Breakfast and a view - buffet was included in our stay at the Conando Vanderbilt Hotel
    Heather L.

Breakfast with a gorgeous view. Had me thinking I was on a cruise ship balcony for a split second. My husband and I had the breakfast buffet (included in our hotel reservation at the Conando Vanderbilt Hotel - shoutout to Amex Plat perks). Probably wouldn't have paid the full price of $49/pp, but it was a great breakfast buffet overall. FOOD: There was a dry section (variety of breads and cereals), sweets section (delicious savory/sweet pastries, oatmeal, cream of wheat, pancakes, bread pudding, yogurt and more), hot bar (scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes), cold bar (cold meats/cheese and fruits) and an omelette station for omlettes fresh to order. Service was great and although there was nothing that truly stood out to me, overall it was a great breakfast dining experience.

Ola Oceanfront Bistro is situated on the oceanfront of Condado Vanderbilt. We've decided to have our Thanksgiving dinner here. The ambiance is elegant inside the restaurant, but it's more casual dining outside, by the poolside. The service that night was a bit slow, and since it was getting late, we decided to share a couple of dishes. We started with 3 short ribs sliders with kimchi flavor and chicken breast with yuca, escabeche, and chicken jus. There's nothing noteworthy about the dishes that we ordered, but also nothing off-putting. Overall, the staff is awesome, but the service was a bit slow. With the fantastic view and ambiance, this place is still worth a visit when you are on the island.

Friendly welcoming service for a non-guest. Wow to the view and the ambience. The buffets are out of this world and you will induce into a food-coma. I elected to do the steak and eggs. Every bite was a treat. So why only a 4-Star? Bougie places deserve bougie over the top service. Coffee waits made me a little sad. Perhaps serving the table with a small pot would be helpful. I shall return and hope to deliver 5-Stars. I really like the people and the vibe.

Everything about this experience was wonderful. You step into this hotel and are greeted like royalty. The beautiful pools, outdoor dining area, and poolside bar all overlook the sea. The specialty cocktails are amazing and all food was fresh and flavorful. I recommend the tuna tartare, the empanadas, and the Mojito.

Yes, yes, yes!!! This place is stunning! It's positioned inside the Vanderbilt hotel which is a beautiful place on its own. When you walk into the restaurant it's so clean and fresh feeling. We had reservations for brunch, I'm not sure if you can walk in, but there is tons of seating. We got an outdoor ocean table. I can't even explain how perfect of a view it was of the ocean. Staff is so nice! No communication problem, everyone spoke English. Not that this is necessary when you're in a Spanish speaking county. It was just a nice perk. The mimosas were great! I ordered the eggs Benedict. I don't think I've ever had a better eggs Benedict honestly. I'm not sure how they make the pork on bottom, but I will be dreaming about it until I come back. My partner had the steak and eggs. So so so yummy

Went tot Ola with the friends and we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive but soon got busy with other tables. We didn't see him often, but it didn't interrupt our food or drinks much. Ola moved to a new menu this week so if you've never been or you are a regular try coming here again. Now on to the food. The grilled octopus was one of the best I've ever tasted. The farley risotto situation at the bottom leaves room for improvement. The textures don't read well after the grains have been sitting for more than five minutes.

Our buffet breakfast was included with the AMEX fine rewards program. They normally have an omelette station but we were able to order omelettes through the waitress. All of the food was delicious, especially the pastries. I had what I thought was going to be Chia pudding but it seemed to be Chia seeds and whipped cream. Definitely keto friendly because it had no sugar. I added some jam and other toppings from the oatmeal station. For dinner I was so excited about the octopus the picture turned out blurry. There was so much octopus for $26 I would highly recommend this dish. My husband's fillet was very small and I thought $40 was pretty overpriced. You definitely pay for the view here. The food did take forever to come out especially since there could not have been more than 10 tables occupied.

Pricey! You are definitely paying for the view. Service was nice. They ran out of half of the menu items, not cool. Came here for dinner one night and got a seat outside. The view is beautiful obviously. There's a pool and a hot tub next to the outdoor patio, so that was very nice. Nice ambience. Our server was very nice! We ordered the red snapper whole fish, they fried it and seasoned it. It was good, although definitely a bit over cooked. The sides were pretty good. We had ordered 3 other items and they were out of all 3 of our other choices, really bad. Overall, nice ambience but expect to pay a high price.

Was here for 5 days for breakfast. View is AMAZING. Buffet is ok. Would give 3 out of 5. Hot stuff are a bit below par. Nothing very special. Sausage is a bit salty. Yogurt too sweet. Best part of buffet is pastry. If you order a la carte, now we are talking. French toast (4/5) on the sweet side. Pancake (4/5) a little dry. Egg whites frittata (5/5) should really be called salmon egg white's frittata. Decent portion of salmon. Ordered twice, first time way too salty, turns out the second cook does great. Smoked salmon Benedict (3/5) way too salty, same cook with the salty egg white frittata. Coconut lassi (5.5/5) excellent! Must try! A little creamy but not grossly creamy. Cucumber juice (4/5) similar to Citrus #1 with Pressed Juice. Service depends on the server. Can be average to excellent.

Came down from the hotel and couldn't pass up eating here with this view around sunset. Ordered the avocado salsa and chip- very good - took the leftovers back to the room for a great snack later. The avocado salsa is mostly avocados - no heat. The salmon was delicious- crisp and flaky. The lentil stew was hearty- it had a great mix of flavors! I wasn't crazy about the flavor of the pickled topping, but the stew made up for it! Service was great- I would highly recommend coming!

Vibes are great! Nice poolside restaurant with a great ambiance! The food is pretty good and affordable too! We went as a group of 4 and spent $98 bucks! The burger was amazing!! Definitely recommend. Chicken quesadilla is an app but can easily serve as the main course! Has a bit of kick to it but it's pretty solid. The wings were excellent too! My coffee was a bit bad though. Very tart and burnt taste. Overall 9/10.

She offered to seat us if the party didn't arrive within the grace period. Thankfully, they never showed up, and the table became ours. From that point on, everything was fantastic. The sangria however, was not great. It just tasted like juices that don't really work together. I couldn't taste the wine. We ordered the roasted pork and skirt steak. The steak was really tasty, and juicy. But the roasted pork was very dried and hard. It had some good bits in it but there were quite a few pieces that were too cooked to eat. The rice and beans were cooked very well. This is the perfect place for quick local food where you won't spend too much. But if you want a very high quality, I would choose elsewhere.

This spot we had seen on social media a ton for being famous for their Mallorca sandwich, a special type bread, we got the one with bacon & American cheese. Man, I made the mistake of doing the bacon instead of ham, overthought that deal. I tried my buddies with ham n cheese and I think that was way to go. I loved how this spot had that super old school feel of like a diner. You can sit at one of the table tops, or you can do the countertop too, which has tons of seats, we all were able to sit there. The beef was seasoned well with hints of herbal seasonings. It came with a little pepper sauce that wasn't just spicy but had like a sweet pepper and chives flavor as well. Baked pork ribs- got this with the white rice and beans. The beans was well seasoned and tasted really good. The rice was cooked well and with some salt where it's not too much but you can taste a hint of it with every bite. The pork was disappointingly dry. It had a nice flavor almost like smoked but too dry and hard. Fried snapper- this took the cake. It was cooked to perfection where it wasn't dry but soft and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It came with a nice tasting garlic sauce but honestly the sauce over powers the herbal flavor of the fish. Fried cod fish- this was a no no. It was fried like a chip but tasted like oil. There was no fish flavor at all.
