Since this location opened up, I've been going regularly to support the local place for the last few months. However, after my most recent visit, I have to say I'm done with this place because of the service I received. Simply put, the attendant had no clue what was stocked and what wasn't, which led to me having to give my order several times. What's worse is that when the order was finally complete, they ended up charging me multiple times without voiding or refunding me previous charges made to my card. Even after multiple assurances that my order had been "canceled" and I'd be refunded, it is not the case at all. Now that I have to go through the hassle of trying to get the charges refunded, which could have been avoided if the attendant had customer service skills and knew how to void charges from the register. It's because of these customer service issues that I am not going to order future drinks from this establishment. Frustrating frequent customers is not the way to build and establish business. read more

This place is first of two KFTs I pass on my way to work, which is a blessing and a bane depending on how you look at it. I was planning to get the hot green milk tea (my absolute favorite) before I even left the house, but after seeing how nice the weather was, I thought fruit teas were the way to go. I got a medium veryberry green tea, $3.50, and they still take credit cards with no minimum (yaaass) Unfortunately, It wasn't as good as I had hoped. It was more tart than sweet. There was a very strong strawberry/raspberry flavor, which I'm not a fan of. There were also bits and pieces of berries at the bottom of the cup, which added to the tartness and I felt it overpowered the floral green tea. I wish it had more of a blueberry taste. And even worse, I ended up dropping most of it and it exploded on the ground as I was transferring trains, so I didn't get to thoroughly enjoy it and I was left with very sticky hands:( I'm clearly very emotionally attached to my tea lol read more

I purchased the mango green tea and it was so delicious! I highly recommend it. The only downsize is that it's bit overpriced and will cost you a bit more than the neighboring Starbucks. read more

Worst Kung Fu Tea location anywhere. First off, the cashier was completely rude and hurrying me up even though I was taking orders for my family and then he acted as if he wanted us out of there as quickly as possible. A nice addition to drink and dessert options on Austin street. I stopped by around lunchtime yesterday, I've been thinking about checking them out since I heard they were opening up in Forest Hills. There was an order before me and another customer while I was there, not bad for a random afternoon a few days after the grand opening. I've been to the other Kung Fu Tea locations before, so I knew what to expect. I got a green tea with milk, bubbles, and less sugar (you can customize ice, sugar, and amount of tapioca here) - I saw 3 people working at the shop, one was cleaning the window, one taking my order, and one person making the drink. The space is clean, with seats to sit by the window looking at the passerby's on Austin street and in the back where I can imagine people hanging out after school, or a movie. They are open pretty late (I think 10:30pm on the weekend) - this place will definitely be popular in the summer when people are looking for a refreshing tea or fruity slushy or ice. Since it's a brand new operation, I'm going to cut them some slack, but it did take them longer than usual for my tea to be prepared and the the lady behind the counter wasn't sure how to make the drink and had to ask for help. That's totally fine, but when I finally got my bubble tea it was watered down. It tasted like shaken milk with a hint of green tea and tapioca. The cup was about 85% filled with a lot of foam. Although it was a large cup ($4.50), I felt like the content was made for a small. Overall, I will return, because I love having the option of walking to get bubble tea in the neighborhood. Simple put... best bubble tea I've had in NYC without a single doubt. Best Taro flavor ever. Whoever their supplier is.. I must find them! (I like making bubble tea at home when I don't feel like shelling out $5 a pop). The "nata" jelly (AKA super delicious amazing coconut jelly) was awesome! They had actually run out of boba (bubbles).. so I subbed for the jelly and was glad I did. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors! This Kung Fu Tea branch is in a convenient location. Relatively close to the subway and lots of other food/shopping nearby. I've been to the Kung Fu Tea on Main St. a couple of years ago and I loved it, but once it became more popular the quality went down so I avoided Kung Fu Tea for a while. Recently I visited this store to fulfill my bubble tea craving and I was satisfied. The drink was what I expected it to taste like. I ordered just the normal milk black tea with tapioca. It was just the right amount of sweetness and the bubbles were not too squishy and were not too hard. They were just right. However, I do think the bubble tea is overpriced here. So I'm probably only going to return if I have a craving that needed to be satisfied ASAP. read more

