pretty good one of the better ones in Plainfield. My only issue is I found a glob of hair in my food and they disregarded it as oil. I did not touch my plate after I found it which was right after we had sat down to eat. They didn't offer to take off my portion off the bill (totally fine paying for what my husband ate and our drinks but I left a whole plate of food untouched). My husband and I didn't want to argue with them about it but once we got to the car decided we should go back and just talk to them and then he gave us $5 back.
