He understood what I wanted out of my next vehicle and understood that I was not pressed to buy but just saw a couple vehicles I was interested in. I was able to take my time with the two vehicles I was looking at and even compare them side by side. It was a busy day so while waiting for finance, he stayed with me, chatted about everything, and got my trade in packed up so I was ready for a quick and smooth transition when I was done signing and my car was detailed. Finance was smooth, they weren't pushy about add-ons, just realistic. I got what I wanted and passed on what I didn't want and everything flew on by. Pricing and quality of SUVs was amazing. I pre paid for my oil changes, when they eventually finished my service ( oil change) an hour and a half later, I was brought to the cashier, whom I told I was pretty sure I prepped for the oil changes when I leased the vehicle. She checked with the service writer, who then asked finance, who then had to call the other dealer I got the vehical from. And confirm that yes, I had pre paid. I am just very surprised and irritated that your dealership was perfectly fine with basically double charging me for this service. There is not a chance I would EVER recommend this dealership. The second I left the lot, I started having issues with my truck that the dealership REFUSED to fix. The issues cost me $1,000s to fix due to their lack of transparency (issues with the traction control and issues with the oil pan to name a few). This dealership was impossible to work with and refused to offer any sort of reimbursement. I highly recommend this dealership if you would like to be taken advantage of! I have never felt so used and unfairly treated by a business after signing for a loan of $35,000. PLEASE do your research before going to this dealership! I checked the transmission fluid and it was so low it didn't register on the dip stick. I added fluid and then realized the transmission leak. I called them and politely inquired about David vehicle to make sure it was still available for purchase as it was still listed online. Good old Addison at Kunes Delevan assured me that the vehicle was indeed at the lot and available. Well of course I was happy to hear this great news and I said I would like to make an appointment asap to come see the car. Addy than happily Scheduled me an appointment and said she would have the vehicle up front and ready for a test drive. I again asked her to make sure the vehicle was 100% at the lot as I was driving 45 minutes and didn't want to make the trip if it wasn't there. Addison assured me once again to bot worry and the vehicle was indeed there. So I packed up and headed out to Kunes Delevan to view and possibly yest drive the automobile I was interested in. 45 minutes later I got to Kunes. I entered the building and the 15 year old looking sales boy said to me hello what cam I help ypu with? I said I was here to see a car I had an appointment with Addison. Baby face sales boy said he would go get her. He was gone for about 2 minutes when he walked back up and approached me and calmy said I'm sorry it looks like that one sold last night. I told little Billy that I had just spoke to Addison not more than an hour ago and she assured me that the car was there. He looked confused and scared as Addison hid somewhere in the big glass box that is Kunes Delevan. I bought a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander which was fine, I financed an extended warranty that was claimed to cover exterior, and interior, and a lot more. I went to the service department in March of 2022 with a minor issue and the service technician was rude, and wouldn't even acknowledge the warranty. I went back a second day and had to argue for an hour with the manager on duty to resolve my complaint. The plan cost me and the bank 4,000.00. I'm going to have to get the bank involved , after all it's their money too. I told the dealership to give the bank or me the money back. It's like theft by conversion, or fraud. I gave them an opportunity to get out of this issue. I had a contract drawn up that would find NO FAULT either way. All they had to do is give the money back to the bank. I'd still keep the car. Nothing wrong with the car. But they wouldn't even write to say they were interested in settling. It takes up to four years to settle legal issues. I made a complaint with the better business. Then bought a truck had them put new tires on and do the alignment. Got the car back with the steering wheel off center, now front tires toe aren't even aligned correctly. Complete waste of time. I contacted the dealership at the beginning of the week and had been messaging multiple different associates within the 3 days. Texted the night before asking to set up a test drive for 10-11 am. No response. At 10:30 am the next morning I get a call from them and return it. I set up the initial test drive for 12:15. We drove over an hour to get to this dealership so they had time to get the vehicle ready. We get there and the person we were told to ask for, is on a test drive with another customer. We wait 25 minutes before he finally comes back to greet us. Switch desks 3 times. Before our test drive, he gets my information about financing which I have never had