I liked how they posted how you can adjust sugar/ice levels. Too bad they did not really honor that. After hearing lots of praise from my fellow Yelpers about this place and its convenience in location to where my car was parked. I gave Kung Fu a try from my normal trip over to Quickly. Unfortunately, my first experience was not a great one. I asked for half ice and half sugar. I only got half ice! I took one sip of my regular milk tea with bubbles and thought I just took in sugar with milk tea, not the other way around! On top of that the straw I was handed had a cut on the top of it =(. Aside from my drink being not exactly to my specifications and a malfunctioning straw, service was pretty good. There were a good amount of people on line and my most easily made regular black milk tea with bubbles came out at a reasonable rate. I will add that there's plenty of seating in the food court-ish kind of area if you want to have somewhere to chat! Whether you are coming or going from the downtown Flushing area, the place is very convenient for those who park in public parking across the street! First time I tried Kung Fu tea was in the East Village and then I saw they opened a location near me in Queens Crossing Mall - yippy! Their teas are tastier than other places and the bubbles are perfectly done. I like that you can customize your sweetness level and also their option for lactose-free milk drinks. The grapefruit green tea is really refreshing and I think they use fresh squeezed juice as I saw an employee using a juicer. Compared to Quickly's, their drink menu isn't as extensive, the prices are about 50 cents to $1 more and they don't give a VIP discount but their drinks are better. I've only been to this location on the weekends and there's always a looooong wait. They need to find a way to speed up the ordering process to keep up with the stream of customers. My friend and I came specifically to Kung Fu because we love Kung Fu's milk tea, but when we ordered, the workers were so distracted with flirting with each other that they messed up our orders. My friend's bubble tea had way too much tea and my bubble tea had way too much milk. I'm very disappointed in the workers for prioritizing their flirting over proper and courteous service. I came to Kung Fu tea & was reluctant to try it, bubble tea is bubble tea & if it isnt Ten Ren then it usually wont cut it for me. However, my friend coaxed me into trying (& bribed me by saying she'll pay) so I said why not. The grapefruit green tea drink stood out to me, so I ordered that with tapioca. I feel like the line went pretty quickly, maybe I went at a convenient time? (It was super hot outside though). My friend got the .. Yakulte (sp?) drink, which is yogurt flavored I believe, and our two drinks came out to 7$. SEVEN BUCKS FOR TWO BUBBLE TEASS?! I was pretty surprised, usually bubble tea is pretty inexpensive. The grapefruit green tea, was delicious & refreshing (with pulp & I usually hate pulp but this had a perfect amount) The Yakulte drink was also really good, tasted like the korean yogurt drinks. The tapioca was compareable to Ten Ren's, it was soft, chewy, and sweet (a LOT better than Quicklys). Since I work downstairs of Queens Crossing, and Ten Ren is out of the way .. I come to Kung Fu tea when I want something super oober sweet, that doesn't require using a fork, knife, or plate. It's my lazy-sweet tooth go-to. I've had bubble tea from all across the city and boroughs and Kung Fu tea is a good place, but not the best in being innovative or creative. A franchise is a franchise, so taste wise it's good like any other. However the service is plain horrible. This is the second time they made a mistake. I ordered 3 large grapefruit green tea with lychee jelly, paid, got the reciept and rushed to the bathroom because I needed to. When I came back, I realized I got 3 passionfruit green tea. I told them I ordered grapefruit but the reciept showed passionfruit. It was my fault for not looking at the reciept but if they really cared, they would of offered to make me the correct order. Passionfruit green tea is commonly ordered by customers anyway so KFT isn't losing any money. Of course they didn't agree to and that chubby dude looked at me like "now move on. What else do you want?". When KFT at bay parkway, brooklyn made a mistake, they offered to make me my new drink and apologized without me even asking. Now that's great customer service. Oh and when I got home, I realized one of them didn't even have jelly in it. Seriously? These workers here are always talking while working as well as if their saliva won't go into our drinks. Why can't they hire ppl who are bilingual because apparently passionfruit and grapefruit sounds the same to them. There are so many ABCs, Koreans, and even non asians coming here all the time. One of the