Delicious chocolates! I bought a Mini Mousses Orange Dark, Dark Truffle, and a Yuzu Praline, all were excellent!

My absolute fav chocolate store! Yes it's pricey but it's quality chocolate! Whenever i'm at Prudential center, i always stop by. I like that they can give you samples, though honestly i want to sample them all! I haven't tried anything there that i didn't like/love. My fav/go-to purchases are hazelnut milk chocolate and the Dubai chocolate.

The chocolates taste good. I tried two different ones and glad I didn't get more. It was just enough to try but not crave more. I can either take it or leave it. However, a lot of people were in there buying quite a bit of chocolate.! if you go by one or two and explore whether or not you wanna purchase a lot.

Here for the chocolate but found this cutie.

Don't let the crowd detour you. It's busy for a reason! I stopped by to get a free sample, and it was so good, I decided to get a box of the truffles. Service was fast and friendly despite the crowd. The price for what I got was on point with other chocolatiers. The flavor combos are delicious. Next time I need a gift for a chocolate lover, I'm coming here. Next time you're at the Pru, check it out for yourself!

After walking the streets of downtown Boston nothing beats some dark chocolate. The chocolate here is FANTASTIC !!!

Fancy Switzerland chocolate. You can ask for a sample of the chocolate you want to buy just to make sure you'll like what you buy. They're pretty nice. I tried a couple of different ones. Anything with white chocolate seems too sweet for me. The dark and milk chocolate are better. I ended up buying dark chocolate with strawberry and Milk Chocolate with florentine. The Dark chocolate with strawberry is perfect for anyone that doesn't like sweets because it's tart and only slightly sweet. The Milk Chocolate with florentine is a little sweeter but not bad. It has a nice crunch from the florentine like eating toffee.

If this Chocolate Store would have been in a mall at home, I would have kept walking. BUT, we were in the area for a staycation and were craving chocolate. Lucky them! It was close to closing, so I understand the lack of friendliness. Lucky for them we were in the mood for chocolate, so it was a sale regardless.

This! I was so excited when I passed by this store in Boston. I'd never seen it before and the display was alluring that it made me want to come inside and check out the assortment of chocolates. I wasn't disappointed as I was offered some samples of the pieces that interested me. My favorites were the white chocolate with pistachios and the other one I believe a white chocolate mixed with raspberries ! Wow!! The lady at the front Rachel was very knowledgeable and kind. I honestly think I'll never eat any other kind of chocolate !!! Switzerland Chocolate is amazing!!!!!! It's pricey but worth savoring every bite!!!

If you are looking for some tasty fancy chocolates, this is the place to go to. They have some of the best chocolates I've had. The prices are a bit spendy, but you do get what you pay for. One of my favorites was the strawberry-curd chocolate. It's like a great strawberry cream shake. It's a must try!

Delicious and beautiful chocolates with the friendliest employees! The store is bright and beautiful. There's a large selection of chocolate and truffles. The employees are friendly and offer samples. The chocolate is smooth, creamy and so good. My favorite is the dark chocolate with blackberries. My husband loves the strawberry bar. So good and we left with some for us and for friends!

Excellent chocolate at this deluxe spot in the prudential center. Be warned it is priceyyy. But friendly staff and free samples make up for it. Recommend to any chocolate lover!

Oatmeal raisin is never the choice when chocolate chip is around, but Levain's oatmeal raisin is incredible. There are definitely less raisins now than there used to be, but I'm fine with it because I'm really only in it for the soft, cookie dough goodness anyway. Service is quick and speedy since there's always an outrageous line, but well worth it to gain 4lbs in 25 seconds.

Our server was extremely patient with us as we took a long time picking out exactly what we wanted, and once we were ready, she was there ready for us with a smile. Sounds like a little thing, but it took away all that awkwardness you can feel when staring at cookies for way too long. The shop itself is really cool inside. Love the small seating area out front, perfect for people watching on Newbury. And finally- the cookies themselves were all great. We got a Chocolate Chip Walnut, Two Chip Chocolate Chip, and a Raspberry Pistachio. All were fresh, tasty, and certainly worth the trip. Levain lives up to their reputation and proves to be a great spot with great service. Will definitely be back!

