This place is amazing. People don't understand how busy this place always is and are so impatient. The staff does everything they can to get your order in fast and make sure you're taken care of. The drinks are great. I've tried multiple of their special fruit teas and are all great. If you don't have a sweet tooth get 75% sugar! The ramen is amazing plain and simple. Careful about spice though if you can't handle spice don't get spicy. The ambiance is really nice. I love the honeycomb seating and how it's not too bright and even though there are lots of tables and it's a busy place you feel like you have your own space. It was a truly unique experience, as the restaurant was clean and well organized. We got in early enough to score a honeycomb booth seat which we were so excited about. We ordered the pork bao bun and octopus takiyaki ball appetizers and did the ramen for twi with dessert special. Everything was delicious, arrived in a timely manner, and the service was impeccable. I dined in with my husband and father in law. The restaurant has been beautifully built out. The elevated honeycomb seating area is of course very attractive and contributes to the great aesthetic they have going on. We didn't sit there due to mobility issues, so I don't know how comfortable it is up there, but it looks really cool. They also have two robots that deliver drinks. One looks like a cat and is kind of cute. It's a fun novelty that more and more places are featuring. We ordered the gyoza for my father in law since he wasn't very hungry, and we split the takoyaki and okonomiyaki. I absolutely loved the takoyaki. They season them very well. I think honestly that is the best takoyaki I have had anywhere. My only issue with them is that they might not have a lot of octopus in them. It was mostly batter, but very delicious batter!! The okonomiyaki was unfortunately not as good. It was a plain veggie pancake. It almost reminded me of the veggie medallions they sell at IKEA. Usually there is meat or seafood inside. It was not like any other okonomiyaki my husband has ordered and not in a good way. Ultimately, he didn't even finish it. We wouldn't order it again. My husband and I both ordered the omurice combos. My husband wanted the tonkatsu but unfortunately they did not have any. Instead we just had the original. Our combos came with an amazing lemonade or a Thai tea. My husband got the lemonade and I got the Thai tea. The lemonade is made with cucumbers and something else and we all tried it and didn't like it much. We wouldn't get it again. My Thai tea on the other hand was great! We liked it. I ordered my omurice with the curry sauce, and my husband got it with the Demi glace. I had asked the server if I could have it with both sauces on the side because I didn't know which sauce I would like better, and she told me I couldn't do that. The presentation of the omurice is very fancy, and is like that Kichi Kichi Omurice that went viral on YouTube. They bring you a platter with the rice and egg perched on top of it, and then they slice it open in front of you so that the egg drapes over the rice. Then they pour the sauce from a gravy boat and add seasoning on top. The curry sauce had a little kick to it but other than that was a standard Japanese style curry. The Demi glace is much better in my opinion. I thought the dish overall was ok and would have been better with a different sauce; on the other hand my husband liked the sauce and the egg on his platter but he hated the rice and said it wasn't good. Overall, it was a hit or miss. My husband said he wouldn't ever order the omurice again, and I would, just with a different sauce. The takoyaki were great, the okonomiyaki was not. The Thai tea was good, but not the lemonade. I'd like to come back and try the ramen. The other tables that had it looked great. I just wish there was more than 1 chicken ramen and 1 veggie ramen, all others came with pork, especially the broth. Same with the bao, they only had pork bao. Other options would be nice to have. Overall, I'm not writing it off, but I won't be racing to come back. read more

They did a solid job on the tonkatsu by providing a thin crispy layer outside the pork tenderloins. While the demi glaze sauce struggled to amplify the flavor of the omurice, it did a solid job with the tonkatsu. Amazing Lemonade: -Good -The subtle hints of cucumber add an additional freshness to the lemonade. Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly: -Good -This item was the highlight of the meal. This dessert dish was definitely unique and provided a solid refreshness to end your meal. Matcha Pudding w. Red Bean: -Mid -This was a tough one. They opened up recently and the interior is eye opening! On Saturday they had a wait time of 30minutes, which went by pretty fast. We got the combination B, consisting of two different types of flavored ramen, one appetizer, and two desserts. I personally liked the broth of kyushu tonkatsu ramen better. Very cute ramen spot equipped with the beehive seating and robot server. The ramen was pretty standard and the omurice was an experience. We also ordered the gua bao which had the traditional fatty pork but also included a spicy pepper on the bottom which we were not expecting. I am trying to prevent someone else from having the same experience we did so this will be long. I'll put a summary here and you can read the full experience below if you want. According to this waitress this place does no substitutions. If you can't eat pork you can not substitute for chicken or broth types. The broth is basically salty water and that includes the miso broth. The noodles are instant ramen quality. If you ask to not have something added to your ramen it will be added anyway and you get to pick it out instead. That includes pork. Popcorn chicken was just ok. Now on to my full review. This is not super far from our house. We usually go to jinya but I was excited this place offered miso so we wanted to give it a try. Decor was also really cute in the ads we