worst bubble tea spots, ever. And I've tried many. I always hated it because it was too sweet and it's still sweet after I ask for less sugar. However, my rent experience has prompted me to write this review. I haven't had Kung Fu Tea in a long time so I decided to give this place another chance because these past few years, Kung Fu tea spots have been popping up all over the city. When I went to order, I ordered a large milk tea and before I could adjust the sugar levels, ice levels, etc. the girl immediately told me it was $4.25. Uh, excuse me? Can I please customize my drink first? So i told her I want regular ice and 30% sweetness and she said okay, but she didn't put it down in the machine. I thought that was weird but didn't think much of it anymore because I thought she would just tell the person making it or something. Nope. I paid and waited for my drink and when it came, I took a sip and it was a mouthful of sugar. Diabetes in a cup. Waaaaayyy too sweet. What the heck? How does anyone like this? I have an extreme sweet tooth and if I think it's too sweet, then something is wrong. The workers don't seem like they care about their job or making the drinks, they just whatever it. Also, the bubbles are bad. They're chewy and too soft. I don't like it. I will never be buying from Kung Fu Tea again. I will be sticking to my beloved Ten Ren tea. Although it's more expensive, the bubbles are far better than Kung Fu Tea's and their drink actually taste good, not like it's about to kill you with sugar. Kung fu tea? I'll pass. My favorite place to get bubble tea. They really do their bubbles justice. Tender, delicious, and just a little bit of that chewy consistency that makes it so numblingly addicting. They tend to be on the sugary side so ask for 50% sugar. I always ask for bubbles + jelly and my favorite flavor is the Signature White Gourd Tea flavor. Come try it out. One of my favorite bubble tea places. Honestly I got really addicted to this place but thank god Im over it haha. This place showed pop out of nowhere in Flushing one day and when I tried it, boom... I kept coming back. Now, I see it everywhere. They expanded all over Queens and Manhattan. First off, my favorites are the ice green milk tea and black milk tea with bubbles. The white gourd with jelly, the frozen selections ( green tea, coffee frap, ect).What I love about this place is that you can adjust the sugar content. They give you options from no sugar to 25% sugar to the higest content. I like that idea. They also have a lot of hot speciality drink options. The green milk tea hot selection is amazing on a cold winter. I actually crave this in cold weather AND they have a large selection of add ons to choose from. One star less compared to the original Main Street location. The drinks are still good but the Queens Crossing location's wait time is significantly longer, even though it's a lot more spacious and the lines are supposed to be less confusing. I've been here a few times and there's always this one cashier girl who's not very good at doing her job. I literally stared at her for 5 minutes while waiting for my order to be taken, then waited another 5 just to stare at the drink that's probably mine while she took her time taking orders and there are 5 - 6 drinks lined up next to her. My friend told me in great detail how awesome Kung Fu Tea was in Queens Crossing. I mistakenly went to this one first, but then had a bubble tea from the other Kung Fu Tea in Queens Crossing as well. Both were excellent though the other location may have a slight edge. This location was not nearly as busy, but were efficient in getting me my two Taro milk teas. Cash only. The Taro was delicious, and smooth and creamy with lots of flavor. Fresh and not from a powder, which I really appreciated. Definitely was a fan, and would come back. I would agree this is good for people who are around the area, but if you're from socal where tea places are so abundant, prepare to be disappointed. On several different visits, I have tried the green milk tea with grass jelly, regular milk tea with pudding, and WoW milk with grass jelly. I get it, it's a good cup of pearl milk tea but for $4 a pop you would think you would churn them out a bit quicker or get more of those shakey machines. I noticed the servers using the same tops instead of washing them so your lychee can taste like taro. After trying Kung Fu Tea, there is no where else I would drink bubble tea from. I usually order the kung fu milk tea with bubbles, kung fu milk tea with herbal jelly, or the grapefruit yogurt drink. All delicious. There is something about the flavor of the milk tea here that nowhere else can replicate; the tapioca pearls here are also soft and full of tea flavor as well. In the wintertime, I like to order the kung fu milk tea with bubbles hot and it's just