By luck I wandered in here late in the evening, looking for a place to eat after landing in San Juan. Walked up the stairs into this incredible little place. The staff was very nice, they seated me by the balcony overlooking the streets of Old San Juan, poured me a bourbon and recommended some tapas. Both were excellent, and I think I ended up ordering half the menu for myself and just sat there and enjoyed it.

Margherita Frozen Box Pizza..... cheapest one in the supermarket probably.

Came here with my other half while visiting Puerto Rico this week. Had some drinks and food. The drinks were ok but, the food was lacking. Service was fine. The sweet and tangy meatballs were good. The Creamy Mac & Cheese was............ no where what the name of it describes it to be. The Margherita Pizza.......... what in the frozen box pizza mess is this?!?!? This place needs to make some changes ASAP. Not sure how it has such good reviews just of this experience.

I went on a Friday night in Jan and found this place because of a recommendation. Lovely hidden spot - makes it quiet and cozy. I didn't wanna sit in the dining area but the bar area did not match the vibe of the rest of the place. Maybe it was the lighting and the music. The service though is top notch - they opened the door to the balcony for me and also made me a custom cocktail and recommended some great food. Food is great too - the feta in the ceviche though not my thing :) All in all I'd recommend this place - but for the dining area

Was skeptical when we walked upstairs. Had reservations and staffed looked confused. Was seated right away and game on. Drinks were ok. Small plate menu. Tacos de carnitas and the fish tacos were amazing . Wanted to order a 2nd serving of the Shrimp pineapple . Meatballs were amazing . For sure repeat .

Perfect rooftop sitting, be aware there will be a lot of steps to get to it. It is all high tops and a bench around the edge, they haveamy tables for different group sizes. The waiter was very friendly and quick with the drinks. We ordered, sangria's and a few tequila cocktails all tasted great sole were strong so read all the ingredients before ordering. It was very hot so being in a rooftop was perfect breeze, only fully open rooftop we found in old San Juan.

We stopped in for a drink & snack and it didn't disappoint! We got drinks and two different tapas. The black bean humus was my personal favorite. The vibes are unique and the service was impeccable.

I came in here on a whim and I am so glad I did. This places serves the best mojitos I have ever had on any island vacation. The food is divine. Seriously skip all the other places around they are super touristy but this place is a local hot spot after work. I ordered three tapas and they were each better than the last. There's a chill relaxed atmosphere that feels like you can be in equal parts in Cuba or in the Caribbean

This is our must visit spot every time we're in San Juan. It's always amazing. The drinks? 10000/10 the food? 1000/10 the service? Amazing. The vibe of the place? Unmatched. I can't talk enough about how good this restaurant/ speakeasy is. Our favorite tapas are the tacos carnitas, pinchos de camarones, veggie pizza (listen I never order a veggie pizza but this is a must!!) Now drinks, the mezzanine mule is amazing (also ordered as a mocktail is amazingggg) and the lavandula & the beez are my favorite.

What a gem! We have been to San Juan 3 times and just found this place on our last visit. It's now a favorite! The atmosphere is so cozy and beautiful, while the food and drinks were top notch! It's a small spot, so I hesitate to write this review because I want it to be a best kept secret. We will return every trip to OSJ!

Had 2 drinks here. Had to wait probably 25 minutes for a seat to open up. Had the Quita To and the Coquí Coquí. I preferred the second and it had a cool presentation. They were well balanced drinks, they didn't take too long to bring the drinks out. It was one of the better cocktail bars in old San Juan. Tip: if you're asked whether you want water, the bring out bottled spring water vs tap and obviously get charged for it.

We had such an amazing dinner here. The tapas were great but our server was better! Adrienne was our best server of the trip! She went above and beyond to make sure our friend's anniversary dinner was special and gave great food suggestions. We loved all the tapas except the Mac and cheese. Restaurant Seemed sketchy from the outside but we went up the stairs and loved it all.

The photos here are not as they appear. The rooftop is actually extremely small with only maybe less than 10 small 2 person tables. At 7pm on Saturday all the seats were taken. We were lucky to come early. The rooftop also doesn't really have any type of view? The service was extremely slow. It took at least 15 min for someone to take our order and another 10 min for our drinks to come. We both ordered the lavender mule. Drinks were very pricy!! $20 per drink!!! I'm from San Francisco and am used to paying high prices but this was unwarranted. The price isn't justified for what you're getting and the ambience you're expecting. This is for sure a tourist trap and I would not recommend. Plenty of other great bars in the area.

One room, the main area had salsa, dancing, and music and eventually at 9:30 PM a live salsa band came on. That was a whole lot of fun however it was very crowded. The second room had a nice house music going on. There was a bar and a DJ and it was not as busy as the main area was. And the third room was the bar that leads to the outside called La Cubanita, which was playing mellow lounge music with a tropical beat. The food at La Factoria was definitely overrated and just OK. I did not think it was worth the price and I probably would not eat there again. None of us really liked what we ordered, but we ate it because well... We were hungry. They do offer a wide range of beverages from your standard beer, wine, and top shelf brands, however, they are known for their own concoctions. All of the drinks we ordered were delicious. Overall, we had fun, and it was not too pricey for the beverages. I don't think that I would ever go again, especially not later in the week as it is so busy, and we went on a Monday and we were dancing cheek to cheek!!! Enjoy!

We were thrilled when we finally walked through the door again after wracking our brains to remember our favorite spot in Old Town. Upon entering, we were greeted by a young woman who, mentioned it was her very first day as an assistant to the bartender. Despite being brand new, she was warm, engaged, and genuinely welcoming, excited for us that we had made it back after several years, and impressed with our efforts. Shortly thereafter the bartender on duty approached us mid-conversation, visibly irritated. When I mentioned that we hadn't yet decided on drinks but were being well taken care of in the meantime, she interrupted sharply to bark at us that she was the bartender and the ONLY one who could help us. The tone was unwelcoming enough that after a moment, my companion and I determined that we would prefer to move on and left without ordering. The atmosphere is truly special, and it deserves to be matched by the experience guests receive at the bar. Our experience was simply not the vibe that night, and I truly was disappointed FOR the new hire who was doing what she should in engaging us until we could be served. I sincerely hope to return on a future visit to San Juan and to rediscover the experience that first brought me back to La Grieta.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and unfortunately, they fell short in every possible category. The layout is a major issue. We paid the $10 per person fee for the piano room, only to be squeezed in elbow-to-elbow with strangers. The tables are so tiny I literally had to eat out of my lap to avoid spilling food on my clothes. Even the basic facilities were a struggle; the women's bathroom was so cramped and unaccommodating that I could barely even sit down. When we asked to move to a more comfortable space, the hostess and waitress refused, citing nearby reservations. The kitchen and service were equally disappointing. After waiting over an hour for our entrees, the food arrived mediocre and tasteless. The steak had zero seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were dry and flavorless--essentially just a boiled potato thrown on a plate. The service was the final straw. When I tried to flag down a server to send the potatoes back, he told me he would "get her." When our waitress finally arrived, I explained the issue and she simply replied, "I know." No apology, no offer to bring something else, and no effort to make it right. To be met with that level of rudeness on my birthday was shocking. This was a complete waste of time and money--I won't be returning.