saw. Well the decor was the only thing that wasn't a disappointment. We have been to a multitude of ramen places between Georgia and California so very experienced in what is normal. I was excited to see they offered a spicy tonkotsu ramen. My fiance and I don't like chashu pork and we were happy to see they offered chicken ramen, and since they are the same price on their menu we didn't think it would be a problem to substitute the pork with chicken. My fiance asked if instead of pork in his miso ramen we could do chicken. The waitress told us no as they don't do any substitutions. He told her he would rather have no meat then and she told him he could pay to add chicken into the dish as a side. We are already saving you money by not having pork in our dish, now you want us to pay extra to add chicken to the dish. I could understand if the chicken ramen was more expensive than the miso ramen with the pork in it but it's not. It's the same price so why then are we going to pay more to add meat that's the same price as the meat we took out? We have paid a dollar or two other places to change the meat type but having to order a whole second side of meat when you already took meat out of our dish? He told her we didn't want to do that and would just have miso ramen with no meat and to please leave out the bamboo shoots. She then came to me and I clarified that they don't substitute anything or just meat as I had wanted to get the spicy tonkotsu with chicken but since they won't do that I asked if instead of ladeling chicken broth into the bowl I wanted the spicy tonkatsu broth as I prefer my ramen spicy. They couldn't do that so I just ordered plain chicken ramen with my toppings on the side to give to my fiance since he wasn't going to have meat. I was hoping the cayenne powder at the table would be enough to make it spicy and flavorful. It wasn't. Food arrives. First thing we notice is despite asking for no pork or bamboo shoots his bowl is full of pork and bamboo shoots. After picking out the pork and bamboo and putting it on a platee we start to eat. The waitress didn't even acknowledge all the stuff we asked to not be in there was added. The broth is straight watery and salty. His miso didn't even taste like it. I don't like miso since it's a stronger flavor but I tried a sip of his broth and it didn't taste anything like it. It just tasted like salty water. The noodles in both tasted like instant noodles from a packet. The chicken broth was also extra salty and didn't really taste like chicken at all. It was not good. I tried adding some cayenne but all I could taste was salt. I was hoping at least the grilled chicken would be tasty but they don't seem to season it in any way. So it's just plain grilled chicken and since the broth didn't have flavor I ended up just not eating 90% of my food because it tasted bad. When you order miso ramen It tends to separate and clump up so you kind of have to stir it every once in a while to get the miso to incorporate. There was no clouding or clumping. It was literally just vaguely pork and salt filled water. Not a single cloud of miso in that bowl. The eggs were also really cold. We let them sit under the broth for a couple minutes to try and get them to warm up but they never did. It was not good. For $16 a bowl, it's only $2 less than the place we go usually and we leave there full. Won't be back. read more

I would give it 4 stars but since it's a soft opening i am feeling generous plus the desserts at the end was goood so I am in a good mood. First, the decorations are really nice, the place is spacious, they make bee booths which is very cool to sit in, it's just that you can't really lean back cuz your head will hit the top wall but the ambiance is very nice. Second, the ramen broth was actually exceptional, both miso and shio was good, miso broth was more flavorful while shio brown is light and elegant, you can still taste the sweetness from bone broth, eggs seasoning are on point, creamy and tasty, chasu though is the least shining part in the bowl, it's not bad, just nothing special, and on the thinner side too, but I like the seaweed, my husband said his bambooshoots are still cold , but mine is warm and nice. The popcorn chicken was salty!!! It's not that crispy either and that's why I wanna take out one star, we had to ask for some lemon pieces cuz it was too salty we can't eat it by itself. The last and best part: dessert!! There are only 2 desserts in the menu, and the one the blow my mind is the matcha pudding! It was sooo creamy and just sweet enough, and it taste heavenly like, even the red bean topping is not those jam from the can, it's sweet enough and a perfect combination with the pudding, you must try this! The sakura jelly to me is normal, it's very light and smell really good from the syrup, I am not a fan of the texture though. Anyway, it was a great dining experience, the waiters even though busy are nice and attentive, the food was good, the sitting was nice, and amazing matcha pudding at the end. The wait was longer than we were initially quoted but it was a Friday night around 7pm, so we didn't anticipate a wait at any restaurant to be under 50 minutes. You'll be seated in a private room, in a honeycomb or in the main dining area. Meal pricing was average when compared to other Ramen restaurants in the general area. I ordered the chicken ramen and after tasting the first bite I was immensely underwhelmed. The ramen bowl had great presentation but did not have good flavoring and dark meat was used rather than white meat. The ramen chicken bowl also did not have a spicy option. Finally had the opportunity to try Kyuramen last night and I absolutely loved it!! The food and desert were very delicious and flavorful. I got the Japanese Curry Ramen and my friend had the Korean Kimchi Ramen. For desert we got the Matcha pudding and Sakura Jello. Such good food for a good price! The service was horrible and disorganized. Wouldn't recommend coming with a group until they work out all the kinks.
