I had such a fantastic experience with Kymoto Co! We were celebrating four different birthdays of varying ages, so it was a great opportunity to order custom personalized cakes, and Kymoto Co absolutely delivered. The cakes were a huge hit! I appreciated that she checked the spelling of the cakes during pick up, because I totally misspelled one of the names and she was kind enough to fix it for me. All around wonderful experience and I could not be more grateful for the final results!
I hired Kylie to make a custom Kuromi cake because a) a regular bakery wouldn't accept an edible image purchased online, for licensing reasons, and b) I didn't want a fondant monstrosity (fonstrosity?) of the sort that other local custom cake designers seemed to specialize in. Kylie's design was tasteful and caringly done, true to the examples on her Yelp page. Plus it was reasonably priced, generously sized, timely and delicious! It tasted homemade (wasn't overly sweet like a typical bakery cake) and stayed moist for a long time. I'll keep Kylie in mind for future custom cake requests!
i've been ordering from kymoto co since the beginning of 2024 and she's still my go-to for all my cake orders! if you're looking for those korean cakes, bento cakes, lunchbox cakes, mini cakes, anything that style, this is THE place!! she bakes from home and you pickup from her in tustin i'm so glad i found a place so local & easy to order from! the first time i ordered was through the website, it was super simple & easy i got a $25 blue and white two-tone cake for my parents' anni a few months later i ordered through instagram dms and gave her full creative freedom with a theme & she nailed it perfectly! the custom country themed cake was $40 my bf knows how much i adore these cakes and had a custom gudetama cake made for me and it was the perfect bday gift!! THESE CAKES ARE ALSO DELICIOUS I LOVE THE MATCHA FLAVOR i will forever be coming to kymoto because of how delicious and beautiful these cakes always turn out! super easy to order & a very reliable baker
The cutest and tastiest cake!! I ordered a cake for my birthday from Kymoto and was very impressed. We picked up the order from the home bakery, and communication with the bakery was super prompt! She was also accommodating when I pushed my pick up time around half an hour. I got a lunchbox cake with vanilla/strawberry flavor, and it was sooo good! It's definitely on the sweeter side if you compare it with like an Asian bakery cake. However, I love sweet/buttercream cakes so it was perfect for me!! The cake art was SO beautiful, I could not stop staring at it! So much detail for a small cake. The cake is definitely very small and is good for around 2-3 people (4 people if you all have small slices). Considering the size, it is definitely on the pricey side, but that's what you pay for the time they put into it (and to support small business)! I would definitely recommend checking out Kymoto for your next cake purchase :). Can't wait to try more in the future!
LOVED these cakes that I got from Kymoto Co for my birthday. The designs were so flawless and perfect. She nailed exactly what I had asked for! The cakes were so delicious inside. One was vanilla and one was strawberry. Both were so so good. You can't go wrong with either! Thank you so much for making my birthday special with these cute little cakes!
My girlfriend ordered us a custom cake for our 7 years anniversary and it was super cute! She ordered a simple design but it felt right with this type of cake. Cake was the lunch box cake and it's definitely a shareable size. We ordered a chocolate cake with cookies & cream buttercream. It was very soft and moist cake! We ended up eating it over the course of a few days because it was actually a lot - in the good way! I was super happy with the cake we got. It was very yummy and from what I could tell, the communication between the owner and my girlfriend was also very great! She was super thoughtful and great with responding to our request. Smooth transaction and pick up was very simple too :) I know my girlfriend wants to order another cake because she really wants to try the matcha cake lol. Excited for our next cake from her!
such an amazing experience with Kymoto Co!! the ordering process was so smooth and she texted me with pictures of the cakes before I picked them up so I was able to make minor changes if I wanted to. I ordered two bento cakes, but unfortunately right as I got home I accidentally flipped one over and messed it up. I was SO devastated, but I reached out to Kylie and she said she would try her best to fix it! When I brought it back to her she was able to make it look brand new again within a couple of hours! I'm so grateful and appreciate her for the extra time she had to spend on it because of my mistake. The cakes were also super delicious, so I'll definitely be ordering more cakes in the future!
Being able to come up with a custom cake design was so fun and Kylie was super prompt in answering any questions I had! Kymoto absolutely brought my custom cake design that I had envisioned to life, I was absolutely thrilled when I got to pick up the finished product - it was the highlight of my birthday! On top of being cute the cake is absolutely delicious! I'm so picky when it comes to cake since I find the grocery store ones to be a bit too sweet, but Kymoto cakes just absolutely nailed it in terms of being not too sweet!
