This afternoon, I stopped by Patisserie Too in Alhambra to get some egg tarts…read more I had recently seen a post on social media saying that their egg tarts are only $0.99 each and surprisingly delicious, so I had been wanting to check this place out. Luckily, today I was in the area with my best friend to get a massage, and it was only about 10 minutes away from where we were, so we decided to stop by. The egg tarts here were honestly as good as people had said they were. They were delicious, and I especially loved how affordable they were. The staff was also very nice, and the restroom was so clean. The parking sign said that parking was free for 2 hours, but we only stayed for about 10 minutes to grab and eat our egg tarts. My friend said that after parking there, she met the owner of a restaurant next door, who told her that the parking is actually only free for 1 hour. Either way, we left after about 10 minutes because it was almost time for our massage appointment. Today, I bought 2 egg tarts for my friend, and I also bought 6 more to take home and enjoy with my family tomorrow morning. While we were there, my friend and I each ate one, and they were really delicious! I definitely think I'll come back again the next time I'm in this area.

They always have a good variety of cakes and they're are always fun to look at. Though I myself am not a cake fan, their cakes are pretty good (a little sweet by Asian standards). They have fun and interesting flavors, and make seasonally themed cakes which are super cute. In my opinion, their egg tarts are the real find, as they're inexpensive and delicious. They make several different types of egg tarts, including a regular one (canto style) and Portuguese style. There's a nearby parking lot, and there is some seating at this spot (some outdoors).

As the name of the bakery implies, it's "Perfectly Sweet"…read more I'm generally a bit more wary of purchasing baked goods from non-Asian bakeries since they tend to be sweeter than what my palate likes, but not here! The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. It's also a cafe where you can order drinks, as well as a place you can order cakes custom order or what they have behind the glass already. There's both seating inside and outside.

I also love their cheesecake and fruitcake, which never disappoint. Whenever I need a birthday treat for a friend, I pick up one of their small cakes. They're always a hit! I especially love the edible chocolate "Happy Birthday" sign and how they package everything so beautifully in a white box with a gold bow and a lavender flower touch it's such a thoughtful and elegant detail. The customer service is consistently amazing warm, welcoming, and always helpful. Highly recommend Perfectly Sweet for anyone looking for high-quality, delicious desserts with a personal touch!

The only employee working was super perky and helpful, and the shop has added some awesome new merch since my last visit (loving the look and feel of their white hoodies!). The cake pick up process is very straightforward-- they just require you to bring the receipt that you got when you paid. They are on time with the cake pick up times, and the cakes always come out fresh and light! I've had the taro egg pudding, mango egg pudding, and I think the strawberry egg pudding one. The taro and mango egg pudding cakes were so yummy! The cakes have 3 layers and they have the fillings in between. The egg pudding isn't as fragrant as I'd hoped since you can barely taste it as the other flavors are stronger, but it gives the cake a nice moist layer. I also enjoy their breads. The size and price are still good and they accept card payments! Bakery is clean and organized. They have a small seating area if you get drinks and dessert and want to sit down. They do charge for a bag, so bring one if you plan to buy multiple breads to save on that $$.

There's a small parking lot in the back, but spaces can be hard to find and I ended up having to park on the street the first time I went. (FYI - they are going to open a Goomo tea shop on the corner in the same space!) D'ange has so many fun flavors of buns. I really liked the taro with mochi one. The only thing about the buns is that the fillings tend to be only on one side of the bun, so there are been times as I'm biting into the bun, I'm not getting any filling until the last couple bites. They even sell cookies and all different flavors of toast that would make some yummy brick toast desserts! And if you need a whole cake, they have them in the case ready to go too! The buns I got were great, as were the Portuguese egg tarts. They even sold Chinese tamales at my last visit, so I picked one up too. I don't know many places that sell these, and I used to eat them all the time when my grandma made them years ago, but now that no one in my family knows how to make them, it's a special treat if I can find it. They have ones with meat (with or without peanuts), and some with just the mung bean. They must be really know for this because 2 other parties ahead of me were buying tons of the tamales!

The owner (I presume) handed us a prepackaged brown bag the moment we got there. It wasn't busy at all so the whole transaction was under 5 minutes. It's a mom & pop Asian bakery that's spacious and warm. Our surprise bag contained 7 mini breads: black sesame mochi, red sesame mochi, taro bun with filling, hot dog cheese bread, buo luo bao, ham + cheese bun, and another bread I couldn't quite identify. This is $21 value for $6.99 is what we paid. After heating them up, they tasted almost like fresh so we can't complain. However, I would say these days $3 would get you bigger buns at other similar bakeries, but their fillings were very generous, so it's hard to say. Parking has spots designated to the bakery so look out for the signs.

I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with my experience here…read more I have called around to numerous bakeries and this was the only one that was within our budget! I think it's ridiculous other stores are charging $125+ for a 6 inch gender reveal cake (no decorations/ no writing). Is it because it's a gender reveal cake with either pink or blue frosting so they have to hike up the ridiculous prices?! Look no further everyone!! Get all your baked goods and beautifully made cakes here! Other places also want a week's notice before pick up. This spot is only 1 day!! I spoke to the owner over the phone and gave him the details of what my vision was for the cake. He made my vision come true, but even better than I thought it would be! And because you order the cake one day ahead, you can taste how moist and fresh the cake actually is! Versus if you were to order a week in advance anywhere else, the cake would be dry and brittle!! I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my experience here. From my inquiry over the phone up until pick up. I am very very pleased and will continue to come to this establishment. They truly deserve all the praise. THANK YOU for an amazing experience that my hubby and I will never forget!
