Mango Slush & Green Milk Tea
    Karena S.

I was in the area and I wanted to reminisce about my childhood! I came with a couple other people and we wanted a drink. I noticed that they have a happy hour available on weekdays for $4 large boba milk teas. They didn't have boba and the woman snapped at us mid sentence saying we don't have boba. No worries, we still opted for the happy hour since it's 50 cents cheaper and got an upgrade to a large. Drinks were decent/average. They have a large bread and cake selection! I have better memories of this place but the service was super unfriendly and unprofessional.

San Gabriel has so many bakeries, and this is one I hadn't tried before. They have a pretty good selection of breads and pastries, all at very reasonable prices. We grabbed a handful of baked goods. I'd rate them above average, and for the price, I'd definitely come back for more. We also tried one of their exclusive cakes. It wasn't overly sweet and was overall very tasty. Solid bakery. Parking: Easy, there are plenty of spots in the underground lot or in the back.

With plenty of bakeries around SGV, I had to try Oh My Pan as I've heard some good qualities about their shop. Parking here is small to moderate as it's shared with other shops. Pretty small lot but there's underground as well, could be a bit compact but street parking is also accessible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance, this is a pretty sizeable bakery. A decent amount of tables as well since it's a cafe combo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cakes, bread, drinks are all accessible and the drinks are fairly good for the cheaper price compared to the standard boba shops. Breads here are restocked fairly often and from the baskets, there's plenty of unique options of breads that aren't seen in other bakeries. One that caught my eye was the boba bread and the matcha swirl bread. Both are fairly delicious but I would say it's a acquired taste. Definitely a try it once type of bread and have a verdict afterwards. My partner and ordered a couple of the breads to try which include the signature pineapple breads, matcha, sausages, and some sweeter bread as well. All were pretty soft, fresh, and cheaper compared to other bakeries. We also ordered two drinks, the Orchid Milk Tea & the Light Oolong Milk Tea. Both were pretty refreshing but nothing over the top as it's cheaper than the usual shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a nice spacious bakery/cafe combo that's good for doing some work, a small bite, or drinks for affordable price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have cakes so that's definitely a option whenever I have a birthday to consider.

    Half sheet chocolate crunchy

One of my favorite bakeries because of the reasonable cost and also their chocolate crunchy cake (please please please never discontinue it). My husband and I preordered a half sheet Chocolate Crunchy for our baby shower a few weeks in advance and it was a hit at the shower. Almost every guest finished their slice and a few went to grab seconds. Did it cost more than a Costco half sheet? Absolutely. Did it also taste much better? YES. I would absolutely order this again when we host another party.

The breads here are fresh, soft, and delicate. Delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is good, and they have few tables that can accommodate 2-4 people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Calm atmosphere to spend some time or do some work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were all good Hot coffee Pineapple bun Custard bun Shredded pork puff pastry Strawberry puff pastry

Parking here is a little difficult. And if you're not a confident driver getting in and out of this plaza might be hard too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bakery itself is really cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a lot of seating inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The price of the bread and cakes here is reasonable and actually on the inexpensive side. We got the strawberry brick toast. They only offer it for dining in and only at certain times. It was a lot larger than I expected and was very tasty. It's worth a try if you're in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small shop that specializes in cakes, desserts, pastries, and fun drinks. The vibe is small town bakery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in on New Year's Eve on the way to a friend's house to pick up some dessert for our New Year's dinner. They had a cake that I thought was perfect. I also bought a couple of other things that I wanted to have for later. The person helping me was very friendly and helpful. Maybe it's because it was New Year's Eve but I was the only one in the store at the time so service was really quick and I was in and out in about 15 minutes total. Parking was a little strange. I'm not too familiar with that property, but I had to park around the corner. But a little walk doesn't hurt me at all.

Parking is difficult and tight, they have underground parking. It was difficult to find, as it's tucked in a shopping center. I came in at 9am on the weekday and not all of the baked goods were ready. It smelled delicious in the bakery as they were putting out their fresh goods! If you're wanting more of a selection, arrive later than 9am. Luckily they just pulled out trays of goods and I was able to snag some. These buns are big and are about $2-3 per bun. The cakes are beautifully designed and you can get an 8in for $45.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small bakery with plenty of indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Some parking in the back with a lower level. I enjoyed the matcha filled bread. It wasn't too sweet and soft. Not sure how I feel about the cheesecake filled bread, don't really like it as much. Also unsure why it was red/pink in color. The price is great for their pastries. Usually the same pastries sell for a dollar or two more each.