before because most of the time you test drive before you make the decision. Finally after over an hour of us being there, we are brought outside to test drive. Only for him to pull out a completely different vehicle than what I had been inquiring about and he tried playing it off until we immediately said something. He then used the excuse that the car we inquired about was given out for a loaner. We gave the Malibu that was brought out a shot and test-drove it anyway. Came back inside to talk numbers, and look outside the window to the car we had inquired about "magically" being out front. Test drove the car and it was an absolute dump. The right side tires had giant gashes that my boyfriend was able to stick his fingers into. The windshield had a chip. The car reeked of cigarette smoke and it was all yellow and even had parts that black gunk came off with the wipe of a finger. The seat had cigarette burn holes as well. Why this was not checked before allowing a customer to drive it is beyond me, as it is a MAJOR safety hazard. When we got back & the finance team came out, the manager tried to beat around the bush and would not tell us the interest rate & claimed loans were not available for 72 months & when we pushed and pushed to see it, he finally brought out the paperwork with a terrible attitude. At this point, we had been at the dealership for over 4 hours and all we had gotten was terrible customer service, no honesty & fed a bunch of nonsense. We were talked to like we were children when we questioned the fees of everything & eventually ended the conversation and walked out. Overall, don't waste your time here. Everybody tries to place the blame on another person, nobody is truthful and the deals are BS. I was referred to Kunes Country through a loan service and went to test drive vehicles as I was "pre-approved" for a loan. Called ahead as I was in the area and was told to come in. Had the paperwork with me for financials, though in reality, I should have said I forgot this (I really wasn't going to buy a car that day). Explained that my wife wasn't with me and that I wanted to scope out what was available before I brought her with (Kunes Country is about an hour drive from my home). I had previously discussed several vehicles that they had on the lot that were within my financial means, and I wished to test drive. First, they tried to "trade" the lease that I had which was about to end. This WAS NOT to my financial advantage; I was under mileage on my lease, had several months of the extended warranty left, and a year of prepaid maintenance left. All of those can be cashed out when turned it in at the original dealer. Of course, none of that matters to Kunes Country, they just want to make a deal that suits them, not their customer. I also told them that my prerequisites were a vehicle with air conditioning and cruise control when they pressed me on what I wanted. Nevermind the fact that I dealt with their nice internet person and told them WHICH SPECIFIC VEHICLES I wanted to test drive (that had the features, and then some that I wanted) and was ASSURED that those vehicles would be ready for me. After waiting NEARLY TWO HOURS to just do a darn test drive, they put me in a vehicle that wasn't any of the ones I came to drive. Why did I do this? Well, it was a vehicle I may have considered, so I figured after two hours at least I would drive it. The thing didn't have cruise control! (Didn't I just tell them what my prerequisites were?!?) They then tried to persuade me to take it home to show my wife (this would not have ended well). The whole time they were talking about this "miracle last minute financing offer" that they had. Little did they know that their rate was not a miracle - it was higher than the rate I got at CarMax. I never got to test drive ANY of the vehicles I came for after waiting nearly three hours. They also didn't show me the offer they proposed, just told me the monthly payment which was 25% higher than I was comfortable with, with a higher down payment than I was comfortable with (perhaps it was because they were putting me in a car that was 50% more expensive than I was looking at!) To top it off, 3 days later in my mailbox I receive a form letter from the finance manager said something along the lines of "thank you for test driving the [blank]." Talk about phoning it in... In the end, I bought a car at Carmax, with an extended warranty, with the features I wanted, at a lower cost, lower interest rate, lower down payment, and lower monthly, and was treated like a human being. Perhaps maybe they treat new car customers better, but this was bait and switch classic car dealer crap all the way. read more

