    Babaganoush w/ pita

The rooftop bar is gorgeous! It's almost Miami-esque with the vibe. The hotel entrance is a bit dark where Dahlia is. You have to take the elevator to rooftop bar. The rosewater margarita has been on the list to check out as love margaritas and love rosewater so figured the combo would be delicious. It was not, the tequila tasted like vodka, it's the tequila brand by the Rock. We ordered the HH babaganoush which was very small and green falafel which was baked. The dip came with pita but as it's made with egg, we asked for a vegan bread option which we were charged another $5 for. The place is very pretty but the food & drink were average.

This rooftop escape is atop of the beautiful Azur Hotel. We stayed at the Azur Hotel and decided to patronize the rooftops restaurant and bar. It's on the 14th floor of the hotel and can be closed off if the weather isn't accommodating, which is nice. We went for cocktails because we heard they have amazing craft cocktails, and they do. Let me start with the service because if the service isn't good, it's a wrap for me. No worries though because service was amazing. From the hostess stand to the bartender, top notch. Chris was our expert craft bartender. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was friendly. He kindly explained the menu and the associated cocktails. I wanted a caipirinha which was not on the menu but he made it for me and let me know what was comparable on the menu. My husband ordered the chapter II shots, which were a flight of cocktails from different regions (Bahamas, Spain, Philippines, and Chile) from around the world. I loved my caipirinha (9/10) and my husband enjoyed the flight (10/10). I also had the Tropicalia, which was a rum based drink with cachaca and tropical fruits. I asked Chris to balance it out so it wasn't overly sweet, which he gladly accommodated. It was good but I preferred the original caipirinha. I highly recommend Levantine if you're in the downtown Vancouver area.

The service and drinks were amazing! They were so busy during FIFA but were able to seat us at the bar without a reservation! Ryan and Will were amazing bartenders and the host was super quick to find us a place to sit during the game. Amazing service I enjoy coming here!

I stayed at the Azur hotel and came here for happy hour. The cocktails were amazing, and the bites were alright. We got the falafel and some chicken, both were alright but nothing special. The service was a bit slow, especially given we were the only customers. The restaurant is pretty and the seating is comfy, but it was a bit strange how empty it was.

I came a for a post conference drink and the atmosphere is so lovely. It was nice and sunny out and the vibe was just right for a wind down post huge work event. The service was attention.

At the top floor of a hotel. Place was 20% full Sunday 6PM. Bartender was very nice and very chatty. Due to BCGEU strike quite a few cocktails were unavailable. Soma: comes in a super fun peacock cup. Boyfriend loved it, I did not. I give it a 6/10 he gives it a 9/10. Comes with half a real passionfruit. Bahamas: 7.5/10. Was okay but not the best Pina Colada - I give them props for trying to recreate something so classic. Boyfriend loved it and gave 10/10 but I did not 7/10. Gender neutral single stalls bathrooms available, but you have to briefly go outside to get to them.

Lavantine is a nice restaurant with a beautiful rooftop aesthetic! Everything comes together and makes the atmosphere very lively, including the staff. I arrived without making a reservation and was able to be seated very quickly. It was my server's 5th day; however, she did great. She made sure to check in, explain the menu, and luckily, I arrived during happy hour! She also made sure my water was always topped up. I got the wings as well as the lamb burger. The burger meat was a bit on the grainier side, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but it still got the job done. The wings were mediocre. To conclude, if you're going for the vibe and atmosphere, it's a great place. But in terms of food, it unfortunately didn't meet what I thought it would have been.

I had the lamb shank and my date the fish and both were sublime. They also have some of the best in-house made hummus I've had since Istanbul. The service was quick and efficient and we sort of lucked out and had the place all to ourselves which was nice. Just wish it wasn't raining!

From the moment we stepped into Lavantine, we knew we were in for something special--and thanks to an absolutely stellar team and kitchen, our evening didn't just meet expectations--it soared. First, a huge shout-out to our bartender, Kris -- from the moment we sat down he greeted us with warm hospitality, crafting cocktails that were as imaginative as they were balanced. Whether he was recommending a house signature or tailoring something to our taste, Kris demonstrated not only expert technique, but a genuine passion for his craft--and that energy set the tone for the whole evening. Turning to the cuisine, the authenticity of the Middle Eastern flavours here is nothing short of brilliant. Every dish seemed to carry the soul of the Levant region yet was adapted thoughtfully to its Vancouver setting--vibrant dips, intriguing spice combinations, and generous share plates that brought a true sense of communal dining and discovery. And wow--what an incredible kitchen led by Chef Emir. The level of care, creativity and polish in each plate told me we were dining somewhere extraordinary. From the textures to the presentation to the way flavours layered and unfolded, it felt like a masterclass in modern Middle Eastern cuisine. Chef Emir's leadership shines through in every bite. In sum: superb service, world-class drinks, and a menu that honours its roots while delivering on refinement. Lavantine is now firmly on our "must return" list, as we are there two nights in a row. Highly, highly recommended.

Wonderful decor and ambiance. Service was on friendly and professional. Food was delicious!

