They currently have special 50th anniversary pricing available on their dog friendly patio until the end of June, which made for an even better experience. I ordered the chicken souvlaki (without the pita), which was naturally gluten free and absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the owner even came out to check on guests, which added such a personal touch. We used to come here a bit more often back when I was a meat eater. I always enjoyed ordering the roast lamb. Their Greek style roast lamb is still a big hit with the rest of the family, who all still eat meat. I'm the only one who has stopped eating meat. They have a David's Deals menu now that they didn't have in the past. The deals are all combo meals but smaller portions than the regular sized meals. These are great for people with smaller appetites and a little easier on the wallet as well. I had the David's Vegetable Moussaka and it was just right for me. Managed to eat up everything on my plate and was very full, but not ridiculously full. Not sure if they've always had this Vegetarian Moussaka or if it's something they started offering in more recent times. Vegetarian/ Vegan eating is a lot more popular these days than in the past. I was never a huge fan of Moussaka back in my meat eating days, but I very much enjoyed this Vegetable Moussaka. Think I'm starting to become a bigger fan of Moussaka now. Always had such a great experience here.. but dined here tonight and they were a lot busier than previous times. We ordered an app which came at the same time as the main which was odd but there was a party of four that was seated near us that actually got their mains before their apps. Maybe they're training new kitchen staff? Not really sure, but no one ever came to do the standard check of how the food was. No one came back to ask anyone at other tables if they needed anything or how their food was either. In fact, we didn't see any waitstaff period even trying to flag them down later for the bill. Waited forever for it to come(there's 90 mins free parking which we actually surprised because it was this slow even though it all came at once) and then finally had to just go up to the bar and ask if we could pay or we'd for sure have sat there for another hour. No apology or acknowledgement that they were clearly having a very off night. We only ate 1 piece of the pita so when we asked for to go containers they brought just one for salad, hot food and bread. I had to bring the entire bread basket up to ask for the bill to get a container. The saganaki breading was very soggy and the whole dish was gross but everything else was cooked nicely. I'm undecided on dining here again, but thinking probably not. Sad, it was my favourite Greek place! read more

Great place to have a quality Greek food in the North Shore. Decent amount of parking behind the restaurant (and covered!). The owner greeted us warmly and making sure we are looked after, from start to finish. We had the calamarj that was lightly battered and perfectly cooked, the tsatziki sauce was really nice without being so overwhelming. We always come back for the special portabella mushrooms that's cooked with port wine. It has a bit of a kick, the mushroom was cooked perfectly, and boy I can just eat that the whole day! We had the rack of lamb souvlaki, beef souvlaki, and a skewer of tiger prawn souvlaki on the side. I am not a lamb kind of person, but boy that lamb has converted me. Decent and cozy restaurant on North Van's main commercial drag. Prices were so-so, as I thought the portions were a bit small. Also, I asked about whether the owner was from Cyprus ("Kypriaki" is also the name of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus and the fabled birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite) and was told no. No big deal. But I was curious about trying Cypriot food and seeing how it compares with Greek. This place offered the usual Greek reliables of spanakopita, which I got and found disappointing (like eating two phyllo-doughed spinach egg rolls) and kebabs. My friend got the moussaka, which, in retrospect, seemed to be the most substantial and tasty. Eggplant is always good. Still, the service was nice and the seating area cute. read more

I love places with sampler Greek dinners. Very hard to find a place that has individual size portions. Moussaka, spanakopita, dolmas, rice, potato. They have it for two or more so I ordered ribs instead. They were ok but lacked seasoning I was expecting. The potatoes were good. The rice ok. The tzatziki was good. The pita too. The Greek salad was small and tasteless. My wife's moussaka was very tasty. The accompanying were the same as mine so those comments apply here too. Portions were large. Prices reasonable. We visited Vancouver from the states and were hungry so figured this restaurant would be good. It was better than good. It was beyond delicious and we still talk about the food after a few years. A great option for Greek and Mediterranean food in the North Vancouver area. I was really excited to see paella in the menu! It sure brings back fond memories of Spain! The portion size was large and they are very generous in the seafood in the paella. By the end of the meal I ended up with more seafood left than rice itself! This is my very favorite Greek restaurant in North Vancouver. Delicious and authentic. The menu is vast and it's hard to choose what to eat. Vegetarian moussaka and Lamb souvlaki are great. I have been a loyal customer for years and it never gets old. Really great food, large portions and nice outdoor seating. Completely unacceptable. My impression was they were prioritizing skip and door dash over the call in orders. We asked for a manager to call us. Waited 15 mins and never got a call. The decor on both the inside and outside is really nice. Inside they have tall candle sticks which give the dining room a real romantic feel. We thought the service was good. We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. We were served water right way and our order was taken shortly after. I had the lamb gyro and my partner has the lamp burger with a special request for rice instead of Greek fries. The prices were really good and our meals were okay. The lamb was a little tough and chewy in my gyro. My partner enjoyed his burger and rice. The fries were wedges seasoned in a lot of lemon and other spices. The spices were good but it was a little too heavy on the lemon for us. Overall, we found this to be a nice place for a romantic date night or family gathering. This review is based upon their delivery service and food only. I have been looking to expand my list of restaurants that I order from for a while now. I came across this place searching through places that deliver in North Vancouver. They highlighted their delivery on the website so I gave the process a try. A very nice lady answered the phone and took my order promptly and less than an hour later the meal arrived. I order way to much take out and always appreciate a delivery driver having up to date equipment at the door. Upon opening the bag the smells were wonderful. There is no problem with portion sizes here and next time I won't feel I need to order a second skewer with the Souvlaki. I have only been there three times over the course of a year, the last time that we went I ended up taking my food home and I ended up choking and having to force myself to throw up as there was a long piece of metal in my food that got wedged in my throat. I emailed them and waited about 2 weeks for a response but apparently according to them, nearly choking to death on a piece of metal is not enough to receive a sorry email back. read more