Bought A 1971 Corvette that they advertised on Cargurus. They stated corvette was recently painted by them. After buying the car within 3 months, paint blistering started to appear. Found out they didn't paint the car as they stated, but sent it out for a cheap cover-up. They couldn't have sold the car at their price if they would have stated paint issue or shown pictures of the paint blisters. Advise all buyers that they deceived me, they will deceive you. After a week of them telling me I "had to come in just to finalize everything and test drive the 2 cars" I had narrowed down, I finally caved. I got there and the 2 cars I had been conversing with them about werent available. They had me wait for 45 min (I still don't know why) while they said they were finalizing paperwork which I thought was already complete. THEY decided that I wanted something totally different and without my requirements. Since I was waiting for an insurance check to come in, they said I didn't have to put anything down to hold the car~until I got there and they said this wasn't true! I've been taking my cars here for years for service and will no longer be doing so. I dropped my car off for a standard oil change and to check a tire monitoring system service message - they replaced a tire sensor - then on my way home the light went back on, brought it back in - they replaced a remote key sensor because they said it was related - while driving home again the light comes on. I called the next day to inform them and to ask for my money back ($450). People I talked to needed to check with their regional figure heads multiple times which ultimately concluded to not give me a refund. This is not right - you replaced things that obviously didn't need to be replaced because it did not fix the issue. I have been dealing with this company for the last 3 years dealt with Jason at first traded in my car for an equinox which was on a lease in 2 years I had hit my miles, so I took it in asked if I could buy it and was told I could not to make a long story shorty I was bullied into another lease doubling my payments which I had told the sales men that I could not afford, but he couldn't let me leave with my old equinox he put me in a 2018 which I hate I was made to feel like I had no say or option. I called and spoke with Michelle in july or august because I again have put to many miles on my lease and was told to call back when I hit a certain mileage and to boot at this time found out Jason had rolled my new lease still owing $10,000.00 so now my $20,000.00 car I owe $30,000.00 on, so I call michelle back in October as per our discussion and I am ghosted not a peep, so 3 weeks later I call back speak with manger Adam he says he will call me back the very next day it has now been over a month I finally call back yesterday speak with Eric and he says he will call me in the am after he is done looking at my deal. I'm not sure how to rate this. I love my 2 Chevy cars, the service is prompt and competent but I need to add something more. We have a raging pandemic going on. As I entered and waited in the service department to do the paperwork on my car I saw a few employees with masks but many others walking through there without them and some with them below their noses and others with bandanas which are ineffective. I'm in a vulnerable COVID group so my concern is heightened. Notably all the customers in the waiting area were wearing masks. The science is out there now and safety measures do save lives. It seems the masking policy is loosely enforced or maybe is not of serious concern. Either way it feels like a half hearted effort when you're there. I get that in our community mask wearing might still be viewed as a political issue by some which presents a bit of difficulty for management. But for myself and many others I suspect they prefer to do business in a place where they feel safe and where they feel the proprietor cares about their safety as well. So my request is that you have a more serious masking/COVID safety policy. With the pace of vaccinations ramping up significantly it hopefully won't be too much longer before we can all get closer to normal again. Everyone in the community just needs to push for a few months longer. read more

My fiancee and I purchased a 2019 Cadillac XT4 from this dealership. All we have had is issues with the XT4 since we got it. We filed a separate complaint to Cadillac as well. 3 main reasons for this complaint 1) Kunes mishandled the financing from the beginning. They improperly calculated the financing and we had to pay $2000 out of pocket. 2) Their service department is the worst experience I have ever worked with. I have had Acura and Infiniti vehicles and the service level for a premium car was 10x what these guys did. On our first free visit, I sat in the waiting area for 2 hrs without being told the additional service they were doing. No communication, and the dirtiest service area I have ever been in. No friendly service when I arrived. And this is Cadillac???? 3) Constant issues with this vehicle and they choose to ignore us. I made multiple calls to this dealership, even to the GM. No callback. When I did get a hold of the service manager, he was rude on the call to me personally and then proceeded to tell me the sales manager told him to not help us. What kind of service and operation do they have here? This is the 3rd Cadillac my fiancee has purchased, and probably the last. To summarize the XT4 issues, the main complaint is that the fuel economy we were told would be 25-29 mpg. This is a 4 cylinder vehicle vs the SRx's she had before. We have gotten no better than 20 mpg. Mostly under 20. We drive it highway miles 98% of the time. So disgusted with the XT4 and the overall Cadillac experience, I personally would NEVER buy one ever. My Acura and Infiniti experience