perfect for the weather! Oh happy day! There are now TWO Kung Fu Tea locations in Flushing. More delicious Kung Tea goodness to go around. Located in the Queens Crossings' food court, you can now buy your drink and sit down. And once the weather gets nicer, there will be outside seating as well! It's a nice change from the other location on Main Street. However, I think they could have a more efficient system for ordering and picking up drinks. It often gets crowded around the register because there are clumps of people waiting to order and waiting to pick up their drinks. It gets confusing because there are so many just standing around that you're never too sure who's waiting to order and who's waiting on their bubble tea. Other than that, I'm quite happy that there's another Kung Fu Tea in Flushing. Even though it's close to the original location, it's along the path I take to the bus which means I don't have to go out of my way for Kung Fu bubble tea so I approve. One downside is, my wallet is taking a heavy hit from this new location. But I don't mind too much as long as they continue to make their yummy bubble tea. read more

This is a shared space with a few other restaurants inside the Queens Crossing Mall. Superb! my order was the Milk Green Tea with bubbles and green beans. The taste of the whole drink was just awesomely yummy. Even the picture on the wall makes it look good and I like the black design of the cups. The amount of sugar just blended very well with the green tea and milk, making the liquid a delicious smooth sugary treat. Sipped up with those perfect textured tapioca balls and soft green beans made the drink a delight. See my perception of the drink is that tapioca balls have to have a chewy texture to it, Kung Fu Tea makes it the perfect texture, solid, chewy and smooth. It's the perfection of each component and combination that makes me compare to other bubble tea places and rank this place top bar. Other places don't have the right sweetness or the tapioca balls are too soggy or have bad texture to them. I don't like giving places 5 stars unless I think it's perfect, close to perfect or a place I really enjoy and this was not a good treat, but an awesome treat. I think it was one of the better of the top 5 bubble teas I ever had and I have had many. It's the same price as elsewhere. The girl taking my order spoke English and was slightly pleasant, can I give another half star for that alone? Then the guy serving the drink was professional enough to offer a bag, napkins and was also pleasant to deal with. All three I order was not for me alone, I had ordered two more in addition to my order and then bought some food after getting these drinks, so they sat in the bag for 30 minutes, we didn't sip them right away. So 30 minutes after getting our drinks, we poked the straw in and the drinks are, again, still superb after sitting for 30 minutes! The person I buy one of the drinks for tells me, she sees the kids with them all the time during summer and the lines long. I only had to wait for 5 people ahead of me and it was not a long wait. I come here pretty often, since I work pretty close. When I was but a mere infrequent Flushing visitor, I was obsessed with TenRen, but then I learned about Kung Fu Tea. I usually get the Bubble Milk Tea with half sugar and extra ice (WAY too sweet)-- I really love the customizable aspect of the milk tea. I do not like how expensive it can be at $2.75 for a basic bubble tea in the smallest size available. Although I am a huge fan, the reason I only give this place three stars is because of its inefficiency. During breaks when there are many children, the staff doesn't really seem to know how to handle the crowd. When they call out numbers, they call them out in Mandarin, and only SOMETIMES do they do so in English. I also wish there were an easier way to handle receipts, as it makes it difficult to make an office Bubble Tea Run sometimes. I am a loyal customer, and probably will be for a long time. read more

I have never heard of "Kung Fu Tea" until I came to Flushing. From the reviews above, it appears that there are several "Kung Fu Tea" places. I have never been to this tea place nor this mall but I'm glad I've had. This place has very cool names for their drinks. I tried the Kung Fu Green Tea and the Kung Fu Wow Milk Tea. For some reason, it made me feel more Asian just by saying the "Wow'' in the tea. :-D But in terms of the Green Tea, it had no tea flavor. It tasted like sugar and water. The Milk Tea was the same. No tea flavor. It had way too much milk in it. With that said, that doesn't mean that I did not enjoy this place. Yes, the lines are quite long but the teas are quite refreshing on a hot summer day but I think going to a mall and having tea by yourself is not as fun as bringing someone along. :-) read more
