Stopped here for Sunday dinner around 5 pm. Was actually just planning on getting soft serve next door but saw that there were several open seats. Between us and another couple with children, we had 4 adults and 3 kids. They have a booth seating towards the back that comfortably fit all of us! Also provided a high chair which was a nice surprise. They gave the kids water in plastic cups too. We tried several items, the omurice with curry sauce, popcorn chicken, tokontsu ramen, spicy miso ramen, matcha pudding, and the jelly dessert. The food arrived promptly and was good, but I would say nothing was outstanding. I felt the portion sizes were a bit small too - much less noodles in the ramen bowls than expected. I ate the entire bowl and wasn't full. What was surprisingly great was the matcha pudding! It comes with a cute little thing of milk you pour over it. Rich matcha flavor. Overall a good place in the area to eat dinner if you have a large group. Glad I gave it another try!

It's a combination of a little bit Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese. I would say overall the food was ok, the amount was generous but also a bit pricey. Some of the food was also too salty.

We came an hour before closing and quickly ordered a set for two before the kitchen closed. So appreciative that they took our order and got us the food so quick! Such a good value to get a set menu as you can try a bit of everything from popcorn chicken and desserts. I enjoyed being seated in the booths as it's a nice way to chat with friends. The waitstaff still came by periodically to check in and make sure everything was ok.

Seems like a cool place, we split one thing of noodles. It was the only vegetarian thing that we saw, and we liked, and that looks like it seemed to be a full meal. Between the two of us, it was definitely enough food. We sat at the bar, and towards the end of the meal we saw two of the kitchen workers crouch down and floss, their teeth? Or something? It was rather unappetizing, and one of them did not take off her gloves, and seemed to continue cooking after. I guess because of this I will not be back. It's probably fine that it happened, but I'd rather not see this as a diner.

For a place that sells ramen, I would actually rather have their kushiyaki (skewers) offering and apps instead! The ramen is decent and scratches the itch but I still think the broth at totto ramen is my favorite. The skewers were really yummy - soft, tender, well seasoned, and much more affordable than other skewer places near by. The agadashi tofu was also a highlight. But for the affordable pricing, this is a great place to have on rotation for ramen. Service was ok. Staff was nice. I did a walk in and there were booths clearly empty but we were told we couldn't sit there because it was lunch rush time so we ended up at a table by the door. So if you want a full experience, I guess book or call ahead. Cute decor, music wasn't too loud, atmosphere was clean and bright.

Came here on a weeknight for dinner and were seated quickly. The place was busy, but not packed. Decor inside felt modern with great wood decal. It also was clean and well lit. They have a great set menu for two which we split - it was a great amount of food for a good price. The food itself was okay, nothing spectacular but all around solid. Ramen was tasty, apps were good, and the dessert was okay. The dessert honestly is something I could skip for next time, but everything else was fine. If craving ramen in Brookline, Kyuramen is a good spot!

We visited Kyuramen on a Friday night around 8:30 PM and had a short wait before being seated. Including the wait, service, and our meal, we left just before they closed at 10 PM. The space was smaller than expected, but we were still comfortable since we were seated in an enclosed booth. It gave us a bit of privacy and made the experience more relaxed. I ordered the Katsuobushi Pork Ramen, while the rest of my group got the Tonkatsu Omurice Combo. We also tried a few drinks: Island Breeze, Lychee Lagoon, and Thai Iced Tea. The Thai tea was especially good. It was sweet, smooth, and refreshing. The ramen was the right portion and very filling. The broth was flavorful and the noodles had a nice texture. The egg was a little overcooked in my opinion, but that might have been because I waited too long to start eating. Everyone who got the omurice enjoyed it. The tonkatsu was crispy and well-cooked. One thing we noticed was that even though three people ordered the same dish, their food came out at different times. It also would have been helpful if knives were provided to cut the tonkatsu. One of my friends mentioned she would have liked the option to cut the egg and pour the sauce over the omurice herself. The servers do that for you when they bring the dish to the table. The service was friendly and the overall atmosphere was welcoming.