has been 10x better than anything I could imagine with Cadillac and the dealer. Not only have I spent 20+ hrs of my personal time from work and home to fix an issue that isn't ours, but we also used my car mileage and gas to make do with not having an XT4. I am so upset you can't imagine. No offer to remedy. Oh yeah, did I mention they never return calls because they don't like dealing with the mess they created? Oh yeah, that is the icing on the cake. BE VERY CAREFUL when dealing with these people (or any Kunes dealership in Wisconsin for that matter), particularly if you are buying a used car. To be safe, you should probably ask them to certify, in writing, that they are selling you a vehicle that has a valid Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and Title. Otherwise, you may not be able to re-sell the vehicle you are intending to buy without going through an extensive and time-consuming process to obtain a valid VIN and Title. My experience on a similar issue is that even though I made them aware that I was having a problem re-selling a vehicle I had previously purchased from them, they did NOTHING to help me solve the problem. read more

I bought a car from here, when I was looking at it I noticed scratches and the salesman Nick told me they would be repaired. I took it back once and it was "buffed out" yet it looks no different. Before I signed the papers I asked if there were any problems could I bring it back and was assured it would be taken care of. I have since written the manager and sent text messages to the salesman with no response my car was $18000 and has alot of scratches on the roof and a tire that's loosing air even though they told me there were new tires. I went there at night and they talk fast and you take your car home the same day. They let you make payments on your deposit and if they can't process your payment they are will quick to call but if you have a complaint don't expect an answer. This place is a joke. My mom bought a car from Kunes Ford in Delavan a couple weeks ago. She went in as a last resort because her previous car wasn't safe to drive anymore. They made her believe that she was getting a good deal and that they cared about her safety, so they set her up with a 2011 GMC Terrain. They still needed to do some safety checks on the car, said there was a problem with the catalytic converter. 2 days later they "fixed' the problem and gave her her car. THE NEXT DAY the car was riding kind of rough and exhaust was coming out of the middle of the car. Then multiple other things started going on it so today she took it into this place because Ford was too busy. She went in expecting them to actually fix the car that they "fixed" in the first place, for free. Which would only be right because they sold her a damn lemon. They laughed in her face. I contacted Jon Burns about trading in my vehicle for a newer model and got an immediate response. He was professional, helpful, and prompt in answering my questions. He was able to find time for me t come in the following Saturday to test drive a vehicle, which I deiced to buy. While I waited for my new car to arrive, Jon gave me daily updates on the location and status. He called me as soon as it arrived to the dealership and I was able to pick up the car right away. Horrible experience. Saw a tahoe that didn't have a price or mileage with the post online so, as a last resort, I called. That's how they usually get you. The sales lady, Amanda, told me the price dropped to $21,***, but wasn't sure for mileage. Transferred me to sales guy Vinny. He said it had 120,000 miles and was listed for $23,***. Given it was an ltz, I was pretty surprised with the price difference. Didn't like it that there was two dfferent prices, and said I wasn't interested and would be in touch if anything changed. They suggested another vehicle, a gmc yukon. I asked for the price and they said it would be below my budget. No number, just "below your budget". Told them I would think about it. That was Thursday. They called me back Friday afternoon asking if I was interested still and I just said I would run it over with my husband and let them know. So, having spent all Friday morning dealing with another institution that couldn't come to an agreement, the deal fell through and I called Kunes for the available cars they had. Explained to Amanda that I wanted to make sure that I was able to get financed with my trade-in only and nothing down, she said it would be possible and would relay the circumstances over to financing to let them know of the agreement of coming down to their dealership. I told her specifically that if I was driving down, it had to be guaranteed financing, no money down, trade-in only, kind of a deal. And that I was driving home in a new car. That was the only way I would drive an hour to their dealership. She took my basic info and reassured me that everything was a green light. The sales guy Vinny was going to call us to confirm. So, more than half my day gone, my husband and I hurried out to run our errands that was put on hold all day and got a call telling us to come in. So had to run back to our house and clean out the car. Was told to bring proof of insurance and id only. Strange, seemed like it was too