Honest thoughts: The cakes were indeed beautifully crafted, but $13 was overpriced. The cake quality didn't meet the steep price. The cafe was self-service and some furnitures were quite worn out. From their ig, I saw the price tag was ~$9 last year. It was aggressive to raise $4 within a year.....It would be more reasonable to charge at or under $10. *Autumn Leaf $13 * This seasonal special was my favorite. Spiced sponge and pecan crunch were wrapped inside the subtly sweet maple mousse, with a hint of banana flavor coming through midway. The spiced cake tasted like fall. *Geometric Apple $13 The geometric apple is their bestseller but I found the flavors didn't match well with one another. The outer layer was cheesecake mousse, while the center was filled with apple compote, caramel, and chocolate cake. The cake was quite sweet, and the sourness from apple put me off. The chocolate crunch inside was too hard to eat.

The cafe itself is clean and surprisingly large, with 3 levels of seating. I picked the geometric apple; made of cheesecake mousse, apple compote, caramel, dark chocolate crunch, and a chocolate sponge. I can happily say the dessert tasted as good as it looked. All of the layered flavors worked well together resulting in a delicious treat. $13 for one dessert is a splurge to me, but it was worth it. Service was fast and friendly. Would love to visit again and try a different item.

We weren't sure how to enter, so we started in the bookstore and found their convenient elevator downstairs! The restaurant is tiny but cozy, which is the perfect atmosphere for a book store! We sat outside in the little courtyard and it's a mix of magical and relaxing! There were only a few tables, so it wasn't overcrowded and with nice weather, it was perfect. I had a salad with salmon on the side which was delicious - and the ginger lemonade - wonderful! From buttered noodles to seafood, everything was executed well. The staff didn't rush us even though they were busy - and they had to give really long wait times to a number of others, but we still weren't rushed. I would highly recommend reservations, but even without we were treated very well. Pricing was in line with city pricing - and the food was extremely high quality and produce was lovely - not a shriveled lettuce leaf in sight. We then went upstairs to the bookstore and perused - each floor has something fun to see (including a tiny kids door - or is it a mouse door for the mouse who stars in the book about the store?!). 100% worth a visit - definitely stop in!

Beacon Hill Books and Cafe is a three story independent bookstore set inside a townhouse on Beacon…read moreHill, and the physical space does as much work as the inventory in making it worth a visit. We walked into a building with the kind of architectural character that chain bookstores cannot manufacture, with small rooms opening into each other across multiple floors, wallpapered walls, and reading nooks distributed throughout that invite you to slow down rather than move through quickly. The book selection is well curated with staff recommendation cards on the shelves that actually reflect genuine enthusiasm rather than perfunctory notes. We saw limited edition hardcovers and local and regional titles appearing alongside the broader fiction and nonfiction selection. Browsing felt productive rather than overwhelming because the curation kept things focused. The kids section upstairs is one of the more delightful in Boston, with a train running along a track near the ceiling that tends to make a strong impression on younger visitors. There is also an art print vending machine on the second floor that draws its own audience of visitors looking for something small and specific to take home. The cafe occupies the lower level and operates as a separate experience from the bookshop above. We ordered the oat milk cappuccino with Vermont maple syrup, which was worth it. The morning glory scone and the popovers are two other items to consider. The cafe is tiny, around eight tables inside with a small patio, and reservations are recommended for breakfast and afternoon tea service. Pricing at the cafe is on the higher end, and certain fixed price service formats on specific dates push it considerably further, so checking current pricing before booking is worth doing. For a bookshop that doubles as a destination in its own right, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe delivers a cozy, curated experience that rewards lingering. It is the kind of place we would return to just to sit and read with a good coffee.
