Oh no no no! Italian Kitchen?! More like Greasy Oily Ugh Kitchen! I tried LA Italian Kitchen on a quick visit to The Block on a friend's suggestion. I had a slice of pepperoni pizza with a side of ceasar salad. The dressing was lumpy with way too much parmesan on the salad. The pizza must have been one of the worst I've ever had. Other people have complained about the high price but really the price is about the same level as any mall fast food place. But it doesn't matter because the food is terrible. Perhaps I got there on an 'off day' but there was enough salt in their foods to preserve your intestines until the next ice age. Got a slice of pepperoni pizza and slice of cheese pizza for my kids. They refused to eat that stuff. Imagine - kids refusing to eat pizza? The pizza dough was dry and leathery. The pepperoni was paper thin. The cheese and sauce was tasteless because there was so much salt, you can't taste a dang thing. You're better off eating pizza at your jr high school cafeteria. Yah it's that bad. Stromboni and spinach lasagna were not quite as bad though still extremely salty. About the only saving grace was the lemonade. That was actually delicious. Management needs to encourage there employees to be positive. I sense a dread of emotions there and it seems to be contagious. I hope that these ladies that work there are treated with dignity. I am not implying that these workers need to thrilled like they have just ride a roller coaster, However low energy and inability to be happy seems to me that there is something wrong. Management needs to recognize this and just be friendly and create a friendly atmosphere. The food I rate a 3.5, it is a little greasy. Lets work on healthier food. The pizza here looks so good. It looks like a proper thin crust pizza. Don't be fooled by the looks (a good thing to keep in mind for many things in life beyond pizza), the pizza tastes horrible. It really just lacks any sort of taste. It is unbelievably bland. I don't really know how to describe it. Poor quality ingredients perhaps? The first red flag I had once I entered the restaurant was the less than enthusiastic employees, not even a friendly hello or one smile I felt like I walked into a jail. The second issue I had was when I Ordered a Slice of pizza and large Caesar salad. The total came out to be 14 bucks. The salad tasted as though they bought cheap salad bags of Walmart quality and it was warm instead of it being cold and crispy. It wasn't mixed at all so it was just warm lettuce where they give you a sauce cup and crouton bag. The pizza was less than average tasting and not really anything special. I would recommend any would be customers just go to little caesars or Pizza Hut. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a pizza place. The only thing "italian" about this restaurant is that they make terrible pizza. The only reason they're getting 1 Star is because the restaurant was clean. Do not eat here. read more

I'm not sure if this was the "hungry tummy talking" but seriously I think for typical mall food, this place is great. The price was great and the pizza was pretty good (again, I am not sure if this is the hungry tummy talking) I was extremely hungry. My kids who are also picky eaters they ate whole slice of pizza! Went here today with a craving for their stuffed pizza. The guy behind the counter said they only had spinach stuffed pizza. I know they have pepperoni stuffed pizza because I came here with my coworkers last month. So I have been wanting to pop in quite a bit in the last few years. I went in last night at 9pm. Maybe a few minutes after 9pm. I ask if they were opened becuase The Block (now The Outlets) looked empty. They had cleaned everything, carpets were up. So the employees looked at one another & the girl who atteneded me said, "Yes, but only for take out." It was freezing outside, all they were really doing was talking as I approached the business. "Ok That's Fine." They didnt have much, but since I don't eat meat really, I bought one of there spinich & brocoli pizza calzones they had. As I was waiting for them to heat up my food, yup I checked into Yelp. I was upset due to them lying about not being able to sit in & eat. They closed at 10 pm according to Yelp. I also felt a wierd vibe from the girl who attended me. I was the only customer in the building & it felt as though she like read off a script on what she had to say to guests. No, "Hi how are you..." No, "Bye & Thank You." Will I go back...No... The food wasn't as great as I expected. =/ read more

The menu is quite diverse for a mall eatery with pizza, stuffed pizza, ziti, spaghetti and meatballs, and healthy salad items on the side. Despite the diversity, I'm a sucker for their pepperoni and sausage stuffed pizza slices, cooked well done. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean, and the people who work here are both friendly, and professional. If you swing by the block for some stuff, or to see a movie, eat at the L.A. Italian Kitchen. You won't be disappointed. read more

The spaghetti and meatballs are superb! A bit pricey at $10~ for the combo but it's worth it! Will get a lil crowdy on Fridays and Saturdays (moviegoer time), but a must have for all Outlets regulars. The owner genuinely cares about customer satisfaction and handles complaints with professionalism. The pizza is good too, as long as you buy it as a whole; why pay $5 per slice when you can get 8-10 slices for $20? They also offer discounted movie tickets per meal so that's always a plus! read more

It's is a convenient location, the food selection is good, but unfortunately the customer service isn't that great. If the customer service were better I would rate it higher. When I walked in the girl behind the counter seemed like she didn't want to be there. I ordered and she wasn't even polite almost like with an attitude. Then she says," enjoy your lunch". And on another occasion I asked if they were putting out any other pizza and they guy behind the counter said, " no we are almost closing" I look at the door and my way out and they closed at 9pm, when I walked out it was 8. Finally made it back to this place and decided to try out their pizza. You can get a 2 topping thin slice for $4.29 apiece. Cheaper 1 topping slices go for $3.50. There's 2 varieties...sausage and pepperoni AND a pineapple and ham style. I got the sausage one and added mushrooms to it. All VERY tasty and the crust was baked perfect with the right chewy texture and no burn spots on the bottom. Ordered 2 slices and ate just 1 for lunch which is a meal in itself. Looked at the thick sliced pizza stuffed with up to 3 or 4 items and didn't really need that much food. My grand total including a small soda was $11. A little on the steep side but worth it. Food is very similar to Sbarro's with deep dish pizzas, pizza by the slice, salads, and pastas. Big pizzas range from $16-$28 and are named after famous LA intersections. This is in the southern food court next to Subway and across from Jamba Juice. Place was empty but I was there right at 11am opening. According to their receipt they deliver in the local area. If all you want is something to eat, in a hurry and don't care about the quality then go here. We went here today for the first time and my slice of pizza was lukewarm. I had a pepperoni and mushroom slice where the mushroom was uncooked, the pepperoni was barely passable. The crust was doughy, the sauce was flavorless and the cheese was a very thin layer of goo. My kid had a pepperoni and pineapple and well at least the pineapple had some flavor. Slice #3 Pepperoni and sausage, flavorless and mushy. Slice #4 Cheese pizza, looked mushy and it was falling apart, needed to use a fork on half of it. It's sad to say that the best part of the meal were the soft drinks and water. read more

I was worried that this place might be another sbarro clone but it fortunately was not. I got the 2 slice combo with one slice being sausage and shroom and the other supreme. It was quick and decent. The bread was crispy (as I like) yet the flavor was okay. Nothing mind blowing or revolutionary. The gripe I have with it is that the pizzas looked dried out so it might have been sitting out for a while under those lamps. read more

I am a frequent shopper at the outlets of Orange, probably the result of me working in one of the corporate buildings across the street so a lunch out to LA Italians kitchen is nothing new, I go here often. I have never had a bad experience there but today I chose to write a review only because it was different in a good way, I had an exceptional experience all thanks to one employee (Mamta M) they didn't have the type of pizza I wanted, so instead of only asking what id rather have, she asked if I wanted to wait, I chose to wait and she made sure the pizza got in to the oven right away. she didn't seem upset or annoyed that I wanted to wait she was happy to do it. She was very friendly and held a conversation with me while I waited. It took no time at all and when it was done she was quick to serve me and made sure I had everything I wanted before I left the restaurant all with a smile on her face.