Kyuramen - Brookline is such a gem! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by these adorable small booths that make the whole experience feel cozy and fun--perfect for a casual date or chill dinner with friends. The food? So good. The yakitori was tasty, but the real star of the show was the braised pork--melty, flavorful, and absolutely crave-worthy. I'd come back just for that. Service was spot-on: friendly, prompt, and super attentive without being intrusive. I especially appreciated the service button at each table--makes it so easy to get help without flagging anyone down. It's the kind of no-stress dining that makes you want to linger a little longer. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience. Definitely adding this to my go-to list for satisfying, easy ramen nights!

It's freezing out and we stumbled upon this restaurant in a very collegiate environment. Service was nice and hospitable. They are known for their Ramen soups. I started with ordering the beef and scallop yakitori. The scallops were horrific. Basically it was dipped in soy sauce and it was very hard in texture. The beef wasn't too bad. At that point, I thought this is a precursor to disaster. But then the noodle soup showed up and it all changed my mind. My spicy tonkontsu soup was excellent! They also had a special of the beef flank noodle soup, which was good. We had the warm sake, which was good. That was needed to warm us too. I think if you need a quick place to eat, this is a good place for someone craving Ramen. Ideal for students around the area.

It's unfortunate that businesses like these rely on fabricated 5-star reviews from their customers.. I didn't take a picture of it, but there were signs all over our booth that offered a free dessert for a Yelp or Google "check-in". After asking our waiter, he said that this actually needed to be a 5 star review and that his manager had gotten mad at him in the past for giving out dessert offers if someone's review wasn't 5 stars. This makes me feel like I, as a customer, can't trust anything that anyone says on these restaurant review platforms. I have dined at Kyuramen a couple times and it's flashy, making the food all very visually appealing, but the taste doesn't live up to expectations for me. It is also a bit pricey, so keep that in mind if you end up visiting.

I see kyuraramen popping up in different places and I can see why! The ramen is fresh and the soup is heartwarming on a brisk autumn day. I ordered the spicy soup and it had some heat. We wanted to omit some of the toppings - they were very accommodating. The soft boiled egg was perfectly cooked, not runny and not hard boiled. Service was quick. The decor is modern with some private booths that have a curtain for extra privacy. Nice vibe and great food.

Went on a weekend so super crowded, waited around 15-20 minutes before seated (2:00pm). The interior was nice and relaxing, we got Combo B and they were accommodating when I asked if we can have two bowls of Sapporo Miso Ramen instead of a mix. this ramen spot is known for their more private booths that seem like they can seat 4-6 people my party of 2 did not get a booth on a busy friday night (waited about 20-30 mins. we just went to h-mart a couple stores away and browsed to kill time bc it was cold) we sat at a table close to the booths with the option of sitting at the "bar"--which is essentially sitting in front of the kitchen. looking back, i would've preferred to sit at the bar because the tables are soo close it was almost awkward to have a conversation with my partner. the menu has a wide variety of appetizers, ramen broths (there are chicken options for my non-pork indulgers), and combos. i find that a lot of ramen spots really only have miso ramen, pork ramen, and 1 or 2 veggie broth options. this ramen location does not serve alcoholic beverages food wise, the drinks were good. the thai tea seemed to be made from real tea and their lemonade was great, it did not have syrup in it which is not more forte for lemonade beverages the appetizer i got were the deep fried gyozas which were delicious with the PERFECT amount of sauce drizzled on top the ramen came out soon after and the broth was good, not super rich and the noodles were not as fresh as i hoped, i had a chunk of noodles that were stuck together in my bowl specifically. the other components of my bowl were typical--the meat that was included was nice, tender and juicy the waiters are all kind and do not rush i would come back with more friends to experience the more private booth options and get the split ramen bowl combo that they have on their menu read more

Hands down the best ramen place that I've been to so far in Massachusetts. The shrimp tempura was crispy and you can get a combo ramen with two different broths. The service was great and you click a button to call them over when you're ready to order, if you had the opportunity to be in a booth. In addition to the ramen, we ordered a Tonkatsu Omurice, and the waitress told us it was going to take 20 mins to make which we were okay with. The ramen came literally 5-7 minutes after we put the order in. 40 minutes later, omurice still didnt come, and no one came to check on us. So we had to grab a waiter to ask about the status of the order. They said "they are making it right now." After another 30 minutes the food finally came. We waited for the omurice for over an hour. We would've given the food an 8/10, but with the service, probably a 5/10. I am completely speechless. read more