The store owner is friendly and an amazing person. He's always working hard. He keeps his business clean, and respectable to clients. My favorite drink is Wow Milk & Chai Milk tea both with tapioca. It's aways a great experience. I wish the store owner nothing but the best. I have been going there once or even twice a week since the store opened. Somehow, the boba are perfectly made. I can't believe the negative reviews based solely on price... If you think this place is expensive then you need to leave Queens for once in your life and do some light traveling I mean seriously. Compared to CoCo Tea in the city the prices are about a $1 cheaper on average. If I'm going to pay the same price for a drink at Starbucks I'd rather have a the option of a versatile bubble tea. On top of that they will customize drinks to include 30% or 70% less of the original sugar content. I eat fairly healthy so I think that's amazing and I've never found another bubble tea place that will do it besides the Kung Fu tea chain. On top of that they serve Lactaid milk so I don't have to miss out on the pudding or milk teas anymore. The staff is friendly and helpful from my experience. And seriously stop complaining that they don't take credit cards for a $4 tea. In Queens you have to carry cash for small purchases that's just standard. One time when I didn't have cash the girl let me charge it anyway so try being nice it'll get you far. The grapefruit green tea is always a favorite and I love the different jelly options instead of the standard tapioca. Kung Fu tea has been in Boston forever so we're psyched to see you in Forest Hills. Yum! read more

One of the best boba teas in forest hills. First and important. Customer service is the best 10 stars. The Bobas is very sweet and tender. I tried some spots and the boba was horrible. But this place are the best when making Bobas. It is just right. Price is sooo reasonable and the cleanliness is supar. I really like this place. Cons. The is no cons so far. I never enjoyed milk tea until I was introduced to KungFu milk tea. So when I saw that it's coming to Austin Street (right behind my work), I thought I might need to file bankruptcy after few months of having KungFu tea everyday. However, upon grand opening I rushed over. I shouldn't have rushed over. It was all powder milk and no tea:( I thought it was just me but my coworker who was expose to KungFu tea because of me said the same thing. So I went over to other locations to compare... Huh? How can they possibly mess up an order twice? At first I asked for a KF Green Milk Tea with herbal jelly-- an easy request. However,they gave me black tea. I informed them about the mistake, and the cashier was less than happy, in fact, she seemed to be annoyed. I understand that making a new order is always a hassle,but the original order was an easy one, I did not add any special instructions. I thanked the girl for fixing the drink, after she begrudgingly told her co-workers to do so. She didn't respond nor did she apologize for the mistake; some simple courtesy would've made my experience much more enjoyable. After I received my drink, the cashier simply glared at me, not saying anything. Get this-- after taking a sip out of my second drink, I realized that they managed to screw it up again by not adding any sugar! I've always come to this Kung Fu tea for my tea needs because of its close proximity to my house. However, I don't think I'll be returning after this less than pleasant experience. Let me start off by saying the new "Oreo Milk Tea" is really good. This will lead you to ask, "Why in the world did you give them 2 stars?" Part of the experience of any food service.... is the service I've been to this location many times as I walk through this part of town at least 3 times a week. Today On August 22, they had a promotion on 3 new flavors. For the next 3 days, you can buy 1, get 1 free on the 3 new flavors, which are Almond, Oreo and Coconut. My wife and I were walking from Barnes and Nobles and we stopped by since the giant promotional poster stares you in the face while you walk by. You would believe that the promotion is to encourage customers to try out all the new flavors so you can pay full retail for them 4 days later. Nowhere on the poster did it state any rules about the promotion other than it was to be held on Aug 22-24 and was valid on 3 new flavors. Nowhere on the poster did it say that you had to order the same item twice for it to qualify for the promotion. My wife and I entered the store and excitedly said in English, "We want one Oreo and one Coconut." The gentleman with glasses and a "STATES" jersey took our order and asked the female preparer in Chinese, "They asked for two different flavors. Can they still use the promotion?" In Chinese, the female employee replied, "Of course not. If we give them two different flavors, how do we make money?" The gentleman in the jersey replied in Chinese, "But they are both the same price." The other employee in her frustrated response said, 'I wouldn't give it to them." As she turns around to talk to me, her response in English was, "No, you can only order the same." So, we ordered two Oreo flavored Milk Teas and yes, they were good. However, I didn't get to try the Almond or Coconut because the idea of carrying around 4 or even 6 drinks for two people defies the laws of logic. Here is the problem I have with this particular situation. 1. It is rude to speak in Chinese so that your customers do not understand you when you can fully speak English. 2. It is rude to assume that other people do not understand the language. 3. It is rude to be unprepared to follow through on a promotion that you established yourself. 4. It is rude that you made up rules because you feel the customer was taking advantage of the store. 5. It is insulting to anyone's intelligence that you equated two different flavors with the same value as the customer ripping you off. Two cups is two cups. The cost is the same. This happened at 11:30am and my wife and I were the only people in the store. Don't you think you should have as many customers try and promote these same flavors? read more

I am a huge fan of Kung Fu Bubble Tea among all the bubble tea joints around! They serve their bubble tea with a real tea base rather than the powder mix ones which many others tend to serve. You can also choose the level of sweetness which is a big plus! Be sure to try the green tea milk bubble tea! It's one of my favs! It's about time a legit bubble tea shop opened up in the FH neighborhood and I'm super psyched to welcome this one with open arms! Yay! read more
