Took my car in to have the power steering checked out because it was leaking fluid. Rather than charge me, they told me it looked new and I should take it back where I had it fixed last and have it fixed for free. Topped off the fluid at no charge so I wouldn't run into a problem. Be sure to check in at the counter. I observed a couple of people that were told to park their cars and leave the keys and then got skipped over by other customers arriving later. The place is good with fine service but they can get distracted. You can get in and out pretty quickly or you can waste a couple of hours. read more

I came to get just my oil changed, and left 2 hours later because they dropped a socket wrench in my engine bay and couldn't get it out. After they finally got it out, my car sat there, done, for 15 minutes before I had to go out there and ask someone to check me out. Everyone was extremely rude. read more

This was my first visit to the Red Bud Lane Kwik Kar. I was immediately taken aback when an attendant came out to my truck to greet me as I was parking, asking what kind of service I would be needing that day. I told him I needed a state inspection; he pointed me towards the waiting area and said there were already a few people there ahead of me but that my wait shouldn't be long. There were actually 5 people there (it was only 8:15am) for a variety of work needed but by 9am, all of us had had our service performed. The staff was very friendly, always a must when in a customer service type of environment. I rate Red Bud Kwik Kar very highly at four stars. For five stars you'll have to provide free coffee and donuts. I will definitely be back. read more

I normally don't write reviews but I thought I would do it for these guys. We normally use Kwik-Kar for oil changes and inspection stickers. I like the fact they are close to where I live. They are fast and thorough and do the job right. Some of their prices could be a little bit more competitive but, considering they take of what needs to be done first, and they are fast, then it's not a bad deal. They also look over the vehicle to see if there are any other safety concerns, maintenance and/or repair issues, and they let you know about them without being pushy and pressuring you. I'm not a mechanic so it's nice to have a professional look at the vehicle every once in awhile. They also have a nice waiting room. It's a great place to take your car or truck. read more

I've been going to Kwik Kar for the past few years for oil changes on my car and truck. I've have noticed that there seems to be a high turnover in their staff. Anyway getting to the point, I brought my Lexus in over the summer and they spilled oil all over the lower splash engine shield...that was strike 1. Okay, I was thinking someone just made a mistake. Last week, a few days before Christmas I brought my truck in before I was about to go out of town. The day I was about to leave there was a large puddle of oil in front of my truck, I open the hood and there's oil all over my fan shroud and skid plate. Apparently when taking off the oil filter ( on the top of the engine ) they just let the oil drain into the engine from the old oil filter or they spilled about 1/2 a quart of oil when filling the engine. Strike 2.......I will not be going back! read more

I took my vehicle to this location today for a state inspection, and I find it interesting that 3 people in a row were told that they needed new wiper blades in order for their vehicles to pass. I know they are a safety item, and that's part of what they check, but it seems a bit of a coincidence for 3 vehicles in a row to "need" them. I've had places tell me before that an air filter is dirty and needs to be changed, but they show me the filter and I decide to have it done, or purchase and replace myself. Nobody even gave the option to see the torn wiper blades. I should have asked to see them, but I am pretty sure I would have been told they were already disposed of and they wouldn't be able to tell which ones were mine. Just seems a bit shady that everyone there for an inspection when I was there had to replace wiper blades at twice what it would have cost me to buy them myself. They pretty much know they have you because you obviously need your vehicle inspected, and most people would not want to leave, get wiper blades, and return to have vehicle inspected again (probably being charged a second time as well). Not sure I believe all those people had ripped wiper blades. Not sure I trust this place anymore. read more

I arrived here to get an inspection done on one of my vehicle. Asked how long is the wait, he replied 2hrs and 15 minutes. I also asked, well how many cars are ahead of me waiting for inspection he replied 8. My reply to him was, It should only take 15 - 20 minutes right if anything if no issues are found. Why is it taking so long? He answered, it just is. Never have I heard it to take that long that's just plain crazy. read more

If I could give this bloody place no stars I would. The previous review stating that if you speak a foreign language (I speak German and have an accent) you are treated poorly. 100% Yes! That is a thing at this establishment. I had to repeat my name no less than five times, write it on a piece of paper, show my driver's license and the person behind the counter still spelled my name wrong! To be fair this is solely regarding the Middle-aged, woman that is handling the cash register. The actual people working in the bay were amazing. The person behind the counter is the one that's representing your company KWIK KAR, you need to rethink that. If you think those of us with foreign national status don't have our own way of reviewing these sorts of situations, you're sadly mistaken. I won't tolerate this behavior in my home country, I sure won't tolerate it here in the United States. *And to my foreign national friends who have accents, find somewhere else to go to get your vehicle reviewed for registration, elsewhere for oil changes and minor repairs to your vehicle. read more

I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else, unless it was something they just couldn't repair. Erick is an AMAZING mechanic, so friendly, so humble, takes his time helping you, so attentive and treats you like you're the only customer he has. The rest of the gang are awesome also. Wow these guys really know what they are doing! Quick quality service at a reasonable price is a winning combination. They saved me $200 for doing the exact same 15,000 mile scheduled service over the dealer. They even had the dealer suggested service list printed. If you need anything regarding service they probably do it. Quick and thorough state auto inspections are also available. My family, friends and I have all be quite impressed with Kwik Kar. read more

