Unable to give anything less than one star. Called the number listed on the website and asked about times of operation and if reservations were needed. Was told no reservations necessary and to come by anytime for a great view and great drink specials. Walked there from down the street, only to find the entire bar rented out for a private event. Don't tell someone to come by whenever when you are in fact closed for a private event. Will not recommended to anyone and will certainly not return. read more

I made reservations through yelp a week in advance to have a beautiful ocean-side rooftop dinner for 4 (two couples in their early thirties) at MIST. The website and photos I saw online made the venue seem like the perfect place for a classy dinner on vacation; I have never been so mistaken. When we arrived, the place was packed with teenagers and early-twenty-somethings half naked in bathing suits, drunk and grinding on each other to obscenely loud music; At 8pm! When I found a waitress to inquire about the reservation, we were told that they weren't taking reservations anymore through yelp, and they didn't have a table for us because they never received the reservation. She then recommended we go to downstairs to their other restaurant instead because there weren't any tables available on the rooftop (it was PACKED). We decided against her recommendation and ended up going to El Alambique up the block instead; There we had the amazing ocean-side experience we were hoping for. read more

Great rooftop bar! Awesome foods and drinks. The bartender is very nice and helpful. Come around 5:30pm-6pm so you can see the sunset! Beautiful and in front of the beach! Will definitely come back!!! read more

Great roof top restaurant and bar in the Water Club Hotel on Isla Verde Beach. Great view, nice lounging couches, good food and drinks. The fish tacos were great. Within walking distance from Isla Verde hotels. Great anytime, especially sunsets. Would definitely go back. read more

This place was a highlight! It's on the rooftop of the WBC hotel. Very well decorated with incredible views and drinks.

We went to Mist three times during our trip. The first night, a Thursday, we had delicious cocktails and food, although the service was slow. The next night we were there for happy hour, and we had a great experience. We got a couple rounds of happy hour drinks, specifically $5 rum punch, while enjoying a view of the ocean during sunset. The service was great, and our waitress even gave us a round of shots for my birthday. We had a great experience with her! We came back on Sunday after she told us about the all day happy hour and DJ. We decided to order more rum punches, but that's when our experience went down hill. Although we specifically ordered the same happy hour-priced drinks that we had gotten two nights before, the restaurant ended up charging us almost double ($9 per drink), plus an undisclosed 18% event charge, which doesn't include tip. The management claimed that rum punch was not a happy hour drink, since it included multiple types of fruit juice, even though that had not been the case the day before. Not only did we end up paying much more for each drink, the size of the rum punches were a rip off for the price. They were served in small, plastic Dixie cups, while the regular cocktails are served in large glass mason jars and cups (with significantly more ingredients and a similar price). After a lengthy discussion with management, they gave us another round of drinks, although that didn't make up for our expensive bill. read more

Drinks were good, but food is very below average and over priced. I ordered a Caesar salad and it was just lettuce and dressing despite being advertised as more. Very disappointing. Also really slow service. read more

I could NOT be happier with our experience at Mist. My (now) husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at mist. All of our guests were completely blown away by the view, space, and food. Nailin Delgado was the event coordinator and did such a wonderful job with communicating with me and planning the event. The views are amazing and the setting is very modern, but that's all I can say that is positive. The drinks weren't great and the food was terrible. The menu is small. There is nothing traditional on it. Our dish was terrible. Very salty, so much so it makes you squint. The scenery is the only thing this place has. We left and went some place else. read more

Arrived early at least 4 hours in advance and requested a 1-2 hour courtesy early check in. Seemed as if I asked for a 1st class ticket to Mars on Elon Musk' spaceship- pool is the Size of a bath tub - haven't even checked in and sooooo unimpressed! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. My friends and I decided to check it out for happy hour on a Thursday... never in my life have I experienced service this poor and slow and been treated this rudely. When we sat down, there were only a couple other people there, but we were ignored by the waitress who had walked by multiple times until we flagged her down asking for water for the table. She tried to tell us that we could not order anything from her if we had an open tab at the bar, which none of us did, a few of us had simply purchased one drink at the bar (and we were just asking for water!) She eventually took our drink and food orders (we asked for separate checks) and needed to collect everyone's ID and hold on to them, so she wrote down everyone's order with their name next to it to remember. It wasn't until after we ordered food that she told us the kitchen didn't even open for another half an hour. When she came back with the drinks (tall drinks were the "2 for 1" happy hour special), she was missing one of our drinks, and when the girl spoke up about it, the waitress argued and tried to tell her that she already got her drink and that it was a 2 for 1 deal. Finally she came back with my friends' drink, but rather than set it down in front of her politely, she held it out over the table and turned around to have a conversation with another employee, letting the drink dangle over us for 30 seconds. I thought this was one of the rudest things I have ever witnessed in a restaurant, and my friends agreed. The restaurant never got crowded, but we were pretty much ignored by our waitress the rest of the time. The food came out about an hour and fifteen minutes later (all we ordered were two bowls of macaroni and cheese). We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks, if the food was alright, nothing. Finally we were ready to leave and asked for our checks. We waited half an hour. Half an hour!!! Before I saw our waitress bussing the other table that had left, and realized she must have forgotten (?). So I went up and asked again. And we waited another fifteen minutes before she came over and told us that she would be adding 18% gratuity because we were a party of 7! I had had enough of her shenanigans at this point (and I am pretty understanding as I work as a waitress) so I decided to talk to the manager about our experience. The manager was rude, unapologetic, and treated me as if I was lying, saying that she would need to validate my story with the staff. After calling up to the rooftop staff, she told me the reason we were waiting so long for our checks was because we asked to have them separated at the last minute. Not true, and she already had all the orders separated, with our names next to them nonetheless. I know how restaurants work, and it does not take that long to separate a check!! So she then told me to come upstairs with her to talk to our waitress! Does it get any more awkward than that?!? I had to go and confront my terrible waitress with a terrible manager at my side?! ... it gets worse. The manager finally came back to our table and said that the waitress was shocked to hear we complained because we had all been very polite to her and she thought she was doing a good job. The manager told us that the best she could offer us was a 10% discount (noting that it would take a while to do on each of our checks) or a free drink for the road (noting that if we all had separate drink orders that it would take a while too). We asked for the drinks because we wanted to get the hell out of there, and then while paying, our waitress, the one we had just complained about, stood next to our table to ring each credit card through on a portable machine and ASK US IF WE WANTED TO LEAVE AN ADDITIONAL TIP ABOVE THE 18%!!! I was floored. I don't know if our waitress was on drugs, or what the hell was going on, but frankly I don't know how this place is in business. On top of it the manager could not have possibly handled the situation any worse. We all left feeling ripped off and mad. Please, do not ever ever go here. You will be doing yourself a favor. read more