I'm unsure about the cakes at this place, but we did just get the baos here. We got the most popular sea salt coffee bao and the bolo bao. The pineapple bun was decent, I just wish there was more cookie to the cookie, the bao part of it was good though, soft and pillowy. We also wanted to try the sea salt coffee bao and that one was surprisingly good. Not too sweet and a lot of the bitterness from the coffee comes through. I think I would try their cakes next time as it seems to have good reviews.

Bakery inside a retail plaza. There's parking on the ground floor and basement. The service is fine and can be a bit slow if a lot of people order drinks. Came on a weekday and had to wait almost 10 minutes as there was only 1 person making drinks. The drinks and food is good. I like that it's fairly cheap compared to other bakeries. I can order a large tea and a pastry for under $10.

    Strawberry Matcha Cake
    Katie C.

Their cakes are inconsistent. We personally ordered a Matcha Tiramisu cake for someone's birthday and it was gross. Cake was fluffy but dry. Cream in between layers wasn't great either, left a waxy film in your mouth. Someone surprised me with a Strawberry Matcha Cake and it was pretty good. Light and fluffy, not too sweet. Not a thick layer of cream on exterior of cake.

Definitely not the kind of drink I would have everyday, but good to have once in a long while. Thai Lemon Tea 2.5-3/5 Trying really hard to like it, but it's very so-so for me. Not my cup of tea. My bestie introduced me to ChaTraMue and I was so excited for their Thai Green Tea. Right by restaurants and such so it's a convenient spot to get something here after lunch or another meal, etc. Ordering was through a kiosk and the 4 of us all got Thai green teas. They have a regular option and a vegan option where they use oat milk. The default topping was the agar boba which I kept on my drink and enjoyed it. Flavor was really good, and though I got one of the lower sweetness percentages, it was still pretty sweet to me. The others didn't mind too much as they didn't find theirs overly sweet. Unsure if they made a batch of the same sweetness cause most of us did get half sweet, but the flavor was still really good. They have other drinks as well, which I'd love to try if I return here. I'd also love to try their signature Thai tea as well. There's seating here and the people that work here are nice as well. Our drinks came out quickly too. We chilled here for a bit to enjoy our drinks and to avoid the heat a lil, and had a blast.

Unfortunately, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted funky. Some pearls had the flavor of soap. "Gross!!" I arrived at YOTEA (Rosemead) on Monday (around 12:16PM). Parking is simple if familiar with the area. There's a rear parking garage for customers. Staff is unmemorable and awkward. When I mentioned they mixed old and new menus together which displayed incorrect prices, Staff seemed amused and let them stay mixed. Staff avoided customer interaction whenever possible. The drink took two minutes and 10 seconds. Quick time. The Pandan Milk Drink ($5.99 - 50% Sweetness - Regular Ice) with Brown Sugar Boba (additional 80 cents) tasted artificial. It had a strong "candy milk taste," and it glowed a neon green when stirred. The first sip was pleasant, but as I continued to drink, the taste became more off-putting. Next, the Brown Sugar Boba tasted inconsistent. Some tasted perfectly fine, but others had the flavor of dishwater and gloop. I was tempted to throw it into the garbage can. Concerning ambiance, YOTEA (Rosemead) has potential. Ignoring the cobweb underneath one table & the somewhat old furniture, there's utility. This location has about 10 electrical outlets. Wow! There's also customer internet with password; the internet information is taped onto the black register. There's also a customer gender neutral restroom. YOTEA (Rosemead) is also very spacious. The ceiling is very tall, and there's many spots to sit. There's about 16 tables!! If desperate for a study/work spot, this is a decent choice. There's also upbeat, smooth music. Overall, I had a disappointing experience at YOTEA (Rosemead). There's utility and potential, but this business feels old and unmaintained. Rather than clean, Staff just chattered amongst themselves. Any passion that rang within these walls dissipated a long time ago. Currently, YOTEA (Rosemead) is simply mediocre. 2.9 out of 5