Way overpriced. I have a 2012 avenger, I asked the girl behind the counter how much it is going to cost. She didn't respond so I said if it's $39.95 you can tell them to stop. Then she said it's just a basic oil change, so it;s not. I get the bill afterwards...it's $53.88...for an avenger! with the bottom of the line oil. She said ..that's what it is with no remorse at all. I will never go back there nor will I recommend to anyone read more

After several oil change on both cars I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed on Nov 29, 2018 with my experience there. Went in to have my 2016 F150 serviced. After they "completed" the service and I had paid my bill I went to leave and was reviewing the "Service Checklist" section and immediately noticed several inaccuracies. They claimed to have vacuumed the front interior (it had not been done), they showed tire pressure checked and all at 35 psi (the TPM on the truck showed all different pressures), the one that immediately caused me to return inside was the "Checked Cabin air Filter - CHECKED OK". I had sat in the Waiting Area and watched and never saw a technician even attempt to check the Cabin Filter (checking it requires removal of the Glove Box which never happened). Went inside and challenged the Desk Receptionist, she could not explain my questions. At a minimum i wanted the air pressure correct, so we drove the truck back in and one of the Technicians started to put 51 PSI in the tires till I stopped him, he said the sidewall of the tire showed it required 51 PSI . I explained/showed him that the correct TPI was 35 and where to find that info. After that little incident it really made me question whether they really checked any of the other 10 items they claimed to have checked. read more

Went in to for a car inspection and it was completed in good time. Wanted to have the full service oil change, but as this was a Saturday there was a long wait. Came back, and there must have been a dull, as the vehicle was taken quickly. Now comes the one star part. Received the truck back and found they did not vacuum the front, add fluids, (especially the near empty window washer) nor clean the front windshield. So I'm thinking that these guys ONLY changed the oil. I complained the the Manager on Duty. Was told as an excuse that they were busy and also to paraphrase "the vacuum equipment was cheap". I had to wait an extra 15 min for them get back to it and longer to re-deliver. As insult they STILL did not clean the exterior front windshield as part of their full service. Will I go back there, hell no which is too bad as the center is close to me. read more

This place is a joke. After having them wrongly diagnose and attempt to fix my car once, I was done with them for auto repair. Went in recently to get a state inspection, hoping it was easy enough too handle and they're close to my house, and boy was I disappointed. Dropped my car off and they told me 30-45 min, leave the key and insurance card inside. I run and do errands around the shopping center for an hour. I come back and the new shift leader informs me that my car hasn't been inspected yet. There's one in front of mine and then they'll get to it. I explained about previous shift leader and he responded with "I don't know, when I got here there was a lot of cars and not sure what happened." B/c I had groceries I told him to forget it and give me my keys. He told me they were still in the car and they were...in the ignition. Which means at some point, someone put them in there and started to let the battery drain while no one touched or moved my vehicle for over an hour. Yikes guys. Get your shit together. read more

I took my vehicle there recently for a vehicle inspection. I was told that they couldn't perform and inspection because they didn't have any window stickers. Stands to reason that if part of your function is inspecting vehicles, then you should always have the necessary supplies on hand. I bet that the never run out of supplies to bilk you when doing oil changes!!! I used to regularly take my vehicles there for oil changes and vehicle inspections. My family and I have been coming here for car inspections and oil changes for a long time. This time, I went in for a car inspection but my front turn signals were out. Very generously, the man working on my car offered to fix them. After about 45 minutes he came out and told me he could not get them to work. That would have been okay with me, I was very thankful he even tried. However, he then told me I had an electrical problem with my car and would need to get it looked at and fixed before it would pass inspection. So I took it in and $150 later I found out nothing was wrong with the car except needing to change the bulbs. I was very frustrated to have spent that money for no reason. I went back to Kwik Kar and explained the situation. They apologized, which I appreciated, but did not offer me any kind of deal other than $8 off an oil change after their recommendation had cost me $150. read more

Went in yesterday for an oil change/tire rotation ..... was told it would be 90 minutes before I could get tires rotated ..told them never mind .., attendant came out 5 minutes later and tells me my power steering is EMPTY ... I tell the guy okay ..please fill it and do the oil change ... 20 minutes later ..I drive home ..check the work done ...NO POWER STEERING FLUID ... I check the bill ..#12 lists power steering checked -OKAY ... I look to see if maybe there's a leak .. nothing ... in the meantime I see that the skid plate is HANGING down .. return this morning for them to fix it and when it comes out again after 5 minutes .. the skid plate is just placed back into positon and still 3 screws holding it up are MISSING and the other 2 are HAND tight ... I tell the MGR. on duty ..and he just walks away .... going to take my business else ware from now on .. this is NOT THE FIRST time dealing with these people ... read more

Not anymore. We took both our cars to another location for years but recently, we asked about looking at a third vehicle, a sedan that we just purchased. Manager at that location referred me to his brother at the Red Bud location. They lost the car keys and tried to blame it on us. Even tried to show us the security camera of me handing keys to my husband. Well, that was me handing our TRUCK keys to my husband so he could drive us home. We were none too pleased about that. Turns out another mechanic had them in his pocket and was off site. I was told that keys are locked up and never leave the building. It gets worse, but that was enough for me. Shame, because we just started a nonprofit and were fine with them up until then. I don't know what changed with them, but they are not our go-to guys anymore. Meanwhile, their "turnover" biz is enough that they've built a car wash on Old Settlers and the owner lives in a half million dollar home in Florence. We tip well in restaurants and we pay for customer service. But we do not trust these guys anymore. read more