Came here after work with some co-workers and although there was barely anyone there, our waitress didn't seem very good at her job. She took forever to come around to take our drink orders, then she didn't ask to take our food order when she came back with our drinks. I split a lamb burger with a colleague and it was very good. The falafel was also very tasty, as well as the baba ganush but the Hummus was a miss for me. The cocktails were well made. So the food alone was a 4 1/2 but the service was a 3 because the server was nice but we felt she wasn't doing her job properly. The hostess and the manager were very nice.

A big group of us came here to celebrate a special occasion and everyone had a great time. Food: 5+/5 - we had the sampler. They did not disappoint with fresh & tasty food. The assortment suited everyone's palate from grilled fish to Babaganoush Smoked Eggplant. My favorite was the Ahi Tuna and Brussels sprouts. It's a culinary blend of Eastern Mediterranean and West Coast food. The drinks are awesome too. Even though we were stuffed, we managed to make room for dessert - not too sweet Baklava! Atmosphere: 5/5 - great vibe to the place where I felt I was in another country. The restaurant is ideal for anytime of the year as the ceiling's retractable. Service: 5/5 - all the servers were on top of their game. They often asked us if the food was good and if we needed anything. Parking: 2/5 - it's a huge challenge as most of the parkades downtown Vancouver closed at 7 pm. It's a problem if you're planning to dining around that time. I would dine here again. A great place to dine and enjoy delicious food for any occasion. Too bad they're only open for dinner from 4 pm to 11 pm (Tues to Sun).

Wow, this place was better than expected. The food was outstanding. It was like seafood Mediterranean. The atmosphere was so lively. The drinks were amazing. I will be back.

Cute lil date spot! My review is only wine and dessert as we came here after my husband's bday…read moredinner for a nightcap. We both ordered red wines to start which we both enjoyed. Good wine list! Hubby switched to a negroni that he liked and I had more wine but this time late night happy hour had started which was a nice treat! We ordered the Dolce de leche dessert and the kitchen was lovely and gave us both desserts on the menu as a bday treat. The rice dessert was incredible - it was like sticky toffee pudding but with a rice base. The caramel sauce was killer! It blew the dolce dessert outta the water. The service was also kind and attentive! The music choices were odd for our night, I love vinyl and collect it myself but just wasn't feeling the vibes that evening, it was a lot of house style music and the same beat over and over with no lyrics. Some folks loved it tho and had asked to move closer to the speaker so to each is own. The tables are also really close to your neighbor so you catch quite abit of convo around you and it's a touch distracting especially when it starts to get little loud as the room is small. It was fun to people watch though.

Ordering style was interesting, after we ordered our small plates we were ready to select our main courses but the staff just took our menu away and we had to ask another server to put in our main entrees. I understand they were busy so they may have assumed we were done ordering but it was a bit of an off putting experience. Overall food was good, the bread was divine. The highlight item for us was the tuna tar tar with chinese donuts, the chili crips totally brought the dish together. Everything else was pretty good, but wasn't amazing as I hoped. The citrus notes in the canton noodles threw me off and the chicken liver mochi balls felt more like a dessert dish than an appetizer for some reason. Highlight was having the DJ also be one of the servers!! Love the vibes that Bar gobo had, definitely a good date spot. Will have to come try it out again next season.

I was particularly disappointed with the oysters and the steak. The oysters were quite small, and I would rather order them somewhere else. The steak was well seasoned but was served at room temperature. I don't think I would come back for dinner, but I might return for a few drinks and some light bites at the bar.

We had a couple appetizers, veggies, salads, mains, and desserts, all for sharing. Here are the highlights: - the June brioche and its honey butter was amazing bread. They serve it together with the pasta for Rachel whose flavours were sublime and in its unique shape. The brioche goes well with the pasta sauce. - truffled eggs were really good - crab dip with spiced madeleines was so unique and really good. - hamachi crudo was sublime. Flavours so so good. - roasted scallop was one of the highlights. The crunchy top combined with roasted flavour and the sauce it comes in - just so so good. - crispy eggplant I liked. Especially served with tomato puree. - the seared trout was really tender and the veggies it comes with complement excellently - the ribeye was amazing - the beignets and that chocolate mousse were fine. Actually the mousse was so light and good - and I hate chocolate! The only things I thought were just ok were the croquettes and the trout rilette. Highly highly recommended for all occasions especially special ones.

They've a lovely patio facing the seawall, and especially in the summer, it looks so inviting, and patrons often bring their dogs, and I just love the whole vibe. In the winter, too, it always looks like people are enjoying themselves here, with the warm lighting and twinkling lights. Since this wine bar is attached to the restaurant Provence, I've often passed here and heard live jazz musicians and singers who perform certain nights of the week, and man, they sound GOOD. It just always felt like this would be a super place to mellow out, have a glass of good wine, relax with friends, either on a summer day or at night, any season. I finally got to check it out in person today. I went with a friend for a drink mid-day, sitting outside. The weather was lovely, and it was a perfect day. Carmen was our server and she was great. I appreciated how knowledgable she was regarding all the wine and cocktail selections. My friend had a glass of white wine which she loved, and I had an amazing cocktail with lavender and rose.
