I did use Uber Eats for lunch on October 25, 2020. It was the first time that I've used Uber for food delivery and also the first time I've used this restaurant. It wasn't entirely clear that rice already comes with the main course so I ordered extra rice - which was a waste of money and food. The jasmin rice was cooked just right. You could define the spice grade during the order process. I can not recommend to spice it up as it takes away the other nice flavors. For some reason, we can't seem to keep a good Indian restaurant up here on the N/NW side of Houston. The one around the corner from me uses dark meat in their Chicken Tikka Masala. Yuck. The one on 1960 converted to a slightly different cuisine, and the food was never good again. They closed. Several off Veterans Memorial, but they're only kabobs/wraps. Meanwhile, Narin's is in the same location for a decade or more and only moved because the one on Sage burned down. Food is consistently excellent, but it's a long drive for lunch. Anyway... enter KurryWalah. I'm so happy. They have lunch buffet. Food is delicious. Location seems a little worn/small, but that didn't affect the food. I had Chicken Tikka Masala, Veg Pakora, Saag Paneer, Malai Kofta. Everything was delish. My sister texted me from there a week or two after I first tried it, telling me what she'd found and how good the food was. LOL Good stuff. read more

I decided to try this place with my son . He is really picky about the food he eats but I must say he asked me for a 5 start review and to come back soon! I am not too knowledgeable about Indian food but I feel that the Curry Sampler was a good start I got a taste of Lamb, chicken, veggies, samosas, Naan and a super delicious rice pudding! I feel that I made the right choice with that order. I really enjoyed every dish and adored the garlic Naan. I am happy this place is close to my house!! Definitely it was a winner today! read more

Absolutely wonderful. We ate indoors with our family of four and a friend so we were able to share and try a bunch of different dishes. Everyone agreed that this was the best Indian food in the Cypress area - by far. The flavors were complex and well balanced. Both lamb dishes were wonderful with big tender pieces of lamb. The spice was spot on too. We also enjoyed buttered chicken, curry chicken and saag paneer. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant too. read more

Took my husband here for dinner and had a fabulous date night. I had only been here for lunch buffet and came back for dinner. We ordered non vegetarian thali sample and everything was delicious. Food was fresh and Naan was perfect. Came out in a timely manner. It was reasonably priced and we finished almost all of it. The only thing I didn't like was the dessert kheer. It was too sweet and plain for my liking. Restaurant is simply decorated and clean. I would describe it as elevated casual dining if there's such thing. Quite a few families dining when we were there and I saw lots of take out. I'm glad it seems to be doing well as it's a great addition to our neighborhood. The food is fantastic, it is one of the few places who has my favorite pani puri in Katy. The ladies there are always nice and it is incredible that they remember your order. They don't get annoyed explaining what any dishes are and the dishes they recommend is always good even if I have no idea what it is! The place is always super clean and spotless. I love their food. You can order it spicy or mild. That's great! It's nice inside and the waitstaff are attentive. I usually do the buffet. What I don't understand is why they charge a service charge when you order walk in pick up. I drive over to get it and I'm charged a fee. Is this a tip? If so who is it for? If I dined in I can choose to give a tip or not. This makes me not want to order pick up, which is a shame because I can't always eat in. It's the same if I wanted to Uber or GrudHub. There's still a service charge in addition to the fees and tip charged by Uber or GrubHub. read more

I'll start not saying im from Bradford UK which is 60% Indian/Pakistan and I've eaten curries all my life! I've eaten here 3 times now - their naan is on point but all 3 dishes I've tried have honestly been very average! My standards are high but I've just tried to eat their "Rogan Josh" and it was tough chicken in an tomatoes sauce (simply) Chicken was tough and over cooked and jalfrezi was bland and undefined. I hate to write this review but I guess I have honest/different expectations given my curry eating experience. Still better than curry masala on Louetta but not by much. read more

Simply said that I was not going to do this as we were in the middle of eating. Said they would do better next time. Dinner was amazing- so good we went to the lunch buffet the next day! We stopped in for a late dinner this weekend and had the best experience and service. It was a little slow so late in the evening (it's usually a packed house for dinner) and our server was accompanied by the manager/owner to help with selections and wine. Food here was one of the best Indian I have had since leaving the UK 20 years ago. Owner served us the whole night and I found out he is from my home town, so we had a good long chat. Really very friendly but I may be biased as I have never met anyone in US from my home town. All the food had great flavour and you had the option to choose your heat level of your food (mild,medium,hot) which if you are going Indian food the only thing in my mind that should be mild is Korma. I had the Goat Biryani which was excellent flavour, I had it medium heat which I probably should have gone hot to be typical biryani. We also had Navratan Korma, Tikka Masala and Paneer which were also excellent. All portion sizes are not too much/not too little. I visited Kurry Walah today for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and I was BLOWN AWAY. We had my absolute favorite thing ever - Gobi Manchurian - to start along with the samosa chaat. Both were the best I've had. I decided to try something new for my entree (Malai Kofta) while my friend decided to have her tried and true favorite (Chicken Biryani) to see how it stacked up against other Indian places she's eaten. Absolutely everything was amazing. The chicken was tender and moist and my curry was creamy and delicious and spiced to perfection. I ordered medium heat on both the gobi and my malai kofta, and it was spicy enough that I got a little sniffley but not so hot that I couldn't taste and enjoy my meal. If you like a good hearty kick to your food but don't like it so spicy you can't taste it, medium is for you. I also highly recommend the onion kulcha - perfectly made and the sweet bits of onion in it are delicious when you dip it in your curry or with the fresh, cool yogurt dip for cooling off between bites of you get something spicy. The service was great too - the place is small so there was only one waiter working when we went but he was lovely, as was the owner who came by to check up on us herself. Do plan to enjoy a nice leisurely lunch. The food didn't take an excessively long time to come out, but it was obviously made fresh to order - there's no an Applebee's assembly line going on back there so don't expect your apps in five minutes and your entrees five minutes after that. Allow yourself a full hour for a relaxed lunch and enjoy fresh, piping-hot food. Oh, and the price point is great. $50 for two apps, 2 entrees, and two specialty drinks (masala tea and a masala lemon soda that was REALLY good - give it a try!) and both of us went home with enough leftover for lunch tomorrow. I consider that a good value. I'll be back to this place OFTEN! read more