Came here for a late lunch after a 3 hour hike so I was plenty hungry! The restaurant is well decorated with photos of Greece and reminds me of the Mediterranean countries. They have Greek, Italian and Spanish dishes available. I was hungry so I ordered the dolmades and rack of lamb entree. My friend ordered the calamari and chicken wings which were offered at happy hour pricing. The calamari was good, fried well. The wings had a good sweet and spicy flavour. I liked the stuffing in the dolmades but the leaves were a bit tough to my liking. The sauce was also a bit thick. For the entree, I enjoyed the sides that were included: lemon potatoes, rice & greek salad. The rack of lamb was a tad overcooked as I had requested medium rare - came out medium well. SAD! We made reservations for 730pm for my Moms Birthday, I was running late and my parents made it there 15 min before, when they arrived and spoke to the gentleman at the front he told them that they were half hour late and he was going to give up the table. When i arrived i had to show the gentleman that the email and confirmation i recevied for my reservation at 730pm. I did not get a oh i am sorry or anything, just scoffed and walked away. It took the water about 20 min to come ask us what we walked to drink then about another 20 min to order our food. . . I ordered the prawn slovaiki and it was horrible, the prawns were so salty, the rice was uncooked, and the tiny little bowl of greek salad that came with my dish had no flavor, it was a bowl of tomators onions and cucumbers....ive had greek salad before and this was not it. My mother ordered a margarita lime, and it was as if the mix they had, had gone bad or they just really love their salt and added far to much salt in the drink, it was disgusting. We advised the waiter that it was not very good and we would like to have another one made, he began to argue with us that it is going to be made exactly the same so she might as well just drink the one she has. So we just decided to get her a beer instead and he rolled his eyes and scoffed at us. We only went to this place, because we had read the reviews and everyone seemed to really like it. I have been to a lot of places mostly on shore that has Greek/Mediterranean food and this was by far a below average. We all had stomeach issues right after eating here. WOW. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. WOW. I cannot even explain how impressed I was. I am food obsessed and the thing I look forward to most while traveling, or just during my day, is eating the local food. We got off the ferry super later, so we were worried about finding something close to our hotel that was still open and decent. Long behold, this gem was still open. We got there pretty late - probably 30 minutes before close and trust me I felt like a huge jerk, since I worked in the food service for almost a decade and know what it's like to get late tables. However, we were starving and willing to tip a great amount. Our server was not only great, but also actually caring. You could tell he actually cares about whether we enjoyed our food or not. When my soup came out he even told me to take it slow and enjoy it. I love eating a places where the staff loves food as much as I do. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. It felt like we were in Santorini, Greece with the white décor, rustic pillows, modern lights, and blue accents. We were alone there, but I could tell it was a place that would always feel intimate. The food was absolute perfection! It's always a good sign when a month later I am craving to get back just for the food. We ordered the Portobello Mushrooms as the appetizer and they were perfectly seasoned in a great sauce and came with deliciously seasoned pita as well. For my next course, I HAD to go the Avgolemono Soup. Get it. Everyone at the table needs to get this. I knew when I saw a soup with lemon in it, I had to have it. In my opinion, lemon makes everything better. This must be one of their most cherished dishes. The soup was very thick and heavy, but light with flavor because of the lemon, chicken and egg. I don't know how to explain it other than it was perfection. For my entrée I ordered Moussaka, which is layers of eggplant with zucchini, beef, and potatoes with béchamel sauce. It also came with Greek salad, rice, lemon roasted potatoes, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. Everything was wonderful, but the potatoes were unbelievable. Again with the lemon. The tzatziki sauce was the best I ever had. He ordered the Spanish Paella which was a rice dish filled with a variety of seafood and other meats. He ate it all and loved it. I was so stuffed, I couldn't finish and I could tell the server thought I didn't like my meal. I had to reassure him that I loved it. Greeks must be like Italians. They want you to eat everything and then more or they take it personally. I just couldn't stuff anymore in my stomach! At the end of our meal, the chef came out to see how it all was, which was also a great sign and made us feel like important patrons. Very well priced. Stopped in here after visiting he Capilano Bridge, for a quick lunch, before heading to Grousse Mountain. I went here on a Monday night around 8pm. We ordered the domades appetizer, the grilled veggie souvlaki and a meat dish. The service was pretty slow that night but the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The flavours of the food was great. The lemon potatoes were really tasty except they were a bit too tangy for my liking. Prices were a little high, especially for the appetizer which was really small but cost 10 CAD. We sat in the pub area and the seating was too low and really uncomfortable - I had to stand up after a while because the edge of the seat was cutting off my circulation.
