    Oxaca bowl yum yum
    Payal D.

Omg I can't say enough good things about this place! Checks all the healthy eats boxes including meatless and gluten free! One of my all time faves is the oxaca as it adds a crunch with the tortilla chips, but close second for me is the almond lime bowl. I also enjoy their burger and seasonal offerings from time to time, although I do find I come back to oxaca again! Not to mention they're on Ritual! A must have for those of us stuck in meetings in the core, enabling us to order ahead and pick up just in time. Definitely a must try amongst the sea of franchise food joints that line up the path in the financial core.

K&K waffle (organic blueberries, hemp seeds and coconut-cashew cream) Found it tough and chewy. $7.50

Came here for lunch (Brookfield place food court downstairs). Nice looking take out place, I got the K&K's waffle ($7.50+ tax). The waffle was seriously disappointing because the texture is very hard and chewy. Even though it says "house made", it seemed to be made before hand and reheated or was just sitting there for too long. It wasn't light nor fluffy. It was a struggle to cut through it with my knife. Topped with blueberries, hemp seeds and maple syrup. However, I was also disappointed in the coconut-cashew cream-- it was lumpy, unevenly spread out on my waffles and it lacked cashew flavour. On the plus side, my friend's Burger of the day was delicious-- nice blend of creamy, crunchy and tangy from the avocado, tomatoes, yam, rice and salad.

    Half eaten Poke Poke bowl...

K&K changed my opinion on vegetarian foods and salads. I used to go to iQ, which I found difficult to go to even more than once a week because the food tasted so bad, and freshii, where I thought the quality of the raw ingredients were similar to that of Subway, in order to try and become healthier. I think K&K hits a good balance between high quality and tasty food and food that is health conscious - the biggest downside is that I can't seem to find the calorie counts for K&K. If I could, I would be able to better plan my calorie intake. It's been odd going meatless for over a week (and only during weekdays) as I have been going to K&K every day. My salad is the Poke Poke bowl (at $12.40 and it has tofu). There hasn't been a salad that I very much so disliked yet. EDIT: My new favorite order from K&K is the Almond Lime ($11.50) - I ask for it with sauce on the side and no bok choi (which they replace with extra mushrooms!)

Vanilla shake, first Canadian place bowl (left), almond lime (right) - super filling

Tucked away apart from the main food court (you have to turn a corner), but clean, bright, and reliable as always :) They close surprisingly late, 7:30 pm on weekdays and 3 pm on Fridays although the front grab-go section stays open much later. There is only takeout here since there are no seats except at the food court. Huge portion sizes for the mains and very filling! My brother ordered the almond lime bowl (brown rice, organic tofu, daikon, cashews, etc) and was to full for dessert lol. "I didn't know vegan food could be so filling," he said to me afterwards :p I strongly recommend the First Canadian Place bowl, especially if you prefer quinoa (complete protein!) over rice. The tempeh I wasn't a huge fan off because of the acidic taste, but pretty sure that's how it is everywhere. Brother also ordered the vanilla shake, which he said tasted like chocolate. This, he said, was also very filling. Beware many items tend to sell out in the late afternoon/evening, such as the burger. Come for lunch!

Oaxaca salad and Green juice....refreshing lite and filling

Went on a bit if wild goose chase to find this place. I went in the wrong building but used the path to find it. There was no line during lunch rush which was surprising. I had the Oaxaca salad and the Green juice. Very filling for the price and portion size. Will be back for a smoothie bowl in the near future.

    First Canadian box

I'm not sure if people are aware that this place sells salad boxes - very similar to iQ but meatless. Been working in the area for a good 2 months and always thought they only sold baked goods. Got the First Canadian box and it felt very fresh and clean. Had a whole bunch of quinoa, chopped up kale and cabbage. The maple dressing was something I looked forward to, but I found it tasteless even after using the entire container. I usually only use half of the dressing given, so that was a bit of a bummer. There's no meat in the box, but I was surprisingly very full from eating it and it lasted me until dinner time. For a meatless box though, it is a little pricey.

Tastes good and is filling, but pricey at ~$15 a bowl. Only really worth it thru meal pal (meal subscription service thru mobile app).

The storefront is in a underground food court in Torontos' financial district. It's quite clean, small, but efficient. I ordered the 3 piece vegan wings (everything here is plant based FYI) and an Asian Fusion bowl. The employee taking my order was very friendly and quick. Got my number to wait for and within 5 minutes I was on my way. Good service. However my first thing I tried after I got back to my hotel I ate the wings. Holy sodium. Almost like eating straight salt. The wings were way too salty even before dipping them in the Frank's wing sauce. Almost inedible salty for me. Minus two stars for that. The Asian Fusion bowl wasn't as salty, but still pretty strong bit of sodium. The veggies were tasty, my protein choice which was tempeh which was cooked and seasoned well. Overall not bad, but maybe let natural flavors come out in the food instead of turning towards tons of salt.

They had so many variations of these bowls and lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. The service via Uber Eats was quick and had no issues with that. When it came to the food, I was certainly underwhelming. I was not a fan of the Smoky Chipotle bowl and had thought I would love it based on the ingredients in the bowl. I found it lacked flavour and was just completely bland. The sauces had a weird aftertaste and I just did not enjoy the bowl overall. I hope the rest of their bowls are good and I just got a one off not pleasant one. I don't think I would be ordering again from this place. 5/10 recommend!

I was downtown and stumbled upon this grab-and-go spot, and it was exactly what I needed. I ordered two burrito bowls and a soup, and the total was around $50. It's awesome for anyone who's tracking their intake or just appreciates getting a perfectly balanced meal. Beyond the great food, the staff was super friendly and genuinely helpful. The prices are totally fair for the quality you get. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area and looking for a quick, healthy bite.

It's very quaint and pretty standard for the area, nothing flashy, just a simple neighbourhood restaurant. We went on a Friday around 11:30 AM and were the only table there, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. We ordered the bún bò Huế and the pad thai. Both were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. They did the job, but neither dish really stood out enough to make me crave a return visit specifically for them. That said, this is very much a no-fuss kind of place. Prices were on the more affordable side, around $15 per dish, which is always appreciated in Toronto. The atmosphere is casual, the service was straightforward, and the food came out without much of a wait. Overall, it probably wouldn't become my go-to spot, but as a vegetarian-friendly option in the area, it's a solid and easy choice if you're nearby and looking for something simple.

The entire restaurant had a beautiful, high end vibe without prices being too high for its own good. We started off with their delicious Bang Bang Broccoli and Kimchi Chick'n Baus, both of which I'd easily come back for more if this was a buffet line. The bang bang sauce was absolutely sensational and we dipped our tasty baos in it afterwards. For our mains, we divided up their Volcano Roll, Kelp Caesar Salad, and a Hawaiian Pizza. The roll was alright (I've had better at vegan sushi restaurants) but the salad and pizza were both extraordinary. In particular, the salad sent me and was a complete flavor and texture bomb. Highly recommend everyone getting this to share as it was an absolute standout. As much as we wanted room for dessert, our hunger was just too much from not eating all day. Everything here definitely hit the spot and would definitely return again the next time I'm in Toronto.
