    Chicken Breast Teriyaki Bowl

Indy needs more Teriyaki places period! And I'm not sure when this opened but I am excited to have found a new chain. As I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff. I got a regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl to go. Since this was my first time I did not know what to expect but I loved it. It came with a lot of rice (I chose brown rice), and veggies. I liked how they seasoned the veggies- I almost want them as a separate order! Chicken was cooked to perfection. They put the teriyaki sauce on the side. It was even better with some sriracha sauce. It was a great lunch. I want to go back again. They need to open more locations. Highly recommended!

Wow, this place busy very busy on a Saturday night. They haven't been open long - since May 2025 and appear to be a chain. Everyone must be excited to have them on the south side of Indy because it was a 30 minute wait. Several different protein options as well as bowl sizes. You are also able to pick from white or brown rice or noodles. Bowls come with broccoli, zucchini, cabbage and carrots. The veggies are not mixed in with the rice, so be sure to give it a mix so the ratio is right! I had the katsu chicken which was really good! Very generous portions and enough for two meals. My husband got the spicy teriyaki chicken which he also enjoyed. He said it was quiet spicy, but his heat level tolerance isn't usually very high. We spent right around $20 for two regular sized bowls and they made two meals, so we thought it was a really good value as well.

I happen to see this place was going in a strip mall close to home so I followed their facebook page and got lucky to snag 2 spots for their soft opening today Everything is made fresh to order which ensures everything is piping hot when it comes out which is a huge plus when it comes to noodle type dishes. You can dine in, carryout, delivery or cater your meal. Order at the counter upon entering and You start by selection your protein and then your carb option or may choose no carb. When it says spicy they mean spicy for sure. But it's a good spice. Some options for protein are Chicken, steak, tofu and salmon Carb option 3 different rice styles and noodles. Everything is customizable to your liking Now for what we ordered Spicy chicken Yaki style which means they add the protein, noodles and veggies back into the wok which works well as it coats everything in the spicy sauce and mixes it up making it easier to eat. The chicken has a great grilled flavor the noodles are cooked perfectly and the veggies are tender but not overcooked. Spicy steak with noodles and veggies. The steak was tender however the pieces were large making it difficult to eat. It wasn't ordered Yaki style so noodles were on the bottom then veggies then steak on top so it's a little hard to get a bite of everything at once. The portions were huge and lots of meat. Can't wait to try the rice next time. Crab Rangoon is light and crispy and not great there wasn't a ton of filling but it balanced out with the shell part being so light. Chicken potstickers were fried crispy they were average nothing stood out that made them any better than others. Overall super excited to have this place on the south side and despite being a soft opening everyone was friendly and working as quick as possible to get your food out to you fast and accurate. It is a little loud in there right now as every table is full and people are standing around waiting on to go orders but I feel like that'll get better over time. Side note somehow the picture of the chicken Yaki style disappeared so unfortunately I can't post it.

    Burned Crab Rangoon

I've been wanting to try this place. Too bad it was a hard fail. My crab Rangoon was almost all wrapper and the smallest amount of filling. Seriously it was like a teaspoon of filling with oversized burned wrappers. What made it worse was that I was over fried (burnt) and tasted like it was fried in old oil. The worst I've ever had. The Madness didn't stop at the appetizer. I got a beef and chicken bowl with mixed vegetables that was almost all zucchini (almost zero broccoli). And the meat was lacking much meat. Would've been better off at just about any random Chinese takeout from anywhere (even a bad one). For the price, I would have been able to buy a second meal at any of those other places. On a positive note, it smelled good. That's about it. Such a let down.

    Grilled teriyaki chicken with noodles

Chose to try this place out. The potstickers were delicious with the honey, but was a little too crunchy. The teriyaki chicken tasted great, and the noodles were some of the best I've had. It was little gross with the teriyaki sauce clashing with the noodles at the bottom of the bowl, so next time I'll probably just get a side of the noodles.

It was okay the place looks great and the young lady that took my order was great but is it went downhill from there. The noodles were dry and sticky. I paid extra for Yaki style n got no yaki style. For the price i paid to get two proteins it wouldve been cheaper to get two bowls. The steak was chewy but the Salmon was great.

Brand new business on the south side of Indy. In a new strip area with Cousins and MochiNut. I had never heard of this business before, so I decided to try it out for dinner one evening. They were very helpful in explaining the menu and helping me decide what to get. The food came out quickly and everything tasted so delicious. The manager even came by our table to ask how everything was. The place was clean and we enjoyed our first visit. I can't wait to return.

You can also place orders on their website and pick up at one of the places they regularly attend (including Statehouse Market, Irvington Farmer's Market, Fishers Farmer's Market, and Avon Farmer's Market. Lydia is also known as an adventurous baker who will do what she can to accommodate other types of baking needs due to sensitivities. Product offerings include cakes/cupcakes (also Keto and Paleo options among others, though flavor options are more limited). breads, rolls, pretzel products, cinnamon rolls, Danish, and other items. Lydia can also make yeast-free breads, sweet breads, pies, cookies, cake donuts, brownies, scones, etc. The list is available on their website with pricing. I've tried the brownies (Yum!), cinnamon rolls (even more yum!), and cookies (Yum Yum). Yes, the pricing is a little higher than mass-produced products. These are specialty products from a local, woman owned business. Easily worth supporting in my book. When you add in just how sick you can get when you don't follow the needed diet, I find it balances out. I mean, seriously. How often have we violated the gluten-free diet and paid for it with digestive issues requiring OTC or even prescription meds? So, we end up spending more and feeling lousy. Lydia makes quality products that are healthier and does so at a fair price. She's always friendly and helpful and always willing to brainstorm ideas. I can always tell by the steady line at their stand that they've earned a reputation for quality baking. If you need a gluten-free baking option, Gluten Free Creations is definitely worth a visit at a local farmer's market or through their website.

