Came here for their omurice as I've seen so many videos on Instagram. Good that they have in Boston. However, it's nice to see only. The taste is very ordinary and I definitely won't order that again. The yinyang ramen is a good idea as you got to try ramen in different favors. However, the taste is ordinary. The baby scallop is not bad. It's tender for sure. The popcorn chicken doesn't look good but the taste is good. We got a booth at noon and it's nice and has some privacy. I went there with my infant and husband on a Sunday morning at 11am. There was already a line. We waited 30 mins to get to the door. The staff told us due to the baby stroller we have to be on the waitlist and wait for the booth. Then waited another 20 mins to get a booth. The booth is cute and has more privacy. I do think it's a better option for us. The food was as good as the one in NY. I definitely will come back. I got the curry ramen with fried chicken. It was really flavorful and noodles were chewy. It was really good. My husband got a yinyang ramen and he said it's was as good as the NY one. We also got the fried squid. It's definitely a must order. It's so crispy. Thai iced tea was good too. The only thing I don't recommend is to come with more than 4 people due to the seating. It's harder to gather a big group unless you don't mind waiting. read more

I was really excited to try Kyuramen, especially after seeing all the hype on social media. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met at all. The broth wasn't super flavorful, and the chashu pork was gamey and bland. We had also ordered the bao buns which were really 90% bun, 5% spinach (??!), 3% sauce, and 2% pork. I think I would be better off popping into the HMart next door and making my own packaged ramen. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because the ambience was nice and clean (except the women's bathroom had a toilet that was dangerously overflowing). Staff was attentive and fast. I came in today for a late lunch around 2pm. I tried to search on yelp online to see if there was a waitlist because it's pretty common for restaurants to have a waitlist you can join before arriving, but there isn't for this restaurant. I joined the waitlist and the hostess who was working said it would be a 2 hour wait. Luckily, there are a lot of shops and restaurant nearby so I ended up just walking around the area. About 40 minutes later I got a text saying that a table was ready for me. My friend and I ordered everything to be shared because we wanted to try as much items as we can eat. We got an order of the yaki tori platter, spicy tonkatsu ramen, popcorn chicken and the pork tonkatsu omurice. Yaki tori platter- 3/10: the meats were all so tough, and honestly just tasted like everything was pan fried vs how it should be which is grilled. Spicy tonkatsu ramen- 6/10: honestly nothing special. The pork was very tender so I will say that was great. Not the best but also not the worst Popcorn chicken- 7.5/10: the best thing we ordered, good flavor but should be a bit more crispy. Recommend this item Pork tonkatsu omurice- 5/10: this was just average. The rice was a bit soft and overcooked and the demi glace sauce was underwhelming. The Thai tea was good! read more

My husband and I came here knowing it will be a little bit of a wait since its a brand new spot. The host informed us it will be 1 hr and 30 minutes wait which we were fine with. We put our name down on the waitlist at 3:09 PM. After checking the queue multiple times it went from 44 tables ahead of us to 24. After the 1 hr and 30 minute mark I noticed it jump back to 25 tables being a head of us. So I decided to go in to check with the host to see where we are as sometimes these app may glitch. He then informed us it will be another hour of a wait. Not sure why they will inform people it will be a certain amount of time and then it extending out to being more time. Just let people know it will be more than 2 hours if thats a case. We were unhappy with their inconsistent communication so we just left. Don't think we will be bringing our business here or will be trying it in the future. read more

However my experience was not as I hoped it would be. My partner and I both wanted to try the omurice. However, when we tried to order, we were only allowed one order of the omurice combo per party of 2, which was odd and disappointing. Also, the omurice only comes in a combo with a drink, which was weird as well, since I wasn't very interested in the drinks offered. I was quite frustrated at that but didn't want to make a fuss about it so I decided to opt for the pork ramen The food was pretty disappointing. The ramen broth was okay but the noodles and pork left much to be desired. I tried some of my partners omurice and it was just okay. I wanted to like this place... I will say they did a good job on marketing... but this just failed on every front for standards. I came at an odd hour but they had a wait list which wasn't cleared and empty seats... had to ask servers to sit me since it wasn't clear that they were not communicating with the 9 parties ahead. The layout is cool, but everything else was sad... server gave me 2 drinks and I had to ask the party next to me... The cooks were speaking in mandarin kinda loudly (not opposed to mandarin speaking chefs but it does affect ambience imo) but the fried rice tasted like Chinese fried rice... and it was way too salty. Demi glacé sauce was a huge let down which was the main reason I came. Tonkatsu was also kinda meh... pre-prepared frozen ones from hmart would be better. The couple next to me didn't finish anything either (ramen and omurice). I only finished it because if I didn't, my parents wouldn't let me hear the end of children starving in Africa. Also, the sad part is even Trader Joe's fried rice is better than what they served... anyways... Got the cherry blossom dessert and that was shockingly bad. I don't know for certain but it doesn't taste or feel like they used agar agar... (traditional for Japanese sweets). As much as I wanted to love this place, it failed to meet my lowest bar. Second, the bowl did not allow for you to slurp up all the broth; felt like I was disrespecting the culture but like their bowls gave me no choice #sorrynotsorry. Appetizers and rice were ok.
