I would love to know how the service of this company is, but I guess I'll never know because I cancelled my appt due to lack of communication from dispatcher, David. I called on Monday and scheduled an appt for Wed. At the time, David couldn't tell me when the plumber would arrive since he would be in various areas of the city. I told him that I would be available any time after 2:30 p.m. He advised that he would call me on Tuesday to set up the appt. When I received no call on Tuesday, I called him back on Wed morning. David advised that he had a cancellation and the plumber could make it between 2 p.m.-4 p.m. I rushed home from work so I could be there at 2 p.m. Four p.m. came and no plumber. I called David who said that he would call with the plumber's ETA in 15 minutes. It's now 6:20 p.m. and do you think I received any call back from David??? I called my home warranty company, cancelled the appt. and registered a complaint with them. I love the fact that they thinks the customer has all afternoon to sit around and wait for them to never show up. read more

I called and scheduled what I was told would be a free estimate to see why my water heater wouldn't light. Anthony came and in few minutes told me I was in luck that the unit was still under warranty. He called AO, and they began talking him through the process. he then told me while on the phone with AO that he thought it was the thermal coupler. I asked what it would cost if it was the thermal coupler, he told me 175 in labor alone. AO wasn't willing to honor the warranty on the part without him confirming that it was the thermal coupler, so they asked him to use a meter to check the thermal coupler. he didn't have a meter with him so he left to get a meter. He didn't ask me to sign anything. he didn't put the estimate in writing, he didn't tell me for him to go get the meter would mean I had to pay for a service call. He left and I assumed that we were still trying to determine what was wrong so I could get an estimate, which I was told would be free. it took almost two hours for him to return, and after he got back on the phone with AO and using the meter anthony determined it was the thermal coupler as he had originally suspected. He told me he could pick one up and have the warranty item shipped back to him as a replacement. I asked to be able to call in the morning after I talked it over with my roommate. he then told me there would be a service call fee for picking up and using the meter. I informed him I didn't agree to that, he didn't tell me that at any point and after the fact seemed unfair. I asked how much wanted and he said 60. I repeated I didn't agree or sign anything for a service fee and that I was expecting a free estimate, and I would call back in the morning to confirm and to set a time. 15 minutes later Anthony came back and demanded a new figure of 95 for the service fee. I told him I would not pay that but he could give me the paperwork and to let the owner and me to work this out. 4 hours later I never heard from John the owner, so I called around and found another company willing to do it for 120 instead of the 175 LA Master Plumbers wanted. I was willing to pay the 175 and simply wanted to make sure my roommate would cover half, I would not have let LA Master Plumbers extort 60 or 95 dollars out of me because they don't carry all the right tools on their trucks. if john had called me we could have worked this out. Even after I found a better price. But John doesn't have the courage to call the client he is trying to extort money from. he can't see past a small job and try to gain a client that in my case has other plumbing issues I want to deal with in the future. perhaps concerned about the time anthony spent, a simple phone call and to treat me with respect and honesty about trying to turn a free estimate into a paid service call and I would have paid the additional 55 dollars over a lower bid of 120 or perhaps pointed out his own website claims he will match any written estimate by his competitors and asked for a better rate of say maybe 150 or the 120 a competitor wants. Originally I wasn't trying to get a better deal than the 175 just wanted to make sure my roommate would cover her half before I agreed and confirmed the appointment to do the work. The attempts to extort money has lost John the job and the client and any people who ask me for a plumber, as I will warn everyone I know not to deal with this company. read more

La master plumbers are the worst. This was the company assigned to us from our home warranty repair, so our hands were tied behind our back. They stood us up for the first appt and said it was a lack of communication from our side (customer) even though we took off work to arrange for them to come to our home. The second appt was 2-4, they arrived 6:15 on a Friday with no courtesy call. We called the customer call center on a Wednesday, we were told our issue would be deemed an emergent call since we have two young children in the home. Two weeks later our water heater was "repaired" only to find out a few days later the water was scorching HOT (maybe he turned it up to the max). Nope I guess now the thermostat went out. We called the customer service line back to report our concern and again we have to deal with LAMP. This time they came out on the day they said they were, but over an hour late with no courtesy call even though they said they would do so when we made the appt. Since the faulty issue can be fixed with a simple part that can be picked up at a local hardware store, we opted for the part to be picked up instead of mailed from across the country (as with the last part). We were told by the tech he would call us the following day to schedule an appt, four days passed and we finally called, their response, "oh we were just going to call you" what a laugh!!! Avoid this company at all costs. The receptionist is rude and is usually talking to someone in the background regardless if the call is incoming or outgoing, I'm quite certain she's the wife of the owner. When she called us to confirm one of the appts she was giggling and laughing to a very close voice in the background. She didn't even remember who she called and literally for the first 15 seconds of the call (still giggling and laughing) she was fumbling through papers trying remember who she called. La master plumbers are the worst! The have horrible communication, unprofessional on the phone and wasted our time! read more

