We stopped her for breakfast with the family. There were 6 of us. For parties 6 or more they will not split the check, just a heads up on that. The service was good, the food was ok. It's definitely has the old times feel to the place. The menu is different it's not your ordinary breakfast menu so if you are looking for something different maybe check it out. I personally won't not go back because it just wasn't anything to write home about in my opinion.

I ordered here early morning eight at opening. I attempted to place a phone order but no one answered. I ended up coming in and ordering. The server greeted me promptly and came over shortly to take my order. The phone rang and she told me to hold while she grabbed their order. Off to a weird start ..... Now on to the food. I ordered the equivalent to the Route 21 but with no meat. My order was cooked to perfection. I may order again but I am a little hesitant.

The turkey club. Large and delicious.

The place looks kind of like a 40's restaurant. It's very nice. The service is good except they didn't ask if we wanted dessert and I really did. The food was very good and the prices are reasonable. They close at 1:30 so you need to get there early. This is my new favorite place.

Great breakfast! They have a large dinning room with lots of tables. Big menu and many things to choose from. Fast service!

This is a great local place with super friendly service. The decor is nothing fancy and the prices are great. They have a big selection of items in the $8-10 range which is getting harder to find. I had the spinach supreme omelet and a side of bacon. It comes with sliced potatoes and choice of bread. The portions are large and the coffee is good. The service was very prompt as well. There are lots of choices for breakfast in the area but I will definitely return here.

A well known gem in the Independence area that serves some of the best breakfast I have ever had. The place is pretty spacious with an open floor plan which gives it a comfy vibe. The staff is always nice and punctual. My husband and I ordered to go and our food was ready in like 15 mins. This was a busy day too and we were in and out. We ordered pancakes, pecan french toast and a breakfast combo. The food is a large portion that fills you up but still leaves you wanting more. My favorite item on the menu has to be their breakfast potatoes. I love how they are made with a crisp edge and soft insides. I'm excited to try more menu items in the future.

Amazing prices for the quality and quantity of food. I always order take-out and the food is always ready within 10 minutes. The main woman who runs the front desk needs to be protected at all costs. She always makes my day with her positive attitude.

La Pete's is hands down my go to American breakfast joint in the Cleveland area. Here's what you should know about LA Pete's: * the food is great & the menu isn't huge. I've yet to try something that wasn't good * Try The bacon! It's huge & thick cut. you just have to try it! * The prices can't be beat. I can get a breakfast with French toast, eggs, potatoes and bacon for 6.99; less than a drive through fast food joint! * The staff is always friendly and the service is great. I can be a pain ordering sometimes and it's never been a problem here and my orders always spot on!

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. The portions are generous, the flavors are unique, and the quality is consistently excellent. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch...you really can't go wrong here.

We haven't seen these friends in a bit so we were kinda eating and lounging and talking. We ordered the original corn beef to split the regular size and we got the homade potato and cole slaw. Our guests got the corn beef as well and potato pancakes as their side. One liked the potato pancakes and one did not. They are mash potato consistency not shredded. I tasted they were ok to me. The potato salad and cole slaw were both good. Better choice. The corn beef actually looked smaller than usual. It was good but I thought it had been larger in the past. Maybe not anymore. Service was good. Food came out on time. This is a good place to go. Prices are a bit high but it's a deli. You can do what we did and split the sandwich. It enough food. Bar is nice. The patio is nice too. It's a good space and they even have a party room if you want to rent it out. Slymans is an institution. We will be back at some point again.

The first course was complimentary breads with olive tapenade. The breads were so rustic and delicious. The olive tapenade was a great dipping sauce. For appetizer, I got fried calamari. It was a modern Italian twist. The fried calamari was so tender. It had light breading. It was fried together with olives, sun dried tomatoes, sliced shiitake mushrooms and some basils. It was so good that I kept eating it. For entrees, I got the bone-in CAB ribeye. It was cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy, tender and had a little bite to it. The asparagus was great in the dish. However, I was not too keen on crispy potatoes with Gorgonzola cheese. The cheese kinda made the potatoes a bit salty. I didn't enjoyed it at all. The beef short rib was another entree I tried as well. It was tender but the flavor was not deep and complex. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with the food. I would come back if I am ever in the area.

I had the hotcakes, 2 meats, eggs, and home fries, and they were kind enough to swap my bacon and sausage for the pot roast. Yes, pot roast for breakfast -- and it did not disappoint! I also loved that the new lemonade was refillable. Little things like that make a big difference. My significant other had the fish sandwich and fries, and he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. But the real star of this visit? Our server, Cory. This man was BUSY -- like, genuinely moving -- and not once did it break his flow. He was attentive, knowledgeable, polite, and still found time to check in on us throughout the meal. That kind of energy and dedication is rare, and it made the entire experience feel special. I watched who seemed to be a manager walk up ans proceed to check out customers from the dining area, who I had been waiting for about 10 minutes ahead of. He never greeted me, nor looked my way. After another 5 mins he walked back over and asked was I cashing out, or picking up. I gave my name and he handed me the bag. He never apologized for the wait, or even thanked me for stopping in. I arrived 2:42p, I did not leave until 3:06p. The food was obviously cold when I got it, and my son's French fries in his chicken tender kids meal were, sparse and tough. I've never had an issue like this with Bob Evans before. I will never be back to this location, if at all. There are too many mom and pop places, to choose from.
