Last visit was for a state inspection where they put on wipers and charged for them, without even asking. We were not having any issues with our wipers. My neighbors had the same scam played there on them. On today's visit we brought in our own oil and filter for an oil change. BEWARE of the UPSELL! "Your engine and cabin filters need to be replaced." "Oh really, I just replaced them." "No thank you." Technicians get paid on the amount of money they bring in, so when they do this they are just trying to increase your repair order amount so they make more money. So at checkout they ring up $70 for an oil change where we brought in 10 quarts of oil and an original BMW filter... really? "That can't be right." "No sir that is the correct price." "But Christain Brothers just down the street does it for $34.95 and Kwik Kar in The Colony charges $35.95." "Your prices are TWICE AS EXPENSIVE as Christian Brothers and the other local Kwik Kar?" Updating my review after an awkward encounter with the shop manager at Kwik Kar Willow Bend. I had the lifters in my Jeep motor replaced, which ended up costing me over a grand. I'm not complaining about the bill but rather the way the shop manager responded to me when I asked if he could talk me through the work that was done. He got defensive when I wanted to understand the work that went into the repair. I think it's more than fair to have someone talk me through the bill when I've come to this shop on numerous occasions for a variety of expensive work. read more

I've been bringing my vehicles here for over 20 years because the customer service was outstanding. I've noticed it's gone down in recent years but today I've decided I won't be returning. It felt like I was an inconvenience bringing my car in for oil change today and some other things too but won't write. Really surprised because the owner was there today but he didn't seem to interested either. Customer service is something that has bottomed out in many businesses today and it's a sign of the times. I had to get a compressor fixed for a company van. I told him our schedule because we are remote workers and he made sure everything was to accommodate our schedule! I also noticed this location had a lot of customers that always come back for routine maintenance for their vehicles! The manager Marvin makes relationships with his customers! Highly disappointed with my experience. I went in for a synthetic oil change and was charged $87.00!!! An oil change should never and has never been this expensive. On top of that, the mechanic came inside to upcharge me to encourage me to purchase new windshield wipers, Air filters, and a car battery which were replaced less than 6 months ago. Extremely clean and very professional. Had noticed my car was driving a little offside on the way to work. Got to work at 7:25am however work does not start until 8am. I looked up car services on the YELP app and this location popped up. Hours for this location open at 7:30, so I gave them a call. Marvin answered the phone quickly, I explained what was going on and he said to me, just drive over here and we will take you to work. With this location being 1 mile from my job, I was back at 7:45 with enough time to start my day. Jareth was very professional, he is the one that dropped me off and picked me up. Got an oil change. Sleazy methods to upcharge customers charged extra $5 for the oil filter. Previous visit with the same car there was no "special size" charge. I had an experience a number of years ago when the6 said I needed brakes but after consulting a reputable shop we did not. I had a minor issue on 9/3/22 and thought I would have them fix it. They did but performed extra services I did not request for the tune of over 300.00. This place is not to be trusted they will do anything they can to pad the bill and i should have known better. Kevin contacted me, apologized for the poor quality of work and adjusted my invoice. I believe he is committed to customer service and will improve the QA process. Initial review 8/12/2019 - I've had good service in the past, so when my son's Acura broke down on Saturday night, had it towed to the shop. Ryan promptly called Sunday morning with a diagnosis and estimate. It was ready that afternoon with a new alternator and battery. Unfortunately, the quality of service is now terrible. The battery was installed without a terminal protector and the bracket was on backwards. I cleaned the battery myself, added corrosion preventative and corrected the bracket. I am marking Kwik Kar Willow Bend off my trusted service list, and suggest you do the same. read more

Probably one of the rudest most unfriendly workers I have ever met anywhere, and that's coming from someone that works in customer service. This morning, I had what was probably the best car-repair experience of my life. I woke up to a completely dead car -- I assumed it was the battery, but I wasn't sure. My wife recommended Marvin at Kwik Kar -- he's done many repairs for her, but my car's been under warranty, so I haven't had repairs done anywhere but the dealer. So I called Marvin, asked him if I could bring my car in tomorrow morning, assuming I could successfully jump it. Instead he said he'd send someone to my house to start it, and then he'd install a new battery for me right away. And that's exactly what happened. One of his employees came by, jumped the car, and then followed me up the street to Kwik Kar in case the car died on the way. When I got there, I asked Marvin if I could get a lift home as well -- he said it was not necessary, because he'd have a new battery installed and tested in a few minutes. And that's exactly what happened. I doubt I was at Kwik Kar more that 10 minutes. The battery was reasonably priced -- and the installation fee was only $5! (BTW: From what I understand, Kwik Kar franchises are individually owned, and I've heard that there are other locations with less than stellar reputations. My recommendation applies to this location only.) read more

I love this place!! Just like everyone else I always come in on a Saturday morning when it is time for me to get an oil change. It is usually busy but they get you in and out quickly. They are very professional and I never feel like they are trying to get me to pay for something I don't need. The lobby is clean, they have a TV, plenty of seats and they even have cookies while you wait. With the oil change they will vacuum out your car, clean your windows and put air in your tires all for a reasonable price. I highly recommend the place; you will love the service you get. read more

This is a fathers biggest fear coming true. My daughter went to have her oil changed on 6.20.23. She knows little to nothing about her car besides getting the oil changed regularly and air in the tires. As she waited, she was told her transmission fluid was low, she called my wife and was told to have it all fixed. I guess this lit up the techs eyes because he went crazy thinking he had an easy target. When my daughter told me the total was $450 I had to say what did you get done. She tells me they needed to add brake fluid and coolant. She tells me that was all they told her. I look at the bill and see they flushed the brake lines, flushed the radiator, changed the air filter, and changed the cabin filter...and yes, did the $45 oil change that she went in for, nothing about transmission though. This is the classic taking advantage of a young girl to get all the sale that you could. I have taken my cars to this location for over 4 years, but it will not happen again and I will be telling this story whenever and wherever I can. read more
