    Purple rice

It's not every day that I hand out 5 stars but this place was worth it. Living near there I never heard about it until Valentine's Day. The place is new, very clean and bright. Service was great, no long waiting when we arrived for ordering drinks. Now the food. 2of us ordered the kutlet kurry bowl. It came hot and lots of it. Perfect portion for me. The large (kfc)kutlet fried chicken, the large came with plenty of chicken for two. A purple rice and a prawn prawn prawn, they were large and I think 3 for $14.00 should be 4. They were breaded and very tasty. Definitely a return will be required.

A Thai restaurant in Tsawwassen. How legit could it be? I decided to give it a try as I just wanted…read moreAsian spicy food, and I did not want to drive all the way to Vancouver for it as I was already in this area. I got there and it was fairly quiet with just two tables occupied. I was taken aback by the staff though. They were not Asian or Thai. I started to wonder if this was a watered-down version of Thai food to suit the local non-spicy palate? The staff was speaking French to a table of customers. Uh-oh. It took a long while before anyone (there were 2 of them front of house) came over to me. During that time, I was contemplating if I should just walk out. So service was indeed spotty. One staff was more helpful than the other. I wanted the pad krapow gai (basil minced chicken), unfortunately they did not have that. So I had the basil chicken which was in slices instead of minced. There is a difference in the dish even though both are basil chicken. I requested for the spice level to be like in Thailand (hot). The food arrived and it was spicy, but not overly spicy like in Thailand. It was ok. You had to order the rice separately and at $2.75 a bowl, it was quite expensive. It was just rice! Even though the restaurant did not have many dine in customers, there were plenty of people calling in to place orders for take out. So I guessed maybe this was the only decent Thai place for the people living in this area? The food was not bad, but it is just not the best Thai food around.

We ordered at 7:05 on the road and told our food would be ready for 8 (which is nearly an hour!). We only ordered 3 entrees and 1 order of spring rolls. We got there at 7:55, waited a few minutes, and went in only to be told it would be another few minutes. No worries! Only when we went back in 10 minutes later, our order still wasn't ready. We ended up leaving the restaurant with our food at 8:35, a full hour and a half after we placed our order! The friends I was with loved their food, but I personally didn't find it worth the wait. I'd much rather go to Thai basil and get my food in 10 minutes, especially since I know the food is ALWAYS bomb there. I also think the prices are pretty steep for entrées that don't even come with a base. My and my friend each had to order a side of rice, and there's no combo pricing. Overall, a tsawwassen staple that just doesn't do it for me.

Me and my friend were craving for…read moresome Japanese cuisine and passed by Sunshine Hills Centre located on the northwest corner of 120th Street (Scott Road) & 64th Avenue and decided to give Sushi Wara a try. The place looks spacious on the outside as it shares the building and is adjacent joining to the Browns Social House. But once inside you realize it's pretty small with only 6 dine in tables and more suitable as a takeout joint. We wanted to keep it simple and ordered a Sashimi Box and a Karaage Don. The Karaage Don's chicken didn't taste like it had really any solid chicken pieces in it and just comprised of mushed up pieces of chicken parts. Furthermore, it was paired up with a honey mustard sauce on the side which was odd and did not compliment the dish well, definitely had better. The Sashimi Box's contents were pretty big portions, but the Tuna Sashimi was not thawed properly before being served and it had a really strong fishy smell to it. At $26.95, it's overpriced by around $4.00 compared to it's competitors around town in addition to the subpar quality was a real downer. Plenty of free parking with 4 stalls right in front of the restaurant and throughout the strip mall.

Horrible. Ordered…read morevia Uber Eats. It was quick but sometimes that's a red flag in itself. We are at a hotel. They didn't send any cutlery or napkins which is just common sense. Next there was no soya sauce. And worst of all - NO RICE ! My husband had to go to a restaurant close by to get a side of rice and some soya sauce. After paying over 70$ this is unacceptable. All this aside, we were hoping the food would be good. Our order was Beef Thai Salad, Ginger Beef, Green Curry with Chicken & Satay Chicken Skewers. They also had a promo for 4 Free Spring Rolls with a 40$ purchase, they turned out to be the only thing edible. I had asked for no onions (huge allergies) and not too spicy. The beef salad had no onions, but also zero flavour on the beef. The lettuce had some lime but not any flavour. It was a few cucumbers and lots of bland unseasoned beef. Is super hot chili flakes the only option here ? It looked like the beef should of been really good, but it was like they had washed the beef off completely of anything. The chicken skewers were big but they seemed to be really fatty with gristle - the meat wasn't certainly chicken breast. Even the peanut sauce seemed off. I ate a few bites and spit it out. The ginger beef was a large order. They sent the sauce on the side. Again the meat was super low quality. Lots of gristle etc. Couldn't eat it. My husband didnt mind his green curry, but was less than thrilled about it not coming with any rice !! It too was of poor meat quality. It all smelled quite bad . All in all was so very disappointed . Would never order from here nor recommend. Huge waste of money.

This place, tucked away just 5 minutes' driving distance from Coquitlam Centre, is clearly beloved by the local Korean community. The portion sizes are generous. They are perfect for sharing with family or friends. We saw many families and younger groups dining in, which gave it a cozy, homey vibe. We can taste the love and comfort in every bite. Here's what we ordered: * Beef Tartare Bibimbap - Not your typical bibimbap! The raw beef was beautifully seasoned and full of flavour. This was hands down our favourite dish! * Naengmyeon - Cold noodles in a super refreshing broth. Perfectly chewy with a balanced, savoury tang. A must-have on a hot day. * Japchae - Excellent portion, great price. The noodles were springy and not greasy at all--just the right balance of flavour. Great value, quality ingredients, and authentic flavours--Hansol is definitely going on our go-to list whenever we're craving comforting Korean food. We ordered short rib BBQ, Beef tartare Bibimbap, and original-flavor deep-fried chicken wings. Beef tartare Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl with a variety of vegetables on top of the rice. The gochujang sauce was served separately, allowing us to adjust the spiciness to our preference. It was a pretty good dish. The short rib BBQ was very tender and nicely seasoned. It was slightly on the sweeter side, very delicious. I will definitely order it again. The original flavor deep-fried chicken wings were served fresh and hot. They were incredibly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside--very good! Next time, I should order them with a flavored seasoning, as I already knew the original version was cooked with less saltiness, meant to be paired with a sauce. Overall, I really like this restaurant. The food tasted good, and the most notable point was the reasonable price! It was a very good deal, and it has now become one of my regular go-to places.
