Amazing lemon bars and German Chocolate cupcakes
    Krystina P.

Had a great experience working with Jody on goodies for my girlfriend's birthday. I needed them delivered and I contacted her last minute, the day before. Jody was able to accommodate my needs and my girlfriend and her co-workers are awfully happy today! I ordered 2 dozen brownies, a dozen cookies, lemon bars and a dozen German chocolate cupcakes- Jody is a ROCKSTAR! Thank you SO much for the delicious treats and for making ordering so quick and easy!!!

Food is always fantastic. I make a point of stopping by once a week mostly for take-out. Salmon…read moreon angel hair, 2 way kabobs cooked to order, short rib pappardelle pasta, the pastries... The cafe staff is always so friendly! I've eaten here close to a hundred times. Never had a bad meal. The cafe is a nice place indoors or outside to eat a nice breakfast/lunch Monday-Saturday solo or with company. The service is wonderful! (Going to miss the old place but crossing my fingers they won't be closed too long when Enderle Center starts the remodel.)

Absolutely amazing. To start off once you get inside the bistro they keep it very fresh with natural light. It reminds me of what Javier's in Newport did with their semi outdoor revamp. The light is plentiful, it makes things open, more social. I love it. Our host was great in getting us a table, she was very kind. It also wasn't long before our waiter came by, I liked how the attentiveness was so quick. I came for brunch, so the menu itself isn't as plentiful with options as the dinner menu but there's something for everyone which I liked. It was 1pm but pancakes and French toast were still an option for appetizers, so I took a wild card and got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the baklava French toast which isn't pictured but we ate it all so quick I didn't get time to snap one. Both were EXTREMELY good, every single person who dipped their fork into the starters had something good to say, the airy lemon flavor with the light ricotta on the fluffy pancakes and the more sweet and soft feeling of the French toast. The braised short rib was extremely tender, I had some expectations for it since it is one of the highest priced options on the menu, and they knocked it out of the park. The hash browns and sauce on the bottom added that little extra kick you needed to complete a fork-full. The salad, I would have preferred just a little less dressing, but not close to even complaining about, it tasted great. I took it upon myself to walk through the back and get to the other side where the cafe is and grab some pastries, the pumpkin cheesecake and a matcha, a wonderful way to end the experience here. Service was amazing, the openness of the restaurant made things feel more social and upbeat, food was amazing on all ends, it's a really nice restaurant I wish I knew about sooner.

They had a number which I called and the person on the other end gave a number which I could text more details about what I needed, for how many, my name, etc. Since they were driving and couldn't take my order at the moment I made sure to provide as much info and the time/day. I put the order 5 days before I said it needed it and they agreed it can be done by then. I thought it was easy and I just followed it up with the change of topping on the cake. I explicitly stated to text me if they needed anything else from me since I have never done this before. I probably should've followed them up, but I was busy that week. Since I didn't hear anything afterwards I thought I had secured my order. The day I come to pick up the cake, they tell me they don't have the order. The lady who I spoke to, who I'm assuming was on the phone when I initially called, is telling me I put a request not an order and that I didn't even provide my full name (not true, I did). I'm being told that I shouldve put down a deposit and have a contract with them for the cake. I wasn't provided with any contract or a Zelle username. If I had that information I would've absolutely done it. As a business you should provide the customer with that sort of information. I had no idea and I wasn't told that thru text. Should I have followed up? Absolutely, i know that now. There's no information on the website about a contract or deposit information. Only the phone number that I first called. So they should probably update that if they have so many orders and can't keep track with request. There was a lot of deflection from the lady when i tried to explain my grievance. No apology either for the confusion. I felt crazy because I thought I might've missed their messages. Nope nothing. Only the Zelle information after I had arrive there. Luckily, they had puff pastry ready and told me they could have the cake ready in 15 min, and I really needed the cake so I agree to still do business. When I got the cake it was still warm and they told me to freeze it in my refrigerator for it to set. 15 min to get to my place and the ganache has melted off the top and custard had already spilled out from the sides. I had a long drive afterwards and not even an insulated bag could save it. It did taste good, it's too bad about communication, and everything else.
