Please do not come here for any mechanical needs. They charged my friend $1,100 for a new alternator and the problem still wasn't fixed. I've never been overly impressed since I moved here with the service. It's quick and the price is okay but yesterday that all changed in my opinion. Maybe I'm just spoiled from the service I received in Oklahoma but I'm used to being told when things are beginning to break and what the part does so I can make informed decisions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After some email exchanges I've had with management at this Kwik Kar location, that is not the case here. They said and I quote "our team prioritizes communicating any immediate safety concerns to customers verbally." I must have a very different definition of what that means than this store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I missed the note on the sheet that said CV Boot broken or cracked until I got home. I didn't know what that meant so I shrugged it off not understanding the severity of the situation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm currently looking elsewhere to have my car fixed praying to God the joint isn't damaged. In a follow up email they said again and I quote "A CV axle issue is generally not considered an immediate safety concern unless there are signs of catastrophic failure..." So basically if you have a $500 repair it's just a footnote but once it becomes a $1500 repair then you will be verbally informed. The time to tell a customer their car needs to be fixed isn't when it's catastrophically failing. The time to tell a customer is when signs of failure begin. It is then the customer's job to make decisions they sit fit. Telling a customer they need something fixed before it breaks isn't upselling or being pushy, it's called quality customer service. Fingers crossed I figured this out in time otherwise this location just cost me an extra $1000 in repairs. read more

$100 service and didn't put back the oil cap?!?! I got out of my truck today and smelt burning oil! I have been going to this Kwik Kar since it opened and have never really had a problem. The service has never been very good but no real problems. Today, after I got to work, less than a week after getting the oil changed, I noticed a burning smell coming from under the hood. After I opened the hood I noticed that oil was everywhere! After walking around the truck I noticed it was all over the tailgate. After closer inspection I noticed it was all over the undercarriage, and side of the engine block. I probably should have popped the hood when I got home to make sure everything looked good, however, when you spend over $100 to get service done to your vehicle you shouldn't have to worry that a oil cap was put back. This place is trash, dishonest employees. My friend (young girl) went here for A FRONT ALIGNEMENT. Well apparently the FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car has a REAR DRIVE AXEL that was broke and they couldn't do the FRONT ALIGNMENT BECAUSE OF IT. Trash and dishonest, took it to my usual shop painless 80 bucks. The first time I took my car to this Kwik Kar, everything seemed to go ok. The second time I took my vehicle to them, they are telling me that " somebody" destroyed the drain plug and I would need to leave my car for several days to try to fix it. (I have no idea at what expense.) I pointed out to them that this very Kwik Kar is as the last location to touch that drain plug. The manager was condescending and telling me that's not possible because of the time and mileage. Admittedly, I have waited overly long to get my oil changed. The manager refused to take any responsibility for the drain plug being in the shape it is in and was more concerned with blaming me than offering a path to a solution. He says their sticker was not on the bolt. Their sticker is in my window. If the last technician at their place destroyed my drain plug putting it back in and then did not put a sticker on it, that is still on them. When I got upset about his refusal to acknowledge they did this damage, the manager became hostile and started swearing at me. Now, my car is visibly leaking oil. They stripped the plug the last time I went in to them. This time, they Finished completely stripping it down in attempt to remove and Did not bother to retighten it (and then proceeded to blame me for the problem. ) I've never seen such complete dishonesty from a business before. They failed to let me know this and will talk with the employee. They put an oversized bolt in and still leaks. Please so please be cautious. I just wanted to be informed this was going on. I've lived in Anna since 2007. When Kwik Kar was built about 10 years ago, it was great to have this service so close. My stepson worked there for a couple years when it opened and did well. Though the turnover rate over the years with techs has never changed, the service has always stayed good and consistent. Communication to the customer is thorough, and doing the job right is paramount. The young men there that are there at this writing were great guys to work with for the couple months for me personally. James, Ryan, Edward, Edgar, and Bobby always do a great job, and good people. I plan on gladly spending my money there so these young men listed above continue to have a growing income. However i do not recommend employment there. Ask them what happened and I'm told " man it looks like someone took a hammer to your filter. but we put another one in. That will be X amount." I went for oil changes, and inspections through the years. Never seemed to have issues, until, last year they changed my oil and when I got home it leaked terribly. I brought it back, saying, "Y'all placed the cap on wrong." They refilled missing oil (They said) and then told me it was just an old vehicle. I said, "No, it didn't leak before. Now, it rains oil. Fix what you did." they pointed to The Leader mechanic shop next door, and said, "Maybe they can help?" I brought it by The Leader mechanic shop. They said, "You need a new oil pan and Kwik Kar has a good relationship with us, they didn't ruin your plug. Okay so,it will be $100 hrly to remove rusted screws. Your total will be $780." I said, "No thank you," and took it to a different city. Auto repair by Fisher in Van Alstyne off of HWY 75 took a look at it, without asking what had happened, they said, "The last oil place you took this to either... LOST or STOLE your plug and replaced it with a after market value piece of crap. Who did this to your car? It ruined your oil pan." Long story short... Kwik Kar is getting a bill from me for $420.84 for the repairs after they damaged my vehicle. Don't use crappy oil companies that are in cahoots with mechanic shops in a small town. read more

Took my car in for an ispection. I was told the car failed because of emissions. I asked why don't I have a "check engine"light on and they said ït is on". I told the the CEL was not on when I got there. They argue it was and they noticed the car was running rough! They offer to diagnose the car and fix the problem (for a price), My question was "why would you perform and inspection to a car with the CEL on if you know it will fail". There answer was "Customer want us to". I filed with the BBB and they never answered the BBB. Took it to my mechanic who found the ïdle control valve" connector loose. I gave these fools a second chance as they're right down the road from my house and I needed an inspection sticker. My truck is only a few years old so naturally there's not a problem with emissions etc, but these idiots come at me for having my "tint too dark" on the front windows. My windows were tinted at the dealership, in accordance with any state laws. I tried to argue with the deuchy looking kid and finally just gave up. Went to the dealership to get the sticker (had to pay twice now for the inspection) as I did not want to remove the window tint that I paid for when i bought the truck - just to take it back to these punks. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, much less trust them with a vehicle. Even a basic oil change... i'm sure they'd screw it up by not tightening the filter or oil drain plug or something. This place is a total scam run by idiots. Took my 2015 Lexus RX350 there for a simple oil change, how hard is that? Then they tell me, after it's done- it's over $87.00 for an oil change. Asked why so high, said they put in synthetic oil. They never discussed my options, never told me there was a blend or I could get regular oil, they just billed me for the max. So I decided I would NEVER go there again, so next oil change went to Firestone in McKinney. The tech brings out the oil filter and says they stuck in a filter that wasn't for this car and was too small. Picture shows a ridiculous sloppy fit. They just don't give a damn about your car, your service, their work, or a customer. If I could give them no stars I would. A disgusting, crooked operation if there ever was one. Kwik Kar has no oversight for their brand, discovered you just contract for the building design and go into business, NO ONE oversees at a corporate level the quality of their work, customer relations, nothing. I take my car to these guys every year for the inspection. They are always courteous and efficient. I have never been kept waiting longer than 20 minutes. This evening I took my car in urgently needing an oil change before taking a short car trip tomorrow morning. I had my two toddlers in the car with me and I wasn't even sure how late they were supposed to be open. They got me in and out in 20 minutes flat. They offered some child-friendly books and magazines for my kids and helped me keep my rambunctious boy in line while I strapped in my little girl. These are great guys who do not try to trick you into buying something you don't need for outrageous prices.