easy. But went anyways. Got stuck in traffic, got calls from Amanda and Vinny asking if we were anywhere near them. Vinny said because he forgot it was a Friday and not Thursday, they closed earlier than usual, and their financial institutions may be closing or closed by the time we got there. It was close to closing time by the time we got there, but I simply told him over the phone that we will just submit anything that was needed so that if they could just process it right away in the morning ASAP. Arrived finally, and greeted by Vinny, he was friendly. To learn that nothing was looked over or talked about between Amanda and Vinny, nothing was "pre-approved", nothing was relayed on our situation. Vinny turned out to be a new hire of two months! Good thing I had downloaded my missing info needed for the application. It was submitted and after 20 mins. We were told that itwould have to wait until tomorrow due to no financing institutions being open anymore. Very frustrating at this point, because it was a waste of gas and time pretty much. But, me being an optimistic person, Vinny told me it would be the first thing he did in the morning. So there was hope. Saturday morning, waited and waited. No call. So I called around 9:30. Vinny was busy with another customer in the store. So I told them I would call back in an hour. 10:20 rolls around and I am able to talk to Vinny, he says he's just about to submit it to their financing. Says he'll call when he hears something. My husband has an app for his credit and it notifies him when his info is being ran through, it ding on his phone around 11-11:30. So had to go on with my day because we were busy Saturday. They never called back. No response, no explanation, no "you've been denied." no "you've been approved with special conditions,." Just silence on their end. It's Monday and still nothing. Just a complete waste of time and credit check. Feel sorry for the sales guy cause it seems like he has no proper training and guide. His manager seemed to chew him out when we were there, not sure. All I heard was, "you'll learn from this." Piece of crap customer service. Never recommending ever to go here or ever going back. NEVER bring your vehicle here to have service done, period! Short version: The staff at Kunes Cadillac is COMPLETELY and TOTALLY INCOMPETENT. My experience in dealing with Ben, their "service professional," was completely unacceptable. I would rather pull my hair out and bang my head against the wall than have another conversation with this man. I know children with more common sense and manners than he possesses. But, enough about the staff, let's get down to the actual service. Service: My vehicle was in their possession for over 2 weeks to get an oil change, rear rotor changed, ABS sensor, speed sensor, a spare tire cover, and diagnostics. Which, in itself is completely unacceptable. When my vehicle finally departed, it still had a bad shake and noise coming from the rear. After being driven 65 miles, the answer came about: THEY DIDN'T TIGHTEN MY LUG NUTS AND LEFT ONE OFF!!!!!!!! The wheel was less than 10 miles from completely coming off!! How many people could have been hurt? Kunes Cadillac refuses to take responsibility for their HORRIBLE service and is unwilling to do anything for a (potentially) lifetime customer. Let's think about this from a business perspective: - The customer is young (20s) and is driving a 2011 SRX ($32k book value). Maybe we should treat him good, he will probably own more Cadillacs in the future and will be a life time customer if we treat him well - We are a Cadillac dealership, we are NOT cheap, we SHOULD offer unparallelled service and customer service - We SHOULD TIGHTEN LUG NUTS, as this is a major liability and could cost me as a business 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars, not to mention a horrible PR nightmare, in legal and hospital bills - We should be able to spend $15 to make a few hundred or thousand - The customer is always right and should be treated with respect - We should have a staff that is respectful and well-mannered Basically, Kunes should revisit their ENTIRE operation, head to toe. My experience (full version): I arrived at Kunes Cadillac in Delavan because of the convenience in location to have my recently purchased used 2011 Cadillac SRX serviced. BIG MISTAKE! I walked in to drop the vehicle off and dealt with a man named Ben. He asked me for my name, which I gave to him and told me thanks as if to conclude our business her. I asked him if he would maybe like my phone number to contact me and the vehicle information, HELLO!!! Why should I have to ask you to take my information? I informed him that I have dash lights on and a loud rattle from the rear and to please diagnose it and get back to me. I then left. I received a phone call an hour later asking me for my address. Why wouldn't you get my complete information in person when I was there? You are wasting my time! The car and situation: 2011 Cadillac SRX with 14k miles on it. My vehicle had 4 dash lights on, ABS, traction control, tire pressure, and airbag. There was a LOUD (even someone hard of hearing COULD NOT miss this noise, period!) noise coming from the rear of the vehicle, my thought was brake rotor related.