I felt like the rice was the main event of the dish and the egg was just a side rather than the other way around. Located a short hop from Harvard Business School, we chose this store over the Harvard Square as it has later hours (open until 10 pm.) The shop is a bit down in the mouth; we would suggest a reset on the interior which is brightly lit but showing considerable signs of wear and tear. Our server greeted us with a bright smile and she provided superb service throughout our visit. We started with the karaage which was nicely breaded and well seasoned - ten pieces fried crispy on the outside with moist chicken inside. The star here is ramen, of course and all of the choices feature a tonkotsu base. We both ordered the Tonkotsu Toroniku Ramen - one with a shio broth and the other with shoyu. The shoyu had a shake of hondashi which gave it a more traditional taste profile. Toroniku is particulalry delectable and not easy to find. Tender slices of cheek meat sat atop perfectly al dente noodles. We included side orders of additional toroniku and aji tama. The aji tama was done to perfection - that ideal spot between soft and hard boiled yolk. We highly recommend this shop for the quality of the ramen. We marked it down only because the interior needs a face lift. Not sure if one needs a reservation as we arrived at 9 pm and were seated immediately. For those who embrace the quest for impeccablly prepared ramen we highly recommend the Itami Juzo's classic, Tampopo. If you understand Tampopo then you will grasp the significance of well crafted ramen to the Japanese soul.

I visited Kyuramen in NYC once and had a great experience. I was excited to hear they opened one in Boston, so I had to check it out. The Omurice was new on the menu. We ordered the curry flavor with pork tonkatsu. The combination of the fluffy omelette and savory fried rice, seasoned with curry sauce, was delicious. The dish also included vegetables and small chicken pieces, enhancing its richness and making each bite satisfying. The pork tonkatsu was good, though it could use some improvement. Before leaving, the staff mentioned they also offer a black pepper flavor for the Omurice. I'll try that next time since I prefer black pepper. The popcorn chicken was a delightful snack with a satisfying crunch. The inside remained tender and moist. They provided spicy powder on the table, which I added to the popcorn chicken, making it an addictive treat. Takoyaki is a beloved street food, and theirs did not disappoint. These round, bite-sized balls were crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. The batter, made with flour, dashi, and eggs, encased a tender piece of octopus. It was topped with takoyaki sauce, creamy mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. This rich treat had a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and tangy flavors. I ordered the #2 Katsubushi Pork Ramen. The broth had a deep umami flavor with smoky undertones from the katsubushi (bonito flakes), perfectly complementing the tender slices of pork belly. The ramen noodles were chewy and the toppings--half marinated egg, bamboo shoots, corn, sesame, scallions, and nori--made each spoonful hearty and satisfying. The Matcha Tiramisu was fantastic! This dessert combines creamy mascarpone with matcha-soaked ladyfingers. The matcha added a unique, slightly bitter flavor that balanced the sweetness perfectly. It was a refreshing twist on the classic tiramisu. Overall, I give Kyuramen 5 stars for its excellent food and friendly service. The restaurant's renovation style is very comfortable and clean. My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Kyuramen on a Thursday night, and we were thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. It was amazing!!! The food was delicious and the service too. The waiter answered all of our questions with good energy and explained everything. They even have little baby cups for kids that are reusable! Another thing is they have buttons on the wall to call the waiter, order, and pay! The place has private places to sit and is very comfortable. The air is nice and refreshing and has good lighting I ordered the Combo B and shared with my mom. Literally the best place to eat ever! The ramen is incredible same with there chicken and many other dishes the atmosphere is so nice and cozy with bright yellow lights and tables with curtains for privacy the service is great the food comes quick (5 min) and the waiters are kind and even remember me! They have a high tech system where you press a button to order and to pay they have a quick paying system to just press the buttons on there tablet and your done!
