Customer service and attitude is crazy here but they are quick to work on their own cars.

My husband went to Kwik Kar Grand Prairie this morning to get an oil change and all he asked the gentlemen was what type of oil will they used and the employee snapped at him and told him to go sit down like he was a child. He left and all the way to cedar hill and got a oil change. we have a mercedes we was trying to keep business in the neighborhood but obviously I get better treatment outside of grand prairie . I went there for an oil change just wanting the $30 oil change but they ended up using the full synthetic oil and charged me $85 when I just simply asked for the one time. This isn't the first time they have charged me this much for an oil change. read more

Kwik Kar in Grand Prairie has been my spot for oil changes. The staff is knowledgeable and gets you in and out.

I've been a satisfied, happy customer at this location for many, many years. I've used them for not only the normal maintenance; i.e. oil changes, inspection, etc, but over the years, they've handled repair and maintenance for tune-ups, radiator, power steering and a variety of other issues of wear and tear for both my cars.......certainly helping me to extend the life of the vehicles. They got me for tint here, and took the money for failed inspection for an old car I had. Nice!

This business by the name of Kwik Kar Lube and Tune performed certain repairs that were not needed. They removed a compressor that did not need to be replaced and added another compressor that was an aftermarket part. It wasn't the quality part that the dealership uses, and they refused to give me the old compressor unless I paid additional fees of around $48. Therefore, denying me the opportunity to have the dealership inspect it because it didn't need to be replaced. They also did not fix the repairs that I paid them for, but rather caused damage and made the mechanical issue worse. They did not fix the AC but instead flooded the system by overfilling the AC Refrigerant Oil, which resulted in excessive stress on the cooling fan which caused a module to fail, and the service port caps were not returned to their respective place. At this point they wanted to charge even more because they wanted to try and now replace the fan. The vehicle also begun to overheat which damages the engine. They performed repairs that were not needed such as replacing the compressor and adding an aftermarket compressor of lesser quality than the one that was added by the manufacture. And they caused damage in their attempt to correct the issue that needed to be fixed. I had to pay for a second time at the dealership to have the repairs fixed and the new damage fixed caused by Kwik Kar Lube and Tune. read more

Worst service ever! The owners know nothing about fixing vehicles. The manager is incompetent as well. A simple oil change and oil was all over my engine burning. When I confronted the owner and manager they werent trying to take any blame and the owner was trying to give me another oil change. WTH! Are you listening to what I am saying? You ruined my car I had to pay another mechanic to clean it up. I have seen other unhappy customers who got screwed there as well. We should get the undercover reporters out there to investigate. Oh man! I called the same day I visited and was told all the basics for getting my inspection. Price was super reasonable-$25.50! I was literally in and out in ten minutes. Normally quick place but very unorganized. All bays open but only using one bay for customers and looks like other bays are for personal cars or friends cars. Some workers are working others are upstairs in office. Young teenager walking around in bay and only one person out of 8 wearing kwikcar uniform. Would recommend to find a better place for your vehicle. I will never come here again. read more

The only thing I would recommend this location for is for an oil change. I brought my car here because the manager insisted he could fix my car from overheating, boy do I regret doing that! Almost every part was changed out on my car except for the right thing. Instead of being honest with his customer that he had no clue what was going on he assured me that he would fix the problem, $1500 later I decided to take my car else where and the head gasket was blown! A complete waste of money! I am completely dissatisfied with this location and how they hustled me out of $1500. They do not stand by their policy. read more

I think they must have switched management within the last year or so, because before when I would go they would try and add on a bunch of things I know my car didn't need, and when confronted about it they were super rude. The current man running the shop is awesome, always fair and always pleasant. They have a fully licensed mechanic on staff and their turn around time is quick. They are my new go to guys! I don't even know where to begin. It was good before new management. Once the new guys got in they just want to upsell. That's it. I understand the business but if you don't buy, the manager will treat you terrible. If you don't give them what they want then they do a super bad job and don't do anything good. They don't want to help you if you don't buy. They tried selling me an air filter that I know I didn't need. Asked to see my old one and they wouldn't show me. Told me I need a power steering flush but refused to let me watch. I don't know about y'all but if I can't see my car get worked on then it's not trust worthy. Go to a more reputable place. Don't go here. They don't care about helping. They are just money hungry. Not to mention they don't even tell you what oil you get. They assume what you want. I stated I wanted synthetic COUNTLESS times. Told me my car couldn't take it. So I went to get my owners manual and it was gone. Pretty funny how it's always been there til I state I will show them. Overcharged me for an oil they claim is only for my car. Worst place iv gone. Travel a good 20 minutes cause it was always a good place. Knew the old manager well. New management.