Terrible service, doesn't keep appts, will be complaining to my home warranty service. They need to be removed from the home warranty business. Maybe if they had to work for their business it would help them to keep appts and not be no- shows. Also don't even call to say running late. No stars- negative rating. read more

John was very awesome! I had a leak from a water filter and he made time to stop by at 8:30 at night before another appointment to help me. He came back the next day and fixed the leak and didn't over charge me. He really helped me out when I was in a tight spot, thanks John! read more

I highly recommend LA Master Plumbers. I was having a recurring problem with my water heater and the heater eventually needed replacement, but they took care of calling the manufacturer on my behalf and dealing with all of the paperwork needed for the warranty. When they came back to install the new one, the service tech encouraged me to hang out in the garage with him while he talked me thru what he was doing. Great, honest work, with no hidden costs. Everything that I was responsible for cost-wise was laid out to me before they even showed up! read more

Amazing service!! I have used this company twice for issues at my house. Both times they were on time got the work done quick and saved me hundreds of dollars from what other plumbers were going to charge. Recently we had a pipe burst at our church in the evening after 7pm. I gave them a call and they were there within 15 minutes and fixed the break. Won't use anyone else! read more

This is one of the best and most honest plumbing companies I have ever used. They know what they are doing, tell you exactly what the problem is and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. They have been to my house twice for different issues. The latest was to fix an issue the plumber sent my my home warranty company did not fix because they told me it would be $900 and my insurance wouldn't cover it. John came out discovered the problem was not what the initial company diagnosed and it is costing less than half the original amount covered. read more

La Master Plumbers is one the the best plumbing companies that have come to my home. John Miranda fixed our pressure regulator and also was very honest in quoting a fair price as well as providing advice with replacing some of the plastic fixtures with brass fittings for better durability. He was very thorough in explaining how each part of the pressure regulator worked. The problem was fixed in a timely manner and both John and the answering service were pleasant and professional. Not a good experience . This company needs to change the way they do business or they will go out of business eventually . Too bad ,the first guy that came out john seemed honest and nice , if they would only perform . People go somewhere else . I paid 60$ to have someone tell me my water heater doesn't work . I think that's why I called them duh . My home ins company is investigating there practices .I think , sorry I know I will get my money back . So I can give the money to the real Plummber that came out and fixed the problam in 5 min after they dragged me a few days with no hot water . So disappointed . Too bad . Why tell someone you will be bringing the part to fix the water heater then only change a wire instead .the tech said he needs to pick up the gas assembly valve in woodland hills so he was gone 3 hours and he came back and only changed a wire . I asked him if he fixed it he said no , I said why don't u change the gas assembly like john the owner said that it needed to be replaced , the tech excuse was that they needed to order a " special " key to remove the part and he left . He said maybe will get the key in a few days ..I told him I will talk with the office to ask If he can get some assistance and they said there have other calls to take care of . The secretary was nice and polite and I guess she doesn't know what goes on in the field .At least me and the new plumber that fixed it had a good laugh .john as the owner I'm sure u can't be on all the jobs but Maybe instead of writing an excuse on the reply that will probably come in a few days like all the other bad reviews they will take this review and actually learn from it in fixing the problems and not blaming the customers you should know who works in your company . I just bought a home covered under Home Warranty. I had the worst experience ever with LA Master Plumbers came out to my home three times and could not diagnose the problem correctly. Anthony came out twice and could not fix the problem only came back the 2nd time to scratch a brand new toilet. The owner John Miranda came out the 3rd time to tell us the toilet was not working due to a object stuck in the toilet and it had to be replaced. Not happy with the outcome I called a different plumbing company they came out with a snake that broke due to a piece of wood stuck in the pipes not in the toilet as the toilet had already been removed. read more
