    Spicy tonkatsu ramen
    Sophia L.

Came during the soft opening where 21 seats are available for dine in. Tables have a QR code to order online, though there are physical menus on the counter if you want to peruse before ordering. The spicy tonkatsu is the regular Tonkatsu Ramen with the addition of hot oil, but minus menma. If you like spicy, you'd likely prefer this. It's not very spicy, rather enjoyable for the bit of heat, especially when it's cold out. The noodles are on the soft side, but that is actually my preference, although it may be softer than what a typical ramen customer expects. The portions are good, definitely worth checking out. A little odd to hear country music as the playlist on a Friday noon, but maybe that's what pumps the lone worker.

Glad to see new ramen spots opening. Cute spot for ramen at Harvard Ave. You walk right in, grab menu and they ask you to scan to order instead of going up to the register. You pay and they bring you the order. Tonkotsu ramen - broth is light, Cha siu is lightly torched, creates a smoky flavor. Noodles were Al dente curly noodles. Egg was perfect. Hatcho Miso Ramen - also light soup flavors, slow cooked chicken was ok. Nothing too impressive. Takoyaki was deep fried and delicious, could use more sauce. Tons of bonito flakes. I do miss previous boba shop Fruity that was here since they use fresh fruits in their drinks, but looks like this new place have basic smoothies, milk teas, lemonade options too.

Came here on new years eve in the afternoon right when they opened and was seated immediately. Pretty quiet through out the meal. Server was quick and brought menu and water. I pretty much knew what I wanted and you order by scanning qr code on table. I ordered and paid right in app. Ramen came out piping hot and fully dressed with expected toppings. Well marinated egg, with a good sake and soy sauce flavor. The soup was surprisingly similar to porter sw Sapporo, which is enriched with collagen so each spoonful threatened to fill you up quickly. The char sui was torched and has correct fattiness proportion anf not too thick a cut. The noodles were done perfectly, slightly al dente and the soup clung well to the noodles. I was actually barely able to finish since the enriched soup was so packed with collagen. Definitely will come back again.

Great server lady and man in the counter ! Clean casual room for ramen place Soup was hard to describe, bit strange flavor for miso soup. Chashu should be soft and tender, it was very chewy and missing flavor. For this price I prefer more portion on both soup and noodle. As I am ramen snob for more than 50 years since I was born in Osaka Japan, I get too picky about everything about miso ramen. This place is still new and I am hoping all improve. As ramen is my life achievement for my enjoyment, At first, To make really good ramen, you'd have to eat the best ones around if it's possible. and you adjust the way you like. Ramen shop should take this seriously and automatically shop will get waiting line. These ingredients in this shop were sitting cold until you get order and gets heat up for the bowl. First key I could suggest is heat up all items including bowl in proper temperature and make it very enjoyable. Ramen way is very long and fun.

New to the neighborhood Yukiya is a solid entry. Karaage- nicely seasoned batter gives the quality chicken a nice crunch and comes with a nice savory sauce 4/5 Gyoza- crispy and tasty with a nice ginger sauce 4/5 Beef curry udon- the curry here is awesome. Not to thick or thin and full of savory flavor. Fair portion of thin strips beef and awesome udon noodles. Will come here again and fits nicely in the neighborhood

Very cute and clean Ramen takeout and sit down restaurant. I enjoyed my bubble taro tea, gyoza, and my tonkotsu tamen. Everything was really good and the service was friendly. Restaurant is in a very popular area in Allston so was surprised it was pretty empty.

Yukiya took over the Fruity location and they did a great job renovating it! The restaurant has a huge mural of cute Darumas right as you walk in adding to the ambiance. It's a pretty small space with around probably a dozen or so tables and each table has a QR code to scan and order. This streamlines the entire process as it even knows your table number! I wasn't sure if there is a fee to order via the QR code (there's not) so I tried to order at the counter which resulted in the hostess/server looking very confused so I just went back to my seat to order via the website. I ordered the Hatcho Ramen just to get a sample of the chashu and chicken and also the takoyaki just to try some apps. The ramen looked really good when it came out with 3 pieces of chashu and 2 pieces of chicken. Upon tasting, the chashu was very flavorful, but the chicken lacked flavor...although it was very tender. The noodles was also the perfect texture I liked. The soup, which should be one of the main components that make or break ramen lacked sodium. If you've eaten ramen from Japan, you know the flavor of that rich and high blood pressure inducing salty broth...but that's what makes it so good! If the broth was saltier it would definitely be a winner. The takoyaki on the other hand was decent, but you can't really mess up takoyaki. All in all, glad that there is another ramen spot in Allston. Hopefully they will season the broth and chicken a bit more, but I would come back to try their other items!

    We got "N1. Tonkotsu Ramen"

One day after school, my friend and I were looking for a restaurant to eat ramen when we noticed this store. The inside is nice and comfortable and the menu can be seen online or they can provide a menu for you. The worked there was very kind when we asked him about the menu and if he thought we could split it! And the food came out very quick! We decided to save some money and order 1 ramen for the both of us, it was 15.99, and it sufficed! We also decided to split a strawberry lemonade, 5.99, and it was a pretty large amount! (We split that as well) The ramen was good, the broth was just a little strong with a lot of flavor, but the noodles were delicious! The strawberry lemonade was delicious and refreshing! Overall, a great experience specially if you want somewhere quick with good ramen.

