This is my first time trying Kung Fu Tea. Their service was pretty decent. I'm excited to see a boba tea shop in this area and immediately ordered one of my favorite go-to flavors when trying a new place, taro milk tea. I also added popping boba and aloe jelly. Unfortunately, the tea had a horrible artificially fragrance I couldn't taste the taro flavor. The fragrance was so off putting it overpowered everything including the aloe jelly and I couldn't finish my almost $9 drink (the popping boba and aloe jelly cost $.95 each and tip was included). If my usual go-to flavor for first time tries is so bad I don't dare try other flavors or combinations. I really wanted to like this boba shop but alas was very disappointed. read more

This place has so many drink, Takayaki and macaron options and so many cool Asian snacks!! I felt bad for the people working in that food hall, because on a weekday, it's pretty dead. But this place is worth going to if you're craving a good variety of drinks including slushies or teas with boba. I did mainly go for the takiyaki because I love them so much, but I was a bit disappointed that here they use a croissant like batter instead of waffle. It was still good, but I think that batter goes best with their savory options and they should have the waffle batter for the sweet options. Located inside Happy Valley Food Hall with plenty of seating, it is a neighborhood go-to for a refreshing or sweet drink. The honey milk tea, taro slush and lychee punch are solid choices but a back-up is needed in case desired drinks and toppings are out of stock, as well as medium cups. read more

YESSS!!!! WE HAVE A KUNG FU TEA!!! Stopped by during their grand opening! Consistent quality every time. I got their house Kung Fu milk tea and it was the perfect end to a great day. Their boba was cooked beautifully, not hard at all. My boyfriend got a lychee green tea. It's pretty sweet (which I love), but if you prefer less sweet, definitely let them know! I also will probably get less ice next time. I'm so so happy to get another boba spot in our neighborhood!! It's located inside Happy Valley Food Hall which is a space with multiple Asian/Pacific Islander food businesses (Japanese, Korean, Hawaiian, Chinese, etc.) I love how there's something for everyone. When I saw that Kung Fu Tea was opening less than 5 minutes away from my house I was beyond excited! They are located in a food hall which is convenient if you want to get a bite of food while you're there. My boyfriend and I's favorite is the Kung Fu Milk Tea. You can never go wrong with the original. We got the large which was $5.65 and substituted the regular boba with crystal boba. Been waiting for this kung fu location to open for awhile now and the time has finally come! Small location located inside of happy valley food hall. The drinks are always consistent at the other locations and this one did not disappoint. I love the tea options here and the boba is really good, not too chewy. When I lived in CA, Kung Fu Tea was one of my go to places.

A dud. A disappointment. The other Kung Fu Tea by Streets of Tanasbourne is better. I went during their bogo free promotion. First off, their drinks weren't filled to the top of the cup which felt like a scam. Second, the workers weren't paying attention and putting ice in 2 of my drinks when I specifically asked for NO ICE. When I pointed it out, they scooped the ice out and just added WATER (shouldn't it be tea?). And thus my drink essentially tasted like water because they diluted it. Their boba was also just hard and didn't taste good. They're located at the Happy Valley food hall. And there happened to be a big gathering/party of football fans watching the 49ers vs Seahawks game. They were SO LOUD. Constantly screaming and cheering. I understand the excitement, but felt like it was disrespectful to other guests and the workers. My ears were ringing afterwards. The workers could barely hear me and I could barely hear them. I'm wondering if this happens regularly when there is a sports game. I will not be returning and taking my business elsewhere. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would! Came in to order two drinks. They do not offer coffee but it's on the menu. Asked if I could get tea and lemonade mixed and they girl was very rude and just said no I can't do that because it wouldn't taste good! Horrible experience. I walked out and didn't order anything. I am going to file a complaint. Zero customer service skills. Save your time and money! Give your dollars to someone who deserves them! Not them! Customer service: non-existent. Tapioca pearls overcooked and hard. Staff doesn't even know how to use the ordering system. Why is it that I need to spend 10 minutes in line waiting to place my order when there is 4 staff members behind the counter? There was only one individual in front of me and one person waiting for their drinks. Not one person would acknowledge us to take our order until 10 minutes goes by. Do you really need 4 people to make one person's order? The lady was literally just standing there leaning on the counter holding the cups to hand to the lady to make the drinks when she very well could have been taking our orders and then go to 'help'. Came here 3-4 times through the course of a few months and every time a minimum of 1/3 of their menu was unavailable or out of stock. They never had any of the advertised specials or collaborations and what drinks/ingredients they did have in stock were just okay. Ordered a taro milk tea and a thai milk tea which both tasted bland and the drinks are over priced. I had asked for extra boba and was told they only had two servings so I couldn't get extra which was fine! When my boyfriend and I had went to get our drinks we noticed one of the workers had a cup full of boba that she was eating and tried to hide it when she noticed us,which her and her friend then laughed. read more
