I've had The Human Bean a few times, sometimes the coffee has been great, but most of the time it's not. As far as their smoothies and kids drinks go, they're good, but for coffee, there are much better places around here. The employees are really nice and friendly, but the coffee is lacking. It was my very first time visiting this place today. The girl taking my order seemed confused in what I was asking for. I had to clarify a couple times to make sure she was getting it correct. Upon receiving my first drink, I noticed that it looked wrong. I took it as a loss and didn't say anything (it was indeed what I didn't ask for). Even at the window the girl was distracted. Then she handed me my second drink (for my sister). This one appeared to seem correct. She tried it and said it was good. So at least one of our drinks was correct. Drive thru wasn't busy which is nice. Staff was friendly & helpful. I had ordered a candied peppermint white mocha with almond milk, it was good, but I would prefer a little more sweetness & the coffee bean topper is yum. I love The Human Bean little chocolate coffee bean candy that comes with every drink. But everytime when I try a new drink it's not what I'm expecting. PUMPKIN SNOWY GRANITA SMOOTHIE : This drink is not bad. I love their signature pumpkin spiced with cinnamon. It taste just like almost any other signature pumpkin smoothie. The only thing that I don't like about this drink is the left over sugar crystal at the bottom. The drink it self is already sweet. I'm not sure why are those sugar crystal down there for. Sipping the bottom drink is a bit rough because i have to chew those sugar crystals. RATE : 2/5 CROISANT SANDWHICH - CHICKEN PESTO : I received my sandwhich hot and flat. I believe my sandwhich got warmed up in a microwave or something because the spinach seems beaten by the heat. I can't taste any pesto on this sandwhich. All I taste is the croisant and chicken. The spinach portion is small so I can't taste the spinach at all. The presentation on this sandwhich is a bit sad. RATE : 2/5 SERVICE : Great customer service. Super friendly. Every time I come here, I am impressed each time without fail. The customer service shines the brightest here than any other coffee place I've ever been to. They have a wide variety of flavors all year round and I love that I can get a delicious pumpkin frapp any time of year. It also tastes better than Starbucks or any other coffee shops. All their drinks taste better and have a smoother and creamier texture. They will literally make it any way you ask perfectly the first time. Hands down, this is my favorite coffee spot. First off I love the name. When I arrived the drive thru was packed so I decided to go to the walk up window to order instead. Plenty of parking. There was one person in front of me waiting for their order and even after I ordered I had my drink in 3 mins. Fast service. The staff my nice, outdoor seating and they even have a book stand, so cute. They have plenty of drinks to choose from and bakery goods. I ordered an ice Carmel hazelnut mocha sugar free and I was impressed that it was good being that it was sugar free still tasted sweetness which is nice. I love that they put a small bean at the top as a treat and I ordered a cookies n cream cake pop for my son. I also got a gift card and the staff was nice enough to ask if I'd like them to write the amount on the it :) I like that it close to home and they even have a little bean menu good for kids. The Mexi is amazing and is my personal go to. My app considers me a "platinum status" as I used to go daily for my morning coffee run. The staff works noticeably hard but there is one staff member in particular that well, lets just say she is a bit stern and rude and recently created an awkward unpleasant experience for me. Will be taking a week off from HB, hopefully next time is a more welcoming experience. read more

Stopped here after my cat's vet appointment today and I gotta say; love the drive-thru only option and they have two stalls! They have a ton of coffee and tea options, both hot and cold, and filling breakfast foods. I went with the breakfast sandwich with ciabatta bread, bacon, egg and cheese. The sandwich itself was a little on the flimsy side, but the bread and the flavor were on point. I also ordered the cold brew with a hazelnut cold foam on top. Normally, I ask for the foam to be on the bottom of the coffee for better mixing, but I had cat meowing in my ear. The coffee was very good. Extra smooth and flavorful. We started off with the right foot after our first visit. Second visit is NOT the charm. We ordered the Jack Sparrow Coffee. We had first tried this at ClovisFest and loved it. We immediately wanted to visit here and we were blown away. Fast forward to our most recent visit where we ordered the same thing. We got a 32 ounce drink but only got about a 24 ounce drink. How are you going to hand someone a cup of ice coffee that is clearly not filled?! If you want to keep customers coming don't dupe them. Again only our second visit. Definitely not sitting well with us. Had I rated this place on my first visit, 5 stars would have been given. Cheat us big time and we'll have a problem. We have had great experiences with the quality of their espresso. The customer service is top notch as well. Breeann was splendiferous in her customer service acumen. Our only gripe is that when purchasing hot drinks, the the cup does not tolerate the heat of the americano or latte, so you get that "papery" taste. My recommendation: bring your own thermos. (We recommend Zojirushi for their heat holding capabilities.) I always passed this place on my way home from work and had been wanting to try this place out. I decided to go and try out the place this morning before driving to work and I had looked at the menu the night before. My eyes caught on the drink called Fruit Frenzy. I ordered the drink at the drive thru and it was my turn to pay at the window. The lady who checked me out was super friendly and even complimented my phone case as well. After I paid for my drink, I was expecting to receive it right away or even after 1-2 minutes of waiting. Around 5 minutes had passed and another worker came to the window and legit asked me "just curious, do you know whats in the fruit frenzy?" ??? What. Shouldn't you know how to make the drinks?? Anyways, I showed them the screenshot that I provided here with my review. The worker was like "oh, ok thank you!" After that, I waited another minute and they finally handed me my drink. I looked at it and questioned it why it looks so dark than the picture online. Turns out they added more flavor syrups to it, which was raspberry and passionfruit. Of course, since I've paid for the drink, I will still drink it. However, I wish they knew how to make the drinks properly since you are working in an drinks/food industry. First time trying the human bean. Was hopeful to support this business instead of Starbucks, but I'm sad to say, I was disappointed. The jalapeño cheese sausage biscuit had no jalapeños in it. It wasn't spicy whatsoever. The drinks were overly sweeten and the Irish cream drink tasted bland. The only taste we could get from it was milk. Moreover, we could not taste any espresso/coffee in our drinks. Maybe I'll give this another try someday, but it didn't leave me any good impression. read more

We were the only car in the drive thru and ordered 2 of the same drink and still sat for about 8 minutes. As I went to pay the barista with pink streaks in her hair seemed annoyed that I was using Apple Pay, sorry? I was asked 3 times to confirm I wanted whip cream and STILL got a drink without it, one drink had an alternate milk, and it seemed they made it wrong and hastily redid it in the same cup. By this time there were 3 more cars in line. The employees were relaxed and had no sense of urgency, it almost felt disrespectful. Honestly cold brew coffee tasted diluted, not strong coffee flavor and so was the salted caramel foam. Bagel was bigger compared to Starbucks which mean you get your money worth. It's not bad.