Loved this cake, cutest anniversary cake hands down my fiancé was very pleasantly surprised when I showed him what was inside the box. I showed up late by an hour and she was very sweet and understanding. The pickup was quick. When we tried the cake later that day it was very tasty and we finished it fast. We got the 4" chocolate flavor with cookies and cream filling.

Kymoto Co has forever changed the cake game everyone! They have THE cutest, minimal, aesthetic, creative, unique, and delicious cakes EVER. I never knew I needed cakes like this in my life. I highly recommend placing an order with them for all of your future events / celebrations - you will not be disappointed. Kymoto Co cakes are perfect for gatherings with friends (they offer 6" cakes), but you can even order the 4" cakes to share with a friend (or two)! My first order with Kymoto Co was earlier in March - I ordered the lunch tin cake since I was traveling and needed a small cake for a birthday celebration. It was perfectly packaged, made it to its destination, and was perfect for consumption later on! I left it out to room temperature prior to eating it, which made the cake and buttercream the perfect texture together (this is the recommended method). I loved it so much I ordered a birthday cake for my mom recently as well. This time I got the 6" vanilla and strawberry cake. It was a beautiful dessert AND gift at the same time. Apart from the cakes themselves, the owner is also such a nice person! She carefully crafted my cakes and really checked in to make sure I was happy with my orders. Cuteness in a compostable clamshell! I had an awesome experience with Kylie brainstorming a cake for my brother's birthday. Kylie was attentive and creative, and provided amazing suggestions. I had some ideas for the cake and also some hopes to have something a little more blood sugar friendly and Kylie came up with a sleek Dungeons & Dragons theme with more of a "naked" style for the outside frosting. I ordered the 4" matcha/vanilla cake and in the ultimate Asian auntie compliment: it was not to sweet! The cake was soft and moist, and the ratio was great. It was helpful to take the cake out for about half an hour before serving, and it was a perfect size for our family to each have a piece and not have to store the rest of a cake for days. You can tell Kylie puts her heart into the cakes and the business. I've ordered a few cakes for various occasions now from Kymoto and it has been a crowd pleaser time and time again! Not only are they BEAUTIFUL but the cake itself is fantastic!! It's light, moist and not overly sweet (bonus points). Personal favorites are definitely the Funfetti, vanilla w/ strawberry buttercream and matcha. The owner, Kylie, is also the sweetest and super talented! I just tell her what the occasion is and she runs wild with the cake design. This is easily my go-to for fun, customized and very reasonably priced cakes! Highly recommend!! read more

needed a last minute cake for my BFF's birthday and Kylie exceeded my expectations! i shared a moodboard with her and she brought my vision to life with a VERY QUICK turnaround. she was so easy to work with and relieved any stress of ordering a custom item. aside from the cake being a complete masterpiece, the cake was super yummy & light! i'm typically one to skip the frosting on a cake but the vanilla buttercream complemented the strawberry cake very well. thank you so much to Kylie + her team! Kymoto Co made my cousin's birthday so special (: Ordering online is super easy - the hard part is actually choosing from so many cute designs. I went with the 4" foodie lunchbox with vanilla cake & cookies n cream buttercream. I listed six of our favorite foods, chose light pink as the base color, and entered a short birthday message for the cake. The mini foods were adorable and it's amazing that Kylie (owner) piped these by hand with buttercream! I also ordered a custom 4" lunchbox cake with vanilla cake & strawberry buttercream. I emailed Kylie a photo of my cousin's painting that I was hoping she could recreate on the cake and she did an amazing job. Kylie is truly an artist and my cousin was left speechless once she saw her painting on the cake. We shared these two cakes with four of our friends and they were a hit! The cakes were light and fluffy and the buttercream wasn't too sweet but still flavorful - the strawberry buttercream was our fav! Delivery was a breeze and Kylie is so sweet, she even gave us candles for the cakes. I wish Kymoto Co was in the Bay Area so I can order more often for my loved ones... and myself hehe but for now, Kymoto Co will be my go to for all celebrations in Orange County. ONCE AGAIN they absolutely killed my cake. i've gotten one from them before and it was 10/10 as well.