Eating out has become a bit more limiting. My scones: oh, how I miss you! My SO surprised me with a batch of gluten free mini scones from a vendor at City Market Farmers Market: Gluten Free Creations. Yum! I checked out their website and wow, so much to offer. Vegan, paleo, gluten free, many items allergen free. Scones, cake doughnuts, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, sandwich and other breads. I try to write somewhat useful reviews so I definitely want to give this place a shout out and bring it to anyone's attention who may have concerns about certain allergens. Surely you know someone because I don't think a person counts as an actual human being these days if they don't have at least some food sensitivity (I can't believe I'm one of them!). Things to keep in mind, this isn't Ezra's, so their aim isn't necessarily "healthy." Sugar is typically a no go for me, and if that's you too, this place is probably a no go. But if you're entertaining where there are many actual human beings ( I would definitely have a human authenticity device on hand for those who claim to have none. Aliens are real, people!) or you're someone who has food sensitivities, you've got to check this place out! I haven't found any baker in Indy who only does gluten free, so again, worth the review and checking them out for this reason alone. They have no brick and mortar establishment but all local farmer's markets, and they have their schedule listed on their website. If you want to place an order other than what they offer that particular day, contact them but you will have to pick up at a farmer's market. Do I recommend them? Well, truthfully, I've only tried a delicious mini scone so far, but I am excited about their brand/their concept so if you get excited about this too, and you're not afraid of a good ol' fashion American baked good, yes, id recommend them! However, if you are looking for guilt free unbaked goods, I'd probably say go to Ezra's, as I usually do. I can't wait to read about your experience!

I had a bowl with sweet potato noodles, some veggies and the Korean crispy chicken. The flavors were good, but the thing that struck me was that some of the items were essentially cold and others were lukewarm, but none of it was really hot. I think it's an inherent property of what they do. They never "grill" or warn all these items together. It would be much better IMO if all the items were stir fried or thrown on a grill quickly together to warm up the dish and meld the flavors. That said the Korean crispy chicken was flavorful and the noodles were a highlight, and seemed to be like Thai glass noodles I've had before. My dining partner got a bowl with the same noodles, some veggies and the salmon. She really like the salmon, and said her bowl was good. The restaurant was clean, the workers were very welcoming and helpful on informing how to pick bowl items, etc. Parking was very easy. Of course they accept all the standard forms of payment, including tap to pay, etc. Overall, if you like interesting yet potentially disparate flavors together in the same bowl, you will likely enjoy BIBIBOP. We had already eaten a few bites when I remembered to take the pics (Apologies).

I stopped in for lunch and took advantage of one of their weekday lunch specials: a personal pepperoni thin crust pizza with a side salad for under $10. The service was just as impressive as the meal. Renee and Sarah were both incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience feel like visiting a neighborhood spot rather than a chain restaurant. There were quite a few regulars coming and going, which always feels like a good sign. I was also surprised by the drink menu. Anyway, it is a little out of the way. It's walkable from downtown but not really in the downtown core. Pretty quiet when I was there, but the atmosphere felt approachable. Some of the chairs were like school desk chairs (adult-sized, of course) that I haven't seen since I was in primary school which was kind of funny. The guy at the counter was cheerful and friendly. They looked like they had run out of some of the hot savory items by Saturday mid-afternoon, but there was still a wide variety of sweets. I believe the current owners are Indian, and you see some of those flavours featured. I got: Samosa handpie: Good, not mind-blowing, but good. Nice flavours. If you like a flaky crust, this is not it, but I liked the rustic pastry crust. Pistachio cardamom donut: Loved it. Before I moved to Bloomington, there were a few bakeries that offered vegan-GF cake donuts that I loved, and this was the first thing I've gotten here that reminded me of that. Pleasant texture and strong cardamom flavour, not too sweet. I think these are baked donuts, so they're a little different from regular fried donuts, but in a good way IMO. Rose dream latte: Milk with rose syrup topped with coconut whip and nuts, no espresso. Tasted great, but more of a dessert drink than I was expecting. The coconut whip was quite thick. The concept could probably use some refinement, because the whip was too thick and rigid to drink without a straw, but the nut pieces were too big to go through a straw, and so I couldn't figure out the best way to drink it. From what I understand, there are some longtime fans of this place who feel like the quality has dropped since the most recent change in ownership, but as someone who had never been here before, I really had a good experience. I get why people would be upset when something changes, but if you are considering trying this place for the first time, I wouldn't be too put off by the negativity around the change in ownership. There's no other place specialized in vegan baking in Bloomington, so I think it's good to support what they are continuing to do here, and even though I am partial to vegan food I wouldn't say that if it wasn't also GOOD. They also had some refreshingly unique options for baked goods.