Yukiya took over the fruity bubble tea place and has changed into a small restaurant. There's a handful of tables and some seating at the windows as well. I came on a Friday night and we scanned the QR code to view the menu to order. We got the takoyaki to share and I got spicy miso ramen and passion dream tea. The takoyaki was crisp on the outside and was filled with a small octopus piece. The ramen looked very red, slightly artificial, had chili flakes in it, but was not spicy at all. The broth was sweet, more like tomatoish. The noodles tasted like the ones you get packaged from the supermarket to make stir fry noodles. The pork and chicken were good, not too dry and had a roasted flavor to them. The service is quick so you shouldn't have to wait long for your food. They also serve rice bowls, which I would consider trying if I decide to go back. Overall, not the best ramen, but good appetizers and bubble tea.

I came here with my cousin, and the food was excellent! The worker there was super nice. I loved the scenery and the menu. It had a comfortable vibe to it. Overall they are pretty affordable.

Yukiya Ramen is AMAZING!!! I find it much better than other ramen places in the area. It's a small shop, so I can imagine it's pretty packed on nights and weekends, but I went for a solo weekday lunch right at opening and was sat right away. I got the karaage chicken (SOOOOOO juicy and delicious and saucy), tonkotsu ramen (the pork belly was in a cute spiral and the broth was RICH and thick), and lychee lemonade (not too sweet, perfection). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

    Shio tonkotsu ramen
    Kevin S.

Food (1/2): Ordered the shio tonkotsu. The broth's flavor are closer to chicken instead of pork-based and almost tasted like ready-made buillon. Not quite certain if that's what they're going for or not--I would've expected tonkotsu to be pork-based. Nevertheless, it was decent. The pork belly cut's thickness was slightly inconsistent with a much-smaller diameter than I was usually served in other places. The cut was also torched on one side only but the flavor was ok; it was well-seasoned and was the right tenderness. The menma was way overcooked and incredibly soggy, losing all of its crunchy texture. Further, the nori felt very limp and "wet" even the ones not soaked in the soup. It feels almost as if they bought some random packaged nori. The aji-tama was decent, though a bit too runny for my liking. The mushroom and noodle was good and standard, nothing to write home about. Noodle was surprisingly well-cooked. Service/wait-time/clean (1.5/2): The place has you ordering via a barcode on the table which is new to me--I didn't like the app requiring you to put your phone number (and/or email?). Nevertheless, the servers there were quick and helpful when needed. The place is still very clean but the place is new so... Price (0.5/1): Overall, mixed bag of experience. The price for the ramen seems decent as well as other "main-course" items but some items in appetizer or donburi (if you look at the menu) feels astonishingly overpriced. I would suggest this place if you don't particularly care about non-main dishes and you're fine with satisfactory ramen for reasonable price (which in my opinion isn't particularly worth it). The place is also new...so who knows...benefit of the doubt for now...

A perfect place for a rainy day! Visited recently to try this newer ramen spot. Even though there was only one server working the floor, they were attentive and quick to seat us and serve us. Scan to order was helpful as well. I was intrigued by the chicken broth based ramen and the half and half broth -- both were really delicious and helped cut the sometimes overwhelming richness from a pork broth. Noodles were well cooked. Also got a passion fruit boba with popping bubbles which was a perfect sweet balance to the savory meal! Would definitely recommend as a great ramen spot in Allston!

We walked into a cozy, compact space with a traditional ramen shop feel, the kind of place where the smaller layout gives it a more intimate atmosphere. The interior is warm and functional, with a counter and a few tables that make it a comfortable stop for a warm meal, though seating can be limited during busier times. The energy stays focused and efficient, fitting the style of a neighborhood ramen spot. The ramen is the main reason to visit. The menu offers a variety of broths and styles, including tonkotsu, miso, shoyu, and spicy options. We ordered the spicy miso ramen and found it had a good balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming, with the broth rich enough to carry the noodles and toppings without becoming too heavy. The noodles had a nice texture, and the bowls felt satisfying, especially on a colder day. The toppings, including pork belly and other additions, helped add more depth to the meal, with the chashu tender and well seasoned and the soft-boiled egg cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. The appetizers are also worth trying. Items like karaage, takoyaki, and gyoza pair well with the ramen and make the meal feel more complete, and we appreciated that the menu has enough variety for a quick ramen stop or a longer meal where you want to try multiple dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that Tora Ramen is cash only, so it is worth planning ahead before visiting. There is an ATM nearby, but it can be inconvenient if you are not expecting it. The restaurant is also fairly small, so there may be a wait during peak hours, though the turnover is usually reasonable and the staff handle the flow efficiently. Tora Ramen is a solid spot for ramen in Chinatown. The cozy atmosphere, flavorful bowls, and casual experience make it a good choice when you are craving a comforting meal. The cash-only setup and limited seating are small drawbacks, but the quality of the ramen makes it worth visiting for a warm, satisfying bowl in a no-fuss setting.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!
